The idea of making homemade treats for their puppies does engage the reader. Most kids do want to make special treats for their dogs. This does show the reader what it’s like to bake treats in an ideal environment. The illustrations are very realistic and colorful to catch the reader’s eye with what’s going on each page. I do like the fact that the author does provide recipes and safety tips when you’re in the kitchen.

We are back in the world of Emma and Jeremy on another adventure and mystery. This time they are investigating the murder of a friends brother and have to go undercover to see what has happened and what lies in store. Recruiting his sister and her husband to help the merry band of four of them have to try uncover the secrets with lie ahead.
As always they are plunged into danger, action and thrilling adventures which adds to the twists and turns of the book, as you are taken along the journey you just want to dive straight in and become one with the characters.
I have read many of this authors books in this series and they are all unique and thrilling with the twists and turns and the way the story flows having you anticipating the next jump are clue to the mystery and this book does not disappoint. With all the same old characters which we all love mixed in with some fresh new ones you will be swept away with the whole story.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this wonderful series.

This book is the “what happens after the happily ever after”. Short stories used to bring us back into a world of love, hate, acceptance and closed-mindedness. Not a perfect world but this author puts the emphasis on the love and acceptance these characters have for each other and their friends.
I really enjoyed catching up with all the characters from the previous books. It was like checking social media to see what’s new with our friends. The steamy parts weren’t so bad either as long as you like consensual, breathtaking, fulfilling sex.
Recommended for those that have read and enjoyed the rest of the series.

Her Sapphire Blade is the first book in the Guardians of Camelot series by Sarah Biglow. Having loved Ms. Biglow’s Seasons of Magic series and finding out that this story is part of that ‘universe’, made reading this a no-brainer for me, and I one-clicked this baby, happily setting off on the adventure. This is an Arthurian inspired urban fantasy, with quite a bit of a twist to the classic we know and love. Providing an action-packed adventure full of magic, challenges, a tournament, guardian warriors, witches/Fae/dragons, portals, fate/destiny, high stakes, dramatic developments, mythology, secrets, discovery, betrayal/deception, the paranormal, intrigue, mystery, suspense, danger, tension, and much more. Even though Morgan le Fey knew magic was real, she didn’t believe any of the stories that her Aunt Nim had been telling her all her life. They were just fairytales- weren’t they? But with the death of her aunt, modern day London gives way to Camelot and a destiny she never anticipated. Now she will need to face challenges that she isn’t prepared for, let alone have any hope of overcoming. The weight of ‘claiming her destiny’ sits heavily on her shoulders. I love this series of books. They give great information in easy to read ways. I love the rhyming that are in these stories. The pictures are always cute as well. The story was short and sweet. I love the MANY recipes included at the end. I always find it such an awesome thing when extras are included at the end of stories.

WOW! The illustrations in this book are absolutely stunning! I had to go through it multiple times. I love that this is an ABC book that isn’t the same as all of the others. A for Apple, B for ball, C for cat, etc. It not only introduces new words, but prompts conversation. I read this with my 7yo son. He is at a 5th grade reading level but loved this book as well. I love that all of the definitions were in the back to help in case you didn’t know a word. As an advanced reader, I didn’t know one of the words myself. I hope more books like this are put out in the future. Especially with those stunning pictures!

Alexis and Sebastian met in Paris thanks to Finley and Drake and the trouble they got into together last time. I thought they would be good together then and now I think they are great.
Alexis is in danger after accidentally discovering something that has the potential to be very dangerous. Sebastian is there to help her stay safe and maybe fall in love.
The adventure and suspense doesn’t let up one bit and I may have developed a little crush on Alexis after the shoe incident.

Oh my goodness. Finn and Chessly’s story made me giggle during all of the angsty parts. Watching Finn make his play annnnddddd then absolutely make a mess of it was a little cringe worthy, but I was really glad to see him get a second chance. Chessly is definitely a powerhouse. She knows her worth and doesn’t settle for less than. Reading and watching their story develop from a slow-burn to steamy was whooo!!! Spicy! I loved reading this book by Tam and now I think I’m going to go read her other books in this series!

Be My Little Baby (London Detective Agency Book 2)
This only thing I was disappointed in was the fact I had not read the first book in the series. It’s not necessary to read it, but I’m one of those who hate reading series out of order. I will end up going back, reading the first and re-reading this second book.
James and Tessa have quite the interesting relationship. She starts as a client with a stalker and then it ends up so much more. Throw in some longtime friends on both sides and it ends up being entertaining.
I love trying to figure out who the villain of the story is since most have at least one. I went between two most of the way through, then it clicked with me just before we found out. Love that it kept my brain working and it wasn’t as obvious to me, but I’m sure others will figure it out sooner.

This book to my surprise turned out to be a very interesting read, a creative spin to the Arthurian and Camelot lore. I am a fan of this genre and have watched quite a few movies which involve king Arthur , his round table ,his knights and the legendary sword, the Excalibur. Morgan LeFey, despite being repeatedly told by her grand mother that she has magical skills, turns a deaf ear to them until a stranger knocks on her door asking her to claim her destiny. When she is transported into the magical world of Camelot, the magic beckons her and she learns to wield it properly. But now she is up against the witches, the dragons and other adversaries only to take on Arthur for the throne. This was such an engaging and delightful read. I cannot wait for the next in the series.

Never a dull moment in this series. The author doesn’t make you wait long for the action like life moments happen in an instant and this instalment in the Shadow Defense Security series is no different. Dual perspectives of Seb and Alexis. A normal task for Alexis turns everything upside down when she discovers genetically engineered algae that even a small sample could poison the world’s freshwater supplies. Being the logical person she is she decides to sneak away and make her way to the University of Miami where she can get a second opinion before taking her information to the scientific community. Only she is immediately being watched and followed by those responsible. Seb is sent by Finlay, Alexis’s best friend, to help her complete her journey. Seb is a former Navy SEAL, partnered with Drake, Finlay’s boyfriend (book 3), and three others they own Shadow Defense Security, a private military contractor. Seb’s goal is to safely get Alexis to Miami, but the men hunting her and now him will stop at nothing to keep their discovery from seeing the light of day. Forever to Fall is Book 5 in the Buckeye Falls Series…I love how I fell like I am part of the Buckeye Falls family. Libby has created this wonderful sense of small town community that I want to be part of….seeing each character develop in this series, you become invested from the beginning of the first book to the end of this book. I love the heartwarming, small town romance full of family, love, friendships, trust and a little bit of secrets.
Mallory and Beckett knew each other since childhood and there has always been this spark between them…but nothing came about since Mallory’s brother, Evan is Beckett’s best friend. Mixing friendship and romance was off the table and feelings were suppressed between Mallory and Beckett. When Beckett moves back to Buckeye Falls…so many things are happening between family memories, being the best man in a wedding but also the feelings of Mallory coming back into his life….will Beckett and Mallory get their HEA that they deserve…..
Definitely read and find out…I very highly recommend reading this entire series in order..I have loved every book in this series. This may well be the last book but I always look forward to seeing what Libby may have in store for me next to enjoy!!

Well, book 2 in the London Detective Agency series did not disappoint. I enjoyed book 1 and book 2 was also so good! The dynamics between Tessa and James were sizzling and I actually loved the more relatable storyline when compared to book 1. Having Evie and Patrick in the sequel connected the stories and was a great continuation from book 1. Lots of fun characters to follow and learn about, but Tessa and James were wonderful and I loved how they dealt with each obstacle as it came along. I will be recommending this series to other book fans for sure. Warning, you will be craving pumpkin bars by the end of the book!

An Ember of Hope: War of Destiny by Theresa Van Spankeren. This is such a fast paced vampire, paranormal story. I highly recommend reading the first book to get a better understanding of the characters and storyline. Its the continuing story of Matthew who is struggling to figure out where to go and what to do after losing his soulmate and being betrayed by a member of his ka-tet. He was kidnapped, beaten, and tortured the cost of his freedom was the death of his soulmate. Matthew retreats to the mountains to be by himself and try to figure out how to go on. He has severe PTSD, nightmares and flashbacks keeping him up for days. He knows his is the only one that can stop Valentino and his quest for destroying their world as they know it. This is a fast paced, vampire read that will keep you flipping pages late in the night. I can’t wait to read the next installation in this amazing paranormal series.

Porter and Midge: Paws and Pastries A Kid’s Guide to Homeade Dog Treats (Porter & Midge Children’s Book Series). I love this series and I’ve shared them all with my 6 year old nephew and he loves them as well. He has a dog so this book was especially relatable to him. Porter is a Mastiff and Midge is a Greater Swiss Mountain dog and their owners are C J and Lora. C J and Lora are finding ways to make treats for Porter & Midge. This book includes several recipes for different treats for their dogs. There are cute pictures and the story is fairly short so that it will keep your young ones attention span. These are such wonderful books for your young ones library.

Great read although from the start the cover changed on my kindle and I almost thought I picked up the wrong book lol
First, I never knew there was really something called A Casket Girl, and it seems it was a real thing, basically a girl brought from France to Marry aka A casquette girl. On that note it took this story and transformed it into something more fascinating and exceptional to keep my wanting more.
Greer the FMC was awesome, and I felt that she was more Intune to a lot of what is going on and special right from the start. Everyone else in the beginning on the boat seemed a bit naive and excited for the new life they were going into. I liked the suspense and shows how things don’t always go as planned.
I always give out too much info when talking about a book and spoilers, but I usually keep it simple when I feel like I’m bursting. I am looking forward to buying the next book and reading more by this author.

Super great love story. Along with an emotional rollercoaster. I love this story! Childhood friends who fall in love when adults. Who could ask for a better romance story? Even though this is book 5 in this series, it was still captivating. It drew me in on chapter one and I could not put it down. This author has a way with writing stories. Her story is a fast read and easy to keep up with. She misses no details in her writing, keeping you reading. This is a must read series!

This was a good four star read. I was pulled right in with the action and rollercoaster of emotions. Jett has some pretty deep scars. Will Poppy be the one that will finally bring him happiness? All of the characters added a great element to the story. If you are looking for a good MC series this is the one for you. Shadowed Storm by Mavery Ellscott is the fourth installment to the Shadow Defense Security series but could easily be read as a standalone. This story follows Alexis, an oceanographer who is quite the avid lover of the water and the whole world that lies beneath. Alexis comes across a dangerous alga during a dive that could wreak irreparable damage to the waters if released. With the help of her sexy former Navy SEAL friend, Seb, they try to eradicate the problem and keep themselves safe in the process. However, their enemy has a lot of power, a lot of resources and will not allow Alexis to put a stop to the nefarious plan so easily.
I really, REALLY loved this story and I feel like the author’s world-building and writing has been so consistent and perfect across these stories. She has done such a wonderful job creating likeable and realistic characters and gives the reader the perfect amount of detail to really make the story flourish without going overboard. Definitely recommend if you love a good thriller that will keep you on edge with a twisty storyline and amazing characters!
As a former DV survivor, books with Domestic Violence and Cheating is not my cup of tea, overall this book was a good story just not my favorite and only due to the DV and stuff. I liked the story, some things did trigger my anxiety but it is realistic. The doubt, the love and revenge and the regret that comes with it for a slight moment.
Just shows how far someone is willing to go in revenge. This was also a very short book

Falling for a Star in the City: A Hockey Romance By Krysten Lindsay Hager
I loved this book!!! I really didn’t think I would to much as it started out slow, the story as a whole was great!! It was relatable as most of us feel like we don’t live up to what our parents wanted and yet we are still out here doing it every day. When Paige’s show is on hold due to another actor she goes to intern for a bit, broke up with her struggling rockstar boyfriend and just feels lost in life. Shortly after the breakup her ex is signed with a label and the songs are all about her but has been changed from the love songs he wrote to breakup and not so nice. Things start to look up, she is doing great at her new job, she made a new friend, but is also torn between her ex and new friend. It was a very good read.

Someone out there has wicked plans for this algae and Alexis just got in their way. She now has a target on her back but she has an ace up her sleeve by the name of Seb Tremblay, former Navy SEAL. They need to find a way to neutralize this threat before it can be released and they end up six feet under. I have enjoyed every book in this series so far. They each have a little something different as far as what kind of trouble they are in or problem that is being solved. It was nice to see characters from previous books in here as well. It was like catching up with some old friends. This author hooks you and keeps you turning the pages with all the twists and turns.
This is a cute story book that shows lots of different homes and families. The illustrations are engaging and help to tell the story. Full of animals and people each with their own home. This is a nice way to show that each home is different but still a place full of love. A quick but engaging book that little ones can enjoy.

Ebony lives in a world where the government pretty much dictates everything. She lives off the rations the government provides and what she can get by with from working. Ebony is what is called a half soul and she has the opportunity to become whole if she can find the person with the other half. The catch is that she would have to fight for that other half and only one can live. When she finds out she has cancer she decides to sacrifice herself so that whoever has the other half of her soul may live a full life. She hires Lark who is a searcher and can help bring the two halves together. There is a spark between them but it should be impossible since Ebony only has half a soul. Will she still be willing to give up her life now that she has possibly found her soulmate? This is genre that I have recently started to dabble in here and there. It was a little confusing in some parts while piecing things together but it eventually all came together and was then easy to understand. I hope to get some time to read more from this author.

An utterly unique take on showing littles the alphabet and introducing them to words. The words were fun, the pages beautifully illustrated, and the definitions at the end a nice touch.

I can’t tell who enjoyed this book – the kids or me! I loved the idea of an alphabet book using more imaginative and interesting words and this book has done it perfectly. I loved the choice of words from the author and I loved even more than descriptions were provided. My kids really engaged with the story and learning new words. My daughter was so excited a couple of days later when she was able to use one of them, even more so when it shocked her grandmother! This whole book is such a clever idea. We got such enjoyment out of reading it the first time and I am sure we will get just as much when we inevitably read it again. I would highly recommend this book.

With this book we are back on another adventure with Porter and Midge, and it is just as entertaining as their other ones. I think this one is easily our favourite in the series so far. We all loved the idea of them lending a hand in the kitchen and found the whole story to be fun and great to read. The story, as usual, is so well written. It hits its intended audience perfectly. It is engaging and the illustrations really seem to jump off the page. This whole series is absolutely fantastic and we honestly could not recommend it any more.
