The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

I really loved listening to this story….action, suspense and magic all rolled up into a great adventure. This story follows Ian Troy, who is a bounty hunter. Years after a war… he still tries to forget with so much loss…but the enemy is always close behind…

This was a great fantasy story and the narrator was fantastic as well and I felt like I was more in the story then just listening 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Five  Stars

This is the first book in the Crown of Stones trilogy. Magic Price is the amazing beginning of this awesome series. Ian Troy is a Soldier Shinree. When he finds and uses the Crown Of Stones, his life spins out of control. After ten years of running, he must make a difficult decision to lead the resistance and learn to harness the magic to save the Realm and his people, the Shinree. He learns the truths about his heritage. The world that Schneider created with this trilogy is truly brilliant, so detailed it feels like you are part of what’s happening and can personally interact with the characters because you know them so well.

This is the first book I have listened to by this narrator. He really makes the story amazingly lifelike. I enjoyed his voice and inflections of the different characters. I have read these books before I got the Audiobook, but I appreciate the story more with the audio. I recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves sci-fi, fantasy or just plain action adventure. I suggest if you’re going to read it start at the beginning with The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price, Magic-Scars and finally Magic-Borne. This series is amazing and magical!

This book is an awesome listen. This is the second book in the Satan’s Devils series. This is Drummer and Sam’s story. Drummer is the MC President and Sam is the headstrong lady on a mission to meet her father. This is what brought them together…
Sam is so strong and a great match for Drum. The MC storyline is dark and dangerous.
The narration was flawless. Sierra and Logan’s voices blended together and brought the characters to life. Just a great overall listen.

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Piper Foster

I love the descriptive work in this book. Ian Troy ends a brutal war by conjuring the Crown of Stones and he’s left the only survivor after this use. He’s of the Shirnee race and they are addicted to magic and kept as the bottom racking. I would say this is a dark fantasy novel this is an amazing start to the series. I would recommend for 16 + due to the language used.

This is the second book by this author I listened too and I love it… The length of the books is great! I love audible books so this is a plus. The audible is great the narrator is great. I’ve had books that bug me because of the narrator, but not here. Any series by this author, wether book or audible, you won’t be disappointed!! Can’t wait for the next book !!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Lyndsay Withey

Sometimes an audiobook helps to bring a story to life and other times it makes it more difficult to fully enjoy the story. In this case it definitely helped bring the story to life. Right from the start the listener (reader) is captured inside a world full of wonder. The main character is a Shinree, a race that has the ability to use magic but it comes at a cost. Any time they use magic it costs not only life around them but it feeds the individuals addiction. The main story takes place 10 years after the war in the prologue and shows the world after the cost has been paid.

The second book in this series and it definitely did not disappoint! Drummer and Sam’s story is probably one of my favourites by this author! I was swept up in it straight away and I was really disappointed when it finished! I love the family feel of these MC stories – they are so important to each other and the bond they have is great! They really do protect each other and when you become a lady of an MC Brother you know you are theirs for life! Sam and Drummer may have had their troubles being together but, in my opinion, they were the perfect match!! The narration of the audio book was perfect and they really did bring the authors words to life.

Having read books by this author previously I thought I would give an audio book a try and overall, I really enjoyed the story. It was a long listen I will admit but it actually went really quickly because I was so absorbed in the story. The narration was really good and pleasant to listen to. The story is quite complex but being able to listen to it actually really helped me imagine what was going on. I really liked the characters and the storyline was magical and creative.

Overall, a fantastic audio book and one that I would highly recommend! I look forward to the next one!

I am in love with this series and these characters.

Drummer, the MC’s president, has a good life.  He has the club, access to all the sweet butts he wants, his bike and his responsibilities as prez.  He has watched other club members get attached to an old lady, but he doesn’t understand the desire to be with only one person forever.  That is until he meets Sam.

Samantha, Sam, has just lost everything that matters to her except her vintage motorcycle.  Sam is dealing with the grief of losing her mother.  On her deathbed, Sam’s mom finally told Sam who her father is.  Sam has set out to find him.  He just happens to be in the MC.

When Sam arrives at the MC looking for her father, the first thing anyone notices is the bike.  It is vintage.  It is classic.  It breaks easily.  And, with her luck, it breaks in a non-easily fixable way.  So Sam is stuck at the MC waiting for a part to get back on the road after the meeting with her father didn’t go the way she had hoped.  It is important for her to get back on the road as her attraction to Drummer is growing.

When Drummer finds out that Sam is being stalked by a ruthless human trafficking ring, he agrees to protect Sam and help bring down the ring.  Sam agrees to help but there are so many ways this could go wrong.

The action is fantastic.  The steam is hot!  The family is deep and the ties that bind this MC together are stronger than ever.  I don’t know whose story is next but I will be there!

How do you make a good book even better? Well you get the audio addition. I always like being able to listen to a good book. I like the fantasy setting for this and the complexity. I like how the narrator voices the characters and how much it adds to the richness of the story. I love the conflict in the book and how it builds for the main character.

Ian definitely is a character I can get into and also route for. I like how the author builds up the story and how the past is entwined. I look forward to the next book in this series and hope it also gets an audio addition.

I absolutely loved listening to this book as much as I loved reading it. I’m a huge fan of this author and ive read everyone of her MC books and the various different chapters but this is my favorite. The narrator did an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life. I’m not usually an audio person but I’m beginning to be a big fan. I simply can’t recommend or even suggest reading/listening to this book/series. I promise you won’t be disappointed but hooked on the series and this author. This is Drummer’s and Sam’s story. Get ready to be taken on quite the ride. There’s some steamy scenes as well. The chemistry between these to is off the charts. What will happen when the one girl he wants he can’t have because of who she is? Will he break the rules to get the happiness he wants and deserves? I highly recommend listening to this book to find out what happens next. I always look forward to seeing what this author will bring us next.

Troy is a Shinree, his race is what sets him apart from other races. He also comes with an addiction for magic. Only problem is his magic can kill everything and everybody in his path. Being of the Shinree race he must serve his master,  even if that means going into battle. Having blood on his hand and the death of many. He decides to escape, but as far as he runs, everything catches up with him. I enjoyed this story, at times I felt as though I was in a race. This author has an eye for detail. The characters fit their description given by the author. Having read many book in this genre, I found this one just as entertaining and complete. This story makes for a great road trip. I recommend reading or listening to this story as it will not disappoint.

WOW! Just wow.  This was an amazing book.  I will state that some sexual triggers in this book. This book is based on our main female character who is strong and stubborn and brave as can be.  She stays strong even in the face of brutal fear.  She is at the MC to meet her dad after her mother dies.  She wants to know him.  The surprise of being told he had a child years ago is a shock.  The story takes several twists and turns and your emotions will be all over the place.  This author has captured my love for MC stories and the worlds she has built even between chapters.  I can’t wait to read the next one.

This is my favorite book of the entire Satan’s Devils series, all chapters, all cities, this is the one. Drummer is and always will be my number 1! I read this book a ways back and it still stays with me today. Listening to this audio put it in a whole new perspective for me.. I’m not normally an audio person, I do a lot of text to speech, and listening to others with their voices hardly ever add up for me, but this book was spot on.

This one was full of everything I love about Manda’s books but had that little touch of something extra. I can feel how strong this MC is growing. The strength, the brotherhood, the loyalty, and the family. It’s all because of Drum’s leadership and it blows me away.

Drummer and Sam’s book again, will always be a favorite! Dear Lord, if you have not opened the world of the Satan’s Devils, you must do so, I literally can’t imagine not having these stories in my life.

LOVED IT!! And now I actually want to go read it again!

I am a huge fan of this series. Listening to the book has added such a level of excitement tha tyou just can’t get with reading. The team narrating does a wonderful job. They add the right touch of attitude to the characters. The author dies a fantastic job with the plot. She ties up the plots so they intertwine smoothly.. The plot twists are surprising and a surprise that you don’t see coming. The characters are just that, very much personalities unto themselves. They all somehow get along fairly wall to make a cohesive “family.” She is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to check out more of her books on audio. These are really nice for a road trip (as long as the kids aren’t in the car.) I would recommend for the over 18 age group. It is a little steamy.

<span;>This author is one that I have come to really enjoy since discovering some other series and I was so excited to start listening to this story. I was pulled I this story so effortlessly. I found it really easy to get lost in the narration and imagine everything been described. This is the perfect kind of book to make into an audio book as it is so imaginative and detailed.
<span;>I really loved the story too. I thought it was a brilliant example of fantasy done well and it has me excited for book two. I would definitely recommend this story.

Drummer’s Beat (Satan’s Devils MC #2) AUDIO BOOK by Manda Mellett – Review by Amanda Glaspie

Another great installment following the Satan’s Devil’s. This book follows Drummer and Sam as they navigate their feelings for one another. It all starts when Drummer comes across Sam who is stranded at the side of the road on her way to meet her father for the first time. Little do they know, it is the beginning of a nightmare for all involved. The amount of emotions that are felt in this book is what keeps you on your toes. Anger, hope, love, fear, and finally happiness will have you cheating from everyone involved. This installment of the Satan’s Devil’s shows that even those with the highest walls built up, can still bring them down if the right person comes along.

Drummer’s Beat (Satan’s Devils MC #2) AUDIO BOOK by Manda Mellett – Reviewed by Dr. Anya Schultz

Drummer’s Beat is a story about a girl named Sam, who is out looking for her relative. This relative is apparently part of a biker organization, but she knows how hard it is to get into these “clubs”. Luckily, for her, not only is she a mechanic and rides a motorcycle, but breaks down near the compound and is “rescued” by the leader of the biker club. As the story continues, she has to prove that she is only there to learn about this relative and not to cause any trouble. What everyone is unaware of is that trouble is going to find her. She eventually gains some trust and “something else” from the club president (who is unfamiliar with the feelings he is possessing). But in the end, he will do what he needs to to protect her. This was my first biker related story I have read – and while I thought the story itself was fine, it will probably be my last biker story. I am one who likes a kink style book and some raunchiness at times, but I was a little put off by the culture portrayed, especially towards women.

This book was unlike any other MC book I’ve ever read (listened to)
First of the FMC is amazing!!! She is strong willed, independent and just plain badass but she also has her vulnerable side. Then there’s Drummer!! Yummmm if you look up alpha male in ther dictionary you’ll find a picture of him. Until…. a broken down bike brings HER into his life.
The book has tension, action and A LOT of steamy scenes. An Absolute Must Read

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Stephanie Colley

The story was phenomenal. It grabbed me in the prologue and didn’t let me go till the end.
It was a great take on magic. It can’t be used without a price, something living has to die. I haven’t heard of that take before that I remember. That part alone had my interest.

The story line was great also. Ian Troy is a Shinree soldier. He has the magic for battle, yet is kills everything and everyone around when doing it.
This type of power is hard to control.

Troy is running from his past. But now he has to go back to battle for his nation. But after vowing to never use his magic again, after a terrible loss, will he be able to help??

The narrator was on point with changing his voice and tone for each character. It made the story worth listening! I would love to listen to more books read by him.

This is not my first audible by this author but it is one of my favorites.  I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the narrator’s different tones of voices for the characters.  I also enjoyed how engaging they made the story.  It is a fast paced story that took me on an adventure that I had to know more about.  This is a story about magic, fantasy, and mystery. This story has action, excitement and meaningful.   Ian Troy is addicted to magic, born to be a slave and his magic is used only as it serves the purpose of other people.   What will happen when he meets a beautiful assassin?  When he comes face to face with his own power, what will he do?  I really enjoyed this audible.  I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series.  I highly recommend this audible.

Hearing the tale narrated just pulls you into the story so much more. All the characters within this whole series are easy to relate to but having them described and voiced out loud completely brought them to life. I was utterly drawn in to this book like it was my first experience with the story and I found any excuse I could to listen. This author was already one of my favourites.but listening to this book just cemented that evrtn further. I would highly recommend her, this book and anything else she has ever written!

This is not my first audible by this author but it is one of my favorites yet.  This is part of the Satan’s Devils MC series which just keeps getting better and better.   I enjoyed the narrator’s voice and how she made the story engaging with each word said.  They brought the story to life with different tones and were enjoyable to listen to.   This is a story about Drummer and Sam. He can have any girl he wants. He meets Sam and now he has a problem, he can’t have her because of who she is.   They are both instantly attracted to each other but their relationship is a no, no.  Will they go against rules and find their happy ever after?  This was such a great story to listen to on my way to work.  I highly recommend this audible and find out what happens between these two.

Welcome to the world of Satan’s Devils. I LOVE this Author and her MC stories. I have come to enjoy this series. This was an Audio Book so the Narrator needs to be mentioned. His voice is perfect and at times I heard John Wayne reading the story. We all know the voices make the story come to life. I recommend you follow this series and start with book one. You won’t be let down. As this author will keep you reading this exciting romance with a twist. Drummer is the Pres of the Satan’s Devils. Sweet butt was as close to a relationship as he wanted. No commitments and no Ole Lady. Sam has just lost her mother, but just before she passed away, she told Samantha the name of her father. Sam is one tough lady, and she proves so as she looks for her father. Coming to Satan’s Devils could be asking for trouble. But her strength and motorcycle knowledge may help her. Let’s not forget who her father is. He plays an important character as well. No Spoilers found in this review. I’m looking forward to book 3.

4 Stars!!!!

I am once again not let down. I have read many books from this author and this is yet another one that has gotten me hooked. I was so glad to get it in audio form as I have had quite a busy week and it fit right in with my busy schedule. The author really made a great choice in narrators as they really brang the book to life.

I like how all the series can blend into one another and the characters are all realistic. I also like how the author has mixed just enough drama into the romance that it makes you not want to put the book down or stop listening to it. I find that having the narrators reading it really bring a new level to the books. I cannot wait for more books from this author as well as audio ones.

Drummer
As President of the Satan’s Devils MC I can have every and any woman I choose, and do. That’s how I got my name. But I’m happy with the variety, I know I’d never find a woman my equal to be my old lady.
Then I meet her, on the road to my compound, standing beside a goddamn Vincent Black Shadow, one of the most iconic bikes of all time. When she tells me she’s Viper’s daughter, I know she has to be lying. There’s no way he’s fathered a child, not one of her age, it’s just not possible. I can’t deny an attraction to her, but if she’s who she says, she’s the one woman I’m unable to have. I can’t go against a brother.
Sam
Trouble, I’ve found, comes in many forms. Trouble in the shape of the surly president of this MC who just wants me gone. Trouble in that my father denies our relationship, and the trouble that’s followed me the fifteen hundred miles I’ve ridden to come to find my surviving parent. And when my past catches up with me, I need the protection of the MC to keep me safe.
I’ve never been a girly girl and not particularly interested in finding a man. But Drummer’s something else, and denying my attraction to him might be my biggest battle of all.

Nite Fire: Smoke & Mirrors (Book 3) AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Bridget McCullough

This audiobook is a little on the long side (15 hours!) but don’t let that scare you away from the incredible world that C.L. Schneider has created. The action is well written and easily visualized and the interpersonal relationships are wonderfully realistic and thoughtfully cultivated. I look forward to seeing where the characters end up in the next book and how it affects the professional, platonic, and romantic relationships of everyone involved.
