The God was a really good read. It was enthralling and kept me interested throughout the whole book. I have one complaint though. The sex scenes. I don’t understand how someone has transcend realms and have dream sex like that. That was very weird to me. But besides that strange occurrence throughout I really enjoyed this novel! And I think my favorite character so far in this book was Gorgonita. She was so awesome and I thought hilarious as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel and can’t wait to read the next!

Forbidden Mate is the second book in The Shadow Chronicles series by C.R. Robertson and impresses just as much if not more than the first! Robertson continues to develop the characters personalities as they continue the fight against the mysterious creature targeting both Lycans and Vampires. They also are in the ultimate fight to save their relationship, which causes bad blood between the Lycans and the Vampires. The thing I both hated and loved the most was seeing the storyline between Tasha and Levi wrap up, because I had grown very fond of the two characters. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, there are a lot of unanswered questions I am curious to see answers to!

Dangerous Curves Boxed Set 1: 3 Cozy Christian Mysteries by K.L. Montgomery is such a fun way to spend an afternoon curled up with a great read. This boxed set contains the first three books in the Dangerous Curves series, so it is a great way to plunge into the series and really get a feel for the characters and Ms. Montgomery’s wonderful writing and storytelling. Not to mention the fact that it’s great value for money- three books in one! I fell in love with our quirky librarian, Sunshine Baker, right from the get go- she is such a great character. She and the rest of the Bryce Beach gang really make these stories all the more interesting and fun. This is one series that I will happily one-click no questions asked- as I know that what ever Ms. Montgomery produces, I am going to love. This Boxset contains:

Sylvia Black captivated me with this second book in her Masters of the Consolate Series! Christian is defiantely hot vampire on campus and his devotion to Delilah despite all the hurdles they face is just wonderful! I cannot wait to read more from Sylvia and see who they bring in next!

Unbreakable (The Diamonds Book 1) by Tee Smith was my first read by Tee Smith and I can honestly say that I was not disappointed. The cover alone was enough to snag my attention, combine that with the synopsis of the book and I just knew I had to read it. This book is a contemporary romance but it’s filled with so many twists that you could never put it down. This contemporary romance has angst, drama, mystery and so much more. The characters are incredibly well developed and the plot is woven perfectly, I for one can’t wait for book two.

Oh my word – this book!! I love a good cozy mystery and this beautiful work fell into my lap at the best time. I loved how it started. I was immediately pulled in and immediately connected with our main character. She is sassy and spunky and makes cat costumes – how awesome is that?! Just loved this book and cannot wait to read more from this author.

I would strongly recommend this book and author to anyone that enjoys a good steamy, dramatic, and emotional romance. I’m not even an emotional person, but parts of this book had me so drawn into the characters and what they were feeling and experiencing, that even I was tearing up. The character development in this book is so very well done. I’m a nurse and could totally totally relate to Charlie’s rough shifts in the ER and how she needed to vent afterwards at times. It was so satisfying to see Tank grow and mature throughout the book. It’s great to see a strong woman bring the best out in a man. Must read!

I want more! I just finished reading The God by Hazel Storm and I can’t tell you how much I love this world she created! I can’t wait till book 3 comes out and I’ll be really disappointed when these stories end, though they will get added to my read again rotation. The God picks up right where The Don leaves off. It’s also a bigger exploration of Vanessa and Grey’s dynamic together. I don’t want to spoil book 1 for anyone looking for a new series to read. You need to read both and in order! Throughout this book, I begin to fall more in love with Grey and why he is the way he is. Again there’s a lot of characters but it all works, every character fits. Hazel Storm may very well be my new romance author. Any questions left unanswered from book 1 will be answered throughout this book, and more will come to fruition. I think the best part is these books so far take place within the same month that has yet to end.

I absolutely loved The Don by Hazel Storm! I didn’t want to stop reading once I started and I’m dying for more! I loved most of the characters, especially Grey! It’s an interesting mix of the Greek gods and goddesses and mortal beings, that I was skeptical about going into but it all works! Grey the Don of the underworld, has to enter the overworld(which would be the plain we exist on) to renegotiate a soul contract with a mortal named Dorian. While listening to what Dorian proposes he spots and notices the neighbor across the street Vanessa. He’s drawn to her more than he wants to be. For a god who has abstained for over 2 centuries his draw to her, he feels could break his vow of abstinence. Will Grey play with fire? Will he stay away from Vanessa? Does Grey take Dorian up on his proposal? I encourage you to pick this book up and find out. There’s also Vanessa, a hairdresser by trade, who would do anything to save her brother Piper from his terminal cancer diagnosis. She runs into some deep issues at work, when the new office manager insists the facial and hair care products she’s using are leading to the deaths of her clients. Vanessa is very aware and captivated by Grey. She also meets and starts dating Grey’s half brother Rafe. When she starts dreaming about both of them together she starts to wonder what it would be like. Will Vanessa get stuck in a love triangle? Does she save Piper? Is she really the cause of her clients’ deaths? Please please please, I beg you to get involved in this story! There’s lots of interesting and witty characters, but the author makes it easy to follow them all! You will not be disappointed!

Repair was a phenomenal romance read from start to finish! I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop. I just had to figure out how everything was going to play out, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I loved everything about this storyline, it was the perfect amount of drama, mystery, steamy moments, humour and was perfectly relatable!
Not only did I love the main characters but I absolutely loved all of the secondary characters and I really hope I’ll be able to read about them in the future! This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last, I look forward to reading more from her asap, and I would recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

Detective Dee Quarter has gotten herself into quite the love triangle (or quadrilateral?). Boyfriend of 1 year, Winston, is what she says she wants and needs in a man. But then how to explain her reaction to ex-boyfriend Grayson’s advances, and how her body reacts to cult leader Jonathan? As she gets closer to solving her murder case, she gets more and more embroiled in temptation and trouble.
The plot is well-drawn, and the developments in both the case and Dee’s love life make for interesting reading. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why Dee was drawn to the creepy cult leader, but to each their own. I think the issue I had is that I wanted there to be more character development. I didn’t feel like these characters were truly lifelike and believable… something was missing for me. However, fans of romance will appreciate the steamy love scenes, and suspense/crime lovers may enjoy this mystery.
Erin Murphy is a nurse at a local clinic. She returned to Rosewood Bay after her marriage failed when her mother was sick with cancer to help her father. After her mother passed, she decided to stick around as there was nothing to return to her previous hometown for.
Curtis “Ripper” Bandara has a past life that he would never forget and no ties to his siblings. He currently works stripping cars, reupholstering, and repainting them for sale. He is also a henchman for the Diamonds, a group of four men, who made and run Rosewood Bay. With the influx of a group of bangers that are younger, the men have a challenge before them so that war doesn’t break out in the Bay.
Being out with a friend and being slashed by a knife is the reason Ripper ends up in Erin’s clinic. The two have an electric spark, but Ripper knows that his life is not the life for Erin. When a friend ends up in trouble he calls Erin for help. She assists in making sure his friend doesn’t die. Shortly after, Erin ends up in trouble and Ripper takes her home.
Can the two work out the mystery of who is trying to hurt her? Is it because of Ripper or someone else in her life? Will the sparks they felt the first time they met ever lead to anything more?

Jake the Growling Dog is back in the third installment of his series. When he smells something unfamiliar on his trail in the backyard, Jake is scared. But when he finds out where the smell is coming from and who it belongs to, he makes a new friend!
These stories are such great ones for children. The rhyming is a great way to keep the kids interested in the story, and the illustrations are beautiful. The author also includes additional resources and activities at the end of the book, which is fantastic for parents, teachers, etc. Jake’s stories always have a wonderful message to them, and can help children face their fears and overcome them.

I absolutely loved Hazard in Hawaii by Heather Silvio. This book is such a fun read. When Sarah Danger and her boss, Jeff, are called to Hawaii to investigate what seems to be the beginnings of an outbreak, Sarah is excited to go but skeptical of the case. Once they are on the island, the team gets so much more than they bargained for.
Sarah Danger is such a likeable character, and relatable. Her humor comes through in small ways throughout the story, which I really liked. The story itself is fun, a mystery solving adventure unlike any I have read before! I can’t wait to read the next installment in the Doctor Danger series. I could easily see this series becoming some of my favorites of all time!

The Marcy Series Box Set: Books 1-3 by Linda J Burson is a collection of great books with some brilliant characters. This is a series that really does need to be read in orders as it is a continuation of their stories throughout. With each of these books I found it so easy to connect with the characters – and to reconnect with them quickly each time I started a new book. Each of these books is well written and exciting to read. Even though it follows the same characters I thought each book had a different feel to it, distinguishing it from the last book while still having a familiar sense to it. The books are all faced paced. So much seems to happen in each book and the author really knows when to throw in a twist to keep you on your toes. As soon as I had finished one of these books I had to start the next and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one

Written in the Stars: a heart warming and gripping story about adoption and finding birth parents by Angela Christina Archer is the second book in the Mothers and Daughters Collection. This is such an emotional story you cannot help but be swept away by what the author is portraying. In every single page you could feel the raw emotion and the incredible journey the main character goes through. At times I found this book to be utterly heart breaking only for it to then completely shift and be uplifting and delightful. This author does an amazing job of painting the picture of what it was like in the time this book is set. Even though it is hard to believe now that these situations occurred the author made it truly relatable and easy to imagine. Although this is only the second book in this series I have to say this is definitely my favourite one so far. It is hard to see how the author can top this but I am looking forward to finding out what is next.

Stripped (The Stripped Series Book 1) By Stacy-Deanne
This was a good read. There were definitely some interesting characters in this book. There are twists and turns, suspense, romance and more. As I was reading this story I realized that some of these characters were in another book and although I was able to follow this story very easily I wish I would have read the other book these characters were in so I had a better back story. I also wish I knew what happened between Dee and Grayson.This author kept me intrigued and entertained throughout the book. I look forward to reading more books in this series. I’m not sure how I feel about Jonathan and the woman that lives with him so I’m hoping to get to know more in the next book. I’m glad I decided to take a chance on this book.

Madeline’s curious attitude has her frantically trying to make sense of the disappearance of Dylan and his girlfriend while trying to bring her client’s wife home safely.

Lucy Walker is back and her life is still settling down between her near death experiences and finding out she is half-witch and half-demon and dating a Gargoyle, how much more interesting does it need to be? However, one morning when she is rudely awoken in the early hours of the morning by her best friend texting her and telling her that she is the luckiest girl alive, she is in no mood for games in her sleep deprived state, but she is hoping that she didn’t see her and Marcus on the rooftop the night before, or how he returned her fast asleep to her bedroom later on. However, what she sees after reading it is even more disturbing, her father, Jude is standing in her room and demanding to meet her great-uncles and basically stonewalling her attempts to discourage it, but it is only when and her uncles ask about the car parked outside the house that her brain eventually catches up with what is going on, Jude has planned this all along and so she has no choice but to invite him in and when Marcus turns up at the same time, she has no choice but to have everyone there.
As breakfast is served and conversation haltingly proceeds, Marcus struggles to control his inner gargoyle and Jude tries to hypnotise her uncles, Lucy is torn between the two and tries to get the event over and done with as quickly as possible so they can continue with their days as normal, but when Marcus explains his real reason for coming, Lucy is disgusted and terrified at the prospect of what it means. Will they be able to keep both Jude and Lucy alive in between everything else, how will they do it and who can they call upon to help? As it becomes clear that danger is lurking around the corner, Lucy isn’t sure whether she can trust Marcus’s family knowing what she does and what would she do if he decides to go with them to visit the clan? This fantasy adventure is a rollercoaster of emotions and filled with action which will keep you hanging on until the end to find out what happens.

Wow this book….the story is raw, heart wrenching and at times I had to stop and catch my breath. This story is about Gianna who falls in love with a man named Ethan. What Gianna did not know was how Ethan was abusive and cruel. From the outside you would think they are the perfect couple but behind closed doors was a totally different story. Gianna finally flees from her abusive husband and ends up in NYC. She couldn’t believe she bumps into a many named Derek, a man she met on her wedding night as he was at the hotel as well staying for the night. Gianna learns from Derek how to possibly love again but with true caution. Gianna also learns how she can fight back. Ethan finds her again and is bitter. Will Gianna finally be free of Ethan after years of abuse? This story has definite triggers of abuse but also a trigger of stalking. Overall just another fantastic story from Author Dakota Willink. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was like a breath of fresh air when it comes to mysteries. Sarah Danger, a clairempath, works as a PI in-training for her friend’s, Jeff, agency. They take a case in Hawaii that involves a mystery virus that is spontaneously heating people up from the inside. They will be investigating what caused it; whether natural or supernatural. Once on the big island, Jeff has a minor heart attack which puts him on bed rest. This leaves Sarah to step up to lead investigator. She isn’t too sure but she does what needs to be done. With the help of the rest of the team, Sarah interviews the people involved and hikes the volcano park where the scene seemed to start. Needless to say, Volcano activity; Pele; cheating; revenge; and rituals are all part of the puzzle. A lot of puzzle solving with this one. Good book that leaves you thinking. Intriguing facts about Hawaii and Hilo. Highly recommend.

This was a fun romantic comedy which takes you in from the first page. The story is fast paced and keeps you guessing. The author does an amazing job with her characters making them relatable and likeable. You could actually imagine yourself in those situations or you know a friend who’s like that.
Ivory is a successful business women with her own matchmaking business. She has loads of successful matches however the only person she can’t match is herself. Now a TV company want to interview her about her success and her significant other. Now Ivory is stuck. If she admits there is no other half she risks her business but what is she to do.
Then in comes her Knight in shining armour in the shape of her intern Li. Ten years younger than her and absolutely stunning he would be the perfect candidate to be her pretend boyfriend. But when lines get blurred they discover its hard to work out what’s pretend and what’s real.

This book was a breath of fresh air. It was just the right amount of comedy, romance, and drama. It draws you in from the first chapter. It’s written so well with just the right amount of descriptions. The main character was so relatable and it wasn’t just fluff. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

While this is an enjoyable read I did struggle with it at times. It seems like I was thrown into the middle and I am missing information about things that happened. Delilah‘s whole story kind of threw me for a loop. She was captured, released and then she keeps running away from Christian. Why?? I am not sure why she would do that repeatedly. Maybe if we knew about her human side before she was turned that would give us some answers or her previous relationship with Christian. Also I don’t understand why she all of a sudden felt she needed to avenge herself, Christian and the other vampires. I would think being kidnapped and everything else that was done to her would make you more timid and wary and it would take a little bit before you would runoff on your own and face shifters, vampires and the Syndicate. Chriatian is so understandable to all her antics while trying to avenge her for himself.
There are a lot of characters in here, new and old. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the previous book..how they are doing and what powers they have come into. Loved that!
Vampire books are one of my favorites and I thought this would be an outstanding series. Sadly I can’t rate it quite that high. I feel like there needs to be more depth to the characters we just met, in the last few pages, or the next master (I don’t even have a connection to him to be excited to read his story). Sorry

This was a start in a new series for me, and I certainly got sucked in quickly with the novel and the characters. The book was so good I can not express. The story pulls you in, and holds you close, and you learn more about the characters and who they are, and you really feel for them. It was amazingly good!
Erin is the main female love interest in this book. She is a nurse and very caring as well as dutiful to her duties. She had secrets of her own, ones that only her heart knew best from all aspects. She goes day by day doing what she does best which is healing others, but what if a chance came for someone to heal her wombs’? Would she take a leap of faith or let the scars consume her?
Throw in a sexy bad boy named Ripper. He has had led quite the different life than Erin has. He has the I am better off on my own attitude, but yet he seems to feel incomplete. All changes for what he knows when these two souls interact. Ripper gets hurt, and he needs some tender loving care, and he just so happens to get this beautiful, kind hearted, and free spirited nurse named Erin.
Ripper feels something not possible. She was not what he normally would go after. Having an attraction for something real more than just a good time to feel good, is normally what he likes on his dinner plate. Erin feels something too, something she can not deny, but how? Why? Would they trust their feelings?
Ripper had nothing to give or so he felt. Yet he wanted her more than anything he ever thought he wanted or would want. He had past, that the law doesn’t speak very lightly on. He knows if Erin found out this would be the end of things he’s got going, and he knows tis a good thing….but is love really worth all this risk in the end? Things take a turn when their lives get aught in that fly swatter even more, when Erin funds out but not the way he wanted. With everything brought to light, the impossible had to be asked, is what they feel have, is it worth the pain and secrets of the past that made them who they were?
I really loved these two characters, especially when their secrets and pain were brought to the surface and they really opened up to one anther, and really allowed themselves to feel things they always wanted, but never felt inside their hearts, they truly deserved. They had found their safe haven truly, but with anything as beautiful as this love, they both knew they would have to work hard to keep it, other wise it would be gone and they would have the biggest regret ever of their lives upon them.
The author brought forth two beautiful characters, despite their scars they were beautiful in their own way. I really fell in love with them both and wanted them to get their happy ending. I will defiantly be reading the next one in this series. I can not wait to see what happens in the next book in the series!

Charlie had the picture-perfect life until a secret mistress showed up. Now she is back home, where she did not really want to go, but needed to start new. Her old one-night stand, Tank, lives there. She figures she could get along with him seeing how he is her brothers best friend. Not a chance.

Unbreakable is the first book in the Diamonds Series by Tee Smith. I had not previously read any of this author’s work but I was intrigued by the blurb and decided to give it a try. I’m very glad that I chose to read Unbreakable as I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading the rest of the series. As we as being the story of Ripper and Erin, we are introduced to the Diamonds and they type of operations that they run. Let’s just say it involves a lot of danger, drama and intrigue. Erin had returned home after a failed marriage to look after her sick mother. Her mother has now passed on and Erin is trying to get on with her life and look after her father who has found solace in the whisky bottle. Erin first meets Ripper when he attends the clinic she’s a nurse at to get a stab wound examined. He’s totally taken by the beautiful red headed nurse and over time tries to get close to her. I loved Erin and Ripper’s story. Not only do we have the romance story between them but there is so much going on with the Diamonds which bring a few surprises to the reader and causes Erin to re-evaluate her life. This is a really great read that had me gripped from the very beginning, right up to the very end. It’s full of danger and drama and will keep the reader entertained and not want to put the book down.

This is the second installment in The Girl and the Raven series and was just as good as the first one in my opinion. I loved how the author not only continued the stories but decided to dive into more complex stories as well with the introduction of new characters. Her ability to draw you into the story from the first page with her perfect characterizations and descriptions of the surrounding and what is occurring is phenomenal. That was one of the things I loved the most about the first book and she didn’t disappoint with this one. Once I start I can’t put it down until I reach the end which is what happened last night as well. I look forward to picking up where this left off with book three. If you are a fan of Twilight, adult, or teen, you will love this series. Pick it up!
