Hunter Snow is a debut author with a background in the music industry that she shares in the writing of this romantic comedy.
This book is set in Canada so some of the geographical settings were unknown to me, as I’m not super familiar with the layout of that country(note…expand horizons!). I tried to not let that affect the story as I went along. One thing I know about Canada though is hockey, and this book had some of that! I also enjoyed the music references throughout the story. If you’re a fan of 70’s-80’s styles of music, you’ll enjoy the trip down memory lane!

I haven’t been this excited about a new series in quite a long time! This is the first book in The Veil Realms series and the first I had read by this author. The cover is gorgeous and made me start reading before I even knew what it was about. Once I opened this book, I was transported to a hauntingly dystopian world where an earthquake devastates our main character’s hometown. Selene is, in a word, legendary. She is independent, tough, and overall, an admirable individual. The amount of time spent developing these characters is obvious as they certainly seem as real as the person sitting right next to me. The flow of the story is quick but still unfolds naturally without any choppiness to distract. I will be (impatiently) waiting for the second book in this series because I absolutely need more of this author’s writing!

Neferet and the gang are back, but this time it involves her uncle. He gets caught up in a get rich quick scheme that is too good to be true. Who doesn’t want to get rich quick? Soon investors on this scheme start turning up dead which doesn’t surprise Neferet in the least. What is such a secret that some is killing all these people? Will she and her team find the culprit before they need to plan Uncle Pipi’s funeral? Book three in Hani’s Daughter Mysteries was just as good as the rest. I have enjoyed these characters and I hope to read more.
I hadn’t heard of this author before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this book up. The cover was pretty cute and the short but sweet synopsis drew me in. I love a good rockstar romance, so I took a chance and dove in! The characters are easy to love and root for. I was invested in them from the very beginning. The sparks between Cary and Tyler are obvious and the chemistry keeps your nose stuck to the page. Will they give in to let love take over or has time taught them being vulnerable ultimately leads to heartache? This was an incredible first story to pick up from this author, and I devoured it in one day. I am excited to see more of their work and eager to recommend this book to anyone who loves the rockstar romance genre!

Neferet, Bener-ib and their apprentice Mut-tuy are inbroiled in yet another murder mystery. This time a body has washed up on the river bank on Lord Hani’s property. These three lovely ladies head for the village to try and identify this person. However, Neferet may become the next victim if she isn’t careful. The family of weavers at the heart of the situation isn’t ready or willing to give up their secrets so easily. Once again the author has written a story that will keep you turning the pages to see if these women are successful.
Neferet and Bener-ib have just opened a medical dispensary. Their very first patient was a florist by the name of Amen who unfortunately expired. He had some parting words that were shrouded in mystery. This kicked them into gear and becoming a sort of detective to find the killer. Who knew that trying to do the right thing could cause so much trouble? This was a very engaging book with lots of drama and mystery. The glossary of words and meanings was very helpful and came in useful from time to time. From what I have read about ancient Egypt this author put in some serious hours of research. Overall I give this a 4.5/5.

This book starts out with a sweet scene between Selene and her fiancé Rayden but quickly turns to all chaos. This book keeps your attention from the very beginning with so many twists and turns you might find yourself with whiplash but in a good way. The author makes you feel like you are right there with them. You will not be disappointed with this one of a kind book.

Typically I can pinpoint why I fall for a book as I did “Finding Hope”, but I can’t this time. From the first chapter to the last I was simply drawn to Hope and her story of getting her life back. The tropical setting and loveable divemaster, Alex, added to the fun. Both Hope and Alex are so much more than meets the eye as they harbor secrets of past deceit, hurt, and loss.

I read Alchemy of Glass as a second book to The Apothecary’s Curse, and like most series there is some overlap, but can overall be read as a standalone if that’s your thing. Also, this book picks up where the last one left off, so I preferred to read them as I did, so I already had a base understanding of the characters and their backstories, what happened previously, etc. Alchemy of glass is written in a dual point of view as well as the first which I’ve always liked. I enjoyed how well the author takes different genres and meshes them together seamlessly with well rounded characters. Give this highly entertaining book a chance.

This book quick, exciting read is a mash up of mystery, historical fiction, science fiction, and it does all of these things well. Told in dual timelines this is well written and I didn’t have any trouble following the story. I enjoyed the characters and their quest to handle their immortality. Definitely one of a kind, creative subject matter.

Oscar and Emmy Visit the Vet by Terri Sabol. This is such a cute series about kids and their animals. In this addition they explain how animals really need to be taken care of in the sense that you should take them to the Vet for check ups and vaccinations just like we go to the Dr and get check ups. In this story we meet a Vet who is very kind and gentle and explains everything he does to their family cat as he does it. Oscar and Emmy are the cats in this story and they listen as their owners are taught how to feed them and how to look for certain illnesses. Such a sweet, informative book with great pictures and graphs that explain it all. My 6 year old nephew has loved everyone of these books!

This book was so good. It was so very interesting being part of Gaelan’s journey in life and trying to understand what he had gone through during his many lifetimes made for a very enjoyable read. The story had many twists and turns with a really surprising ending that made the story even better. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Rock Crush and Roll was a cute romantic comedy. It is a romance story about a woman named Tyler Robertson who works as a music manager and Cary Kingston a long-time famous musician. Tyler grew up on Cary’s music and has had a crush on him for some time. However, she believes there is no way he would ever be into her, and she has sworn off musicians since her last relationship ended in disaster. No matter how she feels about not dating another musician, she just can’t resist Cary, but she quickly realizes that while she is in love with him, a relationship with a musician is difficult. She believes she deserves it all, but can Cary, being a musician give her that, the marriage, the family, the life? I enjoyed this book, the characters, and the relationship they develop. I enjoyed that the author made space for both characters to present their point of view, although Cary’s was shorter than Tyler’s. Cary is down-to-earth in nature but still lives like someone privileged. However, he goes out of his way to try to be a better person for her. He goes out of his way for people and seems to be more than just the forever bachelor everyone thinks he is. Tyler was a likeable character as well. She was funny and down-to-earth, but also a go-getter. She possessed insecurities because of her past, but many times she was able to handle them better than I expected her to. Overall, I thought they made a really cute couple and I like the progression of the characters and the relationship.

This is the first book in a new series I believe, or at least here’s to hoping we get more books because one is just not enough.
This book is about Gillian, who lives in a world that is trouble by a strange wasting illness that has taken hold of her younger brother. This story is about her journey to try and save him, but it’s a bit more complicated than that, to save him she must enter the shadowlands ruled by Dragon kind and trade her life for his. Gillian was not my favorite heroine right off the bat, but to say she grew on my is and understatement, her unwillingness to bend or break to give up in her pursuit to save her brother is what kept me rooting for her the entire book.
Roman, is Dragonborn and all he wants is to keep the peace and help his father accomplish his goals, that is until he meets Gillian and swiftly realizes that what his father wants and what he wants could be one in the same, but does Roman have it in him to take what he wants, even if it means evoking the wrath of his father? Roman is the epitome of daddy’s boy when this story start, just kidding, not really but he was very loyal to his fathers cause, which earns him brownie points in the sense of loyalty is hard to come by. But his growth throughout the book and watching him discover his own wants and needs is what really sold me on this Dragonborn hottie.
This was a fun book, that I can easily see being a pretty large fantasy series, with all the Dragonborn siblings in this book there is so much potential to have story’s for them and their found loves. I really enjoyed the spin this author put on this book making the Dragonborn world creators, I’ve never read a fantasy quite like this one, I see a lot of potential in future story’s for that little tidbit of information to come into play. Either way this author decides how to play it you can bet I’ll be right there eating her story’s up.

The characters in this book are each unique and delightful as their stories unfold. I loved the friendships, the bonds and the desire to be there for each other. James Moore and his bestie Evelyn can always count on each other for the truth as they tease each other like siblings. Tessa Lopez and her bestie Freddie are there for each other without hesitation. Joseph McClearly, roommate and police officer is always true to himself. It takes everyone working together to solve this case. This sweet romance is a great feel-good read.

Finding Hope is the first in a series called Half Moon Bay. It was an amazing story that followed Hope and Alex in the most amazing location in St. Croix. Hope finds herself looking for a new opportunity for her future and ends up in St. Croix. There she meets Alex who is a diver for the resort that Hope shows up at. This was a very slow burn but intriguing story that left me wanting to read more! I’m definitely in for the rest of the series, and find myself wanting to be the next visitor at Half Moon Bay Resort.

Book 2 of this series continues following Gaelen after we met him in the last book and learned of his immortality. We also saw how he treated Dr Shaw and as you may have guessed thats going to come back to haunt him. Second story starts with Gaelen’s discovery of a piece of glass in his friend Arthur Conan Doyle’s journal. The journey that starts was masterfully written. Gaelen time travels running into a lot of drama, love, anger,loss surprise and worst disease he has to idea how to stop it from destroying everything anf everyone. He will need Dr Shaws help…but what will he have to do to redeem himself and get her help because only the Two of them working together can save everyone and with how he treated her anyone would say no. Don’t miss this masterfully written book that kept me hanging word for word throughout

Master Tuscano (Book Two in the Masters of the Consulate Series) By Sylvia Black
Master Tuscano is the second book in this series. This book is fast paced but is an easy read. This book centres around Christian who is another if the masters and Delilah who the Consulate does not like or approve of. Christian appears to be pig headed and will protect Delilah from anyone. As for Delilah being human, she does not stay around to hear things that she feels she does not need to listen to. Being human is one thing the Consulate sees as a problem for them. Now as with all epic stories such as this one, things go pear shaped, Christian decides he needs to turn Delilah into a vampire and basically does not care what the consulate will think as there is no way he is going to lose the one that he loves. Will Christian be in trouble with the Consulate for his move with Delilah? Really enjoying this series and so glad I decided to read the books.

This is my second book by Sylvia Black, which is Master Descallia the first book in the series. After reading book 11 first then coming to book one I would suggest they should not be read as a stand alone as we all know even the smallest amount of background history helps throughout the series. As I said in my book 11 review, I do not normally read vampire stories, but this series looks like it is going to be good one to read. I have to say this book is a nice quick read and has been written beautifully. This book centres around Salvatore and Lucianna. Lucianna is a detective, Salvatore is an Overlord, they are brought together to work on the disappearance of women. In order for the search for the missing women to continue, she has been given a team to collaborate with her. It is through the search interactions that he finds thee is attraction between himself and Lucianna, but why and how can is the attraction there? If you enjoy vampire stories, I think this may be shaping up to be the series you need to read.

An enjoyable and engaging beach romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Hope’s life is turned upside down when she unexpectedly becomes the owner of a scuba diving resort in the Caribbean. Dive instructor Alex is scarred by his past but has made peace with his life on the island, then Hope arrives. Whilst Hope and Alex are trying to ignore their mutual attraction and obvious chemistry, a series of mishaps throws them together. This slow burn romance had me hooked. The island setting of St. Croix came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel fully immersed in the story. The chemistry between the likeable and relatable Hope and Alex came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. I look forward to returning to Half Moon Bay soon!

I enjoyed book one Wrecked and jumped straight into this book. Make sure you start at the beginning as the characters are intertwined. With plenty of action these alpha bad boy bikers with big hearts will protect those they love and those who need it no matter the cost. A lot goes on and the stories follow the Merciless Few MC, its ride or die with second chances, club drama, steamy scenes, some violence, a lot of danger, redemption, overflowing emotions and plenty of heat. Hooked is a fast-paced raw drama filled story and you are in for a wild ride. It hits you in all the feels so have tissues nearby. Jett/Fiend is emotionally scarred, a broken man, broken spirit, ejected, and hiding secrets. Can he dig his way out of the blackhole he has imposed upon himself with the love of a good woman and surrounded by his brothers from the club? You will need to read it to find out his story. I really recommend this for those that like MC romance.

3 – 3.5 stars Andrew loves adventures as any little boy would. Sometimes he needs his armour and sometimes he doesn’t. It is a story of strength and understanding who they are. It also encourages contributing to others. The story has strong religious themes that encourages young ones to put their faith in God. The illustrations are bright and helps see what the story is about. There is also an activity guide for children to explore. If you are a religious family, then this book is for your children.
An enjoyable, engaging and intriguing historical fantasy novel that had me captivated throughout. Physician Simon and apothecary Gaelan first meet in Victorian London. Simon gives his wife an elixir created by Gaelan from an ancient manuscript, but instead of curing her cancer it kills her. A suicidal Simon then swallows the remainder hoping for the same result, but finds that he cannot die. Five years later and Simon learns that Gaelan also has regenerative powers and is a Bedlam inmate. They both conceal their immortality through the ages but remain hopeful of reversing the elixir if they can find Gaelan’s missing manuscript. In the modern-day a pharmaceutical company, Transdiff Genomics discovers diaries about Bedlam inmates being tortured. The scientists suspect a link between Gaelan and an unnamed inmate. Meanwhile, Gaelan and Genomics geneticist Anne seem to be powerfully drawn to one another. A revelation is made when they learn that Anne’s family has a connection to his manuscript. This is a dual timeline story which kept me hooked from start to finish. The descriptive narrative brought both past and present settings vividly to life, making me feel fully immersed in the story. This book is a light hearted and fun romance story with some brilliant characters. I was pulled straight into this book from the first page. I thought the story was well developed and a great example of a slow build story. I loved watching how the story played out and the characters grew together throughout it. The connection between the two characters was obvious from the start and it only grew stronger as they navigated everything thrown at them. This is the perfect book for one of those lazy afternoons reading and I found it to be thorough enjoyable.

Bonnie is being hassled by an abusive Ex but is saved by Malice when her Ex just won’t take no for an answer after leaving a diner. When the Ex escalates his behaviour with no one else to help Bonnie turns to Malice and things develop from there. This captivating storyline filled with wonderful characters had me turning page after page and I am sure you will be hooked too! This is a brand new author for me and who doesn’t love it when they find a fantastic and talented new authors creations to read. I was initially drawn in because I love MC books but it is this authors talent that kept me reading and will have me going back to read more of this series!
