This is a really dark BDSM romance. There are trigger warnings with this book that the author makes the reader aware of right at the beginning so it may be a trigger for some people. The authors writing is really good. The way the author talks about mental health, ways people deal with it and the thoughts and feelings people suffer through was really eye opening but was dealt with in a way that was respectful and informative.
This story is a romance around the BDSM lifestyle but it is so much more than that. The characters of Reuben and Alice are both damaged in their own way and their back stories are really heartbreaking. But it makes their connection even more powerful and beautiful. It was also different to read a romance from the perspective of people in the BDSM lifestyle and to realise that even though for some people it is just a kink for others it’s way to manage stress and anxiety in their lives.
This story is very emotional, your heart will break hearing Alice’s story and you will laugh at how sassy she is and how much she tests Reuben’s boundaries. Can a Brat be trained? Or will Reuben find a way to make Alice submit to him willingly?

Watcher is the first book in the Star-Crossed Celestials Duet by A.L Morrow. Jace is a watcher who always seems to make the wrong choice in men, falling hard and fast. Cyrus is a messenger, newly assigned to the city. When the two meet it is instant attraction. The issue is they should be on opposite sides of a war that has been going on for years between the Watchers, Demons, and Messengers. The Messengers believing the other two should not exist. While Jace and Cyrus do not care they should be against each other, they face many obstacles on their road to happiness. Will they be able to overcome the challenges that come with being on opposite sides? Will each be able to keep their loyalties as well as each other? Will their feelings be strong enough to fight for what they want?
I really enjoyed reading this story. It was well written and the characters had depth. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This illustrated poetry collection is not just bright and colourful, it is a journey through the author’s mind, and life. His thoughts make for interesting reading as he tells stories with his poetry. Sprinkled with humour, dreams, hopes, energy, emotion, insights, opinion, memories, struggles, love, and just a touch of madness- Mr. Becker puts it all out there, challenging the reader, whilst stimulating their minds. There are parts that are quite dark, but there are lighter moments too. I enjoyed the unique creativity and lyrical quality to his work. Well worth the read!

You don’t have to have read the Jake Wolfe series in order to appreciate this book- but having said that, if you did happen to read the series first, then it would definitely give you an even greater appreciation of this story. FBI Special Agent Brenda Reynolds is called in to investigate after the only survivor of a murder spree is left in a somewhat catatonic state, due to the trauma of the attack. She hasn’t spoken since the police arrived on the scene, and at present is the leading suspect in their investigation. Angie has been locked up in a psychiatric institution since her breakdown, and all efforts to communicate with her have failed. What can Brenda bring to the table to help get Angie talking again? It is crucial to the investigation to find out what happened on that dark and lonely road the night of the attack, so Brenda is willing to do whatever it takes to find out what happened, and hunt down the killer before more girls become victims. If that means bringing Jake and Cody on board, then she’s willing to work with them, even though they have a bit of a difficult past. With murder, kidnapped girls, obsession, danger, a game of cat and mouse, and plenty of twists- definitely made this an exciting read. I can’t wait to see what Mr. Nolan does next! Happy Reading!

This was a great 5 star read. I am loving these Titans 100%. We get a glimpse of the past when Alessia was a surrogate for a high profile couple, she used the money for her schooling. Alessia is just getting done with her residency and is at a conference in the Bahamas. While walking on the beach at night she meets Kristopher. There is an instant attraction and when she finds out who he is, they agree to a weekend fling with no attachments. When they both return to the city, let’s just say things get even more interesting. They decide that they can’t fight the attraction between them. And of course Kristophers divorce has its difficulty.
Overall this was a great edge of your seat read. Things were definitely not easy for these two. My emotions were all over the place. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I really liked these two, they were made for each other. The author does a great job with her writing. I can’t wait to read more from her. 1-click and get started today.

This book was really good. I love paranormal romance, especially with demons and angels, and this novel had all of that and more. The author created characters who got me vested in their journey to finding love and romance. The story was interesting and I could not put it down. The story ended with a cliffhanger and I really cannot wait for the next book to come out to see how the story unfolds.
First of all, this is not for young readers! The author is very specific in letting readers know that this book is for adults. Also, there are many trigger topics throughout this book. Reuben has been dreaming about a girl for years, when Alice finally shows up she is nothing like he expected. Alice has a history of experiences that have cause her some mental illness issues that make her to spiral into depression. Not only that Alice has a tendency to do whatever it takes to push people away. At first Reuben doesn’t understand how this woman that he’s been dreaming about could be such a big brat, not his usual preference at all. Slowly but surely, Alice gets under his skin. Reuben also finds some information unexpectedly that makes him realize he might be the only one that can truly help Alice. The author clearly shows what issues these characters have. The characters are written in a way that we can understand how and why they are the way they are. The book may be uncomfortable for many to read.

Good cover, good read. It was full of mystery and adventure, and this book was a good page-turner with an excellent plotline and flow. It has that “just one more chapter” feeling. This debut novel gives its reader a wait of anticipation for the next installment. The author has a fantastic world-building ability and easily loveable characters. Suspense and supernatural powers help drive this first installment that leaves readers falling in love with its pages and eagerly awaiting more.
Overall, a good read, and will be waiting for the next.

Eliza is on her way from American, to a Darcy/ Bennet family reunion in England, where she will meet her extended family for the first time! Lucky she packed her Agatha Christie skills! She will need them to solve the estrangement between her Father and Uncle and also work out why dead bodies keep popping up. Eliza certainly starts off positive, with a very attractive Englishman sitting beside her on the flight!
I loved this! From the head scratching mysteries to the cheeky young romance, I was hooked! I felt like I was right there at Pemberley with Eliza and her team of sleuths and found myself really caring about the characters. The English/American terms comparison and the “Pride & Prejudice” entries added such a fun element.
If you love a cosy mystery lead by a gutsy lady then this is for you!
I will most certainly be keeping my eye out for the next “Eliza Darcy” instalment!

Jace is a Watcher, a type of angel who lives on Earth observing the humans who live around him, but they are not the only ones he watches, demons and Messengers fall under his umbrella as well. Cyrus is a Messenger who has recently arrived to take up a position on Earth, but instead of the war he is seeing, he wants peace instead. Unfortunately, the Messengers are also angels, however, they are not as friendly as the Watchers, they view their ancestors as the ones who corrupted humans through their indiscretions and it is because of this, they are viewed as almost as badly as the demons. It is because of this ancestry that he has spent his entire life running from the Messengers, at least until he had to move to Las Vegas and move in with them, in a manner of speaking.
Jace has a weakness for handsome angels and so decided to take his best friend along to a gathering of Messengers so he can find a particular one, however, when he gets there, he is waylaid by a completely different Messenger. Cyrus is attending his welcome party, along with the others who arrived with him is not particularly enjoying being in the company of certain individuals so welcomes the distraction of a handsome, dark haired angel who catches his eye and a lot more than that.
As time passes, Jace and Cyrus end up finding time for some close encounters and intimate shenanigans, but because of the divide between their factions, they have to keep their growing bond a secret from even their nearest and dearest. 5 Stars Fairly Royal (The Fair Series Book 4) by Grace Grahme
Fairly Royal is the fourth book in The Fair series and I absolutely loved reading it. This is a Romance story packed with drama, and everything else that goes along with fake relationships with your best friends little sister. This is not my first read by this author but it’s definitely my favorite yet. Her style of writing and attention to detail along with fully developed and relatable characters make for an amazing story. This is one of those pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end kind of books. I had a terrible time putting it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. This is Philip and Anna’s story . He’s an Earl who takes his duty very seriously and tries to avoid relationships at all costs. He finds himself in yet another tabloid headline. He comes up with what he thinks is a great idea but is it really? Then there’s Anna who is his best friends sister and she may be loud and outspoken but she also has her own set of rules for this relationship. Without giving to much away. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author

Watcher: A MM Romeo and Juliet Retelling (Star-Crossed Celestials #1) by A.L. Morrow
This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Watcher is a fantastic retelling of Romeo and Juliet. I read Romeo and Juliet in school and it was okay, but this is better. It is M/M so if you don’t like that this isn’t for you. This is the first book in the Star-Crossed Celestials Series.
Cyrus is a Messenger and is sent to Vegas to keep peace between Watchers, Demons and his kind. Then he meets a Watcher and finds himself falling in love. He’s the Juliet in this story and it shows. Can they make it work? The quote I chose for Cyrus is: “And why do I have the feeling that’s a lie in itself?”
Jace is a Watcher and is trying to keep a low profile. His sister and her boyfriend who just happens to be Jace’s best friend. They go to Nova to find a man for Jace to sleep with although it’s not the man Jace was looking for. The quote I chose for Jace is: “I told you that you were perfect.”
Highly recommended for Paranormal M/M Romance lovers.
I don’t understand how these books keep getting better & better. Everything single time a new one comes out, sign me up! While there are slight similarities between the books for obvious reasons, each and every book is different. Different situations and life stories. I don’t know how she does it. Literally 🤯 = me. All I truly know is that in previous books we have seen glimpses of Nico & Mia, and we don’t really know who either of them are. Nico we’ve seen a bit more, but I like that they both flourish and develop naturally in this book. I truly hope this isn’t the end of the road! Maybe some sequels or spin offs of the current Chicago families would be nice. However honestly anything Amy McKinley writes will be amazing!

Bake Happy is a great and funny book filled with comedy and recipes. Cat is a fourteen year old girl who is sarcastic and loves to bake. Her family has this gift where they can bake something and make people feel certain emotions. One day, Cat loses the ability to bake her feelings and she gets upset. Eventually, she realizes that people don’t need to feel happy in order to make the world a better place. Helping others is more beneficial than getting them to feel certain emotions. As a fellow baker, I love that the author included recipes for the baked goods at the end of every chapter. Bake happy is great for someone who loves comedy movies and baking.
This book took me to a world I have no experience in, but now I am very intrigued about. From the descriptions of relationships between Doms and subs, traumatic pasts, hopes and desires, and some karma thrown in, this book had me hooked! I couldn’t help but to identify with Alice and her struggles, and I highly enjoyed getting under the cracks of Reuben’s armor to see who he truly was.

Rivals is the latest book in the Mafia Elite series, and it was ah-mazing, just like all the others. This is one of my favorite series and am sad that it is likely coming to an end. Mia is a character I kind of forgot about, as she is part of the New York mafia families. Most of the series focuses on the Chicago Five Families, and Nico is part of that group. Their story is slightly different from the others, in that the main characters didn’t know each other growing up. They meet for the first time when Mia pulls a gun or Nico and soon after, negotiates their marriage. The build of their relationship is a good story, and has a couple twists and turns along the way. I love the bomb dropped toward the end, changing the course of action. There is justice served and everyone gets what they deserve. Highly recommend this book and hope there is more to come.

Yet another trip in the the Satan’s MC world and I was not let down. I really enjoy this series and it was even better being able to listen as I went about my daily tasks. Audio books bring a whole new depth to the book and the different narrators add to that. I really enjoyed the point of view format and the mix of a male and female narrator.
There is just the right amount of drama and action mixed in with the romance to balance it out. I find that the author is able to draw the backstory around and bring the characters to life. I really also like how all the books compliment the one before and blend together. I really look forward to reading and listening to more of this series.

I like finding new authors. This book is the first book from this author that I have read and I was not disappointed. This book is steamy and kept me glued to the pages. I was not wanting to put it down as I wanted to see what would happen. The characters are well written and the subject matter is dealt with in a good manner. I really like to read a nice steamy book once in a while and this fit the bill.
I really could relate to the female lead. The author really builds quite the world and drew me straight in. I really felt as though I was right in the midst of the drama. I will definitely read more from this author in future.

This book had some really different twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I was not expecting the love between the two guys, it was a little unexpected, consisting of that it’s so normal to read about a man and women but not two men, and honestly it was so amazing to read. not only were the characters well written that I found it hard not to fall in love with these two that their story was just as good. Lots of things happened that really kept me hooked on this book. This author wrote an incredible book all around, that really was entertaining and enjoyable. This paranormal, action, love, LGBT, and revenge book is a total must read.

When she is approached with information concerning the death of the king not being at the hand of her father, everything changes. Can she trust the source of this information? Could it be true? Will the cost of the truth be her undoing?
I really enjoyed reading this story. It follows a girl that wants to be recognized as the best because she feels like she’s never been good enough. In her pursuit of being the best, she begins to make friends in places that she doesn’t expect. In the end, she realizes what is worth keeping and what is worth letting go. Her path isn’t easy, and she doesn’t always pick the right choice, but the ending is perfect!
