Home to the Outback By Nicole Flockton is a wonderful story set in the outback town of Bunya Junction. It was fantastic to read a book set in Australia and Ms Flockton gave us a great storyline with characters full of heart and depth that you might not have expected when first starting the book.

Dr Ryan Flanagan Returns to the one place he never thought he would step foot into again and is left a partnership in a private practice he certainly had not asked for. Feeling he needs to keep a promise he made, he decides to give it a go, at least for a while. The other half of the partnership is Sindy Carruthers, and even though he knows he should not complicate things his attraction to her is impossible to ignore. He knows he has so much to work out and a town to win over but can he have something with Sindy as well? At the same time Sindy is battling with her attraction to the gorgeous Dr and her fears of the past repeating itself and hurting her again.

In this endearing story, Bernadette Marie introduces us to a team of characters. This story focuses on Rachel and Craig, but without the team the story wouldn’t be the same. The bonds shared between the friends and family in series will keep you coming back for more.

Rachel Diaz, daughter of a beloved basketball coach, is picking up the pieces of her heart once again. Rachel’s father has just passed away. His team, a group of five now men, have all agreed to be pallbearers. The only problem is that the love of Rachel’s life, the one that broke her heart, is one of those five. Craig Turner had dealt with plenty of his own issues. His drunken father that showed up for all of two minutes was part of the reason Craig left town, left Rachel. When he received the call to honor his coach, Craig knew he would see her but was he ready? Does he still love her? Will she even talk to him after ten years apart?

This story of redemption, forgiveness and second chances is heartfelt and wonderfully told. The characters are all regular people just trying to live their lives and find their way. Rachel, Catherine, Alex, Toby, Craig, Ray, and Bruce are interconnected and woven throughout each other’s lives in ways they are just starting to realize. As the series continues, I look forward to reading about each one! I love this casual, cozy series.

This was a very heartfelt novel. The author brings the past and future together for both Ryan and Sindy to life with tenderness. They have damaged pasts they need to heal from, making trust a huge issue for both.. Ryan is a prominent plastic surgeon in the big city of Sydney until he is blindsided. Sindy is a nurse for the local doctor. Due to unforeseen circumstances he is rushing back to Bunya Junction at lightning speed. Sindy and Ryan cross paths for reasons they both can not comprehend. Life is about to take a turn for the two of them. Looking forward to book 2

Beaten, humiliated, isolated. Her sons leave for school and she has had enough. She leaves with the help of her neighbor and a handsome pilot named Conrad.
Conrad wants live a simple life flying as much as possible. When he sees Callie and how desperate and broken she is he is pulled to her wanting to help her escape into a life free of fear. Where she can make her own choices for her life. He hopes some of those choices will involve him as he quickly starts to fall for the feisty woman that emerges once she’s free.
A story of abuse and it’s aftermath ending with a steamy romance. An emotional rollercoaster worth the read!

If you are looking for a suspenseful story with a little romance mixed in, look no further. Thia Finn has masterfully done that in this story. The more I read the book the more I needed to read what was coming next. I could not put the book down. Her descriptive writing paints a picture that would stay with me for a while. The characters are wonderful. They are fully developed and complex. Who knew that one can fall in love with a character like they are right there in the room with you. Callie is a sweet girl who is getting out of a horrible marriage. Her ex-husband is an abusive a-hole. CC Chapman is not sure if he is the right one to be with Callie. I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens between Callie and CC Chapman. Trust me is it worth the read.

Vanessa is a hairdresser and just wants her younger brother, Piper, to feel better. When her neighbor has a conversation with a good looking man, she becomes intrigued by him. What she doesn’t know is that he negotiates contracts with humans for their souls. While in New York City, looking for a doctor who can help her brother, she runs into his half brother and is also intrigued by him. Lurking closeby is yet another brother and each brother’s mother (who btw are not at all interested in Vanessa staying around.)
Opinion
I’ve read a lot of books that focus on Greek/Roman gods and demigods. This one takes on a new approach where the MC is interested in multiple brothers. She is pretty wholesome, which shouldn’t interest at least one brother, but they are interested.
The style of writing is completely fluid with short(ish) chapters. While I can see someone reading this book in small bursts, I personally read it in almost one setting. It has been quite a while since I have read a book without taking breaks. I enjoyed this book tremendously and anticipate the next two (which will be read within the next two days if I have anything to say about it.)

I’m in love with Ryan and Sindy in Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton. It’s such a sweet story of a guy returning to his home after tragedy and starting his life over.
I don’t know what small town living is like, and the world Nicole Flockton created is exactly how I would imagine it’s like.
Growing up in the North Eastern US, everything is so fast paced and most are rude and in a rush all the time. I’ve always felt out of place thinking I’m better suited for small town living. Which is why I love to escape into stories that are exactly like that.

I also love the character development displayed in this book. I really look forward to reading the next book in the series and then some. I will also try to check out other books by Nicole Flockton as well!
In conclusion, if you like a small town love story, that was initially a childhood crush, with reservations and complications along the way check it out!

This is a nice story. The two mc haven’t seen each other for years and he is her brother’s bestie from years ago. Those are some of my favorite tropes to read. While I enjoyed this story I didn’t love it. All the elements are there other than the narrative. There is a lot of thinking in their heads even while having conversations. So a couple pages could go by before one would answer the other. To be honest I just started skipping to the dialogue so I could stay in the moment.

I loved the idea of a small town in Australia. It’s different but yet the same and we meet some wonderful characters. Her brothers are great and I could see stories being built here.

Overall its nice, lighthearted and fun. I will check out others in this series.

An enjoyable and engaging read which had me hooked from page one and kept me happily turning the pages. Set in a small town in Australia, the authors descriptive narrative really brings Bunya Junction to life and I could picture the setting which made me feel fully immersed in the story. Nurse Sindy Carruthers returned to her home town following the break down of her relationship and was welcomed back and supported by both her family and the community. Sindy runs the local medical practice and is enjoying having her confidence back and not thinking about romance until her brothers old friend returns.
Dr. Ryan Flanagan is an renowned plastic surgeon to the stars and has only returned to Bunya Junction to pay his last respects to his friend and mentor, but then learns that he has been bequeathed half of the towns general medical practice. As he’s not a fan of Bunya Junction and the judgements of the townsfolk he’s unlikely to stay until he learns that the other half belongs to his closest friend’s twin sister, Sindy. The couple cannot deny their mutual attraction and instant chemistry, which came across in the narrative, but will a romance complicate them being business partners. This is a heartwarming romance between two likeable and relatable characters and I was cheering them on hoping they would get their happy ever after. I look forward to returning to Bunya Junction in the rest of this series.

Not only is he her mentor but he is also quite a few years older than her too. So, he waits and watches. In the meantime, poachers have invaded the turtle’s nests and are in danger. This really was a sweet story!

Home to the Outback by Nicole Flockton is the first book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. This is a really enjoyable story that I found myself easily swept up in. I really loved the characters in this book. They felt so real right from the word go, probably because you could see that they each had flaws.
This author really does know how to create easy reading, romance stories that are worth every minute of your time. I always love to sit down with one of her books, this one being no exception. A great story yet again and one I would definitely recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense novel which follows the story of CC Chapman, a pilot for Trident Security. Conrad works for a team who intervene in life or death situations and it’s his job to fly them in and out of danger. However when Jane, his sister in law asks him to help an abused women he feels more of a responsibility towards her than just flying her away from her husband who is likely to kill her. Callie is sure that her husband is going to kill her and her only chance to escape is with the help of her neighbours brother in law, Conrad. Conrad makes her feel like she can actually learn to live again and take a chance on living a real life, but can she also take a chance on Conrad. This is an enjoyable and engaging read where the main characters are both taking a second chance at love despite many obstacles. The storyline is full of suspense, action and plenty of romance. Conrad and Callie are both likeable and relatable characters and the chemistry between the couple does come across in the narrative. I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story, and it’s nice to have slightly more mature main characters falling in love in a novel.

You will fall in love with love during this book. It has everything that any romance reader could ever dream of. It contains suspense, character development, tragic life struggles, loves being brought back together due to unforeseen circumstances, and an amazing group of friends. The author keeps you on the edge of your seat by building the suspense about what happened and where things are going to go. The character development seems genuine and is completely relatable. You can feel the burn that the main characters have for each other, their love makes even the most skeptic people believe in love.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is a short sweet romance story that I read in one sitting. I’m a fan of this author and her attention to detail simply amazes me. This story is centered around the preservation of turtles and poachers. The things people will do for money simply amazes me. I love turtles and found this story to be very well written and rhe authors details made me feel like I was right there with them. Kya just started an internship at Merchant Marine Science Center where she finds herself kinda crushing hard on the boss’s son Jake . Jake is to me a jerk I didn’t really warm to his character as much as I did Dylan. He’s a marine biologist who takes great passion in his job so when yet another nest comes up missing he has to do something. Him and Kyra whom he is in love with set out to catch the poachers. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Honestly this book deserves all the stars, five isn’t even close to enough to convey how great I thought it was! This book is the beginning of Her Three Immortals Book series, revolving around characters, Vanessa, Grey, Raef Fox, and Aroz. The way their stories intertwined is so seamless and you can never guess what’s going to happen next. Vanessa’s brother is dying of cancer and she would do anything to help him recover.

Honestly this book was fantastic and had me giggling along and feeling emotional as the scenes changed. I have a feeling book 2 is going to give us even more information and development between the characters and I just can’t wait. So speaking of such, I’m off to read it! Read this book, you won’t regret it!

This book was intriguing from the start. So much is unknown and discovered as you go making for an interesting journey and a captivating read. The MC was fairly relatable, and the ties to family were beautiful to experience. There is still so much left unanswered! There are a few different ships in this book and I’m curious which one will sail. Or even better, will they ALL sail? I NEED ANSWERS. The book felt like a prologue, just the barest tip of the iceberg, and I’m so excited to dive into the rest of this series.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn is a brilliant story that really pulls you in. I loved reading about Callie and CC. I thought they were such interesting characters. Although I loved the romance around them I enjoyed so much more the depth that they both had. It felt like they were each their own character outside of the other and their connection just enhanced that.
The story was so well written. You are pulled straight into it and the book does not let go until the end. This is a highly enjoyable book and one I would definitely recommend.

Here is where Ryan Flanagan comes back to Bunyan Junction. Dr. Colin took him in as a child, he was Ryan’s mentor and the closest thing to a father. No spoilers will be found here. Read book 1 in this series to find out more of Sindy and Ryan’s story.
Nicole Flockton has laid this book out perfectly. Her characters are strong and lovable. This story is well written and a real page turner. Nothing has been left out. So much so, I would love to go visit Bunya Junction. Nicole Flockton has left nothing out! I am looking forward to reading the next in this series. Well Done Nicole Flockton! Well Done! !

Home to the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction #1) by Nicole Flockton

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Flockton. Flockton has a way of writing any of her books that capture the attention real quick. Home to the Outback is a wonderful start to a new series.

Sindy is a nurse and has to make a difficult call when it comes to losing her boss. When Ryan comes back to town her heart starts feeling things that it shouldn’t. When she realizes that a panic attack is sneaking up on her, Ryan steps up. The quote I chose for Sindy is: “Really? You think? I seriously don’t. The townsfolk expect to be able to go to their local doctor. They’ve done it for the last however many years. They don’t want to drive one and half hours to Waratah River. Not to mention the people in the towns surrounding us who looked forward to Colin’s visit. They’re not going to be happy to find out they no longer have a doctor who will visit them. That’s what’s going to happen if Ryan doesn’t stay and we can’t get a new doctor. Someone isn’t going to want to buy half a practice. They’d want to buy me out and they probably wouldn’t want to keep me on as well, so I’d be out of a job too. So, no, I don’t think Colin knew what he was doing.”

Ryan doesn’t want to move back to Bunya Junction, but does after his mentor dies. Meeting with Sindy and finding out that she now owns part of The Practice. Falling in love was never on his agenda, but it happens. The quote I chose for Ryan is: “Sindy, I don’t know what’s going on here. Something is bothering you. I can see it in the tenseness of your shoulders. I’m sorry that you had a boring day today. But I don’t know what else you want me to say or explain.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Four Stars
This story is slow to start. The main female character is torn between really liking two male characters. Kyra Shine is an intern at the Mon Repos Turtle Center.
Dylan is her direct supervisor and mentor, he has lots of interest in Kyra and is trying to fight it. Several years her senior, he cannont get her off his mind.
Jake Merchant is the son of the owner and founder of the Merchant Marine Science Center.
The story is centered around the poaching of eggs from turtle nests. And Kyra being attracted to and pursued by both Dylan and Jake. This is a quick read, but real slow to start.

I did enjoy it though.
If you are into marine life and turtles then great. Romance yes.
A bit of an adventure within the story.
I am big on series and this is a stand alone.
It could use more depth but to be honest it is a quick and easy read.
Light and entertaining.
The story is catchy and enticing so I give it four stars.
There is a bit of a sizzle in parts.
If your trope is student and teacher then go for it!
It is a quick and easy read that keeps you entertained.

Home To The Outback by Nicole Flockton is the first book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series. As usual, Ms. Flockton writes a beautiful, realistic story about relationships. Some are easy and others aren’t but it is part of life and I appreciate that the Ms. Flockton writes in this way.

After years of success working on rich people, Ryan found that he wanted to help those in need like burn victims. Unfortunately, he found that his business partner didn’t agree. Soon after cutting ties with his business partner, he receives a call that his mentor Colin was in a very bad accident. Sindy Carruthers returned to her home town of Bunya Junction after a bad relationship. Colin helped her regain her confidence and mad it possible to share her experience with her family. Sindy is working as a nurse in Colin’s office when the accident happens. After the funeral, Ryan and Sindy find themselves part owners of the medical practice Colin had owned. Sweet contemporary romance with a little bit of mystery that I definitely enjoyed reading. The romance in the story involves 2 men that vie for Kyra’s affections. Dylan is a marine biologist and also I love how he was devoted to preserving the turtle nests at the beach and more mature. Jake, whom is the son of Dylan’s boss, is a bit more irresponsible. At first, Kyra’s attraction to Jake was undeniable, but she also feels more sparks with Dylan. The bit of mystery that happens is whom is raiding the turtle nests at the beach and taking the eggs for their own greed. I really loved this story and how it flowed all together. I loved this sweet romance.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is a short but lovely book. It was easy to feel connected to the main character Kyra, a beautiful, smart young woman working as an intern at the Mon Repos Turtle Center. She has caught the eye of two men she works with – the “bad boy” and the “good guy” and navigates through the situation well. The story takes a turn when the scientists and conservationists find that someone is poaching the turtle eggs. This can devastate the sea turtle population. Can they work together to find the poachers and find love?

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn was such a detailed romance that I couldn’t put it down. This romance was filled with suspense, drama, angst, chemistry, and so much more that I just continues to flip page after page until I had no more to flip. The main characters are wonderful, and her word building skills made her plot and overall story line easy to follow. This story was so beautifully woven that I was pulled in from the very beginning and I never wanted it to end, I will definitely be looking for more by Ms. Finn.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is probably one of the sweetest contemporary reads that I have read in a long time. Not only did Ms. Mannersly impress me with her characters, word building, and plot but I loved that it was based around turtle conservation. Personally if all of her characters are like the ones in this book then I definitely look forward to reading more from Ms. Mannersly. With an amazing love story, a passion for saving animals and so much more how could you not love this book? So if your looking for a short contemporary romance this weekend I highly recommend A Natural Passion.

For a short read this book had a really great story jam packed into it. The authors writing style really flows well. As someone who believes in conservation efforts I really appreciated the efforts of the characters in this story. The push and pull between characters really makes this story stand out as a full length novel would in terms of story and character development. For a novella I actually really enjoyed all the drama, emotion, action and the little mystery. Definitely a story worth the read.

Tammy Mannersly is a good author. She has mastered the art of storytelling. Her details allow me to picture in my mind what is happening in the story. Her characters are fully developed and full of life. In this story, Dylan O’ Day is a Marine Biologist and Kyra Stone is the new intern. Dylan is having feelings for Kyra but she has feelings for other co-workers. To make the story more interesting, there are poachers who bring danger and drama to the story. I highly recommend reading this short story to see if Dylan and Kyra get together and what happens to the poachers.
