I absolutely loved this collection of stories!! They were so magical with a good amount of suspense and along with it some fantastic plot twists and turns. I really liked the characters and I loved reading about them. One of the things I loved about this series is how unique it was and I loved the author’s writing. The stories were written it in such an engaging way that I couldn’t put them down. Having read books by her previously I know that her world building is usually good but I thought that it was excellent in this series. I really liked Wren and I actually liked that I had to work hard to get to understand her, I found her character really intriguing but there was something about her that I just instantly liked. She was a fantastic, strong heroine to read about. I think I would definitely like one of the deserts that she bakes!! All of the characters in the stories were great to read about. I 100% recommend this series – it was a fantastic read!

This box set is awesome! It has it all… romance, suspense, mystery and of course chocolate! All the things needed to make this an interesting read and a it’s a good one to waste away the day away with. Just don’t read these books on an empty stomach because the food and sweets discussed in this book sound down right sinful and I would love to try them all! The characters in these books are another thing I should mention. They were fantastic. Even with the magic elements incorporated in them, they were relatable and they were extremely well liked. I couldn’t wait to see where their stories were going and I was sad when the end finally came around. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this box set to a friend!

The Confectioner’s Guild (The Confectioner Chronicles Book 1) The Confectioner’s Guild by Claire Luana is the first book in the Confectioner Chronicles series. I have to say I loved the prequel and this book is written just as well. The writing style of this author is quite enjoyable. The series is aimed at the YA readers but can be enjoyed by us adults as well. The author has made the characters in this book quite enjoyable and its was a pleasure to have read this book and I do look forward for more instalments. In this book we have mystery, magic and cooking. Not your normal mixture in a book but it works well. So, grab yourself a copy of the book and have an enjoyable time in getting to know not only the characters but the authors wonderful way of telling a story.
The Confectioner’s Coup The Confectioners Coup is the second book in the Confectioner Chronicles series by Claire Luana. If you enjoyed the first book, then this book will not disappoint you at all. Get yourself ready to meet new characters which you will either like or dislike, but they help make this book enjoyable. I will say this book contains so much sadness and may take you on a roller coaster of emotions. But on saying that it has a few twists and turns that you want to keep turning the page. Book one is my favorite so far in this series, but I am looking forward to book three and a nicer ending.
The Confectioner’s Truth The Confectioner’s Truth is the third and final book this series. Please don’t start with book three I wouldn’t recommend them read a standalone. We have the pleasure of meeting some new characters in this book, each one I feel enhances the storyline. Wren went through some time in self-doubt and tries to learn from mistakes she has made. Will she be able to learn and not make the same mistakes again? The only thing I did question was why so many couples, but all in all I enjoyed the book. The thing I liked about this series is I found most of the characters to have their own strengths, I could be wrong but that’s my personal opinion! I really liked how Claire just kept building up this series, sometimes I find the last book in a series to be disappointing, but not with this book. The Confectioner’s Truth has ended this series perfectly. I would also recommend anyone and everyone to read this series, you won’t be disappointed.
The Confectioner’s Exile: The Confectioner Chronicles Prequel Novella The Confectioner’s Exile is the prequel in the Confectioners Chronicles series by Claire Luana. This novella you find will be a nice quick read and you will find it gives the background of Hale and when he joined the guild. Yes, this novella is short, but you will still find twists and turns, love and some adventure. I did enjoy the novella and I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series by Claire Luana is a fun series to read. I recommend reading them in order because the series is in chronological order. The first book in the series The Confectioner’s Guild starts the series. This book is full of mystery, magic, and cooking. Wren is an amazing cook and soon finds herself in the Confectioner’s Guild. Here she learns more about herself and that she has special magical powers. After the death of the head of the guild after eating her cupcake she learns more about not only herself but this guild that she has been brought into. The characters are well written and the story drew me in from the beginning. Not only is Wren a great character but there are also many others. The second book is The Confectioner’s Coup continues this series. The story continues for Wren and things are not looking good for her and others in the guild. Guild members are going missing and the King is out of control. I have enjoyed this as well as the first book and the novella. The writing is well written and entertaining. This is a twist and turn thriller that at times kept me on the edge of my seat. The Confectioner’s Truth is the third book. The story continues with Wren and the members of the guild. There is a new ruler who is beyond bad. He rules like a madman and things are not stable for anyone. I recommend reading the other books in the series. The characters have grown and matured through the course of the series. I enjoy Wren because she is not cocky or self-centered. She is unsure of herself and does not always make the best decisions. She is rash at times and at other times she is centered and in total control. These traits make her easy to relate. There are many past characters who are back and some new ones as well. The Confectioner’s Exile by Claire Luana is a prequel novella to The Confectioner Chronicles. This is the backstory of Hale Firena and his life. He has always had everything he could possibly want but his life changes drastically. He must learn how to survive without relying on others. I really enjoyed this prequel and read it before I read book 1. The writing is great and the action was also good. After reading this novella I was even more excited to read the series.

I absolutely loved this series. It contains 4 books and I highly recommend reading them all in order.
The Confectioner’s Guild –
This one was so unique and the added suspense and mystery had me hooked from page 1 and the last 25% of the book I was on the edge of my seat wondering how in the world she was going to make this all work…Brilliant is just one of the words that come to mind. So many things happen in this story that I’m not even going to try to sum it up
The Confectioner’s Exile –
After reading the Confectioner’s Guild book 1 in this series it was completely awesome to go back and read Hale’s story. I don’t normally like doing this but it worked perfectly for me in this case. I was able to get a much better understanding of who Hale is and where he came from, and the lessons and the tragic losses he experienced along the way.
The Confectioner’s Coup –
This was the continued story of Wren and I loved it as much as the first part of this series. She just can’t win when it comes to staying out of the line of fire with being framed for murder and getting out of that to now suspecting the king of being behind guild members being kidnapped and now the enemy has entered the city.
There was some parts of this story that made me so angry and then parts that were so so sad. You don’t really ever know what your gonna get when you open up one of this authors books and I love that.
The Confectioner’s Truth –
There was a lot going on in this story, we met a lot of new people and visited many new places..I loved this part and I felt as if I was right there with Wren as she was making quick decisions and having a lot of inner battles…I found myself trying to help her and felt like I was feeling everything she was. This character has grown so much through these books and I have totally fallen in love with her, and poor Hale…I miss what feels like the old days with Hale and now there he is regretting so many things, this made me sad.
This author has done an amazing job with this series. I’ve loved every word and every page of all of these books. I absolutely can not wait to read them all again!! She ended this series beautifully and in my humble opinion sets the bar high for any other books in this genre.
Brilliant and I can’t wait to read what is to come from this author!! This is one of those books/series that deserves so much more than 5 stars.

I read these as individual stories and waiting for the next story to drop was painful at times (I can be a little Veruca Salti-sh at times.
These stories are full of all the things that make a good YA fantasy series live up to its expectations. There are wonderful friendships, adventure, intrigue, baked goods, action, and a fast paced narrative. This is a very engaging tale and i would recommend it to old and young alike.

This is a series that I loved reading. It has all four of the stories in the Confectioner Chronicle series that are fun and entertaining to read. It has wonderful characters that I fell in love with and wanted them to succeed in whatever they did. There is action, danger, romance, and suspense in these books. There are times when I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I loved the character of Wren. She is strong, intelligent, and independent. Her story is one that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I read the final page of the final story. This is a YA fantasy novel and I loved how the books included magic and mystery. Besides Wren, there are other characters that I grew to care about and enjoyed reading about them and their interactions with Wren. Many of them are helpful to her. Then there are those with their own agenda what will do anything to make their plans and agenda happen. Don’t miss out on an exciting series that you won’t be able to put down. I highly recommend it. The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series by Claire Luana is a unique YA fantasy, thriller, romance series that is full of magic and the unusual and should not be missed. It is also a murder mystery that is action packed and well paced. Claire weaves her magic with just the right amount of mystery and suspense, action and danger, romance and intrigue, heartache and love, humour and fun. I enjoyed the story so much that it finished before I was ready and I didn’t even notice because I was so enthralled to find out what was going to happen next. In book 1 Wren was falsely accused of murder by cupcake and has a month to find out who framed and who the actual murderer is and clear her name.
In book 2 Wren having barely survived, she is having to face enemies, both old and new as she tries to solve the mystery behind disappearing Guild members.
In book 3 Wren is heartbroken and still reeling from the loss and betrayal of others. On the run, tired, scared, hurt and faced with her past all the while the political unrest continues and Wren wonders if she will ever have her family back and lead a normal life again.
This series should be on everyone’s reading list. I mean books in one stop what could be better.

I had not read any other books by this author, but I am always looking for my next fix when it comes to my next reading adventure. When reading the synopsis of the book, it sounded interesting especially since I have always had an interest in mythology from a very young age. The book did not disappointment me. The story was interesting and kept attention from the beginning to the end. The story of Merope and Orion is one that you will not be able to put down. It is an enjoyable read.

I enjoy stories that modernize Greek Mythology and weave new and old into a story that holds the myth origins to their “truth”.
Orion’s kiss is just that type of story. It is YA and I think the targeted demographic will learn things without even realizing it. Well written with wonderful world building, this story had a little bit of everything. It moves at a good pace and held my interest from beginning to end.

Orion’s Kiss is a novel by Claire Luana. This is my sixth novel by this author.
I noticed the beautiful cover before read the plot.
Meriah Carmichael is forced to watch as her sister dies. Atleast that is her name in this lifetime. Before her name was Metrope who was a half nymph, half Titan. One of the sister tried to free their Dad Atlas from their curses but failed and got cursed themselves.
So now each lifetime, Metrope has to watch Orion’s, Zeus’ bodyguard kills her sisters but this time maybe she has found a way to stop him.
I really enjoyed this story. I don’t know much about Greek mythology but I always love stories that have that element in them.
Meriah was an interesting character and I thought it was cool that our name is similar just spelled different.
I thought Orion was some bad guy who enjoyed what he was doing but there was more to his character that I originally thought.

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana is a YA fantasy that is a wonderful read. I found that the author wrote a exciting story, that I was hooked right away. What really drew me in was how the author used Greek Mythology and created her own twist and version. I felt that the characters were so well thought out and developed. Every chapter, you see two enemies that truly are the only hope they both have. I love as they developed more and more they could be such a force when working together. I highly recommend this standalone read and I look forward to reading more by this author.
I have read a few books by this author and I have to say that this has to be my favourite so far! The authors amazing writing transported me completely into the world that she was describing and I was completely captivated by what I was reading. The characters were well thought out and developed – I really, really enjoyed reading about them. I really liked the modern twist on Greek mythology in my opinion I thought it made the story original. I liked that the story was told completely from Merope/Meriah’s point of view, I am usually a fan of dual POV’s but I don’t think it would have worked for this particularly story. Along with the main characters there were some great secondary characters that I enjoyed getting to know also. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend – I think it would be suited for YA’s who enjoy fantasy reads!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to follow along what was happening in the present and what happened in the past. I liked how we got history in mythology throughout the story. The characters were fun and the friendships they shared made it that much better of a read. The author did awesome with the characters in keeping them young yet didn’t make them completely stupid as sometimes I have noticed happens in some books when dealing with teenagers. I thought this story was entertaining and kept me captivated throughout. I highly recommend this wonderful read. I have read other books by this author and if you like fantasy I suggest you check out other books from her, you will not be disappointed.

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana is an interesting story. The description says it is YA Paranormal Romance, but saying that I would categorize it as MA. This is a mythological story and grabbed my interest for that point alone. It is was written beautifully. I could not stop reading the book until I read the last page. One main reason I would call this MA is because of the undertones of the words. It has face value meaning which makes it YA, but if you understand the undertones it takes on a whole new meaning. Merope is the youngest of seven sisters who sees visions of her sister’s death. Orion is the one who murders her sisters all so long ago. She needs to kill him to break the curse put on her and sisters. Will Merope be able stop Orion or will this be her curse forever?

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana a fantasy of a four-star read. This is sublime, I adore Greek mythology and adventure, and this is so well done, it will take you on a path that you need to follow. Mer is a great character and she tells a great story, this was mythology with a twist and so much more thrown in, there is light romance and drama so much drama. There is pain and darkness, but it is YA so its not that dark overall, just a good story that will keep you hooked.

I enjoyed the updated take on Greek mythology and that it is targeted to a YA audience. I do believe people of all ages can enjoy this story and get a little bit of a lesson in mythology also. The characters are interesting and very well described. I felt at times they should have been a little older but just my opinion. Overall, this is a fun, enjoyable read. I really hate to be a downer but this book really missed a few points for me. Claire Luana isn’t new to me and I have enjoyed a few of her other books so I was hopeful when my eye caught the beautiful cover. If only the book had more of that, well beauty for lack of a better word. I enjoyed the parts where Greek mythology came into play and loved that the characters centered on that concept were strong and reminiscent. However the twist for me just didn’t stick. Murderous teens that get thwarted with happenstance just fell short. I felt as if maybe the struggle came with trying to steer this towards a young adult reading audience. It to me should be new adult and I feel if the pressure to make this a ‘teen’ book was removed the characters could have that added development that would take the book home for me. Otherwise the writing was strong when it came to descriptive world building and vivid scenes to make you feel as if you are right there with the characters. This is one thing I have always loved about Claire Luana’s writing so I was happy to see it still strong. While this one wasn’t for me I will for sure be back to see what will come next from her!

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana was an exc8and creative novel. It was romantic and invigorating. I was immediately hooked with this novel with the introduction of Meriah’s past life of Merope and the so called curss placed on her and her sisters. I love Ryan aka Orion’s character after he is introduced. The two make quite an interesting pair of frenemies. I really enjoyed this novel and its story line. It had an excellent plot and climax. I could not put this book down. I also enjoyed the various characters and how developed they were. The scenery was also very descriptive and easy to visualize. Such a fun and easy read. I highly recommend it!

Orion’s Kiss is a fabulous YA fantasy by Claire Luana that gives a modern day twist to some Greek mythology. I had never read any of this author’s work but after reading this I’d definitely read more from this author. Our heroine Meriah is the reincarnation of Merope. Meriah is sick of her sister’s being killed by Orion as a result of a curse placed on her family many centuries ago, so she decided that she needs to kill him. What results is a funny, heartwarming story as Meriah kidnaps Orion (currently called Ryan in this life) in order to kill him. The more time that Meriah spends with Ryan she sees a whole different side of him and discovers that much of what she has always believed isn’t quite the true story. The 2 of them decided to team up, along with their 2 best friends to find Zeus and break the curse. The interactions between Meriah and Ryan are hilarious at many points. Added to this both do a great deal of soul searching and discover new things about themselves. This book is really well written with great characters. The storyline really grabs you from the very beginning and takes you on a fantastic journey. I definitely recommend this book.

The premise of this story attracted me to it and I’d say overall it is a great read. It is a standalone story so you don’t have to worry about any cliffhangers, which is always nice.
I love mythology (and Orion is my favorite constellation) so I was very interested to see how the author wove the tale of the Pleiades sisters and Orion. Orion’s Kiss kept me intrigued throughout the entire story. It did not disappoint.
Even with the overall story being fabulous, I think there would have been more believability if the main character, Merope/Meriah would have been slightly older, HS Senior or even college Freshman. But I guess if you’ve been reincarnated over and over, you probably have a better grasp on reality at a younger age. Regardless, the story is still a definite must read! Great characters and plot development, a bit of dark and a bit of sweetness.

I have read a few books from this author and this again was a success. I truly enjoyed this book. I do love my Greek mythology and I love the twist this author has taken on it. I just couldn’t put this book down.
Just imagine being Meriah and being reincarnated again and again. The author really has a great way of unfolding the drama around her. The chemistry between her and Ryan is just explosive. I found that the characters seem to just jump off of the pages and I couldn’t wait to see how it would end. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

A great read about fate. Meriah is one of the Pleaides trying to save her sisters from a terrible fate. Tired of watching them die, she decides to finally take action against nt Orion, the man responsible. But events unravel and it turns out there is more to the story than Meriah ever realised. Can she still do the right thing and save her sisters? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Meriah trying to do the right thing despite her vision or Ryan stubborn but kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the optimistic Brandon or the supportive Zoe. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the sense of nature in the lake by the cabin or the stars in the night sky for a sense of calm. Or with the sibylls house later on with its red carpets and orange flowers and engravings full of vibrant colours and history behind them wonderfully written. Or the visions with the water and the pillars so vivid it’s as if you’re actually there. I loved the use of mythology throughout the novel like Orion or Zeus or the Fates true to their origins given the respect they deserve. I also liked the use of different myths like the Pleaides, instead of the more important gods other fantasy novels use making it fresh and exciting. The first person narrative worked well to display Meriahs journey and thoughts and feelings. The use of memories and or flashbacks worked well and didn’t disrupt from the narrative of the present. The combination of realism of high school and fantasy of fates made for a wonderful read Fast paced action and high stakes made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

I loved this story. The characters are fun, interesting and hard to let go of. The story is full of Greek mythology with a modern twist. We meet the ancient ones in a current day setting with a penchant for the past. Meriah and Zoe are great HS best friends. They are the typical teenagers. Joking, laughing and sharing everything. While we don’t know a lot about Ryan and Brandon’s background they also have a typical bro relationship for high schoolers. When they all pair up things really start moving. There were many times I was surprised at what and how things were happening. Not bad… just shocking and many OMG’s
This isn’t my first book by this author. I love how smooth her stories flow. They are so comfortable and easy to read. I feel like I am meeting and hanging out with new friends. I loved reading this and enjoyed meeting these wonderful characters.

Orion’s Kiss is a Young Adult Fantasy novel by Claire Luana. It is based on Greek Mythology, with a modern setting. The story centres around the characters of Orion and the Pleiades, particularly the youngest Merope. For millennia, the seven sisters and the hunter have been reincarnated only to meet the same, seemingly unavoidable fate. In the 21st Century, Meriah is determined to use her visions to save her sisters from their fate and is prepared to do anything in her power to stop Ryan from filling the role in their deaths he has occupied for so long. The story is told from Meriah’s perspective in a first-person narrative that often feels like she is talking to the reader. I particularly liked how, at the beginning, she kept pausing relating her backstory to talk about what was happening in the immediate present. It was a great way to introduce the character as an ancient being but also a teenage girl. There’s a strong team of supporting characters, particularly Zoe and Brandon. Brandon is very down-to-earth and keeps the story, and the characters, grounded in reality with his focus on important things like food and, er, food. Zoe’s loyalty to Mer and sense of humour make her a refreshing aspect of the story. For me, this is a five star book. I’d recommend it particularly to young adult and teenage readers who enjoy mythology or urban fantasy, such as fans of the Percy Jackson books. It’s a standalone novel, but Luana has written a number of great fantasy books which fans of Orion’s Kiss might enjoy.

Merope has watched her 6 sisters die; not just once, but lifetime after lifetime. She has yet to break the cycle, but maybe this time will be different. With the help of her best friend, she comes up with a plan that just might work. But once she gets to know the one whom she blames, Orion, the more she changes her mind. Can what he says be true? Can they break the curse together? Or are they doomed to continue the circle of tragedy? What of the feelings she is developing for him?
This was an interesting paranormal romance standalone book. The characters are young, but that does not detract us older readers. I consider for ages YA and older. The main characters are great, as well as the best friends. I would love to see more on the friends at some point, too. The story itself pulls you in and has plenty of action the further in you go. I was excited to see just how everything would turn out and could not put it down.
If you are a fan of YA paranormal romance, I highly recommend this book.

Orion’s Kiss is a fun read. There is so much going on in this book, magic, mystery, drama, and a little bit of romance.
Meriah or Merope as she is known as, is the daughter of Atlas. She spends lifetime upon lifetime trying to find ways to break the curse on her and her sisters. The curse causes all of her sisters to die at the hands of the God Orion.
Orion is her enemy as he is the one killing her sisters, but it seems that Orion and Meriah start a romance that may not be in the cards. It looks like Meriah will have to kill Orion in order to break the curse and save her sisters from dying again.
Overall a great read. I loved the Greek mythology and history that was thrown in. I would highly recommend this book.
