Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is the second book in the series and a brilliant follow up to book 1. It took no time at all to fall completely back in with these characters. The relationships that had been built in book one have easily continued on into this book.
I was so glad to find it is the same person narration the story too. The enthusiasm and excitement that she evokes with her narration is just amazing. I definitely think I enjoyed it even more thanks to that. I love the mix of supernatural and natural in this series, it has been done in such a believable way. This is a brilliant series and I cannot wait for the next book.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire series by C.L. Schneider. This series should be listened to in order because there was so much background information that the story will be better understood. Plus the first book was wonderful and you wouldn’t want to miss out. The story continues with Dahlia Nite and Alex Creed investigating a mysterious illness plaguing the city. This story is full of action and suspense and will leave you on the edge of your seat as they try to solve the mystery. The characters are very well developed and the story flows well. I highly recommend this book series and author, especially if you love paranormal.
This, like the first book, is narrated by Cassandra King. She really brings the characters to life. Her voice is easy on the ears, and I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.
Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is the second installment of Nite Fire series. Although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first it was still a riveting story. There was a lot going on in this book that made it hard to follow at times but once all the dots connected it was an “ahhh” moment. I enjoyed that Dalia can now settle down and has people that she connects to. It made her more personable and cheering for her to solve the mystery. the end of the book left the series open and I am excited to listen to the next installment.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider 4 Stars!!!!
How do you make a book even better? Simple you create the audio version. I love being able to be able to listen to my favorite books and keep up with my tasks. This is a action packed story and kept my attention. The characters seem to jump right out of the phone and right into my vivid imagination.
I have also read this author so this is a good way to continue my enjoyment of her books. I love this series as it is a nice balance of supernatural and intrigue. I really like how the author brings her book to a new life with a great narrator. I will definitely be getting more.
This audio was a very good .. and I continue to love Dahlia’s strong character. This time around Dahlia and her detective partner are investigating a mystery of deaths. Mystery and twists along the way… will Dahlia be able to find out what is causing these deaths? Definitely check this book out. I enjoy the paranormal style of this series and looking forward to book 3! Great Narrator!

This was a first for me. I haven’t ever listened to an Audio book, but I am so glad that I did!! This book was awesome!! If you like shapeshifting fantasies, suspenseful adventures, and thrilling crime dramas this one is for you!! Dahlia Nite is a shapeshifter who runs from her own execution into the human world. Trying to keep her world a secret, she helps protect the human world from what lurks in the dark shadows. A string of gruesome murders puts everything at risk and she must find who’s to blame before her world and herself are exposed. This book had me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what would happen next. I would defiantly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read/listen to the rest of the set!!

In Chain Reaction, we’re taken even deeper into the world of the supernatural, and the singular mystery from before blooms into something even more intriguing. Tensions are high after the events of the Flash Point, loyalties are tested, plots are uncovered, the question of romance is in the air, and, best of all, Dahlia Nite is on the case with her trusty and hilarious sidekick. I’ve read many sequels that are never as good as the first book, either the characters begin to fall flat or the plot does – this one was not one of them. This was one of those books you just can’t put down. Well-written, full of winding twists and turns you’ll never see coming, and lots and lots of wit, if you liked Flash Point you’ll love Chain Reaction!

“Flash Point” is a story about Dahlia Nite, a shape-shifting woman from another world, who just wants to find a place she belongs. After being exiled from her home, she has come to Earth to help protect the humans from evil that comes from her old home. After gruesome murders begin to occur, she tries to hide the truth from the humans, while working alongside them to get redemption for the lost souls.
Personally, this book was hard for me to listen to in certain areas because of the descriptiveness of the demented crime scenes. However, other than that, this book was amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat at all times. The character building is strong and always has you switching which romance to root for. The world building present in this book is phenomenal! I recommend it to anyone who can stomach some crazy crime scenes, likes suspense and piecing scenarios together, and really enjoys fantasy worlds mixing with ours.

This is the second audible I have listened to in this series. This series can be listened to as a standalone but I highly suggest the first audible as well, just as awesome. This is a story that has creative characters and an easy flowing story line. I enjoyed how the narrator brought the story to life with the tones of voice. They made me want to keep listening and wanting more. They took me on a journey of twists and turns. This is an easy flowing story that keeps the story engaging. I highly recommend this audible. It is definitely worth listening to. Find out what will happen to Dahlia next.

This audio book had a great narrator. She had a way of bringing you into the story. I really enjoyed this book.
Murders are piling up and are starting to gain a focus. Dahlia is the main character and has a sarcastic attitude and takes no crap from anyone. I love that no nonsense attitude in the main character. She is able to feel the ghosts of the dead as well as the trauma of the living. She is trying to crack the case of who is doing these murders. She knows it is one of her kind. She is supposed to be making sure the human police do not find out about her species. The story takes on so many twists and turns you are not left bored at any time. I would recommend this audio book to anyone who loves the paranormal mixed with a suspenseful murder mystery.

Nite Fire: Flashpoint by C.L. Schneider was a captivating tale of a young girl, Dahlia Nite, who having escaped execution, now helps to solve crimes in the human realm and protect her people from being revealed. Flashpoint follows her exciting tale as she solves brutal murders that point to much more sinister things. Flashpoint is captivating and wants to keep you listening. I felt the characters pain, love, and happiness. I found myself rooting for her and felt the shock and surprise she felt. the end left me wanting more and cannot wait for the next book in the series.

This is a very good audio. If you like dangers, dragons, mystery with a strong female character this is for you! I loved Dahlia’s snappy no nonsense attitude. She is quite bad azz! When Dahlia escapes her own execution and flees her home, she lives then among the human population. There are murders in Sentinal City and she tries to help solve them while not revealing whom she is. Love the mystery and twists in this story. The narrator is fantastic in this audio!

This story is about someone who has had to leave their home to protect their safety but when things lead back to home, things may never be the same again. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her imagination in her books. They are fun and entertaining. Listening to this just made the story all the more fun. Flash Point: Nite Fire Volume I Audio book by C.L. Schneider is an exciting and detailed fantasy story that I was pulled into from the start. The opening chapter of this book was so well done, I knew I wouldn’t be able to leave this book without finding out what was going to happen.
Ilove all the myriad of characters, it made the book so diverse. And the blending of fantasy and reality was done effortlessly.
The narrator for this book has to be my favourite by far! The enthusiasm and passion that went into her telling of the story was just amazing. I think even if the book hadn’t been exciting she would have made it so.
Everything about this book is absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to start the second.

If anyone can tell the difference between monsters and humans, it’s Dahlia Nite. For nearly a century, she’s hunted one to protect the other; safeguarding humanity from the creatures that slip through the torn veil between the worlds—creatures like her. But the lines are blurring. As people begin mutating and combusting on the streets, Dahlia realizes a strange affliction has descended upon Sentinel City. The mysterious ailment strikes all walks of life, from the posh, high-end nightclub district to the homeless community. Its victims, driven to random acts of savagery, are drawing attention too fast to cover up.
Assigned to the case, Dahlia and her human partner, Detective Alex Creed, investigate the deaths. But all they have are questions and bodies, and a public on the verge of panic. Working behind the scenes with her self-appointed sidekick, Casey Evans, Dahlia struggles to discover what, or who, is behind the alarming transformations. As the violence spreads and the mystery unfolds, she wonders: are the victims still human? Were they ever?

I’ve been looking for my next serial obsession, and I think I just found it! Nite Fire: Flash Point took me on a roller coaster ride through a new world and mystery. Dahlia Nite, hiding from her own race, now lives in the human world as a protector of sorts. A new murder has her attention, providing pieces to a puzzle Dahlia never saw coming, and brings up even more questions that she had never ventured to ask. As the world of this new series begins to take shape and readers are drawn deeper into the life of Dahlia Nite, you’ll be led deep into the mystery surrounding and threatening the existence of more than just one race. Nite Fire: Flash Point will take you down the rabbit hole and out the other side to what I’m hoping will be a just as exciting and riveting ride into the next book.

This book was better than the second and third! I definitely didn’t see a lot of the things coming that happened. What happens after you rescue your best friend/sidekick’s sister and barely survive the last visit Drimera? Well for Dahlia instead of things going up things go down. She finds out the truth about someone she has known for a very long time and even considered him a mentor. But what do you do with the information? What do you when you find someone who is close with your partner but they believe him to be dead? What do you do when the sister you just rescued willing goes back to Drimera with Aidric and Alex Creed? And to top it all off all hell breaks loose on their world. Welcome to the apocalypse! This book had me hooked with every twist and turn. I’m so glad I stuck with series and if there is a 5th book I will be reading.

Drowning in missing creatures, slaughtered remains, masked men – and the search for her best friend/sidekick’s missing sister. Seeking answers, she uses her empathic abilities and uncovers something deeper and more threatening than a simple serial killer’s web. As the dots connect and worlds collide, she struggles to shield her friends from the truth. But secrets can be deadly. And Dahlia’s not the only one who keeps them.

Chain Reaction is book 2 in a four book series. I won’t lie there were moments that it dragged on and I couldn’t hold my attention; but I am so happy I stuck it out. We pick up where we left in book one, strange things are happening at an alarming rate. The only person (human) that knows Dahlia secret is her best friend and cop Casey Evans, it wasn’t part of her plan for him to know but now that he does, he is more than happy to be Dahlia sidekick. But has things get worse and Oren isn’t always helpful she is leaning on Casey a lot for help. But he isn’t the only one wanting to protect and help Dahlia, Coen(s) wants to help her and he stays loyal to his word. Her and Reech reach an understanding because they have a common enemy. As a drug, Chrysalis is going through the city causes death and mutation. But as an elder takes on a very powerful person’s identity. Dahlia has to put a stop to it but it always mean letting her partner Detective Alex Creed in our her secret partly because him not knowing would put him in more danger than knowing. But as one her biggest fights comes, can she and does she have what it takes on an elder? Dahlia Nite may only be part human but she finding out new things about herself and she is stronger than she thinks IF she uses it correctly.

This is the first book in the Nite Fire series. It started out kind of slow but keep up with it, I promise it is worth it.

She is exiled from her world, it had been 97 years since she made her escape. She is hiding, or at she is trying to hide. Coming back to the small town even though she had lived there previously can be risky. She is recognized by one human, he believes her to be a vampire and she hasn’t done anything to deter his thinking, the less he knows the better. But when she is put on a case involving fire she knows it was Lyrikken involved, but she doesn’t know why and why so many lives. I see this series as one of the wildest rides of my reading life. And now, as we tunnel below what we thought was rock bottom, the city is still in peril, and Dahlia is dealing with possibly the most loaded metaphorical plate that I’ve ever seen. After all, being asked to solve everything while barely having gotten out of her last scrape alive tends to weigh heavily on the mind and body. There might be a day where our heroine gets to have some peace, but today is not that day. In the meantime, grab a copy and help cheer her on!

Whether we are human or shapeshifter, secrets can be our best friend, or our worst enemy. For Dahlia, it seems as though she straddles the thin line between those distinctions, and that fact is the most prominent in this book as she tackles yet another wave of unspeakable crimes against the very species that she lives to protect. It seems that, even with a partner, it may turn out to go far too deep for our favorite heroine to tackle. Can her empathy give her the answers that she needs? I am a sucker for a good fantasy novel, and this first installment of the Nite Fire series definitely shows promise and establishes a great foundation of the heroine and her journey for all of the books that follow this one. I adored the idea of a shapeshifting assassin from another world, and I loved the fact that she has a soft spot for humans. Her life is never boring, by default, but that leaves her kept constantly on her toes. To see what I mean, crack the book open and experience the adventure for yourself! Also, be prepared to need to order the next installment immediately upon completion.

Shape, shifting dragons, linked worlds and an imminent apocalyptic virus form the basis of this epic tale. This is the fourth in the saga although its easy to follow if you have not read the others. Dahlila, the protagonist, is easy likable with her spunky, brave, determined attitude. She cares about others and has a strong sense of right and wrong despite being brought up being taught the opposite and this really comes across with the author’s writing. I really enjoyed the character development playing out across the novel. The scene setting is brilliant I could really imagine myself in the Nite Fire universe. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Nite Fire: Slash & Burn by C. L. Schneider. These books just keep getting better. This author knows how to take readers on a ride they won’t soon forget. From start to finish I had a hard time living in the real world because all I wanted was to sink into the pages of this book. The characters are complex and truly unique, they bring this story to life so effortlessly. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed. I don’t want to give anything away so all I’ll say is go one click this entire series trust me you won’t regret it. Four big stars and highly recommended! Can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next.

So, I have listened to the first book in this series on Audiobook, and I was thoroughly impressed by that, now, by no logic that I can ever explain I have hopped, skipped, and jumped to book 4. Though missing out quite a big portion of the story so far, I have got to say that Schneider does an amazing job of getting you up to speed, I didn’t feel lost and got the sense that the book could stand alone if it absolutely had to. Still, I would recommend reading the series in order, at least to limit any potential confusion. Badass Dhalia Nite is back, kicking ass and taking names. As always have got to love the character, she is witty, sassy, and self-assured, and also not an idiot, which is so nice to read. Doing what she does best, Dahlia keeps the streets safe from all manner of nasty beasties. But she notices that something isn’t quite right, with monsters pouring in from, what feels like, every available angle, she fears that she and her new team may not be enough to stop the destruction. I really enjoyed this book, and it was interesting to see how far Dahlia had developed, even though through my own stupidity I’d missed out on half of it. Gotta say that I absolutely adored this read and would recommend it to anyone that loves a fair whack of action and mystery. Schneider just knows how to drop you into a scene, making everything so vivid, it feels like you are actually there. She is a fantastic writer and I look forward to reading more of her work.
