Enjoyable second chance romance
The 4th book in the Code if Honour Series is Chase and Angelica’s story. This is an entertaining and sweet second chance romance story told in dual POV. Angelica grows so much throughout the story and it was heartwarming to see. This can be read as a stand-alone but this author’s writing is awesome and the whole series is a worthy read. Recommend.

This is part of the Code of Honor series, focusing on Angelica and Chase. Although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone. This is a second chance romance which will make you fall in live with the characters and never wish to leave their world.

I really enjoy the way the author writes, it’s easy to follow and enhances the reading experience. The characters in particular are very well constructed. The emotions can be felt alongside them as you read, and the chemistry/tension is built as the story unfolds very well. Experiencing their torment with them and witnessing the character development is a pleasure and bring joy while reading.

I will be seeking out other books from this author because if this series in any indication of what awaits, I won’t be disappointed!

This is the second book in the Code of Honor series, focusing on Jody and Holt. This can be read as a standalone, however I recommend reading the first book.

Once again, the story was written wonderfully, I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline. The characters have been created in a way that showcases their vulnerabilities and trauma but allows you to accompany them in their development and their romance. You can’t help but root for the couple throughout.

I really felt for Jody in particular, her situation can’t have been easy, but she found the strength to remove herself and move forward with Holt’s assistance.

I look forward to the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the Code of Honor Series, focusing on Patience and Duke. A second chance romance between the two, both vastly different from who they used to be.

I really enjoyed this story, it was written wonderfully and flowed well creating an even more enjoyable reading experience. On top of the writing style, the author was able to create complex characters very well.
Patience and Duke aren’t the people they were before, they’ve both been through trauma, and this shows in the way they are written for example in their mannerisms. I enjoyed following the pair not only in their journeys in discovering themselves once again, but also in the way they navigate their possible relationship. The emotions are tangible, gripping and will leave you rooting for the couple throughout.

I will be looking out for more from this author.

This is the fourth book in the Code of Honor series and it is just as good as the others. The chemistry between the main characters is brilliant and I loved watching is grow as the book went on. The story fit them both so well added to the enjoyment.
This is an author I have become more and more familiar with and I have enjoyed each book I have read. This whole series is the perfect example as to why I will always read her books. This book was a great addition to the series.

This is the third book in the Code of Honor Series. Like the others, it functions as a standalone. However, I definitely recommend reading all of them as Brooke May has a fantastic writing style and does a fantastic job with her characters. Also, the main characters in each book are minor characters in the other books which gives you some insight into how they will behave in their book. This book is Chase’s Story. I was anxiously awaiting Chase’s story ever since he was the uncomfortable driver of Patience after her and Duke had their night together. Chase has literally never had a relationship with anyone. Sure he has been with many girls but he’s never met one that made him want to get to know her better. That is until he meets Angelica. Angelica is a teacher who definitely wasn’t expecting anything from Chase, well she honestly wasn’t expecting Chase at all. Brooke May does a fantastic job writing both Chase and Angelica, as characters, you can see that they have been through a lot and yet they both had a lot of growing up to do. I definitely think that the most growth in this story was seen with Chase who thought the military had him ready for anything. I definitely recommend this story as well as the rest of the Code of Honor Series. Brooke May does a fantastic job with all of her characters and the plots of the series itself are amazing. I definitely feel like they are quick easy romances that you can read on a rainy day. I love her writing style and cannot wait for more!

This is the second book in the Code of Honor series. This definitely functions as a standalone but I recommend reading the first book (Courage of Us) first, as the characters in this book are mentioned in the first book and it really just gives you a feel for the town of Centennial, Montana where they were all born and raised.
This book features Jody and Holt. Holt is one of the main group that was introduced in the first group. He was a member of the Air Force and has no plans to settle down. Jody lives in the shadow of her sister who is a famous musician. Jody and Holt happen to meet at a bar and at the first touch they know that one night isn’t going to be enough.
Once again, Brooke may writes amazing characters with amazing chemistry. Their dialogue is absolutely enchanting. I am absolutely loving this series and I cannot wait to see how she continues to develop the city of Centennial and this group of characters! I definitely recommend this series and this book specifically!

Courage of Us

This is the first book in the Code of Honor Series and it definitely won’t be my last. The two main Characters are Patience and Duke who have been life long friends who happen to have spent one night together as teenagers. This story focuses on how they choose to pick up the pieces following their night. I truly loved how the author wrote these two characters as she showed the shift in their friendship very well as well as how they both chose to go forward in their friendship. The book takes place several years later and contains many twists and turns that I did not see coming. Truthfully, I could barely put this book down when I was reading it and managed to read it within two days. Patience was such an amazing character to me and I feel that she embodies that saying that I find myself uttering quite often. About how a frog doesn’t know its being cooked because they slowly bring the water to a boil around it, I feel like that describes how she feels when she looks at her life around her. I love how she feels that she needs to take a stand to regain herself as she remembers herself. Duke was also a very well written character. I loved how they both suffered from a broken heart. I loved this story and I loved these characters. I cannot wait to read more of the Code of Honor series and learn more about the people of Centennial, Montana. I definitely recommend this story as it was simply perfect in my opinion.

Regaining IntegrityRegaining Integrity by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Regaining Integrity is Book Four of the Code of Honor Series. It can easily be read as a standalone but after reading this book I know that I will be going back and reading the first books in the series. The story is told from the POV of the two main characters, Angelica, and Chase. The two first met in high school but because Angelica Reece was a math nerd, she went unnoticed by almost everyone, unless she was being targeted by the school bully, Cera. The hottest boy in school was Chase Thorne and everyone knew it, including Chase, who used it to his advantage to sleep with every girl in his high school class. Cera was Chase’s high school girlfriend and she tormented Angelica every chance she could. Angelica had a crush on Chase in high school, but he never paid any attention to her. That is, until one day when he did something so horrible to her that it made Angelica the laughing stock of the school and ruined her senior year in high school. After that she swore that she wanted nothing to do with Chase ever again.

Fast forward several years and Angelica has flourished from a nerdy wallflower into a stunning young woman. She is strong, feisty, courageous, determined, smart, and fiercely independent. Angelica now teaches math at the local school and Chase Thorne’s nephew Ridge is one of her students. When Chase returns to town Ridge tells his uncle that he has a crush on his teacher so of course Chase needs to meet her. At first sight of Angelica, Chase goes ga-ga for her and becomes determined to date her. He does not recall meeting her before, does not remember her from high school, and certainly has no recollection of the horrid way he treated her. Unlike Chase, Angelica has not forgotten what he did to her and refuses to fall for Chase’s charm when he pours it on thick. She also refuses to admit that she is attracted to Chase as much as he is attracted to her.

This was one of the best second-chance romance books that I have read in a long time. The story flowed beautifully, the dialogue was realistic and natural, and the characters were engaging. I loved to watch how Angelica flourished from a geeky math nerd in high school into a strong, independent woman who exuded confidence. Chase was someone I wanted to smack a couple of times for being so dense, but I could also see that deep down he was genuinely a nice guy. I enjoyed watching his growth as a character and the sweet, sincere, kind, caring man that he became. The character of Cera was infuriating and man did I ever want to slap her a few times. She was cruel, bossy, and really needed to be put in her place. She was a bully in every sense of the word, and I was happy to see that both Angelica and Chase stood up to her on separate occasions. This book had drama, suspense, teen angst, bullying, romance, passion, chemistry, and love. I highly recommend this book!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in the Code of Honour Series. It can be read as a standalone, however I will be going back to read the others as I enjoyed this one. The author does a great job with these characters. I love seeing the growth of Angelica from the shy nerdy school girl into a woman who is strong and determined. She has her walls around her to protect her and those walls don’t let just anyone in and they aren’t easy to get through as Chase finds out.

Chase was your typical popular boy at school. He saw women as nothing more that entertainment for one night. He never gave Angelica a thought in that way only ever noticing her when he wanted help with his work. So when he returns home and meets his nephews teacher he sees the woman that Angelica has become. She is everything he never knew he wanted.
However Angelica isn’t prepared to give in so easily no matter how attracted to him she is. Can he work hard to break her walls and finally learn how to treat a women? Can Angelica let down her guard and risk letting him in?

This story is a second chance romance. The attraction and chemistry jumps and sizzles of the page and keeps you reading to find out what happens next.

This is the fourth book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series but they can be read as a standalone. This is a great series that you will enjoy reading for sure. I have enjoyed this author’s books from the first one I picked up and I am never let down. This book is no different. It is a well written story about second chances and what fate has planned for these two characters. I enjoyed watching the growth as well as the chemistry with these two. Their attraction heats up the pages and leaves you coming back for more. This is a fast paced romance story that is hard to put down. A story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

These two had me chuckling at the flirting, the sparks and the chemistry. He wants her. She wants him, but doesn’t. Ridge wants to have a crush on her. This is the sweetest romance and I still love the moments when Cera gets hers. A fun story where the tables turn, hearts shine and love is found. Characters are fantastic This is one of the best series out there in the romance genre. I love it when the author takes us back there. I can’t wait wait to return again. It has been a while since I have read one of Brooke’s books. I was excited when I saw this one as Brooke is one author that you just have to have the book.
Regaining Integrity is the captivating fourth book in the Code of Honor series. It could be read as stand-alone, but I recommend that you read them in order to get character backstories.
This military romance story is so easy to lose time as the pages turn.
Brooke’s writing style make the story flow well. My only complaint is once again that the story is too short. It is a steamy, sweet read and it will leave you wanting more as all of Brooke’s stories do because they are good.
The well-developed characters are beautifully written and feel real and it is easy to become invested in them.
I cannot wait to read what comes next.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I love small town romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the Morris Valley Gang series. I was so hooked on this storyline I could not stop reading. I devoured this book in a full day. I can’t wait to see which character she is going to write about next.

Brinley Moore made a pact to stay friends with her friends before she was forced to leave. She is now an adult and she is heading to the town that makes her feel safe. Brinley is home and she meets the very handsome cowboy Adrian Cook. She is intrigued by this guy but she is told that he is too busy for any relationship. Brinley can’t stop the connection she has so she goes for it. She is starting to feel like everything is working out until she finds out her stalker is more nearby than she thinks. Will Brinley and Adrian find what they have been looking for or will it all be too dangerous?

Right in Front of You: Volume One: Brinley & Adrian (Morris Valley Gang Book 1)

I am already in love with this group of characters and can’t wait for each and everyone to find their happiness, especially one in particular.

Brinley and Adrian were a perfect match from the beginning. Both are easy going and take pleasure in the simple things in life.

Their friends are a crazy bunch, but if you can’t let loose with all of your childhood friends there isn’t anyone you can truly relax around.

There was a little bit of everything in this book. Of course romance, suspense and a crazy old lady who I want to be like when I get older.

I’m hoping it isn’t just the younger characters who find love, I could see Adrian’s dad finding his happily ever after at some point.

I’m really excited to keep up with this series. I hope the next book is released soon.

Right in Front of You is the first book I’ve read by this author as well as the first book in the Morris Valley Gang series. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next! I love the opening of Brinley and her friends making a blood pact to stay best friends forever because it sets the tone for their relationships moving forward. Even though she moved away, she finds her way back in Morris Valley where she can hopefully feel more comfortable…unless trouble follows her. When Adrian Cook enters the picture, he has made it his one and only goal to make sure Brinley is protected at all costs. Does he feel something deeper for her or is it more of a big brother instinct? If you enjoy westerns and romance, you will love this wonderful book!

I loved this story so, so much! Every time I read a book by this author I know that I am in for a brilliant read and yet again she didn’t disappoint with this opener to her new series. Adrian …. What can I say about Adrian – he was just one of the best characters I’ve read about this year, I think I fell in love with him the very first moment I started reading about him. I love how he stepped up as soon as he though Brinley was in trouble. He’s definitely the type of person you want to protect you in a scary situation. I liked Brinley too, she was a really down to earth character who really just wanted a quiet life with her friends.
Overall I really loved this story and I’m exciting to read about more of the characters in the next story.

When her stalker comes to town things take a scary twist. Will Adrian be able to keep her safe? Will this bring them closer? My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this romance story. It is a very sweet small town romance which has an element of danger. It is the first in the Morris Valley Gang Series.I loved the characters and their development through the story. The author does an amazing job of making the characters likeable and relatable. The feelings and emotions of this story really come though and you can’t help be swept away along with Brinley and Adrian.

Brinley leaves her home town and her circle of friends behind as a kid when her parents move her to Texas. Since they she has worked hard and has become a successful shooter. Now however she feels its time to return home, back to her friends and the place she always felt safe in and hopefully away from a stalker. All she is hoping is to reunite with her friends and go back to a quiet life that is until Adrian walks into her life.

Adrian is a local rancher. Every since he got his heartbroken he keeps to himself working on his family ranch and not entertaining love until he meets Brinley.
As the connection grows what starts as a fling has the potential to become something more for them both, however danger is still lurking in the shadows and when Brinley’s stalker returns Brinley is in danger again.

Can Adrian protect Brinley from this danger? Will Brinley stay with him and her friends despite the danger or will she feel the need to run again and in doing so break Adrian’s heart.
The connection between Adrian and Brinley practically jumps off the page and their attraction is what captives the reader with the added danger this is definately a romance that you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait to read more.

We meet Brinley and Adrian in this story. The sharp shooter and the ranch man.
Brinley has a group of friends from when she was little and had to move away to Texas, who when she comes for a visit and escape, all jump on board to help her when she finds that her stalker followed her to town.
What she really doesn’t expect is Adrian. The instant spark and attraction. Adrian isnt expecting it either after he was hurt from an ex. He needs someone willing to accept him for who he is and how his lifestyle on the ranch is.
These 2 hit it off right away and while fast you could feel the passion and care they had for each other.
But when Brinley decides to draw out her stalker things don’t go to plan. I cannot wait to read more from this town and group of friends.

I adored this book as it follows Brinley returning home to lay low and hide from her stalker. This is where she meet cowboy Adrian who has lived in town since shortly after she moved away. This means they ended up having the same circle of friends but never meet until she returns. The attraction between them is clear from the beginning and IRight in Front of You, Morris Valley Gang Series, Brooke May, Review, Itsy Bitsy Book Bits, Western, Romance just thought Adrian was the sweetest thing. Brinley was a strong female character and I really liked her relationship with her friends as well. I am a sucker for the kind of books where the man needs to protect or rescue the female and I really appreciated that the stalker part and climax of this book was not too intense and brutal. It was just suspenseful enough to get the point across but not too intense that I was overwhelmed reading about what happens to her. This wrapped up so nicely and it is clear they were meant for each other and I just loved the way it all came together.

I must just start off by saying this is my favourite by far ! I’ve read a few of Brooke’s books but Brinley and Adrian are my favourite ❣️📚

Brinley lived in Morris Valley for a while and she had a tight friend group , they were more like sisters than friends but her family moved away and the youngsters promise to always be in contact and bless their hearts they do so it’s only natural for Brinley to head home , to her safety net when things with her stalker get a bit much …..

My first introduction to Adrian had me in stitches and reminds me of my own farmer husband who is allergic to coming into town and having to pay for coffee when the perfect cup can be brewed at home 🤣 doesn’t say much and isn’t a fan of change so I just fell in love with Adrian at first “ read” ❣️😉

Adrian is loved in his little town but he’s also known to be the grump and most want to set him up with a woman especially the older ladies , like Polly 🤣 but his friends also try with disastrous results like Delilah but again dearest Polly was his saving grace 🌸🤣🙈

Adrian is a hard worker and loves his family ranch with a passion , his dad and him live a rather quiet life until Brinley comes along and brightens it with her sunshine ❣️

Brinley is home to breathe and hide from her stalker but she’s also considering putting her Olympic Gold Medal for shooting to good use , if settling down in a small town, she can give proper gun training to folks or have an upgraded range , she has options but watching her find love was a gift❣️

Adrian let’s Brinley come and “ hide out “ on the farm and instead of a wallflower he gets someone that loves to work the land like he does and watching things unfold between was a real treat and if ever there was a perfect match it would be these 2 ❣️

Clover, Lexy , Lilly, Julia , Mina , Eliza are the best friends a girl could ask for and their bonds are unfailing , these friends made want to climb into my book and join in in their antics , fun , laughter , tears and life ❣️

Nash, Gage , Gentry and Beckett are good guys and real characters that keep and eye on Adrian so they’re all stoked when their friend friend finds his HEA

A read my heart needed ❣️📚

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Romance AND suspense… Say no more. This was an awesome book that hooked me and reeled me right in right until the very end. Stalking, and a romance that made me swoon with two main characters that were written in the heavens. I couldn’t even think of anything I didn’t enjoy. It was just good, all the way to the end! Grab it, read it, love it. Where Brooke May is concerned there are no disappointments!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is book one of the series. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author and as usual I wasn’t disappointed.

Brinley had to leave her friends behind and while they stayed as close as they could, time will tell as Brinley is moving back to Morris Valley. The only issue is, somewhere along the way she gained a stalker and now she’s realizing, maybe she needs some protection. Adrian is a rancher. It’s not what most people expect so when people find, namely woman, they don’t tend to stick around. Brinley isn’t most women. Adrian can already tell. She is a breath of fresh air he didn’t know he needed. Once he finds out that Brinley needs protection, he makes it his mission to make sure she’s safe. Is there more between these two than just keeping her safe?

I enjoyed this book. It was different than most I’ve read in terms of Brinley’s job. It was a refreshing change of pace. Adrian is a little alpha and very protective and I just love a protective hero. This was a good read!!

Brindley has known her path in life from the beginning, from the army to the Olympics and a gold medal winner but now she feels like she is drifting not really knowing what she wants to do or were to live, but when she receives another message from her stalker, she is drawn straight back to where is comfortable with friends, Morris Valley.

Adrian has responsibilities ever since he chooses to live with his dad on the ranch at 14, he has been drawn to this little town, but over the years it has been changing and he feels like he is becoming a grumpy old rancher with not many prospects, until his friends decide he needs a girlfriend and what harm can that be?
As his friends start setting him up with girls, he starts to think this is an endless task until one night in walks Brindley and changes his mind forever.

This is not the first book I have read by this author, and this will not be the last. I love the way the author has the ability to create characters are relatable to and that you feel you are their best friends, and you are involved within the story. Brindley’s character is so relatable and the interaction between her friends is just great to read. Adrian’s character as the brooding rancher was a great opposite to Brindley’s character and the chemistry was off the page.

I thought the story was well written and the twists and turns in the story added to the romance and building up of the relationship between the two of them. I can’t wait to read more in this series and get to see things develop for all the characters in this book, especially Clover I hope she gets a happy ever after.
