I really enjoyed this romance. Its a story full of twists and turns which keeps me hooked. The author does an amazing job with the characters and really brings them to life. I love how Luke is really independent and wants to do things her own way. And i love how fierce and protective Nikolai is.

Luke and Nikolai have had an intimate past. But when a Luke calls it off Nikolai isn’t ready to let her go so easily. Luke moves forward living her life the way she chooses with no thought for anyone. Meanwhile Nikolai keeps an eye on her from a distance.

When Luke witnessed an event that puts her in danger Nikolai is right there to protect her and keep her safe, but Luke isn’t going to give up without a fight. She’s not so sure she wants to be back with a man like Nikolai even if it keeps her safe

This story is a dark Mafia Romance. There’s is chemistry and lots of push and pull as both out characters fight for what they want. Will it be each other?

This book was ok for me. I’m not really into dark mafia so I had a had time engaging in the plot. I did like the chemistry between Luke and Nikolai. The Russian also made it a little hard for me to stay engaged too. I did like the different POV of the story.

Hit on You by Brooke May. This is a great mafia romance which I love. I love this author as well. This is the story of Luke whose biggest fear is ending up like her mom and thinking she always has to have a man. She wants to be completely independent. When she meets Nikolai Bazhenov, a made man, she knows he is dangerous but thinks one time won’t hurt. Problem is Nikolai won’t let her go. He can’t stop thinking about her. When she witnesses something that she stumbled onto she has to call Nikolai to help her out of the situation. Nikolai doesn’t realize that Luke is also running from someone in her past and has more than one target on her back. Will Nikolai be able to save her? Read this dark mafia romance to find out.

This book is hitting me in all the areas that I need from a great mafia book. The main character is a very strong willed and determined female. I love the fact that her name is Luke. She is wanting to be in control of her own life and doesn’t want to feel like she needs to answer to anyone for what she wants in life. Her only downfall (as she sees it) is who she loves. He is dark and mysterious and everything that she feels she doesn’t need in life. It is one of those instances when you know what you want but feel that it isn’t good for you. This causes some tension with the main characters. It is a constant back and forth with them. Each page will have you wondering if they can overcome the issues that are in front of them? Will they be able to see how good they can be together? Will his position really strangle the freedom that she is craving? Those were the things that I constantly asked myself the whole time reading this book and what kept me turning the pages. It is a very steamy dark romance and I ate it up. It has everything from danger to angry love. This book won’t disappoint if you are a regular mafia romance reader. If you haven’t read that genre before be prepared for a steamy bumpy ride. It will be well worth it.

When I say this book is good! From the first chapter I loved it. At times I had to go get a drink of water. She writes it in the way we go back and forth between two POV’s. I love that I can genuinely get to know both of them because of this. The connection between the two characters is just electrifying. A mix of hate, love, and lust with two very strong willed people is something to look forward to turning every page.

Hit on You really does a good job at keeping me on the edge of my seat because it really kept me kinda guessing what was gonna happen next. Was I going to hot and bothered, scared, angry, or left wondering why? The characters are greatly described to the point I really could sit, see, and feel every emotion, every word, and every touch. This is a great piece of work and I would love to see what more great books Ms. May will write.

I enjoy Mafia romances! This was my first taste of Russian Mafia romance. Hit on You was good. I enjoyed it enough that I didn’t want to put it down. I’ve read this author before and she did not disappoint with this one. This author is creative and thorough so you know everything that’s going on. Not one to confuse because info is overlooked. She sucks the reader in. gets you invested in her characters. Which is what makes her good at her craft.
Luke and Nikolai are two people from different walks of life who happen to cross paths. However that path now has them forever connected, even if Luke isn’t aware. She runs away from Nikolai a year earlier when he uses the “L” word. Little did she know he knew where she was and kept tabs on her ever since. And when she becomes a witness to an unexpected incident gives him the opportunity to swoop back in.
Nikolai is a made man in his Seattle family. Doing everything his uncle asks of him, while his cousin does what he wants. But despite all that his wants for the one who got away never cease. It’s when protection is needed, does he jump on the opportunity to come back into her life. Protection that he may need to give against someone of his very own. He just doesn’t know who.
Who would be that careless? And is it connected to his sister’s death? Those are the questions he needs to answer.
Love, lust, anger, stubbornness, happiness, sadness, devastation this book has it all. I wanted to read more about these characters, I didn’t want it to end.

This book pulled me in right from the get go and I couldn’t put it down even once. Luke is a character I think a lot of people can relate with and she definitely is a character people will remember. Nikolai is a wonderful match for Luke and they definitely have a chemistry that leaps off the pages. There’s romance, suspense and much more to love about this story. I found myself trying to read slower just to make it last longer but unfortunately I was too excited to read the next page. It’s well written and has great characters. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Luke and Nikolai were a couple until one
Night Luke tan and never looked back. She is such a strong character and I loved that about this book. Nikolai however, knew where alike was all along but was giving her the space she needed. One night when Luke is leaving work she ends up hearing / seeing something tragic and she freezes. Now someone is out to get her but, who could it be? Nikolai makes his presence known to her and vows to protect her at all costs. His mafia connections and alpha tendencies help him almost always get what he wants. He wants Lu and doesn’t plan to
Let her go after the truth is revealed. Will
Nikolai be able to keep Lu safe? Will Lu take Nikolai back after running from him and never looking back? This was a fairly good read by an amazing author!

Luke Williams is a woman who knows what she wants. She had to make a life for herself outside of her family’s past. She knows who she does and does not want to be.
Nikolai is a powerful, protective and oozes sexy.
After Luke leaves him, he opts to give her space but keeps a close eye on her. After a terrifying even, Nikolai swoops right back into her life to protect her. Luke isn’t quite sure she’s ready to let him back in.

Dark mafia romance full of secrets, chemistry, and suspense!

I do wish with all the Russian language we had some type of glossary on how to pronounce each of them.

This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. These two definitely turn up the heat in this book. Luke is very independent until something happens and she needs help. Nikolai plans to protect Luke and prove his love to her. The author does a great job with her writing, I was done before I knew it. This book is such an amazing read. It will have you reaching for a fan and some water. The author does an amazing job of developing each character and there is a lot of growth throughout the book.

This book focus’ on Luke and what is happening in her life. She is a woman that is so independent that she does not know how to ask for help. Then there is Nikolai the dark man from a made family. Both of them are extremely stubborn and stuck in their ways. Can something come from someone whose main instinct is to run away?

What happens when a stubborn woman meets a made man? Will she crumble beneath his feet or will she push him to his breaking point? Can you forgive someone for leaving you time and time again?

Read this amazing book to find out. Seriously though have a nice bottle of cool water right next to you.

Every book I have read by this author has impressed me and this one was no different! This was also special as it is her 30th book to be published, so I was happy to be one of the first people to read it!

This dark romance was a quick read for me, a stand-alone novel that focuses on Luke and Nikolai. I love how Luke is determined to prove herself, as well as her ‘strong, independent’ woman complex. Her chemistry with Nikolai is tangible to anyone reading the story as well, which is something I love about the book. I definitely enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by the author!

Brooke May created this romance with the Russian Bratva finding Luke. Luke hates her name and doesn’t want to end up like her mother. Growing up her mother was always looking for a man to support her, leaving Luke to take care of her sister. When her sister follows in her mother’s footsteps, Luke ends up in Las Vegas with Nikolai Bazhenov. When she begins getting feelings for him, Luke flees and goes to Seattle. She gets a job as a burlesque dancer and lives in a studio apartment above a bar run by her friend, Tony. As Luke is leaving work, she unwittingly witnesses the murder of her boss Eryn. Now someone else has a target on Luke’s back. Tony tells her she needs security, and walks to Nikolai. Shocked, Luke can’t believe the man that she ran away from has found her.

Nikolai was a very secretive man throughout the entire book. The story alternates between the views of both characters and his lifestyle gives the perfect background for finding people. I thought his family was very supportive of his obsession with Luke. It appears that the Bratva puts family first. The thirst for power seems to be the predominant reason for the death of Eryn and Luke’s life is on the line, but not in a manner one would expect. The unpredictable elements added into this book makes Hit On You more than just a steamy romance novel.

Luke Willaims is a woman who knows what she wants to do, even if sometimes it is hard. Luke has been intimately involved with Nikolai Bazhenov, but she decides she needs space. Nikolai keeps tabs on Luke and allows her to have her space, but he is not giving her up. That all changes though when she sees something she was not meant to see. Nickolai is back by her side but Luke is trying her best to push him away. Will Luke finally give into what her heart truly wants?

I really enjoyed this one. Complex story that had several twists that kept me guessing. Nickolai oozes power and charisma. Chemistry is off the charts. Great story.

Another fantastic book from this author! I really love her writing style and have enjoyed many of her books and love how versatile she is when writing. This book was a brilliant read, I really enjoyed it. I love a good dark romance and this one definitely delivered on that front! I absolutely loved Lu and Nikolai! Lu was a wonderful, independent female lead but she also still had that small amount of vulnerability to make her need someone in her life. Nikolai was a strong male lead but again he had this side to him that wasn’t overpowering and he realised that he needed to let Lu have her independence but be there when she needed him. there was so much chemistry between the two of them and the author really made this come alive in the story!
Overall a fantastic dark romance and one that I would highly recommend!

What a brilliant dark romance by an author who never fails to impress. I never know what I am going to get when I pick up one of her books as she has done such an amazing job at making sure they are all different.
For me, this book had a real intensity about it that I hadn’t been expecting. It drew me into the characters and the story going on around them. I found that this book lingered with me when I wasn’t reading it. I kept thinking about what might happen and found myself making excuses to be able to pick the book up again.
This author really does know how to write an amazing book. This has strong characters and a great plot to support them. This book is definitely worth your time!

Luke is a determined, independent woman who has struggled through life and had to look after herself from a young age, until she met Nikolai. He has the power to see through the layers she has built up into her heart but when he declares his love to her, she bolts and runs away from his declaration as she is falling also but is scared to love him back.

Nikolai is deadly, powerful, and not someone to mess with, part of the biggest Mafia family his reputation proceeds him but when he met Lu his world has been spinning off the axis. One night when he strikes up the courage to put his feelings out on the table, she slips away.

Lu has moved on with her life until one night she witnesses something to put her in danger but who comes in like a knight, but Nikolai and he is not going to let her go this time.

This is not the first book I have read by this author and all her books are brilliant and full of thrilling intrigue and twists. Luke or Lu as she likes to be called is a strong independent woman who has looked after herself for years, but I loved the way the character of Nikolai is strong enough to let her have her space but demands the alpha male when needed. The story is fast paced and will have you at the edge of your seat.

The chemistry between the two main characters comes of the pages in waves and the intermit scenes are full of steam and passion. I really enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read more in the future.

Hit On You by Brooke May is her first dark romance- a contemporary romantic suspense with danger, intrigue, chemistry, sizzle, drama, emotion, tension, intensity, and intrigue. This is s standalone story that had me completely invested right from the get-go.
As I have mentioned before, Brooke May has a real talent for crafting captivating stories that pull you in and keep you hooked. As her first dark romance I thought she nailed the tension and suspense while still casting interesting, likeable, completely developed characters who have their own unique personalities, quirks, and flaws. It was so easy to connect with them and invest in their story.
I started reading this book just before bedtime, thinking I would read a few chapters as a wind-down before bed…..But, instead, I ended up reading well past my bedtime, hooked by the story, reading avidly just so I could find out how it all played out in the end.
Looking forward to more dark romance from Ms. May!

This is an author that I have loved reading from the first book and I never hesitate to pick up. Her books are hot romance with characters that pop off the pages. I enjoyed reading this new book by this author. It is a hot romance story that is fast paced and hard to put down. Luke and Nikolai are such great characters. They have strong, great chemistry and growth throughout the story. I enjoyed how they pulled me into the story and made me feel as if I was part of the story. They had me hoping that they would find their happiness. A story where one night changes everything. There is also a suspense part of the story that is added to the plot. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

The story of Luke and Nickolai is one of the best love stories I’ve ever read. I kept wanting to read more and lost sleep reading this one. Watching how they both processed the past baggage of their relationship was absolutely fascinating. But also watching the trepidation with which they approached one another was amazing. I loved the character of Luke. I thought that she definitely was someone with a past that they were trying to hide. Nickolai was complex in his own way. I definitely recommend reading this one!

Hit on You is Brooke’s thirtieth book so she is doing something right, well done Brooke on the mile stone. The one thing I like about Brooke May is her diversity of story styles. She is predominately a romance author but they come in many shapes and sizes and don’t always conform to the norm.
I love a good dark romance and Hit on You is exactly that. It is right up my alley. Hit on You is a standalone and one you will enjoy. I was pulled into the delicious darkness, the drama, the angst and the danger that unfolded.
I was totally engaged throughout and I enjoyed the push pull between Luke and Nikolai and the sometimes love hate relationship with the sizzling chemistry. The two are passionate and stubborn. The past rears its ugly head and may just be the catalyst that has deadly consequences.
I am not giving away any spoilers because you need to unwrap this story for yourself so if you like something dark, something sexy, something dangerous then Hit on You is something you need to read.

I look forward to Brooke giving us more stories like this one.

This book gives us the story of Luke and Nikolai. These two very strong willed characters have a powerful connection and as soon as Nikolai mentions love Luke runs. He doesn’t give up on her though, watching her from a distance. When Luke witnesses something terrifying and it puts her life in danger Nikolai can no longer stay away and insists on protecting her. Luke on the other hand is determined to never rely on a man so with all this happening it makes for some very interesting times for them both. With danger all around them can they stay safe and allow the love they do truly have for each other become a strong unbreakable bond. You need to read this wonderful book to find out!

When Luke finds herself in a dangerous situation, she has to give in to her stubbornness and trust the same man she left a year prior.
These characters have a lot to offer each other if they can reconcile their past histories. This novel is full of steamy romance, dark situations and it was truly and enjoyable read.

This story follows Luke, a strong, independent woman whose fear of love lands her back in Seattle in a dangerous position, and Nikolai, member of Seattle’s biggest mafia family with a sole purpose of protecting Luke to show her how he feels about her. I recommend this book because, whilst this story is still in the editing process, it has so much potential; the storyline is gripping, the characters are strong – I particularly love Luke’s character, a woman who is independent and does not rely on men, but also a woman who loves her makeup and nice clothes and high heels and feeling sexy – the book is steamy, and I am a sucker for a happy ending. I’m looking forward to reading more of Brooke May and watching her grow in the industry. “You’ve been mine from the first glance.”

Man, this is an intense book. Dark mafia and it turned great. This was the first for this author and I’m a fan. I hope she’ll do more. Luke and Nik’s story is powerful and a true story to love and letting those walls down. They both have intense issues. Can Luke let hers down to claim that love? Powerfully written, you are pulled write in from the beginning. Luke is tough and vulnerable when she feels safe enough to let her guard down. The plot of the story was amazing and so well-done. I would love to see move of these characters. Definitely a story I would recommend.

Just loving these fun covers !

I can only imagine how tough it is to help others find love , sometimes it leaves scars because people are so bitter and jaded and not every story has a HEA ….

Robert hasn’t had it easy and he’s the definition of ice king but his daughter seems to have a way of getting through to the bit of light in his darkness🥰

Alice is a real sweetheart and I’m so grateful she manages to touch her daddy’s heart, it feels like she’s helping him hold on to his humanity

Faida had her work cut out for her with this assignment and there were a few occasions where I would’ve walked away but nope Faida preserved , you go girl ! Love you to bits 🥰

I enjoyed reading this romance story. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have enjoyed reading her books from the first one I picked up. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her writing skills and her ability to pull me into her stories. This book is no different. This is a well written story about giving love another chance. The characters are written with a lot of heart and soul. They have great chemistry and growth throughout the story which made the story easy to read. I found them to be relatable and had no problems picturing myself in their world. This is a fast paced, engaging story that is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Faida has seen a lot with the assignments she has been assigned. So now she is skeptical of love because of what she has witnessed. With Robert being her assignment it could be just what she needs. Robert has been hurt and is real closed off. The only exception is his daughter Alice. So since Robert loves Alice so much. Faida has faith he Robert can love someone else.
