“Every moment with you is precious time ticking life into my heart.”

Sofia (Tia)

The holidays are here, and I’m feeling hopeful until an anonymous text message arrives, reminding me of why I’m in hiding. I go by “Tia,” but that’s not my real name. I stay away from men, especially cops. But Theo—an attractive and determined detective—fascinates me. I’m afraid my desire for him might be the end of me.

Theo

The last thing I need is a distraction that takes me away from my recovery from a deadly wound. But as the mystery unravels around Sofia, so does danger, and so does my heart. The need to protect her pulses in me, becoming a priority. She’s mine, and I always protect what’s mine.

I absolutely loved Gina and Bryce’s story. It was a story about find the beauty and strength within yourself. I loved being on Gina’s journey with her as she found and felt her beauty both inside and out. Both of their characters were very well written and I loved them even though at times I wanted to scream because of their actions. The relationship she had with her best friends was also amazing and I can’t wait to read more about them.

Wow this book was such a super good read and had me on pins and needles! This book is a contemporary romance novel that surrounds Gina and Bryce. Gina was in a horrifying accident while in the military which makes her very hesitant to let anyone in. Bryce is a fire inspector who does not think he can find love until he first lays eyes on Gina. I enjoyed reading this book tremendously as the main character fights her insecurities which hits home for me as I too have the same insecurities. You will not be disappointed reading this book! I loved their ending, and it was perfectly perfect for them and was not expected!

Gina what a start and a misunderstanding to boot. After this the realtionships progress and hits a few tumbles on the road. Some unexpected I didn’t think the boom would take this turn. I was impressed with Brcye character and how well develop he was and adaptable to situations. All of Gina’s friends are very good and add alot to the story Owen And Charlie made me laugh alot.

After a roadside bomb leaves her burned, former Army Sergeant Gina Fisher takes comforter in teaching online and sewing.

But her inner peace may come to an end when arson Inspector Byrce Cambridge takes an interest in her but she shoots him down. Seeing him again the next day at the bowling alley, Gina can’t resist the connection between them.

I really enjoyed this novel and I felt that the female protagonist being the one that is scarred and a former sergeant when I usually see that as part of the male protagonist to be different and refreshing in a way.

This was definitely a love worth fighting for and worth a read.

This book is book one of the series. I absolutely loved this second chance romance!

Brynn and Levi have a past. Because of Brynn’s meddling mother, they went their separate ways. Now post divorce, Brynn’s life is a lot different than she thought it would be. After setting her dreams aside for far too long Brynn decides it’s time she do something for herself. On a whim, she wins tickets to a hockey game, never imagining coming face to face with Levi. Will Brynn and Levi be able to use this second chance to their advantage or is the past too much to bare?

I really enjoyed these characters. Brynn is resilient and I really enjoyed that about her. Her whole life changes and she just rolls with it as tough as it is. I really enjoyed her and Levi together as well. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

This book packed a lot of emotions. A lot of heavy, but humor and sweetness too. Gina worked hard to build her life up after her devastating military injury. But that hurt lingers and her insecurities bleed through this story. I wanted to scream at her to get. Her. Man. Because I absolutely loved Bryce. I loved the chemistry and connection. This wasn’t the first book I’ve read by Marianne Rice, and it won’t be the last!

What a great read! From the first page on the story moves along at a good pace and the writing is so smooth. I love that in a book! The story is filled with love, stressors, military women, distrust and a fireman. Really covers everything..oh plus there is girl besties! I enjoyed all the ups and downs and meeting all the characters. They made me laugh, wonder and have doubt a couple times. I really loved how Bryce was all googly-eyed at Gina and not deterred by her refusal. Then I could feel how happy he was when she finally agreed. I felt like fist bumping him!

Overall a wonderful story. I have not read the previous ones but the characters they produce really added to this one. I look forward to more.

Power Play is the first book in the Astoria Bay Thunder Series. This is a Second Chance Hockey Romance that once you start reading you won’t want to put down till you finish. The characters are relatable and fully developed and the authors style of writing simply amazes me. This second chance romance had my emotions all over the place . Levi is the Captain of a local Professional Hockey team and Brynn is recently divorced and trying to get her life back. These two had a summer romance years ago and now he wants to win her back, she’s the one that got away and he never stopped loving her. Can they reunite? Is it to late for them to have a relationship? The chemistry between these to wow! I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. This is definitely a great start to this series I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Emotional roller coaster to happiness
Bryce and Gina’s story. This had all the feels. The author handled sensitive issues with ease and presented a love story filled with a rawness and honesty that made it so much more relatable. Gina’s insecurities and Bryce’s fears hit close to home. A beautiful story filled with hope, some drama and a whole lotta love. This is the third book in the series, can be read as a stand alone but the characters from the previous books do appear in this book too. Looking forward to Skylar’s story.

I couldn’t put this book down! This book is amazing, it’s romantic, heart wrenching, sweet, steamy and funny all at once. Levi and Brynn were the love of each other’s lives, but a series of misunderstandings tore them apart. Ten years passed and neither could shake the other from their mind or their hearts and fate brought them back together. The chemistry between them is undeniable even when they haven’t realized that know each other, there’s that pull between them. I loved watching them discover each other again. There are so many parts that made me laugh out loud, swoon and tear up. This book is so good that I can’t wait to read the next in this series. There are some amazing characters introduced that I can’t wait to learn more about!

Bryce and Gina have stolen my heart. This is a beautiful story of new beginnings, insecurities, and love that overcomes. Gina was severely injured while in the military which led to scarring. Bryce is the guy who every girl wants to meet. He looked past the brace face and the scars and saw a woman he wanted. You definitely are rooting for this couple to grab their happily ever after. Great characters and a wonderful story!

This was a good four star read.
After divorce Brynn is starting life over with her cat and following her dream of photography.
She ends up doing a job at a very ritzy home where she meets someone who will bring her in the path of someone from her past.

She also wins a radio contest to go to the hockey game. This is where she see’s Levi and he realizes who she is and old sparks start to fly. With a twist she ends up shooting a calendar for the team at Levi’s cabin. Will this finally be the time for them to reconnect? What will happen when the truth finally comes out?

Overall this was a good read. Brynn had me LOL with her thoughts, she was quirky and down to earth. Levi was of course the hot hockey player who wanted his first love back. There are twists and turns and the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a fun 2nd Chance romance 1-click and get started today.

I enjoyed reading this book. The story progressed at a nice pace although the two main characters were quite frustrating with all of the miscommunicating going on. I wanted to throttle them both while i was reading. Gina is a strong willed woman who takes no flack. I think being an army Sargant that has seen action does that to people. But I’m glad Bryce tried to make things work and gets her to listen and work things out. Bryce’s character is sweet and understanding and had me drooling. It is a slow burn book and definitely has you crying out for more. This author is amazing when it comes to writing about army women. I cant wait to read more of her books!

When I first read the synopsis of this book, I was excited to read about this amazing Army sergeant who has left due injuries and turned to crafts such as quilts, and jewelry. I did not realize this was the third book in a series until after I started reading it and I am looking forward to going back and reading the first two books in order to get a little more of the back story. The story written here was detailed enough I could keep up and enjoy the book, but I feel I will love the characters even more after reading the first two books.

It was a very easy read, the story starts right from the first page and instant you are drawn in. A very light care free story that didn’t require a lot from the reader. It was a fun story with depth I was not expecting.

After their first encounter doesn’t go well because of a misunderstanding Bryce works hard to redeem himself and he quickly does, but is it ever going to be enough to win Gina’s love? She doesn’t make it easy on him from the start. Gina has things holding her back from truly opening up and allowing Bryce to simply love her. With everything she had been through and all her reservations they press on and something beautiful emerges from the pain she is hiding. I love that this book doesn’t shy away from talking about the hard things like PTSD, there are so many people living with it especially our men and women who have served our country.

Even though this book was a part of a series, it was written in a manner that it was a stand alone! In my opinion, this helps in making it such a good read! It was a light hearted romance with a young single life vibe! I really enjoyed how Gina’s history reflect what some of our veterans have experienced, this is what makes it easy to relate to. Gina has trust issues, rightfully so, therefore it takes a lot for her to open up to Bryce. As far Bryce, he seems like he can’t get enough of Gina or learning about her past. Can Bryce get in Gina’s heart and learn of her dark issues that cause her not to trust? Can Bryce show Gina a world she never knew existed? I suggest reading this wonderfully written book to find out!

A Hundred Wishes (Band of Sister) tells the story of former Army Sergeant Gina Fisher and Arson Investigator Bryce Cambridge. I enjoyed this story of a new chance at romance and finding out if someone can love you with all your scars. Gina is a great character who is really relatable despite her having gone through extraordinary circumstances. Bryce is a gentleman who has to show Gina that she deserves all the love in the world. The characters are interesting and likable. The story was good and kept me drawn into the book. I look forward to reading more from this author soon.

All I can say about this book it WOW! I am personally always a sucker for a second chance romance story and while this was my first one involving sports it definitely exceeded my expectations. This book is full of so much emotion, love, heartache and so much more that I just simply couldn’t put it down. Brynn has moved to a new city after her divorce, she is a strong beautiful woman who isn’t going to let another man stand in her way of her dream. Levi is strong and handsome, and while he’s from the wrong side of the tracks what will happen when his path crosses with Brynn? Will she allow herself to love him again? Or has the past done to much damage? You’ll have to read this fantastic second chance romance to find out for yourself.

This contemporary military romance story is the third book in this series. It is set in a small town and is the story of four women who are more than friends they are sisters but not by blood. It is full of witty banter, emotions, insecurities, and drama. This story is about Gina and Bryce, but can she overcome her fears and learn to trust again? The author has created something where the world building is described in detail, and the interesting characters are well developed. It has sizzling chemistry and sparks that burn hot that will have you needing a cool cold drink. I found myself frustrated with Gina at times, but it is an intriguing story that pulled me in.

Bryce is the all around perfect book boyfriend, and he stole my heart as much as he did Gina’s. Gina was a lovable character who had a brave façade, but so much inner turmoil due to what she saw physically and remembered mentally. The bombing took away a large part of her, and Bryce is that that person to help her see herself and get it back. Her and Bryce had misunderstandings, drama, and much self doubt to each overcome to obtain their HEA.
This was such a beautiful story, and it was more than just the typical romance of boy gets the girl. The amount of emotional depth and self acceptance in this book spoke volumes.

A good start with this first book in the series that is a second-chance contemporary hockey romance tale. I enjoyed the wit and antics from his teammates who offered an ongoing supply of commentary and had me laughing. There are characters that you will fall in love with and others you just want to strangle. A kid from the wrong side of the track who falls in love but finds her again after many years of heartbreak. Insecurities, heartache, and doubts, not to mention walls built to protect and it is a hard road to rekindle a fated love, or is it? Sizzling chemistry and the back-and-forth banter with these two leads to an interesting tale that had me immersed in their world.

I knew straight up Gina was going to be highly spirited and that I was going to love her. This book is filled with wonderful characters and a rocky emotion filled road to love. This was a fun one to get lost in and devour! I have never had the chance to experience this author before but I can tell you it won’t be my last that is for sure! I just loved this steamy and sassy read and I had no idea what I was going to get when I picked it up. Normally I love sports romances and the cover and blurbs with a few teasers sold me when they crossed my timeline. I knew I had to see what the outcome would be after Brynn smacks Levi in the nuts lol. I was not disappointed at all. This book really dove so much more into matters of the heart. I found myself laughing out loud, oohing and ahhing at the sweetness at times, finding it smexy hot and smoldering, and downright angst at others. It had all the pieces I needed for the perfect romance and really it kept me up way past my bedtime because I just needed to know how these two would play out and if they would get the happily ever after. I am excited that this will be the beginning of a series so there will be more to come from Astoria Bay Thunder. I will for sure be back for more!

I really enjoyed the story of Gina and Bryce.  She was a very likable character and was easy to connect to.  I loved the development of her relationship and how they grew together despite their insecurities.   The tight knit relationships with her band of sisters was heartwarming especially with all that she endured in life.  I saw that this is book 3 of the series and it really read well as a stand-alone.  I usually feel like I’m missing something when it’s the second, third or fourth book even though the stories aren’t completely connected.  I would definitely like to read others in the set!
