This is the first book on The Veil Series. This is a dystopian fantasy adventure which had me hooked from the beginning. The author has done a great job of creating a unique story and the way the author tells the story and builds the worlds really brings it to life. I love the main character Selene. She is a very strong, determined character who is set on surviving this strange realm she now finds herself in. Her journey isn’t an easy one. It is a fast paced dangerous journey as she has to battle time and again for her survival. Even when she thinks she can’t go on anymore she always finds the strength from somewhere.

When a cataclysmic earthquake hits Selene’s small town she finds herself transported to another place with beings that aren’t human. Now she is in a constant battle for survival against creatures she doesn’t know about and a world where reality as she knows it no longer exists.
This is a story about overcoming adversity, striving to survive, and learning to function in a place that makes no sense at all. It is also a journey of discover for Selene, not only discover of the people and the place she now finds herself in but also a discovery of herself and finding out just how strong and resilient she can be when she has to be.
I look forward to reading more in this series.

I absolutely loved the elegance and grace of this alphabet book. If you are looking for something a little less “baby” as a gift then this is the book for you. The illustrations are phenomenal and ornate yet delicate and luxurious. The word choice is so refreshing and wonderful that you will appreciate the change of pace. I cannot gush enough about this book. Get it right now and add it your library or get it for a gift.

This is a quick, fun read that will have your littles wanting to know “Where’s Gramma?!” I really enjoyed the rhyming aspect as well as the awesome illustrations that follow the story so well. Definitely add this to your bookshelves!

The things we do for family. N.L. Holmes brings us Neferet and Bener-ib’s newest adventure or I should say mystery. This time though it’s very close to home with her uncle being in direct danger and thus her entire family at risk. From different perspectives we get to see not only how Neferet investigates but her father Hani.
Neferet’s uncle Pipi is essentially a giant ten-year-old as she describes him, at least financially. His newest passion is chariot making, though when things start not going as planned, he recognizes that and wants out only his friend tries first and ends up murdered the next day. He has no other choice, he must let his older brother Hani know what’s going on, he needs his help in finding a way out and getting free. While Hani goes to speak to the widow about what happened and trying to learn more about the other investors, Neferet goes straight to the chariot maker in hopes of learning more. Learn more she does, the plan to get rich wasn’t his idea but someone else’s and even he doesn’t know all the details and who the investors are, he only states he won’t turn down the silver he’s brought.
Who is behind the plan? Can Neferet and Hani discover the truth? What will happen to Uncle Pipi and the entire family if they don’t figure it out in time? With each book in this incredibly in-depth series your shown more of the historical aspects of Ancient Egypt. This time we got a better look into chariot making and how one kick of a horse can damage the integrity of the entire thing. The map at the beginning, the character list, and the glossary all helps in fully immerse the reader in the mystery that follows. I can’t wait to see what mystery Neferet and Bener-ib will solve next.

This is the second book I read in this series which I enjoyed just as much as the first. I enjoy this author’s ability to pull me into the character’s lives with ease and keep me engaged to the end. This is a well written story about Flend. He has made a lot of mistakes and doesn’t feel that he deserves to be loved. Will he figure out that he is worthy of love and her? I enjoyed his character and what he brought to the story. He is one of my favorites for sure. He has been through alot in which the author did a great job of making me feel for him with their attention to details. The growth of this story is great throughout which makes it easy and entertaining to read. I found this book to be fast paced, hard to put down a story that you don’t want to miss. I look forward to reading more from this series in the future. I highly recommend this book.

I love how realistic this book is, how siblings can interfere with everyday life and how you always are looking for your long lost love. A book that you can easily place yourself in the characters shoes and are along for the rollercoaster ride that is life.

A must read to see how Hope finds herself and a little bit of love along the way.

This book forms part of the War of Destiny series and is the backstory on a character we have become familiar with throughout the series. I would high recommend reading the books in the order the author intended to get full enjoyment out of it.
It was brilliant to get to know more about this character and his backstory. I thought the story was a really interesting one to read and it added so much to the overall series. The main character has so much pain and trauma, and it makes the journey he goes on so much more in depth. I was fully pulled into this story and enjoyed it from start to finish.

I’m just “ rocking” this cover 🥰🤣and what’s in between them is even better 😉

I may have a little lost with the Canadian references but fear not google is your friend and now Canada is on my bucket list 😉🥰

Tyler works as a music manager and while she enjoys what she goes her boss Sebastian is a bit of a chop and I’d love to give him a clip around the ear 🤣 Cary Kingston is a delectable rockstar

Tyler had a crush on Cary about 15 years ago and she’s sworn off dating musicians thanks to Dave , who is a real waste of space , just for the record , anyhoo Cary has to spend time with Tyler and he’s more than a little interested and it’s got nothing to do with our canine cutie , Rory 🥰🐾 , he’s Tyler’s four legged bestie and doesn’t bark but I’m sure Rory won’t mind helping Cory in his quest to win Tyler over 🐾🥰😉 I think he enjoys being seen as Cary the man not the star everyone wants something whereas she’s just interested in the person 🥰

I loved the music references but I loved watching Tyler and Cary more , they rock in a harmonious way 🥰🙈🤣and I’ll babysit Rory anytime 🐾❣️

Finding Hope is the first book in the Half Moon Bay series and is a small town Romance with beach/ island setting. There’s plenty of drama,chemistry, angst and so much more. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely a fan already. Their style of writing and attention to detail makes you feel apart of the story. The characters are fully developed and relatable. Alex and Hope both have their pasts. She’s stuck in a rut and finds herself the new owner of a Dive resort so fate has something big in store for her. Alex is also in a ruthless and lives and breathes scuba diving a the resort where he’s the instructor. These two have some serious chemistry between. Can they be what the other is looking for? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more about them soon

What a cover !

Harper is just trying to live her life , keep her nose clean and finish her studies as a computer science major and she’s a rather talented artist , talk about an all rounder ! Did I mention she’s a hacker 🤷‍♀️🥹

Her brother is serving the country , he’s a Drlta Force member and then he disappears 🤯but he sent her a mail and that’s where the plot thickens and keys just say not all conspiracy theories are theories , where there’s smoke there’s fire that’s for sure !

Caleb , hey brothers friend and fellow brother in atms is home recovering from s spinal injury and she turns to Caleb help find her brother and bring him home and I just want to add he’s more than easy on the eye 🥰🤣🙈

What really irked me is that most laughed her off because of her mental health history and while I hear their concerns I really felt their prejudice thank goodness for Caleb 🙏 also the things people will do for money and innocent lives have to pay the price makes my blood boil so this read isn’t so fictional because these things really do happen we just don’t hear of it, makes one think 🤔

I know they’re in for the fight if their lives but their hearts are also at stake and there was a good balance to keep me on my toes and my heart beating fast 🥰😉

Loved every minute of this read , be ready for a few twists though 🤔🥰

So this is the 3rd book in the series and I quite literally binged them one after the other !

This time round things are a little more personal for Neferet as it’s her uncle she has to help , he somehow got sucked into a pyramid scheme of sorts ( pardon the pun ) and who knew that even back in those days you had terrible schemes like this 🤷‍♀️and “ investors” are dying so time is of the essence and their lives are in a danger to a degree …..

Her father was nervous and rightly so but he also knows his daughter and his support is unfailing , good job dad 🥰

Let’s not forget Brute 🐾🥰 oh he just won me over with his canine personality , really is man’s best friend 🐾🥰

There were sone unexpected twists and it just befuddles me how determined these girls are even in the face of danger and opposition!. This is definitely a family you’d want to a part of 😉❣️

Hopefully Uncle Pa-Kiki has learnt his lesson 🙈😉🤷‍♀️

Having read the first book I thought my brain have been overloaded with facts but guess what ? I wanted more ! These girls are fearless , determined and inspiring 😉and they have their families support which always go a long way 🥰

We get to meet Mutty , an apprentice with the girls and now she’s also part of our sleuthing team 🤪

This time a body washes up on the riverbank of Lord Hani’s residence and the girls are going to find the killer and again they’re faced with danger , lord , mystery and intrigue and my mind is all over with facts and places but what a journey ! I feel well travelled 🤪😉

These girls will keep any man on their toes 🤣

I was hesitant to take a chance on this series simply because it’s something I wouldn’t ordinarily read but I can tell you I don’t regret it for one minute !

Set on Ancient Egypt , our brave girls Neferet and Benet-in open a dispensary and I say brave because I don’t think it was common place in those days ….

Their first “ patient” dies but with his dying breath he utters the word “rabbet” the girls are determined to find the one responsible for his death and I can just imagine how they must’ve felt having their first patient die so I agree with them and their determined spirits 😉

The girls don’t have it easy and tide that see them as competitors are slandering them and they get rather malicious and honestly they don’t deserve it but they don’t let it deter them and they just stick it out , you go girls

I loved being transported to a different place and time and it made realise afresh how much freedom i as a female actually have and it’s quite humbling to say the least and the definitions in the beginning were a great help so that I could understand and get a better idea of what I was reading they really are an inspiration , thank you girls 🤗

The Veil is the first phenomenal book from the Veil Realm series by Karli Rush. From the first page you can tell how unique this book is. A truly original and refreshing read that you can absolutely lose yourself for hours. This author is new to me, and I was thoroughly invested straight away, often finding it extremely difficult to put it down. This book really has a bit of everything, and I loved it. I am definitely looking forward to seeing where this series goes!

Wheel if Evil is book three in the Hani’s Daughter Mystery series by N. L. Holmes. I have read the entire series so far and I can absolutely say it is so so difficult to put down once you start reading. This author has an amazing talent of putting you right there in the book alongside these characters, and I speak from personal experience when I saw you’ll lose sleep for this series. I’ve loved every book by this author so far, and highly recommend reading everything from this series! I absolutely cannot wait to see more from this author!

This was a great 4 star read. It is a novella for the Predator series. I was excited to get Beth and Scott’s story. Beth has a past that she is trying to move forward from. There is something about Scott that calls to Beth and she starts to fall for him. There is something about him that makes her feel safe. I really liked both characters, I had some LOL moments. Overall I enjoyed this read and getting to see more in depth story for these two. It can be read as a stand alone but I do suggest reading from the beginning of the series. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Hooked is the second book in The Merciless Few series by S. Courtney. It is a heart-wrenching and emotional MC romance with plenty of angst, challenges, drama, chemistry, spice, intriguing characters, MC brotherhood, connection, hope, and the healing power of love.
After reading the first book, Wrecked, I was curious to see where this second book would lead us – and let’s just say you will probably need a box of tissues beside you while reading this story. Ms. Courtney certainly toyed with my emotions with this one.
I also highly recommend reading the first book before starting on this one, as there are interconnected details, recurring characters, and other pertinent details contained there which will help you to more fully appreciate this story.
Looking forward to more of The Merciless Few!

I hadn’t read any books by this author before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this up. I was absolutely blown away by how quickly I was engrossed in this world! I couldn’t put it down and ended up ignoring many (all of) my chores for the entire day. This is the first book in The Casket Girls series and already a favorite of mine. The number of twists and turns in this book were mind-blowing! Just when I thought I had something figured out, the author suddenly made a change that fit perfectly even though I wasn’t expecting it. The characters are amazing. I love it when a book is written in dual points of view as it allows me to experience the characters a little deeper. I am on my way to pick up the second book in the series because I need more from this author. If you enjoy captivating paranormal romances, please don’t pass this up!

I’m going to be sad when these books are done. I absolutely love this series! Master Bistrita is the beginning of the end. One more book left, though the author kept you guessing. It felt like it was going to wrap up in this book and not go one more. These books are not meant to be read as standalone novels, but in consecutive order. It’s one long story told over the series, where each of the masters falls. This time it was Master Bistrita’s turn.
Chara has a lot going on. Worried about her friend, worried about what’s going on, potentially being in danger ect. Never did she expect a vampire master to be on her radar. Especially after she stood up to him and gave him a peace of mind while checking up on her friend. Never believing in fated mates that all changed after Master Bistrita came to her rescue there’s something there, which exactly needs to be explored.
Master Bistrita doesn’t have time to lust after someone, a human at that. He needs to locate Lucas to end this war with the rogues. But Chara is a presence he can’t deny. She’s more and he wants all of her. Unfortunately his worry for her is impeding his judgment while trying to finish the war.
Will Chara and Bistrita give in?
Will they locate Lucas?
Again I don’t want this series to end. I’m glad there’s one more book to look forward too! It’s so worth it! This one was good not one of my favorites but good all the same.

Kellan has been being a wild child and nobody can reign him in. His brother is tired of cleaning up behind him and keeping the family name in good standing. Kellan thinks getting away from work will do him good and takes a three day vacation. When he meets Salem on his trip they both agree to one night, no names. One night turned into a few and then came the day they said goodbye, or so they thought. When he is called back to clean up the latest mess he left, a PR fixer is also called. Kellan and Salem thought their fling was over but it seems that was just the start to something more permanent. I enjoyed these first two books and am looking forward to reading about the next brother.

What a beautifully illustrated unique ABC book. Some sophisticated words and illustrations to brighten the pages. Simply stunning and what a great way to broaden a child’s mind and make them want to learn the wonderful words used to describe the illustrations. My only issue is that I think the definition should be on the page with the letter/word/illustration. I love that the definitions are in the book but I think associating the meaning with the word and the picture would make it stick even more (in my opinion)

Word Play is a cute children’s picture book with bright colorful illustrations. The story tells us of Joe’s first day of school. He starts off spelling his name with his cereal. That really took me back to my childhood, with alphabet cereal and soup. I remember how much fun it was to try to spell things. But I digress… Joe wanders out of school and explores the shops in town, looking for someone to help him read. Now for the kid listeners, this probably sounds like a fun adventure. The mom is me was shocked he wandered away from school without being stopped, and visited several stores without being questioned. Thank goodness for Bea, likely a wonderful grandma. I read this to my 8 year old and he enjoyed it, pointing out to me he agreed that Joe shouldn’t have left school alone.

Gramma is all over. Showing the boys new things and letting them learn and experience things they will enjoy. This book is pretty cool and shows that Gramma’s can do it all and will show you things you may never experience otherwise.

Greer and Theron, our main characters, weren’t meant to fall in love. The circumstances in how or why they met was meant to leave Greer deceased, but Theron had other plans. Greer is facing a marriage to a stranger after being taken from her hometown of Paris against her will. In order to save the friends she has made in the convent, as well as Theron, she makes a deal with Hades himself. Does she succeed in saving her loved ones? This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it. Both leads were strong and the story was easy to follow. I will definitely be picking up the second book.

I enjoyed Falling for a Star in the City, more than I thought I would. The first book was alright, but the characters were too young and immature for my liking. This book started off rough, where the end of every chapter was filled with negative attitude and self- doubt. I was rolling my eyes I thought I was going to hate it. But I ended up really enjoying the story. It was nice seeing Paige mature and find herself. She developed from a striving teenage soap star, questioning her worth and just trying to fit in… and matured into a character that I really enjoyed. She learned to stand up for herself, learn what real friends and real relationships can feel like, and stopped living on social media worried about what everyone else thinks. I look forward to the next book, because the author and characters are getting better as the series goes on. I am not sure I totally agree with the age range; 100% its a YA book, but I don’t know about an 11 year old enjoying this book. Not my 11 year old anyway.
