A perfect short story for Christmas time. I love Conner and Sienna together! And I love that this book is centered around the Paralympics. This book has the perfect amount of drama, romance and sweet and funny moments. Sienna’s mom is super annoying and really got to me, I was glad to see Sienna stand up for what she wanted. Both Sienna and Conner didn’t let their missing limbs stop them from going after what they wanted and living their lives to the fullest. Conner had to work at accepting his new life as an amputee, Sienna was born that way, and I think the way she embraced it helped Conner to not be as self conscious about his.

What a fun, steamy, and wonderful read. I really enjoyed this book. The author put a little something for everyone in this one, and I believe that book lovers of all genres would enjoy it. Kamana Wanalaya was the first book to read that Susan has written, but will not be my last.

So I was rooting for Josh and Mavis to work out in the first book, but it is hard to not feel bad for Austin and him having his heart broken. I enjoyed reading Austin and Casey and their relationship developing during this book. The author did a great job again in this second book with character development. I enjoyed this second book a little more and look forward to the next book.

Umm, what a whirlwind. First, I would not want to be in Mavis or Josh’s position. I understand why she made the decision she did when she left, but I absolutely sympathize with Josh and not getting an explanation. I love second-chance romances and loved that Josh was willing to fight for him and Mavis. The book was well-written and her characters were well developed. Overall I enjoyed reading it.

I loved this book as well as the first one in the series! Now here’s where you have the heartbroken man who is seriously struggling with moving on. But he moves away and starts again. There’s the love of sports, the love of love, and so many difficult decisions to make. I was full of intense emotions by reading this book and it was so hard to not stay up super late and finish yet another chapter! I’m excited for book 3!!!

I loved you yesterday is such a fun book to read! I was so excited to keep every page turning to lessen a bit more about our characters. This book turned into much more than I really expected. I thought it was about a love struck guy and that was it but as I kept turning page by page the story just developed so much more! Such a fun love triangle with Mavis trying to find her person. The craziest part about it is the author takes you on the roller coaster ride of trying to choose which suitor is the best! Read this book and you will for sure fill yourself with joy! Loved this I am so excited for the entire series!

Love Tools (Bluestone Series, #1)Love Tools by Isobel Reed
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lily has had enough of dead-end jobs and dead-end boyfriends; she decides to seek adventures abroad and when she discovers she has inherited her estranged father’s business in BlueStone County.

Once she arrives things do quite go to plan, after a encounter with a sexy cowboy she thinks things are looking up but said cowboy Jake is more irritating in the beginning but as Lily gets to know Jake the chemistry is off the charts.
Can she ignore his reputation, and will Jake be the one?

This is the first book I have read by this author and thought this novella a great opening book into her world. I loved the interaction between the two main characters, and this was a well written story to start this series off with.

I did feel a bit for Jake as I felt that he could not shake the reputation of the past and prove too everyone he had changed as a love and leave them type of person, but in the end the story weaved beautifully through their relationship and blossomed into a lovely heart-warming story.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and other books by this author.

Highly charged emotions
This is a contemporary romance that just tugs at the heart strings. Austin and Casey’s story is raw and real. Austin has been through so much and Casey is such a free soul. Together they are amazing. It is well worth reading book 1 to get the backstory and to get the full experience if the trilogy. The author has a way of drawing you in, that makes you feel part of the story. Can’t wait for book 3.

A cyclone of emotions
This book was like being on an emotional roller coaster. I absolutely love books set in small towns where the township is embedded in the story. This did not disappoint. All the characters are likeable and Lily and Jake are such a great couple. Their story had me bouncing between the lols and the tears. I am so looking forward to reading more of the Bluestone Series.
Highly recommend.

Love Tools is the first book in the Bluestone series by Isobel Reed. It is a really great contemporary romance (closed-door/fade-to-black/clean) with a small-town setting, a western element, sexy cowboys, emotion, humour, interesting + likeable characters, and just enough drama to keep things interesting.
This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Reed, but if this story is anything to go by, it definitely won’t be the last.
There’s so many laugh-out-loud moments, which made this book such a fun read- but, there was plenty of emotion too, which tugged at my heartstrings and had me all wrapped up in the ‘feels’. Lily was such a hoot- all sass and sarcasm- which made for some really funny banter, quips, and antics. Jake might have started out as the king of casual, not wanting a relationship- until Lily swept onto the scene and upended his life. She was everything he didn’t know he needed…. he’ll just have to convince her that it’s worth taking a chance on love.
Bring on Book #2- Expiry Dating…. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Alice and Brady.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Isobel Reed!

Robyn and Teddy’s story will turn you inside. Emotional, beautiful, honest, and intense. The author did a great job with this story about second chances at love and life. Teddy went to prison for something beyond his control and at the same time lost he love of his life trying to be a better man. When he is released from prison and returns home he finds that not all is lost with his old gf Robyn, and she sticks by him like no time has past. As they experience this second chance together there are still obstacles that can make or break this love again…

Faultless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #1)Faultless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Faultless Love was a second chance, small-town, steamy romance. Ted is a convicted felon on parole for a crime he didn’t commit. Robyn is his true high school sweetheart who has put her life on hold while he served his sentence. Things happen after Ted is released and there’s a chance he might be thrown back in jail.

The things I loved about this book are how cute the two are with each other, the plot was exciting, and it was hard to put the story down. I really enjoyed the connection among the family members and how the farm and everything were set up. It was very cute and entertaining.

The things I didn’t quite enjoy about the book were the way the prose was written, the way Ted talked about his sister, and how some of the things didn’t quite finish up. We didn’t get some things wrapped up around the plot. It was a bit of a weird wrap-up.

Overall, it was a decent story. I enjoyed reading the story and loved the couple. It was a cute story that had a bit of a kick to it. I enjoyed the tropes and the idea behind it. It was a good read for anyone who loves small towns, farms, and second chances.

I Love You Today (The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy Book 2)I Love You Today by Julie Navickas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I Love you Today is the 2nd book in the Trading Heartbeats series. It should be read in order because there is a lot of back story. It probably could be read alone, but you won’t have the full details of the character’s relationships. I loved this book! Casey and Austin are both great characters. I love that Casey is a klutz and not a perfect cookie cutter girl. She is a down to earth, every day girl, and Austin is pretty cool too for how rich his family is. I can’t believe what he did to Casey but I was happy with their ending. The ending of the book on the other hand, not cool… I need to know what happens next and read Lauren and Mitch’s story. Please be quick with writing and publishing it!
But seriously I love this book and series. It is clean but cute and romantic. Can’t wait for book 3.

A fantastic beachy holiday read. I have never spent a holiday anywhere warm, unless New England happens to be unusually warm, but reading this I was instantly transported there. At first when I read the Title, I was having trouble figuring out the pronunciation, then I said it out loud and instantly started laughing out loud. I couldn’t wait to dive in and it literally started delivering first sentence!
I don’t even know where to begun on how much I enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, they were relatable and enjoyable to spend my time with. I wasn’t able to read this in one sitting but if things like taking care of children and going to work didn’t get in the way I could have easily sat and devoured this book.
If you are lucky enough to go somewhere warm and tropical this holiday season and need a poolside/beach read this is it!
If you’re like me and just need to mentally escape to somewhere warm, this is it!

The perfect quick read to get you in the holiday spirit. Snow in Love by Libby Kay is a short and sweet (and a little bit spicy) Christmas Read!
I was hooked just after a few pages and read it in one sitting. I was engaged from beginning to end. I really enjoyed the characters. The story was cute.
This is honestly the perfect read to curl up by the fire with a mug of Hot Cocoa and snuggle under a cozy blanket.
The story was short, but it was honestly perfect, nothing felt rushed or dragged out.
So if you are looking for a holiday themed read, this is a great one.

Faultless Love: A Small Town Second Chance Romance (The Bennetts of Langston Falls #1) by K.G. Fletcher

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. Faultless Love is a great book and I can’t wait for the next one. This is the first book of The Bennetts of Langston Falls Series. Teddy is a man of my dreams without going to jail.

Teddy is home. After five long years in jail for something he didn’t do. He left behind the love of his life. His family. Now he’s only got his family minus his mom. Can he and Robyn make it work? The quote I chose for Ted is: “The worst is behind me, Hank. I’m sorry you felt helpless. I didn’t mean to make you feel that way.”

Robyn is still in Langston Falls. She hasn’t exactly forgotten Ted, but she doesn’t know how to react now that he’s home. Will she see him? The quote I chose for Robyn is: “It’s probably because I overindulged last night, and now I’m paying the price adding an overloaded coffee to the mix.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

There’s nothing I like better at this time of year than reading a good, holiday romance, and Susan Renee hit this one out of the park!

Tenley and Teagan are not quite enemies, but they find themselves worlds apart on their ideas of finding lasting love. Tenley is a cynic when it comes to romance. She has her own podcast, Practical Adult Relationships, where she trashes the idea of love and has no intention of ever falling in love herself! On the other hand, Teagan has his own blog, and he is known as the Love Guru. He is a believer in finding and keeping love yet he hasn’t found that special someone yet. By chance, he invites her to Hawaii for an all-expense paid trip for a week at a couple’s retreat. It’s more of a challenge…if she doesn’t fall in love, he will donate a hefty sum to her podcast. And, Tenley, being Tenley, cannot resist this challenge, not only for the money but to prove to the Love Guru once and for all that love doesn’t exist. Let the games begin!!!!

The attraction between these two is electric despite their dislike of one another. Therefore, the banter between them is fantastic!!! I also liked the fact that Susan Renee kind of turned the story on its head for me. She made the female character the cynic, and the male character the one who believes in the magic of love. I was on his side from the beginning, and I kept hoping he would get her to fall for him!

She also did something different with her characters’ voices. Tenley and Teagan both have their own chapters. We are given their conversations, but we are also given their inner thoughts, so we know exactly how they feel about one another, even though they don’t! I loved that!!!!!

One of my favorite parts of the book was at the end when Renee went into detail about the other couples who are there. They have appeared in her other books, and she actually included the titles of those books so I can easily find them to read. I’m really glad I took a chance on Susan Renee. She has found a new fan in me!

When the father that wasn’t around leaves you an inheritance after his death. This was pretty much how Love Tools started. Lily, the female lead, was left her father’s property in Montana. Which included a hardware store. So she uproots her life in London to start anew. Little did she know where this would lead her life.
Will she let the past get the best of her?
Jake didn’t know his friend Matthew had a daughter, and a feisty one at that. She comes blowing into his life and doesn’t know how to handle it. But he intends on proving to her she’s more than just a fling.
Can he not get redemption?
The story the author wrote was cute. Full of stubborn and feisty characters to keep one entertained. There were also some snickering laughs along the way. What the author put these two main characters through demonstrated so much growth on both parts it was refreshing.
I enjoyed it and look forward to the next book!

This is the second book in the Trading Hearts Trilogy. Even though it’s the second book you don’t have to read the first to read the second. Austin, a main character in the first book, lost the love of his life to his twin so he’s naturally gun shy. When the wonderful Casey falls, quite literally in his lap, he is enamored but guarded. Casey has her own hesitations which makes this story cute and light hearted with a little bit of the drama and anxiety that comes from these kinds of situations. Great story with an hea.

This is the first book of the series and I’m hooked! This is my first book I’ve read by Isabel and it most certainly won’t be the last! Lilly has inherited her fathers tool shop. She meets Jake (has his own ranch) who gets under her skin since their first interaction. She’s mouthy, he’s sarcastic. She infuriates him but he can’t get enough. Will they quit bumping heads and let love take over? Will she find that certain thing or spark she’s been looking for in her life? She moved because she felt like something was missing. Will she find that? Highly recommend this! I love the authors writing style and it had me completely hooked. Real page turner for me and I couldn’t put the book down. I love Lilly and her sassiness lol.

Going into this book, I knew it could be read as a stand alone. Now that I have read it, I do need to go back to book 1 to see if things make better sense to me. This book is written in third person with some internal dialogue in between.

Austin has been in love with a girl that isn’t his. She is engaged to his BFF. He helps them pack her stuff up to move back to California from Chicago. His job provides him with the opportunity in Chicago that he can’t refuse. It comes at a great time to give him space away from her and him. In Chicago he meets back up with the girl he didn’t know he needed. Someone different to keep his mind occupied or maybe someone to change how he feels. His job throws him a curve ball and offers him a position of a lifetime back in California. Now he left to decide on his dream job or the girl that stole his heart.

I loved this heart warming story with baseball thrown in. If you are looking for a book that started out like what the heck and gets pieced back together then this book is for you.
