I have read a few of Nicole’s books and have fallen in love with her writing. This is the fourth and the last book in this original and refreshing series. It is also one of my favourite series. In this book we see our couple going from young love to the trials and tribulations of trying to keep a marriage together. Returning to Bunya Junction may just be what is needed to put things back in perspective. But will the lies and secrets be too much? There are many emotions at play in this story that at times felt like your heart was going to break.
I see that Nicole has SEAL books, so I am now off to read them.

How can you not love the Titans of Manhattan? They are so sexy and so unobtainable. Mason was not looking for anything because he had it all. Besides being a Titan, he was also the owner of some of the hottest clubs across the country. He didn’t know what hit him when he met Rhyann. She was just trying to work her way through dance school. Mason was not what she needed, but it was what she wanted. I love the chemistry between these two. I loved this as much as I have loved all the other books in this series.

Kayden and Liam made me fall in love! It was a beautiful second chance romance. It rang out true that real/true love conquerors all and for these 2 it did. They had to work through many issues and Liam had to prove that he was a new man, but they were able to overcome it all. Its truly a great story wrapped in a pretty package, and it will stick with you. Love, drama, and forgiveness at its best!

How I love this series so much…..and this 4th book is no exception! The story of Yolanda and Michael pick up at the end of book 3. I highly highly recommend reading this series in order as the the characters continue in each of the books.

The love that Yolanda and Michael have….really made my heart happy but yet misunderstandings, sadness and fear get in the way of their marriage. When Yolanda decides to take a break and re-evaluate the marriage, she decides to return home back to Bunya Junction. Michael gives her a little space but decides to go and fight for his marriage and back to Bunya Junction as well. With the roller coaster of marriage of fears, misunderstandings and loss, will Yolanda and Michael find their way back to each other? Definitely read to find out.

I also love the fact that the characters continue within each book and you really get to know the family. I just loved this series and I highly recommend reading these books. They are fabulous.

Get ready for all the feels! From page one I was excited to read Micheal and Yolanda’s story. I’ve read some others in this series and found I easily read them as a standalone but will be reading them all. This may be my top pick in this series but it’s a hard choice for sure. But this one just pulled at my heart a different way is the only way I can describe it. These two brought me so deep into their story and world that I simply didn’t want to leave them. I love a great second Chance romance story and that’s exactly what this author brought. It’s well written with characters that just draw you in and can easily connect with. So excited for more from this author! Five stars and highly recommended!

Cosplay Worthy by Quiana Glide – Review by Santana Hicks

This book was so adorkable to read! (yes I know I spelt it wrong) The main character is so cute. Layla is nerdy, introverted and shy. When she gets a chance to meet her favorite comic book writer Vic, she is over the moon. At the comic con, dressed as her favorite character from Vic’s comic, she approaches Vic’s signing booth with a bundle of nerves. They commented on her cosplay and she was at a loss for words.

Later that evening at a party, she once again comes across Vic. They had a nice evening full of easy conversation. That was the end of that. Or so she thought.

After posting online the images from the comic con, Vic commented on some of them and sent her a friend request. Layla could not believe it. Time goes on and they continue talking online forming a relationship. I really like how the author got the characters to get to know each other before jumping in like a lot of other romance novels.

Everything seems to be against them, they live across the country from each other, there is an age gap, different race, he’s famous and she’s not. All of this causes Layla to second guess everything especially herself.

Throughout the book, Layla battles with low self esteem. I loved the way the author wrote Layla as a character. She was flawed which made her more real. I also resonated with a lot of Layla’s personality traits which made the book that much more interesting to me. Honestly, if the author wrote Layla based on themselves, I could see us being best friends in real life.

Sometimes I read such heavy books and need a sweet romance to clear my mind. That’s exactly what I got with this book. Kayden and Liam truly stole my heart. This story is about giving first love a second Chance. It’s everything you could possibly want from a sweet second Chance romance. You can’t help but feel every emotion the author brings into the story. You also can’t help but root for Liam and Kayden, the draw you in so easily. It’s a sweet story that’s well written and paced nicely! Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

A lovely sweet contemporary romance with a second chance at love theme, which kept me happily turning the pages. Kayden James and Liam had a relationship when they were younger which ended badly, having both moved on and achieved great things career wise, neither of them have met ‘the one’. Successful marriage and family therapist, Kayden thought she had put the past behind her until, Liam, the man who broke her heart turns up years later, claiming he’s changed. Liam’s one regret was letting Kayden slip through his fingers, and he’s determined to prove to her that he’s changed, and that she can trust him, but she’s not making it easy for him. I liked both Kayden and Liam’s characters and could feel the chemistry between them, but could also understand Kayden’s reluctance at giving Liam a second chance. However, I was cheering them on hoping they would both get their HEA. This was a fairly quick read, but an enjoyable and engaging one with a heartwarming storyline and likeable characters.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance. It was so nice to read a book where the characters start out in a relationship and have to navigate through that. The complexity and the attention to detail really drew me into the book. I thought it was a sweet and heartwarming story and I really found myself getting behind the characters.
I like how the author brings something different to each book in this series. They all have the same feel but also stand out from the others. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to what is still to come.

This is the third book in this series and what a story it was. The author had me flipping pages so fast because I honestly couldn’t get enough of what I was reading. Rhyann was an amazing lead character, I really loved her. She had such an amazing strength about her and she wasn’t afraid to follow her dreams. Mason was everything I wanted from a leading male character and more. There was just something about him that drew me in and the chemistry between these two was just off the charts. I absolutely loved this story and I would highly recommend it to others! I can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future!

Another hit in this series! The author does a wonderful job weaving another steamy romance in this story with Mason and Rhyann. I was curious how the author would tackle Mason’s story, the playboy that he is, but the story was believable, engaging, and authentic to who he is a person. Rhyann was a lovely addition to the series and loved her character development.

This author continues to slay this series with an engaging writing style and twists and turns in the story to keep the reader intrigued. I love the way the author develops characters and writes reliably wonderful stories! I can’t wait for the next!

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Karyn Taylor

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this book we get the story of the 4th, and final, Carruthers sibling, youngest child Yolanda. We really didn’t hear much about Yolanda in the first 3 books until she appeared unexpectedly at the end of book 3.
Yolanda has been living in the city with her husband Michael and 3 year old daughter Jayne. Their marriage is going through a rocky patch so she decides to come home to Bunya Junction to get a break and to re-evaluate her life.
This is different from most other romance books in that the couple are already married. This is the very angsty tale of how Michael follows Yolanda and tries to win her back.
I really did enjoy Michael and Yolanda’s story. It’s very much a story of how a lack of communication can lead to such strife. If only they would talk to each other about how they are truly feeling. Although if they did that, we wouldn’t get this great angsty story to get our teeth stuck into.
I loved that we got to see all 4 couples from this series but I’m now gutted that this series has come to an end. I will definitely read this book (and the rest of the series) again.

This has been one of the most beautiful series I have ever read. They can be read as stand alone. This book is beautiful, heart warming and almost true to life. The challenges Michael and Yolanda face are real and can be heartbreaking if you let them. Some familiar faces pop up in the story and Bunya Junction has become a bit like home. The details in the plot feel like you are there in the Outback with the characters. There are a few twists thrown in. As I mentioned, the issues are real, which make this story so engaging and one that you are involved in from the beginning straight through. I couldn’t put it down. Touched my soul all the way down. I would give it more than a 5 if I could. It’s going on my Best of 2022 list. I highly recommend this book to all who love to read.

This book was a very good depiction of how to handle situations that aren’t easy, and are emotionally painful, when you are trying to forgive someone for inflicting pain with their carelessness. I found the characters relatable and well formed, as well as the scenery and the storyline. This book is very good, and Cherry Christensen is a gifted author with much insight. I liked that there wasn’t a ton of unnecessary drama, but enough to keep the storyline moving and keep the characters growing and maturing while working toward rekindling their romance of days past, without a full walk down memory lane. I was engaged and interested from the moment I picked it up, and fell asleep while trying to finish because I was too close not to and didn’t want to put it down. I would highly recommend this book.

This is the fourth book in this series which I have enjoyed from the first book in this series. This can be read as a standalone series which I highly suggest doing to help your enhancement of this series and of this author’s writing skills. I enjoyed this romance story about Micheal and Yolanda and their second chance at love. As they separate, Yolanda goes back home with their daughter trying to make a clean break. Michael has something else in mind. What will happen when he shows up determined to put his marriage back together. What will fate have in store for these two? Will they get their second chance at love? I enjoyed these two characters and how they pop off the pages. They took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that kept me coming back for more. They are relatable and have great chemistry. I also enjoyed their growth throughout the story. They had me wanting them to get back together so they could once again be happy. This is a great story that is fast paced and hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is one of the cutest romance books that I have read in a while. Clover is a waitress trying to get by, saving herself for her man. Shamrock is a ladies man with a reputation. When these two meet up, the sparks fly. Problem is, she meets him as Patrick. Can she still love him once she learns his nickname? This author did a fantastic job. Fun story. Well-written characters that were totally relatable. They could have been your best friends. I would love to see more like this. Maybe in a Benihana, lol. Please, from a reader eagerly awaiting more? I would definitely give it more than a 5 if I could. Highly recommend.

Checking Boxes by Magdoline Ward – Review by Donna Parrott

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was thoroughly surprised by this book. It hit me. I’m my feelings and I don’t know how I will recover. This author should definitely be in the angst category. I am just saying I bawled my eyes out.

Grace is sick and tired of her roommates activities. She has a plan and goals for herself that she needs to accomplish. Ian is her neighbor who just happens to be looking for a new roomie. The only thing he requires is a home cooked meal every night. A healthy home cooked meal I should say. Sweet deal if I do say so myself. Especially with all the chemistry they have.

When it’s decided that she will move in with Ian he has secrets that make her curious about who he really is. But Ian also has suspicions of his own. They both have skeletons in the closet.

When the chemistry between them heats up one night those skeletons start to unravel and they both have to decide if the past can be welcomed in the future.

I was so shocked when the twists finally unraveled I cried my eyes out for Grace, for Ian. Everything they went through to get where they are hit you right in the gut.  I will be honest that I started to piece together that they knew each other but I just wasn’t sure how.  Grace is a strong character that you can’t help but cheer on.  She has had a rough go of things that makes you want to wrap her up and never let her out.  But at times I wanted to shake her and help her piece together how they are intertwined.  Now Ian what a man.  He just wants to be connected with Grace again.

This author has a way with words that sucks you into this book.  It plays like a movie in your head and when it’s over you can’t help but feel like your life has no meaning.  I am looking forward to many more books from this author.

Kiss of the Swan by Natalina Reis -Review by Jennifer Ramos

Kiss of the SwanKiss of the Swan by Natalina Reis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an amazing read of another classic retelling! Natalina Reis’ rendition of the classic stories of Hans Christian Anderson and Grimm’s fairy tales will bring readers of these familiar tales and new readers towards curiosity to a new adventure.

This story takes us to the Kingdom of Nem, where King Rian is doing all that he can to ensure an heir to his throne. When his son is finally born, a witch casts an evil spell that when the child turns 18 years of age, everyone in the Kingdom including the King will fall into a deep slumber.

As the years go by, the reader is introduced to Cathal and his younger brother, Odhran. Now as young men, Cathal had grown up protecting the evil wrongdoings of his younger brother as a result of their mother’s dying wish. Odhran tended to have a hurtful and sadistic nature, while Cathal was the complete opposite of being gentle and kind to others. Encounters with some swans nearby had landed Odhran in a special prison while Cathal recovers from being attacked. Under the care of Queen Eala and her family, Cathal learns of his brother’s actions and tries to justify his lack of protection while his brother is under his watchful eye.

As Cathal heals physically and mentally from such a taxing ordeal of years long hardship he endured as a result of Odhran’s harmful actions, he starts appreciating the simple things of life, nature, and love. Such simple life experiences Cathal hasn’t had the opportunity to cherish being the protector to his brother. At the same time, secrets start to come to light when he learns where he is and the people taking care of him. Things he never knew such as magical creatures, witches, and most importantly, family secrets that intertwined the futures of these brothers.

Seductively Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 3) by Anise Storm – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

Seductively Yours (Titans Of Manhattan, #3)Seductively Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Titan, Mason Steele, is a life-long bachelor who owns a handful of nightclubs around the states. He is a man who has a different girl all the time until he meets Rhyann one night at his club, and indulges in a hot romance in the bathroom. Rhyann is a small town girl from Kansas with a dream of being a dancer. While trying to make her way through dance school, her girlfriend and her decide to get jobs as exotic dancers, at one of Masons’ clubs; little did she know he was the owner. Rhyann quickly became one of the favorites among the men in the club, which included Mason. Rhyann struggles with trying to find herself in this big city, follow her dreams, and find respect as a woman. Will the boundaries that need to be displayed work to fight their feelings of lust, or was their amazing one night stand way more than that?

Seductively Yours is one of my favorites in this series. The characters involved are dynamic, real, and seductive. Rhyann is a sweet, but badass, driven woman that catches the attention of Mason who is dangerous, but sweet. He is also driven, honest, and respectful all while being sexy as hell. The chemistry the two characters have reels you in to hope they each can figure it out and find a happy ending. I will say, while in all of this author’s Titan stories there are steamy story lines, this one takes the cake. I could have read about the romance between these two all day!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. This is the third book in the Titans of Manhattan Series. Seductively Yours is a great read and will keep you entertained.

Rhyann is moving from Manhattan, Kansas to Manhattan, New York. She loves dancing and gets into a school for it in New York. Leaving her family behind she soon finds herself a new one in New York. The quote I chose for Rhyann is: “Then my name wouldn’t matter. As long as I was moaning out ‘more,’ ‘please,’ or ‘oh God,’ then you wouldn’t really give a damn. Am I wrong? I might not be from around here, but I know your type. It’s the same in any city.”

Mason is finally back in Manhattan and gets a show when he goes to his club, The Vault. A new girl shows her stuff on the dance floor and they get it on in the bathroom. Mason doesn’t expect to see her again. The quote I chose for Mason is: “You’re going to be the f***ing death of me yet.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

I loved reading this sweet romance story. This is one of my favorites by this author. I have loved reading this author from the first book I picked up by her. She pulls you into her stories by her great writing skills as well as her attention to details. She pulls you into the story from the beginning. This book is no different. This is a well written story that is shorter but it packs a punch for sure. A story about a sweet romance between two people who are searching for love. They won’t see what fate has in store for them until it hits them. The characters are connectable and have great growth throughout the story. I also enjoyed their chemistry which made me laugh in parts. This is an easy and entertaining story that is worth the pick up. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Sugar, spice and everything nice
Book 3 of the series and we have Mason and Rhyann’s story. I loved the previous Titan’s books and have been patiently waiting for this instalment. I devoured it. There was the right balance of emotional drama, sexy times and storyline to keep my glued right until the end. The characters are well developed and there was a natural flow – the relationships did not feel forced. Each of the books in the series can be read as a stand-alone even though there are crossovers from each book. But, there is information in each book that gives more depth to each book. Now to wait for the next book.

This is the third book of the Titans of Manhattan series, and can be read as a standalone; although I highly recommend reading the first two (they’re great). This is Mason and Ryann’s story, and it’s a wonderful story! I adore all of the characters in this whole series, but I absolutely love Mason and Ryann. The author does such a beautiful job writing about difficult subjects. I’m so glad Ryann’s character was written the way she was; she is strong and fierce yet vulnerable. And Mason… he’s perfect in so many ways. This book is awesome. It has a great flow, keeps you wanting more, has perfect characters, and the chemistry of the characters is off the charts HOT!

Grace and Ian took me places I was not ready to go! I cried and cried and of course I also swooned, laughed, and felt every emotion each step of the way with these two. This was truly a story of 2 people needing each other and coming together at the right time unexpectedly. The way the pieces came together blindsided me. The mystery surrounding them both and the relationship that developed unfolded beautifully. This author stole my heart with this book, and I am so happy I was along for Grace and Ian’s journey.

This was such a delightful read. i t had tender moments, and wonderful characters development. I smiled a lot as as I read on through. I really enjoyed the story and the wonderful characters. I was very lucky to come across this book and enjoy reading it. I do say it is a quick but fun read.

They say opposites attract, do they not? I found this was the case with this story. Two very different souls, basically night and day, that might have something so good and real, that pure luck could be doing its spell, but at the same time, sometimes the heart just knows! I loved reading this sweet story, The character development as well as opening hearts was defiantly three. It did not take me long before I finished the book I had a fun time, and it is one that made me feel happy as I read. Loved it!

Quick and fun read, with diverse moments of happiness and cuteness as well. I found the characters had their own sense of quirkiness as well. It was a cute read and I do highly recommend this book!

Checking Boxes is a Contemporary Romance with just the right amount of suspense. I honestly wasn’t expecting what I just devoured. What I got was one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride that had my emotions all over the place. This is a fairly new author to me and I will say this I’m a fan and can’t wait to see what other books they have written. This is definitely one of those books that you will not be able to put down. The style of writing drew me in from the beginning and kept ahold way past the end. The characters are simply amazing and everything flowed so nicely. This is Ian and Grace’s story. She finds herself in a situation where she needs to move as soon as possible. She answers a ad for a roommate from her neighbor Ian. The catch is for rent she only has to cook for him. Sounds great right? There is definitely chemistry between them. Ian has a secret one he’s trying to keep hidden. What will happen when the secret is out? What does the future look like for these two? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.
