My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read a few books from this author but she continues to blow my mind. This is the fifth book of the Moto X series. You can read this as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I was hooked on these characters right from the beginning. It only took me a little over a day to devour this awesome book.

Levi Crowe has it all. He has the looks and also the money. Levi loves to party and bring a different girl home every night. He doesn’t want to have his heart broken ever again so he never has the same girl more than once. Levi runs into this goddess that turns him down. He is also forced to get his life back together by working for his dad. Levi is shocked when he finds out that the goddess is now his boss. He wants to get to know her but she wants nothing to do with him. Will Levi get what he wants or will he end up with another broken heart?

For the past seven years, Levi has not had a care in the world and gave up his dream job all because his heart was shattered. Levi has everything women want. All the money he wants at the tips of his finger, sexy body, the life of the party every weekend and he has his pick of any woman he wants. Or so he thought! The night he was turned down for the first time ever would be the very same night his whole entire life would change.
Kindle is a drop-dead gorgeous bad a**. Quick-witted with her sassy remarks and hidden under her leather jacket is one fierce lawyer. She has all her ducks in a row, great job on her way to making partner with the law firm, a cozy house with a crazy roommate, Kindle has it all. At least until Levi comes barging into her life.
This is the first book I have read in the series but I was able to follow along rather quickly. It was a great fast-paced page-turner. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

5 stars!

Great read. At first I didn’t feel the least bit sorry for Levi and how his life was going thus far. He made his own bed. I can understand losing someone you thought was the love of your life and the way he did could be heartbreaking but, some time has passed, move on, grow up. Kindle and Levi are great together, and I am really happy to see him thriving and bettering himself finally. My favorite part of the book is the character Claire, it blows my mind how much of a psycho and how full of herself she is, it had me cracking up a couple times because of the lunacy that is her.

Squid is the fifth book in the Moto X series by Brooke May. As with the rest of the series, this is a very enjoyable contemporary romance- with chemistry, drama, self-discovery, finding love unexpectedly, reforming wild ways, character growth and development, banter, and some emotion.
This is the fifth book in the series, but it could easily be read as a standalone. Having said that though, you will probably want to get your hands on the entire series to binge on- because one book won’t be enough to satisfy your Moto X appetite.
Brooke May has a talent for creating interesting and endearing characters who are fully realised individuals with their own unique quirks and flaws. It was so easy to connect with Levi and Kindle- and I was quickly invested in them and the outcome of their story.
Can’t wait to see what Ms. May brings us next!
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Brooke May!

This is the first time I have read anything by this author. The way she makes me dislike the main character Levi is unmatched. I disliked his whole entitled attitude and the way he thought he was God’s gift to women. His drunken womanizing ways was just icky. Then as the story evolves and Levi is made to grow up and become a REAL man, I start liking him. This book has some funny parts and some serious parts but the chemistry between Levi and Kindle is definitely there from the moment they meet. Good story, I will read her stuff again.

I enjoyed this book. Although, I have not read the rest of the series, I think it is easy to follow along without having the story from the other books. This was another book that I could not put down and finished in a day.
“Squid: A rider who could use some training on his form and technique.” This is exactly the term to describe bachelor, Levi Crowe. He knows how to please the ladies but relationships, that is a whole new ballgame to this man. He has got everything he thinks he needs, fun times, friends, booze, and women that swarm around him. But he gets a rude awakening when Kindle enters the scene. She doesn’t want anything to do with this man, she has made it clear. So why can’t he get her out of his head?
Levi goes through some challenges and some life changing events. He gets a stalker that he can’t seem to shake. He must excel at his career and change the way he looks at life. Will this be enough to land the girl of his dreams? Or will the life he knows come crashing down on him?

I have loved this author for some time now for all the work and beauty they create when they write. I was hooked upon this latest installment in the series. It was great and full of the things I love that this author can do and create in all they write. It was a good read that I surely enjoyed!

I really loved the relationship build between Levi ad Kindle. Their time together was far from easy, and to get to certain points they really had to work hard at it. I mean Levi went through a lot of character changes, and his change in himself was very realistic, and I very much admired that. I loved the side of Kindle that was strong, but could melt at certain things that Levi could be. I loved their moments together, none of it was easy, and they say good things in life you have to work hard for it, and in which they did over and over again but, not right away. I loved how real the characters were and the story was. I had emption all over, and felt so much. All in all, I loved this read and enjoyed every moment of it!

Wonderful read and great addition to the series by a very talented author. The author certainly knows how pull the reader in and hold them there. Highly recommend this book, a definite must read!

Levi is known for being a playboy who no woman has been able to resist. A series of events forces him to have to finally grow up and he ends up working with Kindle. She’s his supervisor and the one woman that seems immune to his charms. Their chemistry is undeniable but he is going to have his work cut out for him if he wants to change her mind about him. This was such a great book! Levi changes so much throughout the story, he really matures and becomes a much better person. I was pulled in from the very first page and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. If you’re a romance fan, this is one book you’re definitely not going to want to miss!

This was a great 5 star read. Levi (Squid) is quite the player, after he got his heart broken he has no plans to commit. He picks up women at the bars, has his time with them and leaves. After one encounter he finds that those choices can come back to bite you. He also gets some news from his father, he has been cut off. He is a very smart man and is now being told he has to work, no more playboying around. Levi has had several encounters with a woman he can’t get out of his mind, fate steps in and he sees her again. Kindle has been very adamant about keeping him at arm’s length, will she be able to continue to resist him?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. I liked seeing all the characters from the previous books and had some LOL moments. I was pulled in right from the beginning with all that was going on and didn’t want to put it down. I really enjoyed Levi and Kindles story. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading the other books in the Moto X series, all of the characters are great. 1-click and get started today.

This is such an inspirational book. Jax got hurt in an accident and has been struggling with his self confidence especially when it comes to the ladies. He wants to be seen for the person that he is and not for his disability. Lennox crosses his path and the attraction is immediate and intense. Jax decides that he isn’t going to let his disability keep him from happiness any longer but it’s going to be an uphill struggle to try to make things work. This was such a great book you’re definitely not going to want to miss. This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This is a well written romance story that the author’s attention to details made the story feel realistic. Her writing style is such that her books are easy to read and engaging. Her characters make the story come to life. This book is no different. The characters have great chemistry and I enjoyed how supportive of each other. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout. This is a story about Levi and Kindle. Their story is one of romance, rejection and there could be more at stake than they realize. I really enjoyed their story. They made the story entertaining and hard to put down. This is a story you don’t want to miss, a great romance story. I highly recommend this book.

Levi is just an grown up manchild. His dad calls him out and cuts off his funds. Time to get a job and be a man. After getting an STD, Levi has to depend on his law career, he goes into his dad’s firm. Miss Kindle James is his supervisor. It turns out she’s the hotty out who’s not into him and has no qualms telling him off. I loved this story. The chemistry is there. The sparks are so hot that you could start a fire. Dad is a little overbearing. His friends are awesome. All the hard-time giving and wives teasing him was so entertaining as I watched him grow up. Kindle was just as into him as he was for her. She just wasn’t giving up her career goals. The plot was well-developed. Levi matured as we got to watch him develop into a real man who realized what he wanted and went for it. Now, the crazy roommate, that was insane. I’d have run her over. Stalk much, she was nuts. Plot twist at the end was excellent, didn’t see that. This author writes really great romance. So realistic and feels like they could be twisted right from today’s love lines. The characters felt real. I loved Mom with dropping hints for a shopping buddy. I loved everything about this story. Well done! You must read this.

This is the fifth book in the Moto X series. I really enjoyed this romance story. Even though it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. The author does an amazing job with the characters really making them coming alive for the reader. This romance is full of angst and drama and will keep the reader guessing whether or not Levi will get the woman he wants.

I love Levi’s character. From the outside he seems like a lovable cheeky chap who likes a good time and can have his choice of women. What we don’t see at first is the pain he has suffered which is why he doesn’t do love.
When he is told he needs to change his partying ways at first he rebels before he realises how right his family is. Now focused on getting his life back on track, however there is one woman he can’t shake from his mind. And he doesn’t know why because she has rejected him several times. When Kindle comes into his life she turns it upside. What is it about her that keeps him hooked? Is it because he can’t have her that he wants her even more? Or could it be that this woman is the one to break the walls around his heart?

Squid is the fifth book in the Moto X series. Is another great romance by Brooke with a bit of everything to keep glued to the storyline. The story is full of angst and drama and is hot and steamy. You will fall in love the characters and want more of them. This is a great series.

He is fun, loveable and relatable and women love him but deep down it’s a different tune. Only problem is that he wants the one woman who doesn’t want him. Levi and Kindle are two people who need each other she just doesn’t know it.

Like Motocross and partying? Then party boy Levi Crowe is your man. I am looking forward to the next book.

The 3rd book in this fantastic series certainly doesn’t disappoint in any way! It brings us the Story of Macy ( who has been mentioned a little in the first two books) and Brandon who returns home after a lengthy deployment. I love these characters and i know you will too.
Macy and Brandon first meet the night before he is to deploy, they share an unforgettable night together which leaves them both with more than they ever expected! Fast forward five years and Brandon is home and about to find out he not only has a mate he feels drawn to find but a firecracker of a daughter he created on that amazing night together. Macy and Brandon still feel that connection but has too much time past and too many things changed for them to truly make it all work?
While this 3rd book in this amazing series, could be read as a stand alone if you wish, personally I would start from the beginning purely because it is a fantastic series and you will want to get to know everyone properly! I really hope there is more coming our way soon!

This is the first Paranormal book I have read by this author and to say I am hooked would be an understatement. I will say though, if you aren’t a huge Paranormal fan, don’t worry, I still believe you will absolutely love this series because while the story is about a Werewolf pack at it’s core it’s truly a romance about a man and a woman torn apart by the lies and deception of others.
Derek and Annabelle meet at a young age at school and soon become inseparable with Derek knowing Anna is his fated mate. Lies and deception from others tear them apart for many years until Anna returns to town to deal with her dying father. They are both forced to face the past, find the truth of what really happened and deal with the outcomes.
I just have to mention Spencer, Annas bestie, He is a gem and total crack up. I’d love to see him have his story told one day and find his love with a big bad werewolf.

Neither of them are remotely interested in being in a relationship but that all changes once they meet and fall for each other. This is such a great paranormal read! Annabelle and Derek have known that they were fated mates from the time that they were teens. They quickly fell hard for each other but when Annabelle’s parents split she moved away. As much as they planned to stay together, outside forces were conspiring to keep them apart and it worked. Both of them are left miserable without the other and unable to stop thinking about the other. Fate brings them back together and it’s their chance to right the mistakes of the past, if they can set their pride aside and really communicate with each other. A book that did not disappoint. It Just Comes Natural hits on every expectation going in. As I continue to read this series, I am beginning to enjoy this author more and more. This book, though part of a series, could very well be read as a stand-alone story. Though all 3 books in this series have overlapping points, each one focuses on different characters. So it takes nothing away.
Macy and Brandon met on a one off right before he shipped out for 5 years to serve his country. living with the separation from his mate for the last 5 years and not knowing where she is has been awful for Brandon. Little does he know she’s closer than he thinks and there’s a big surprise as well.
When Macy realized Brandon was her mate that she ran from, he was gone. Left alone with the pain but also a surprise, Miranda. A firecracker of a child that put Brandon Quarter’s antics to shame. Never realizing that’s her Brandon.
You will learn to really love these characters and really want more as you read this series. So do it already!

Well I gave this author another chance and I actually really liked this one. I would actually rate it 4.5 if I could! Call of the Alpha is a story that one can relate too, well minus the werewolf part… lol
Mason and Rylie are two characters, who are wonderfully written. I enjoyed how the growth of each one of them was presented, especially Mason. Then introduce Mason’s son Archer and it brings a whole different dynamic to the relationship between the 3 characters. Archer was definitely 5 going on 25 it seemed based on how he was written. He was such a grown little dude, so mature especially when being raised his whole life by a single father. You will love these characters and you will want to know what Mason is going to do as well!
I did enjoy how it overlapped with book 1 in this series. Everything going on at the same time was definitely different. I also liked how it set up book 3. I would assume that also will have that overlapping feel to it. I might just have to check it out.

A Second Chance (The Powder River Pack #1)A Second Chance by Brooke May
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So, these types of books are usually my thing, but A Second Chance didn’t quite fit the bill. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t hate it. It was alright, just not a favorite. It started off slow, with lots of hard headed-ness from the main two characters.
Derek, watched his mate leave when he was 16, not only did he lose his wolf but he lost himself. Annabelle always pined for Derek if she’s willing to admit it or not. These two are so stubborn it’s frustrating at times.
The one thing I did love was Spence, Annabelle’s best friend and right hand when it comes to work. His flamboyance definitely lifted up a rather dull story for me. He helped lighten up the two main characters which helped me start to come around as I continued the story.
The author gives me slight intrigue, because of the well written supporting character. I intend to look into other written works to see how they are.

Brandon and Macy are each out for a night of fun when they meet and sparks fly. Although they may be fated mates, they each have their own lives that make things complicated. Brandon is leaving for military duty and Macy has her own responsibilities. However, they do share one incredible night together.

Fast forward and Brandon has returned home since his military obligations are up…but he is determined to find the one that got away. However, when he finds Macy again, he is in for quite a surprise. Although they both feel the pull to be together, there are obstacles that they must overcome and issues they must work through first…and the author does not make it easy on them.

This was an enjoyable book. I enjoyed the strength that Macy showed as the story took its twists and turns. Brandon is a funny jokester but his sense of duty and responsibility shines through. Another good book in this series. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Book 3 starts with a bang as Brandon meets Mary, er, Macy, in a crowded bar in Billings, Montana. They are instantly drawn to each other, and spend an unforgettable night together, after which Brandon is shipped out on a 5-year tour in the military, and Macy is turned out of her home and starts a new one Fetterman with Mason’s pack. In a comedy of errors, Macy spends several years working in Mason’s bar without ever realizing that her mate belongs to the pack of her new family. Brandon returning home is a shocking revelation for them both – and Miranda too.
This latest book follows a similar arc as the others in this series. I found this duo to be a little harder to connect with than those in Book 2 for example, there seemed to be something a bit lacking in the depiction of their romance comparatively. A good novel though, and if you liked the others in this series, Book 3 will likely deliver for you as well.
