Can’t Forget by Colleen S. Myers – Review by Krystal Gaston

Can't ForgetCan’t Forget by Colleen S. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Can’t Forget written by Colleen Myers is the second book in the Solum Series. Can’t Forget starts off perfectly where Must Remember ends. The two stories flowed flawlessly from on to another with the story continuing to grow. The action, the love, the lies all grow until there’s nothing left. I am looking forward to book three and can’t wait to see how the story ends. Throughout the story I feel like Elizabeth belongs to both Finn and Marin. She loves them both but in different ways there a few surprises along the way that you don’t see coming and a few make you want to cry for everything Elizabeth has gone through just to survive.

Must Remember by Colleen S. Myers – Review by Michelle Austin

Must Remember (Solum, #1)Must Remember by Colleen S. Myers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Must remember was a very interesting 4 star read and book one in the Solum series.

The way this book starts is really twisted and insane. I had no idea what was going on right along with Elizabeth. Elizabeth ends up waking up in a whole new world with two suns. She is beyond confused, she ends up meeting some men that take her back to their village.

Elizabeth would have memories here and there, she was also learning about her magic. We also get a love triangle when Finn and Marin are vying for her attention and they are not shy about it. I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about Marin at first, he seemed a little shady for me. Finn pulled me in until some secrets were revealed. I’m still on the fence on whose team I’m on.

There is so much more that goes on, danger, secrets, suspense and action. I really liked Elizabeth’s strength and sassiness, I had so many LOL moments with her. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We do end with a cliff hanger and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Colleen has done another great job of pulling you right in with her writing.

Must Remember: Dead or alive, they want her back. (Solum Series Book 1)

Four Stars

This story is the first glimpse we get of this authors new world. There are different species, different planets and powers. This story revolves around a girl named Elizabeth aka Beta. She knows someone is after her and willing to do anything to get her back. Marin is the chief and is attacked to Beta but she has feeling for Finn. This starts a wild love triangle that is just crazy. Beta doesn’t know who to trust with her emotions. Finn who doesn’t believe in fidelity. I wanted to reach through the book and slap Finn. This keeping his options open is complete bs. Marin was wrong for how he handled it. The story was good but it could’ve been stronger in the action department. With that being said you see read a lot about the relationships but not the story behind the other characters like Finn and Marin. I enjoyed the story and would definitely read more from this author.

Must Remember: Dead or alive they want her back. (Solum Series Book 1)
By Colleen S. Myers
This book was original, fun, action packed, and entertaining. I enjoyed reading about Elizabeth “Beta” Camden, she is a young women who finds herself on a strange planet with big gaps in her memory. She ends up meeting people who are the fost and they are wary of each other, and I think the dynamic between them is very well written including the romance. I really enjoyed reading every minute of this story. I loved all the characters and suspense involved in this story. You must read to find out if she gets all her memories back. You must also read to find out if she can stay out of danger and away from those that want her back, dead or alive. This is a must read, I highly recommend reading this book and can’t wait to read the next one.

Must Remember (Solum Series #1) by Colleen S. Myers – Review By Chantelle Smith

Must Remember (Solum, #1)Must Remember by Colleen S. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must remember is Book one in the Solum series from author Colleen S. Myers.
This book has literally held me captivated since the first page and held me there until the very end. I was not expecting to be drawn into the action, suspense and mystery quite so early on in this read but it made everything more heightened while reading it.

Elizabeth ‘Beta’ is introduced straight away and we are thrown into her world – one that not only becomes a mystery to her, but to us as well. We follow her on the journey of ups & downs. The mystery surrounding her own existence on this unknown planet. She becomes a mystery to everyone – and they try anything to figure out why and how she got there and of course the biggest suspense of them all why she was wearing enemies clothing.

This author has created an incredibly vivid, mentally visual read. I couldn’t help but picture the whole planet in my mind while reading it, the look and descriptions of each individual character that Beta comes into contact with. All of it makes for an incredible sci-fi, alien romance novel filled with action, adventure, mystery, suspense, romance and most important an incredible plot.

Each character that Beta interacts with, comes across to you as the reader in different ways. Each of them making their own impressions on Beta and the way acts around them, but you can’t help but love Finn & Marin and of course Ute, but each of these characters has their own story to be told and I loved reading their interactions, feelings and ideas of why Beta is there. Along with the brilliant connections, we cannot forget the magic that is weaved through the story and the history of it.
I loved that we were learning all things along with Beta, it made everything seem more real, and as though we were there living out the story ourselves.

Overall this was an incredible read that I loved that I got the chance to read, and cannot wait to delve into this world again in Book 2 – to see what continues with Beta’s story.

Must Remember (Solum #1)
By Colleen S. Myers
Rated 4 stars

This is an interesting story. The plot was good and I struggled to put it down and read it fairly quickly. The characters caused me to worry and wonder about them. Who is telling the truth? What will happen if they get caught? This story starts by introducing Elizabeth or Beta. She wakes up on the ground and she doesn’t remember where or why or how she got there. The Fost are instantly suspicious because she is dressed like their enemy. While they try to get answers from her, Beta comes into contact with an assortment of characters. Some are very hard to figure out. Others show their true colors very quickly. The magic that is displayed throughout the story was very cool. I don’t want to say much but….lucky her!

The author did an amazing job describing the background and letting the characters fill us in on their background. Neither were boring or dull but kept me interested in this different world. What happened to Beta slowly comes out through the story. So that is a huge draw to keep me going in the mystery/alien romance. So this is my first book with aliens in it. I think because they were somewhat like humans it seemed a smooth transition.

I have read other books by this author. She seems to deliver a smooth storyline with interesting characters. This one is no exception.

Must Remember (Solum, #1)Must Remember by Colleen S. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Remember: Solum Series book one written by Colleen S. Myers was a pleasantly addicting read. This isn’t my usual genre though I will read a book or two occasionally. I’m glad I picked this one and I look forward to the next book in the Solum Series: Can’t Forget. The main character is quick witted and even when she’s stressed out and freaked out she responds with sarcasm and quick humor…even if they don’t quite understand what she’s saying by using human slang and features she knows and that’s what matters. As the story progresses you watch her grow as a character and get more bold with the other characters. Beta is adapting to her surroundings and situation as much as she can with Finn and Marin there to help along with the guidance of Ute and his books what could go wrong….

Must Remember: Dead or Alive, They Want her Back. Book 1 in the Solum Series by Colleen Myers
4 out of 5 Stars
Elizabeth “Beta” Camden has lived through a nightmare and survived. In her new post-apocalyptic world, she has survived the claiming and destroying of her world from the E’mani, the creepy alien men from Space. She suffers their experiments and torments, and finally she escapes.
She doesn’t remember the details of why, but they want her back….badly and they will do anything to get her back. In her fear and pursuit of safety, she runs into the Fost, the enemy of the E’Mani, and hey, the enemy of her enemy is her friend….right? Beta struggles with the memories from her time of capture and knows that they hold the secret as to why the E’mani want her back so bad. As she tries to regain these memories she is drawn to the handsome Marin, a Fost who seems to have a similar attraction to Beta.
This book is not in my normal wheelhouse genre but I was oddly and pleasantly surprised with this book. The characters were well rounded and sharp. Easily relatable on a personal level and with dashes of humor thrown in. A good read for a rainy day.

Can’t Forget Book 2 in the Solum Series by Colleen S. Myers
4 Stars!!!!

I am forever reading books in series out of order but I found that I didn’t have trouble in understanding what was happening in this book. I do love an alien based book. I found the author had a very refreshing style. I quite liked the plot and was quite drawn into this book.

Elizabeth and Marin have such a unique and special chemistry. I was quite drawn to them as a pair.
The way the author uses the back flashes of Elizabeth’s past really add to the drama of the book.
I found myself feeling the emotions along with her and also her fears. I really do need to get the
other books in the series read and I plan on not only reading them but also reading this book again
as I feel as though I have found another author to add to my top favorites!

This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I was pulled right into the story by the creative characters that made me feel part of their journey. Beta is my favorite, she is determined and strong but she also knows that the E’mani won’t soon be forgetting about her. That determination will put her and someone she cares for in danger which leaves her questioning if she will ever be able to leave her past behind? I highly recommend reading this book to find out.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It is well written, rich in detail, and has a steady pace. The characters are somehow believable even given the storyline and setting. Although a bit heavy in the amount of sex, it was a good book. The author has a unique voice and a clear ability for story telling regardless of where the story takes place.

By: Colleen S. Myers
5 out of 5 stars

The story Can’t Forget: If she can’t forget her past, she won’t have a future. (Solum Series Book 2) by Colleen S. Myers is a science fiction/fantasy book. It is a story that hooked me in when I read the first book and now has hooked me in again with the second. I was mesmerized and found myself not wanting to put the book down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about Beta and Marin. Beta is a woman determined to find the E”mani and she has revenge on her mind. She is on a mission and not even Marin can stand in the way of her plans. Even though she knows that her actions could anger Marin she still pushes forward. Marin is a man that is totally in love with Beta. He wants to keep her safe. Beta has done the unexpected and now he refuses to let her throw her life away. Beta is someone who doesn’t like to be told what she can and can’t do. Marin is one that protects the one he loves. Will it take a threat to Marin’s safety to make her realize just how much she needs him? What does Beta remember about her past and what will it mean for her future? Read this book to find out. This is a wonderfully written story that I highly recommend reading. It is part of a series and in order to fully understand what is going on, I would recommend reading the stories in order. I love the romance between Beta and Marin. There are some steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Can’t Forget (Solum Series Book 2) by Colleen S. Myers – Review by Emily Walsh

Can't ForgetCan’t Forget
ByColleen S. Myers
My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

Can’t Forget by Colleen S. Myers was a fast pace, epic science fiction fantasy drama, that has me hooked just as must as the first book.

The second book in the Solum Series, is a continuations series so I highly suggest you read the first book, as it will give you much needed backstory and get a better understanding of Bata and Marin. I very much enjoyed reading about Bata and Marin, it fit better in this book and actually added something good to the plot and at times drove it forward.

What I will say, and something I find irritating with female MC’s/the hero; was that she fell into the whole,I can do it myself trope. She didn’t listen to reason and, it bit her hard in the behind. But it’s like TV, no matter what I mutter into the book she’s an’t going to listen. I do get it, I do, it moves the story forwards, crates drama, and a deadly situation. I just didn’t like the whole “You can’t tell me what to do!” trope. No one likes to be told what they can and can’t do. But sometimes, closing your mouth and processing why a person is asking you not to do something dangerous, could save your life. I’m in the military, so I know this, teach this and stress this, to my young subordinates that have the same attitudes.

Outside of that, like the first book, we are still getting pieces of Bata’s past, this drives not only the plot but the reader. The authors does this through flashbacks, and they’re pretty intense. There is bit of a plot bomb towards the end, and you are going to have your mouths opened. I’m not going to say, cause I don’t want to ruin a thing about this original read. Not only is the writing smooth and easy to follow but the raw emotions that it’s lace with, will pull at your hearts string, snapping them, making you feel for Bata, and for the hell that she went through.

Overall this book, this series is a must read. I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. It’s truly something special and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Happy Reading.

Must Remember (Solum, #1)Must Remember by Colleen S. Myers

Must Remember: dead or alive they want her back by Colleen Myers is he first book in The Solum series. It is a unique and intriguing story that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Beta is one of the lucky ones. She survived and was rescued by the E’mani. However their rescue comes at a high cost. That cost? The torture and experiments they subject her to for years.
Having finally escaped Beta finds herself wandering their world, without any memory of her past, trying to stay alive and out of their grasp.
To make matters worse Beta starts displaying old magic. Magic that sets her apart. It becomes imperative that Beta remembers what happened to her, or she could find herself in even more trouble.

This book had me intrigued from the start. It had so many different elements that I couldn’t wait to see how it would all come together. Beta’s part in the story was interesting and only got better to read about as the book went on. I loved reading about her as a character and the way she was portrayed. And when the Fost were introduced it just got even better for me. This book was well put together and knows how to take you, as the reader, on a journey. A great start to a new series.

Must Remember (Solum Series Book #1) by Colleen S. Myers – Review by Angela Hayes

Must RememberMust Remember by Colleen S. Myers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Must Remember is the first book in the Solum series by Colleen S. Myers. It is a ‘new adult’/science fiction story with a love triangle, action, adventure, aliens, magic, survival, memory loss, and good vs. evil. It is just under 200pages, which made it a quick and easy read.
Elizabeth (Beta) Camden’s world turns upside down- going from being a typical college student one minute, to waking up on an alien world with missing memories, the next. As she is trying to figure out where she is and what’s going on- she runs into a Fost- one of the planets native inhabitants…. And the story takes off from there. She learns about the world she’s on, and little snippets of memories begin to return. She is drawn to two ‘men’- and spends a lot of time trying to decide between the two. There is danger, and a much at stake- a lot rests on her remembering. How did she get there? Why did the aliens abduct her? What do they want? What exactly happened, and why can’t she remember?
First of all, I love the cover! I was drawn to it right away.
Beta’s story was quite interesting, but she did frustrate me a lot with her inner dialogue and indecision. And I usually don’t mind a love triangle in a book, but I felt this one was quite distracting, and it added unwarranted drama and complication to the storyline. #TEAM MARIN…
The world building was on-point, with wonderful descriptions and details. The characters were interesting and original. The story got off to a fantastic start, with a great pace- but did lose some of that momentum in the middle of the book.
I am looking forward to book #2.

Thank you, Ms. Myers!

Blood Will Tell (The Blood, #1) by Colleen S. Myers – Review by Jana Teppih

Blood Will Tell (The Blood, #1)Blood Will Tell by Colleen S. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blood Will Tell is the first book in Colleen S. Myers’ new series called The Blood. I had not read anything else by this writer before and I have to say the synopsis was very ‘sterile’ and the only thing that made me to actually pick up a copy was that someone wrote it is ‘Twilight meets Divergent’ and as I am a hard core fan of both then I decided to give it a go! And I tell you I am happy to report that it was a very fortunate decision and I would not really say it is ‘Twilight meets Divergent’, I think it does disservice to the writer and to the story! Yes, it is a series that is a bit of a YA/NA paranormal fantasy mixes with science fiction sprinkled with a dash of romance but that does not mean that it does not stand in its own rights!
Blood Will Tell gives us the opening to the world after 2019 and is ruled by different vampire clans. They live in cities surrounded by walls made of pure steel and control the humans to the minutiae – how and where they work, that they exercise daily regardless of weather, take vitamins and … breed …and of course they give blood every month! In this world we meet Isabelle or Isa and she is our heroine and it is her journey that we will be taken on and then of course there is betrayal and danger and despair and hope and love triangle with Roke (a Vampire) and Alex (a human who captains the ship Roke and Isa use to escape the city) and … there are so many layers and intrigue and at the end of the first book you are left with ‘WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE BEING PUBLISHED’ and the story keeps hounding you and it probably will until Colleen hands us the next instalment in the series!
