The characters were wonderful in this book, completely believable, and one of my favorite aspects was how both Bryce and Gina tackled their issues in healthy ways. Gina has some insecurities about her scarred skin and Bryce has to face his fears of severe medical trauma, but despite those internal struggles, the two find themselves drawn to one another. Communication issues cause some bumps along the way, and the couple has to figure out how to grow together to have the healthy relationship they both want. Their friends are supportive and add a great element to the overall storyline. Super sweet book with great modeling for dealing with complex issues people face in relationships.
What do you do when justice can’t be served?! Tia ran and changed her life and her habits and recreated herself, her past however was right around the corner. This is one of my most enjoyable books this month. It is full of adventure and suspense. I love a good male MC that saves the day. This is book one of a series and I am so excited to know more. There is a slight trigger warning but it is not devastating. Just enough of the hold my breath moments that have you excited to reach the last page. I loved watching the relationship that Tia builds within her self and her savior. Ooooooo the cover does not do it justice you can feel that heat building but ….. Well written, quick and enticing. I’m honestly stuck between four and five stars but i deserves hype.

This story was deeply emotional and moving contemporary romance that will bring you to tears and fill your heart with hope and happiness. The story was very engaging and had me riveted to each word. I became heavily invested in this couple and they were endlessly entertaining. Sparks flew between them for the very beginning. But the tenacious, never back down personality of the leading man meant that the leading lady was in for a hum dinger of a battle. Keeping her distance was an impossibility, and locking down feelings was a lost cause. Masterfully written and intricately thought out. These characters were expertly interwoven and the reader will be left with many fond memories. 4 stars.
This book was interesting, I was definitely intrigued by time I was done with chapter 2. I could not put it down. When Tia goes into hiding because of her past and meets Theo who is a detective, she automatically pushes him away because of her ex who is a police officer. She’s terrified, only Theo can unlock her heart and show her that she is safe.

Oh my lanta this book! I don’t know how this author did it! They just wrote characters and made them realistic, and grow exponentially, and just did such an amazing job with the way they wrote their personalities. I always notice characters, because if I don’t like the characters or see true personalities I get bored. That was most definitely not a problem I had with this story! The suspense and relationship building between Theo and Sofia were top notch and 10/10 I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!

If you love second chance romance books do not hesitate to read this one! I absolutely loved Brynn and Levi’s story. Based on how the book began I truly thought it was headed in a completely different direction than it went. Brynn and Levi fell in love as young teenagers, she from money, he from the wrong side of the tracks. After things and people conspired to keep them apart for a decade they miraculously find their way back to one another, of course not without a few bumps in the road getting there. Do yourself the favor and read this one!

This was a great 5 star read. Sofia (Tia) has a secret, a secret that she holds very closely. But when she gets a text her fears come crashing down on her again. She is a little jumpy and cautious of her surroundings when she meets Theo. When Theo see’s her he is immediately drawn to her and wants to get to know her better. He has also seen something in her eyes that has pulled his detective instincts to the forefront. Who is she and why is she scared?
Of course Theo is persistent and finally gets Sofia to go on a date. Things take off from here. The chemistry between them comes off the pages. Sofia is slowly starting to trust Theo, although his career makes her nervous. Can she learn to fully trust him and get a HEA? A fast paced romantic drama that leaves very little to the imagination. While I think the author had a great idea for a plot there are a few plot holes and it feels like some of the characters didn’t get as fully fleshed out as they should have. That said it’s not a bad story. I love the way Sofia/Tia’s character plays off the plot and off Theo. Domestic violence never ends well but Sofia has gone into hiding to protect herself. When she meets Theo sparks fly. When she starts receiving frightening text messages Theo pulls out all the stops to keep her safe. Overall a good read! I am excited to see where this author takes us for book 2.

This book was purely one of the most amazing romance/suspense novels that I have read in a long time. This book was full of a whirl wind romance, drama, suspense, friendship and so much more that I found it increasingly hard to put it down. Tia (Sophia) is running from her abusive cop ex boyfriend and his goons. She crashes into hot sexy Theo who also happens to be a cop. Will Theo spook her or will she fall for his sexy smile, and dreamy eyes? When Theo finds out about her past and that Dane is trying to find her, will he take care of her or will he run away? You’ll have to read this amazing romance/suspense novel to find out what happens between Sophia and Theo. Trust me you won’t regret it.

This is my fist read for this Author. This book for me, was way too fast paced. There was a good base to the story, but it was really rushed and a little unbelievable. Tia and Theo had a love at first sight meeting, but with her past she was not easy to trust. A Hundred Wishes is part of the Band of Sisters series. I haven’t read any of the others, but I likely will. I really enjoyed this book and the writing style. While it was narrated by a 3rd person perspective, there are parts that are more focused on each character and their feelings. I like that it was romantic, and had some hot scenes, but wasn’t overly graphic and raunchy. The developing relationship between Gina and Bryce was sweet. The characters are very real and down to earth. Their feelings and problems are realistic. I like the bond Gina has with her “sisters” and Bryce with his friends and family. There are parts that made me laugh and nearly cry. The ending though, really? REALLY?! How could you do that to us??? Now I NEED to read the next book for sure!

This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed this alot. Was pretty fast paced, coming in at just under 200 pages so made for a quick read as well. Was a really great story but i felt I wanted more in some places but thats me being greedy. Sofia (Tia) is a woman who is hiding from her past, a dangerous past and she thought that after a year in hiding, she may be finally free from that which haunts her, but when she receives a text reminding her that there is no escape. Theo is a Detective who is recovering from a deadly wound and trying to keep focussed on that so that he can get back to work sooner rather than later.
One one snowy day near Christmas, it starts out as any other day, however, when Sofia and Theo literally bump into each other when Sofia isn’t concentrating and her phone shoots out of her hand as a consequence, this leads Theo to give it back to her and it is at this moment that their lives change. Their eyes connect and everything around them is forgotten as she becomes tongue tied and he just tries to get an answer from her, but the spell is broken when reality comes back in and they carry on with their day.
The only problem is that they bump into each other again, however, as soon as Sofia finds out that he is a detective, her walls slam down and she shuts him out, but he is not going to give up on her that easily and it doesn’t help that Sofia cannot stop thinking about Theo, despite the fact that he is a cop. Neither of them can deny that their is an attraction there, but danger lies around every corner for them. Will Sofia open her heart again despite everything pointing to the contrary opinion and will Theo be able to convince Sofia that he is not what she expects a Detective to be? This is a fast paced romance which is action packed and full of twists and turns which will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat throughout.

She lives looking over her shoulder for a year before he finds her. An eerie text message from him has resounding effects.
Theo Ellis was on his way to the gym to start working out after on the job injury left him on desk duty. Theo ran into a beautiful woman that won’t leave his mind. When Theo realizes where she was headed, he knows that he has a second chance to impress this mystery woman. Theo introduces himself and explains that he is a police detective, Tia states that she doesn’t trust the police and walks out of his life. Every protective and cop instinct tells Theo that Tia is in trouble and needs help but it won’t be easy to get her to let him in. A few days later, Theo happens to have an appointment at the holistic healing center where Tia works. Somehow he convinces Tia/Sofia to give him a chance.
When a second eerie text comes in while they are at dinner, Theo kicks plans into high gear. Soon, Tia finds herself living in Theo’s home and under his protection. Will she be able to trust another police officer to keep her safe? Can she fight her past to allow happiness with Theo?

This contemporary romantic suspense story had me gripped from start to finish. Tia is a women on the run from an abusive ex boyfriend, her real name is Sofia. Tia is in hiding and not looking forward to spending the holidays on her own, when she receives an anonymous text message. Having stayed away from men, and especially cops she is surprised when she is fascinated by Theo, a detective, who is determined to find out the truth surrounding her. Theo, is recovering from a serious wound but the more he learns about Tia/Sofia he wants to help her. He is surprised when he feels the need to protect her, not just because she’s in danger but because she is his, and he protects what is his. The storyline had plenty of romance, drama and suspense to keep me happily turning the pages, and the plot twists kept me guessing until the last page. I felt engaged with the characters, especially Sophia and Theo and enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. Their chemistry really came across in the writing, and the author brought both them and the setting to life with her descriptive narrative. This is a new author to me, and I look forward to reading more of her novels.

Once I started reading this book I was drawn to these characters Theo and Tia, who is actually Sofia. Theo just happens to be a cop on leave on his way to the gym to aid his recovery from an on the job injury when he literally runs smack into Tia. Tia is a woman on the run. She is running from her abusive, controlling, emotionally destroying ex Dane who happens to be a cop in another department. They have an immediate attraction to each other. Although Theo and Tia don’t realize how closely connected their cases really are. I’m usually not one to read books that are on the shorter side, the longer the better usually, but I think the author packed so much into the pages of this book that I did not feel like the story lacked at all. It moved along quickly but I didn’t feel let down and it didn’t detract from the story at all. Etched in this moment was a good romance that ended up being a wild ride to the finish!

I’m always on the lookout for a book that I can easily sink into and this one definitely provided that. The characters are relatable and easy to connect with. Sofia is a strong character taking back her life and I loved reading it. It’s got romance, drama, suspense and a dash of steam to heat up the pages. It’s a faster paced story that I couldn’t put down. Well written with characters you can’t help but love. This is a new to me author and I’m definitely excited to see what other stories I can find. Four huge stars and highly recommended!

The first book of a series really sets a tone for what is to come, and let me just say I am now super excited for the next book! Sophia (Tia) is hiding from her ex when she literally runs into Theo. The attraction is mutual and intense. Can she trust him? Can he help her live again? I loved this story. It was fast paced and awesome.

This is a modern romance with diverse characters. Readers are immersed into a family that chose each other. This family is often contrasted with families that characters are born into. We learn about physical healing as well as emotional healing. While rooting for our protagonists to make it, readers are guided to the idea that it may be impossible. A nice allusion to the well-known fact that we must all make choices throughout our lives, and sometimes the consequences of our choices are not pleasant.
I really enjoyed this story. I do wish that some of it was expanded a little because it felt like a rush throughout to me. I would have liked a slower burn for Theo and Tia. I feel that she gave up her trust too easily especially with all she sustained. I liked Theo’s character and how he handled the situation once he was given all the information. I would definitely read more by this author.

This is a fast paced story that really hits the ground running. It throws you straight into the storyline and the lives of the characters. I thought the characters worked well together. It was a little hard to believe how quick the relationship seemed to progress sometimes but they had a strong connection that fit with the story. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed the writing style. I enjoyed how fast paced the book was and therefore how quick I read it. This book is a great way to pass an afternoon.

This was my first book in the series and by this author. This is a great stand alone book that does not require the previous books to have been read. Gina’s hobby sounds like a lot of fun even though I know a lot of work goes into it. Although I didn’t love this book, I did like it. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was it was hard for me to see the love between Gina and Bryce when the lust is so high in the beginning. This is more of an “insta-lust” book instead of an “insta-love” book and that threw me off at first.

This book is a short, but amazing read. I absolutely love how Theo is what Tia (Sophia) needs and makes her feel safe. Romance books are my weakness, and this book just drew me in. I couldn’t put it down at all. If you love books with a detective who wants to make his loved ones feel safe this book is for you!

I really enjoyed this book. It deals with everyday issues that most of us are trying to cope with. Not necessarily the military side but the many insecurities that us women have. This has to be one of the best stories of the year. I love a well written love story, but when real people are involved, it makes it that much better. This author brought Gina and Bryce ‘ s story to life. Gina is retired military, after an explosion she finds herself injured, not just body but mentally as well. She does not let that keep her down though. She has her Band Of Sisters, who help her get through the healing process. But more than that, she has her crafts and even a teaching class online for children. So she has almost everything she could ask for, except for romance. She tries to keep that out of her life. Bryce however has fallen for this beautiful woman that wants nothing to do with him. Bryce has secrets too, so romance is not in his cards as well. But we all know that romance is going to happen no matter how hard we hide from it. If it can happen it will. Read this story to find out how Gina and Bryce learn to trust, laugh, grow stronger and yes fall in love. This story is a fast read and the roller coaster of emotions is faster. Get ready for this non stop ROMANCE.
Brynn and Levi’s story of finding their way back to each other is filled with comedy, regret, heart break and ultimately love. Brynn has just getting on her feet and working to keep her independence, she really wants to stand on her own two feet. She wants no help from her family which from the bits and pieces you get throughout the story makes perfect sense. She decides to return to her passion, photography. With a bit of a ruff start on that front she takes side jobs taking pictures at events. One such job is the start of reuniting her with her first love, Levi. While working a birthday party Brynn meets Bridger, who takes her card and later contacts her about a job taking photos for a team fundraiser. After accepting the job Byrnn wins a radio contest to on of the hockey games. From here, Brynn and Levi start back on the road to finding each other, learning who the other is now, working through past hurts. Will they be able to have what they once did? Power play is worth the read to find out. It has great support charterers, flows well even has a bit of comedy. There were a few areas I would have liked more of the back story to, but those places do not take away from the story. I would recommend reading this book. It is worth it.

This book was a great read, with plenty always happening, it is quite fast paced. Wonderful characters draw you into the sometimes very intense storyline making you feel a part of the story. I was definitely on the side of the two main characters Sofia and Theo while also hoping something really terrible would happen to the bad guy of the story! I decided very early in the story that he absolutely deserved something really bad while Sofia and Theo deserved a very HEA. To me it is the sign of a truly great author, when the characters become real to you as you read along.

This book had me smiling right away! Reading what Brynn thinks of some security guards she interacts with as the photographer hired for a 7year old birthday party. If you have me smiling while reading, you’ve got me hooked. I enjoyed reading how Brynn and Levi find each other again after other failed relationships. Having a second chance with someone you were in love with when you were young is amazing. I’m so glad I gave this book a chance. Can’t wait to read more!

This sweet romance with some spice was such a great read! It has real life issues to make you relate to Brynn and Levi. And all the other characters! I love Tia and her bold personality not to mention her protective nature for Brynn. A lot can happen in ten years and that’s exactly what Levi and Bryan realize when they stumble back into each others lives. With the way things ended and all the time that has passed its hard to see a future. Fate may have other plans for these two! This is definitely a great read!

For lack of a better name, sports-based romances are slowly becoming a new favorite romance trope of mine! I read a few last year that I absolutely loved and was reminded why when reading this book! One thing I particularly liked about Brynn and Levi’s story is that there is a definite role reversal going on here in that the moment Levi sees Brynn he knows what he wants and begins to pursue her, not the other way around like it normally is. I was also quick to connect with Brynn due to her complicated relationship with her mother and seeing many similarities to my own relationship with my mom. I was happy that this isn’t the end of the series, and am excited to read the next book in the story!
