Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon
4 Stars

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I was impressed. The amount of raw emotion in the story was astounding. The characters and their problems were relatable which made it easier to connect with them. This is not your usual love triangle. Ellie loves them both but differently. Jason has been her best friend since childhood and his brother Drew is who she’s in love with. The three have been to hell and back which has put a strain on their relationship especially between the brothers. The brothers’ band, Razes Hell, rise to fame has only added pressure. Being best friends with rock stars isn’t easy particularly when you are the glue that holds them together. When past issues are brought into the light publicly, feelings of resentment resurface. Things spiral out of control. Can Ellie mend the heartache between the brothers while her own life is in turmoil?

This book was well written. There was tension, secrets and betrayals. My only issue with the story was I found there was too much drama. I needed to step back every so often and take a break. Regardless, the story was very good and I will be looking for more books from this author.

Nobody Knows (Razes Hell #1) by Kyra Lennon

4- stars

Nobody Knows by Kyra Lennon is a Rockstar Romance read that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. From the very first chapter I was intrigued and couldn’t wait to get to know our main characters. And I was certainly not disappointed with how this story unfolded.

This romance read was intense, addictive, captivating, detailed, and had me feeling all kinds of emotions. I was able to connect to the characters quite easily as the author wrote with so much detail that it made it easy to picture everything playing out in my mind, which is always a bonus. I loved the little flashbacks throughout the story as it gave me better insight into the complicated lives of our characters.

This was my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. I look forward to reading more from her in the future and look forward to reading more from our bad boy Rockstar’s in the Razes Hell series.

I loved reading the book Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon. It is a story that pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. I love rock band romances, and this is a good example of the reason why. I enjoyed reading about the characters. They are well-developed, and I enjoyed the interactions between them. The author does an amazing job of making the storyline and the characters come alive. The book seemed to come to an end too soon. The author does a good job of writing in detail so that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I found myself turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Don’t miss out on an exciting, romantic, and entertaining book. I highly recommend reading it.

Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 1)Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found this fun paranormal romance enjoyable and engaging with great characters and an intriguing storyline. Psychic Medium Allison Gray is scared of ghosts following a traumatic incident in her past. Unfortunately Empath Logan Mitchell is being haunted by a ghost who is making him crazy. Logan’s psychic gift of reading people’s emotions has helped him in the business world however, his gift along with being haunted means that Logan has given up on having a normal life. Then he meets Allison and if only she could overcome her fear of ghosts and especially the one haunting Logan then she could be the one to help him. This story is a romance with a paranormal twist. I loved Allison and Logan and found myself immersed in their story. The chemistry between the characters really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. The story flowed well making it an easy read and the plot kept me hooked from start to finish. I look forward to reading future books in this new series by Carrie Pulkinen.

Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen is the first book in the Haunted Ever After series. I was excited to grab this new series by Pulkinen. She always has a lighthearted but fun, romantic story on my TBR pile. This story did not disappoint. Set in Detroit we are introduced to psychic Allison. She is recovering from a bad run-in with a ghost and not much better luck in the dating department. Is the ghost at Logan’s going to change all of that? The characters are fun to read and there is a HEA. This was a fantastic read to get away from the world and relax. I am looking forward to where the series will go and what other ghostly problems will occur.

This is my first book read by this author, and it will not be my last. Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 1) has a cute, simple plot line. This is a fun, paranormal, romance story that is very intriguing to say the least. The story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Allison Gray is an intelligent, talented, medium, who uses her gifts to help others. Not long after she was hurt by a former boyfriend, a ghost hunt goes wrong. She has sworn off from any more ghost busting jobs with her team. She leads a quiet boring, safe life, working with her gifts, out of an office in an antique shop. Her best friend invites her to tag along to a party hosted by new in town Logan Mitchell. Logan Mitchell is like her in so many ways, one is he is not looking for a relationship. He just wants to live a normal life. He has bought a house that turns out to be haunted. As things progress with this ghost, he decides to call in help to rid his house of this hostile ghost. The team he calls upon, asks Allison for help. Will she be able to help the ghost crossover? Will his life return to normal? This was a very enjoyable start to the series. So eager to read the next book!

This is the first book by Fortuné and I can’t wait for the next one. Fortuné can keep readers interested in the story.

Kris is trying his hardest not to let things happen. He is still in love with Nicole and doesn’t want to lose her. Their two kids mean the world to them. The quote I chose for Kris is: “I’ll talk it over with Mommy and get back to you on that, okay?”

Nicole is overwhelmed by everything. Leaving the rose means it was her fault. When her boss tells her that he’s having trouble in his marriage things change. She won’t let it happen to them. The quote I chose for Nicole is: “Why don’t you hold Goober? Mommy needs both hands to drive.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Love at First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Dani Dando

Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance (Haunted Ever After Book 1)Love at First Haunt: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance by Carrie Pulkinen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Straight off we are launched into the sucky situation of Allison (our main protagonist) having to attend a party for a rich and powerful someone who recently brought the massive mansion the party is taking place in, from her friend Tina. Allison doesn’t like the parties, mainly for the vapid and money-hungry guests but also because she can feel all emotions and she knows just how fake all the people around her are.
If I’m being entirely honest – and this is nothing against Pulkinen because I have read some of her other stuff and I have always found it witty and relatable – but I really struggled with this book, especially the whole empath thing. I get that it is a fantasy and I’m all for that, but to say that a room full of people only had money and sex on their minds just is daft. Even people who like all the swanky stuff and a good roll in the hay, have more on their minds than that, and I thought that a character who is a supernatural being like an empath would be aware of this and understand this. By all means, say that she couldn’t stand the party because all the emotions were just too much, but to say that everyone in there wasn’t worth her time except for Logan felt a little harsh. Anywho just my personal opinion, moving swiftly on.
While at this party she locks eyes with Logan, the hunky handsome bit of man that, in spite of his seemingly knee-deep-in-willing-women lifestyle is sad and lonely and Allison senses this, and instantly runs away from it. After being hurt and spurned before she doesn’t want to go through that hurt again so a relationship is just not an option, especially with someone like Logan, who can dip and dash with the best of them.
Whilst making her Cinderella-esque escape (minus the dance with prince charming and the loss of a slipper) she happens upon a crying woman and tries to comfort her. It is only after the woman disappears and she is flooded with overwhelming emotions that she realises that she has seen a ghost. After several turns and twists of fate, Allison and Logan find themselves drawn together against either of their better judgments, their connection and spark undeniable. I will say that I thought their relationship happened a little quickly, but then again I think that of most romances that are similar to this, and considering that this is a book about ghosts and empaths, I don’t think I should nit-pick about the speed of their relationship being unbelievable.
I will say though that Pulkinen has a way of writing characters that makes them feel down-to-earth and relatable. Apart from my earlier issues with the whole party-thing, I found the characters likable and funny. Pulkinen really does do funny well and I really liked how she handled mental health in this. She managed to do it respectfully and with care, without losing the light-heartedness that made the book such a joy to read. I really do recommend Pulkinen and if you like this then you will definitely like License to Bite, that book is funny and steamy and just a delight to read.

This is not my first book by Carrie Pulkinen. This book has a cute plot line and great characters. The plotline is a simple one but it is filled with comedy and a love story. The characters are fully developed and complex. This story is about Logan and Allison, Logan is an empath who has a wicked ghost in his house. Allison is a medium who has a hard time with ghosts. Logan is longing for a normal life but his visitor in his house will not leave him alone. Allison is a medium whose past has scars from ghosts. Logan wants to have a normal life and he hopes to have it with Allison. Allison does not like ghosts. She has dealt with some mean ones in her past. Will Allison be able to assist Logan? Will Logan get his normal life? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Logan and Allison.

Allison is a medium, healer and psychic and also afraid of ghosts after having a traumatic experience. She’s been betrayed by people and anyone with money cannot be trusted.
Logan has his own demons, but he also is an empath only he doesn’t know it yet. He doesn’t trust his visions and they stop him from trying to live his life.
Immediate attraction pulls them together both have issues that they need to overcome. They have great chemistry and if you like broken characters finding their happy ending this story is for you.

This is the first book in the Haunted Ever After Series. I love this book. Its a great mix of paranormal and romance. The characters are really well written and you can’t help feeling connected to them.

Allison Grey is a psychic medium. She uses her gift to help people. However after one bad experience she has decided she not longer wants to work with spirits. But the spirits don’t take the hint.

Logan is a successful businessman. He is also named most eligible bachelor. He is surrounded by beautiful women but he is am empath so he can see that all they are interested in is his money. Add to that his reoccurring vision of his future wife commuting suicide and he has vowed never to get married. That is until he meets Allison.
Logan is intrigued by her as she seems to pay no interest in him at all. Could she be the one to want him for the person he is instead of his bank balance?

With the presence of a spirit in Logans home making him feel like he is losing his mind, can they solve this together? If Allison can get over her fear of ghosts will they be able to live happily ever after or will loving Logan mean risking her life?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great introduction of a new to me Author.
Coyote Summer is a book that gives us a very thought provoking point of view of a tragic event that is unfortunately an everyday occurence in today’s society. Ben witnesses the sexual assault of a high school girl and then struggles to come to terms with what he saw. I absolutely loved the fact that the Author brought us this story from a male perspective.
Ben is also in a strange relationship with a fascinating girl, with a completely different upbringing than him. This is a completely different coming of age story with excellent characters and amazing depth.
The only thing that was a miss for me was the supernatural aspect. But it doesn’t take away from the great story.

This romantic comedy centres around Allison Gray and Logan Mitchell, one is a rich playboy empath who has just bought a mansion at a steal and the other is a psychic, she can perform Reiki as well, but who is also terrified of spirits after a nightmare experience the year before and she runs her business from the back of an antique dealer, she is also someone whose best friend is an estate agent, who just happened to recently sell a mansion, but the psychic and the empaths paths collide in the mansion, neither one expects what is to come of it.

Allison is her best friends plus one and they are going to a party in the mansion she has just sold, when the get their, the first impression that Allison gets is that it is over the top and pretentious to say the least and when she gets hit with the emotions of the attendees, she is sure that that is the case, all they are thinking about is sex and money, well apart from her, but when she feels the screaming loneliness of one of the guests, she is surprised to see that it is the host, as she tries to escape it, she finds a woman on the stairs and is hit again with sadness, betrayal and despair, but as she tries her hardest to help the woman, it is when she disappears that Allison realises that it was a spirit and so she runs out of the house and home before her own emotions escape and she becomes overwhelmed by them. All the time that Allison is trying to escape from the house, Logan is trying to find her, he knows that she is different to all of the others and as soon as he locked eyes with her earlier and got a sense of her emotions, there was nothing about sex and money, nothing like the others and he got the feeling that he just had to talk to her, but when he sees her at the bottom of the staircase and then running out of the door, he can’t believe his bad luck, but he also can’t think of anything else but here, even when he takes another woman to bed, just so he isn’t alone, but when Logan starts to hear strange sounds and things start moving on their own, he calls on someone to see whether his new acquisition is haunted.

When their paths next cross, it is at another function, but people just keep interrupting them talking, so when they go to somewhere more quiet to try again, passion comes to the fore instead and not much talking gets done, at least until they are interrupted again, fortuitously this time, they go back downstairs and albeit she is asked not to, Allison leaves again as she is terrified by her feelings towards this man and his need for help. When he realises that he has lost Allison again, he tries to think about what he did learn about her and when his best friend intervenes and manages to find options of where she could be, he makes it a mission to find her and when he does, he realises that he doesn’t want to let her go, but Allison has a different idea and lets her fear win.

As fate intervenes yet again, the pair realise that despite everything they both fear, they both can’t resist the other, but they each have their secrets they are unwilling to share and when things start to get more malevolent in Logan’s home and the truth comes out, will they be able to save each other, or will their gifts be the end of them both? This is a romance with haunting suspense woven into it, which pulls you along as you engage more with Allison and Logan and this pull only gets stronger as you read to the end.

Coyote SummerCoyote Summer by Laura Koerber
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I still don’t know how I feel about Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber. It is the first I have read by her, and as much as I want to love it, I have mixed feelings. (Side note- This description is so much better than the one on AZON) The story was great, until about halfway through, then I don’t even know what happened. Literally- I still don’t quite understand what was real, exaggerated, dreamed, hallucinated, etc. The book is centered around Ben’s senior year and a series of events that changed his life. Claire’s assault stuck with Ben forever, and changed who is was as a person. It made him question his life, his friends, his morals, everything. And I love that- We saw how Ben changed his way of thinking, struggled with his feelings, and matured into a young adult. However, everything surrounding Puppy and her family, I’m still iffy on. I feel like the author had 2 story ideas, and mashed them together- and I don’t think it worked well. At least for me. I really want to love it… the writing in the first half, I loved. It is written primarily inside Ben’s head and his feelings. I felt his internal struggle to figure out right from wrong. To break away from friends he has had his whole life. To question his family’s way of life, and what being part of it means. But, seeing other reviews, it seems it is a love or hate for most. So, Read the book, and decide for yourself. I hope to read another book by this author and see if I love it more.

At All: Adams Brothers: #3 by Mindy McKinley

This is the third book by McKinley that I’ve read. I thought Dom and Mason had hot stories. Mindy knows what to do to draw readers back. I really hope this isn’t the last time we see the characters.

Sebastian is known for his jazz music. For his band and of course his last name. He doesn’t think he’ll meet his match like his brothers. Going in to do something new changes his thoughts. The quote I chose for Sebastian is: “Are you sure you’re alright? There’s quite a lump. Is there someone I can call? I could take you to the ER.”

Maelie is a music teacher and loves her violin. When she meets Sebastian she doesn’t know what to think. As she gets to know him the more of a decent person he seems to be. The quote I chose for Maelie is: ” I talked to him last night about it. I’ll take care of it after you leave; I promise it won’t be so bad next week.”

Highly recommended for contemporary romance lovers.

At All: Adams Brothers: Book 3 by Mindy McKinley

I love all three of the Adams brothers.  As I read each of their stories I thought to myself this brother is my favorite and I guess since Sebastian is the last of the boys he will forever be my favorite.

There was a vulnerability in Sebastian that I didn’t see in Dom or Mason that really seemed to grab me.  He has a drinking problem and it wasn’t until he hit bottom and he acknowledged his problem things slowly started improving.   He was finally able to make himself a priority and I think that gave him the opportunity to open himself up for live.

Maelie is amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.  I loved her from the moment I met her.  She impressed me so much with being self sufficient though she didn’t have to struggle as much as did.  She had a huge and difficult decision to make and I feel like she made the best one for her.

I hate to say bye to these three wonderful couples but I don’t see us finding a long lost Adams brother unless…….

This book was a nice way to wrap things up but I wouldn’t mind running into these guys again in the future.

At All (Adams Brothers, #3) by Mindy McKinley was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled right in from the beginning.

Maelie is a music teacher and loves it. Her father keeps trying to get her to follow in his footsteps but she has no desire to. She meets Sebastian in a hilarious way that left her with quite the goosebump.

Sebastian isn’t excited about teaching music but he has been forced by his band to get cleaned up and this is the only choice he has at the moment. Once he can prove himself he hopes to be accepted back.

There are a couple of incidents where Maelie talks to Sebastian about his noise levels. These two also have a connection building up between them and when Maelie ends up needing Sebastian’s help they finally give in. And boy do we get some steamy moments.

Will these two work through the issues and have a HEA? Will their careers interfere?

Overall this was a great read. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing.

At All (Adams Brothers, #3)At All by Mindy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Having read and enjoyed the previous two books in this series about the Adams brothers, I was looking forward to reading this novel and to discovering Sebastian Adams story. Sebastian was the best tenor saxophonist in the country but now he is back home in Chicago teaching private lessons after one to many alcohol fuelled mistakes. Struggling with teaching things become complicated when Maelie Barre moves into the studio next to his. Maelie is a successful and respected violin teacher who has spent her life in her fathers shadow, as he is a world famous violinist. She didn’t have time for men until her new studio neighbour turns out to be a very sexy saxophonist. Even though Seb finds Maelie a bit too uptight and they seem to have constant arguments he can’t deny their chemistry and following a very hot kiss neither can she. However, Maelie is reluctant to upend her quiet life and Seb is supposed to be proving he can go without alcohol and women. I loved Seb and Maelie and their chemistry really came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. As usual the storyline flowed well and the plot had plenty going on to keep me happily turning the pages. I was hooked from page one and felt totally immersed in the story. ‘At All’ can be read as a standalone story but I would recommend reading the other books in the series first to get to know the Adams brothers better.

Love at First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Anna Hirsch

Love at First Haunt (Haunted Ever After Book 1) by Carrie Pulkinen
4 stars

Love at First Haunt is the first installment in her Haunted Ever After series. Logan is an empath but he doesn’t know. All his life he knew that he could read people’s emotions and now , on top of that, he has a ghost in his house. Everything is driving him to the point of insanity. He meets Alison and his life changes. She teaches him how to block his empath abilities and shows him what live really is. He falls fast and hard for her. One tiny problem, she’s a psychic who’s afraid of ghosts. How can they have their happily ever after when she would have to face her fears? Facing her fears means putting her life at risk.

I enjoy reading Ms. Pulkinen’s books because they are light romantic comedies with a paranormal twist. I noticed with series, she writes on a more serious note. Although there isn’t as much comedy as her other books, it is still filled with romance, wonderful characters and this time, mystery and danger. While the romance blossoms fairly quickly, the suspense has a slow build up that will leave you breathless. This is a great book and a fantastic start to her new series. I am looking forward to book two.

Nobody Knows (Razes Hell Book 1) by Kyra Lennon – Review by Angela Shirley

Nobody KnowsNobody Knows by Kyra Lennon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when you become the pawn in a game but when the game gets real what will happen to the friendship built.

Ellie, Drew and Jason have grown up together and are inseparable but when the boys band, Razes Hell starts getting recognised and the press pick up on tension between the two brothers Ellie unfortunately is stuck in the middle.

So as they go on Ellie realises that she is drawn more to one brother and it’s more than friendship she wants, she feels its felt by Drew but will her pleading love to one brother break up the friendship and cause a rip in the brothers relationship forever.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I thought it was a wonderful story with great characters and a well-developed plot. I love when an author draws you into the story and you do not know where the fantasy and reality line is drawn. Although at first, I did not take to the character of Jason as you go through the book you get to understand that Ellie and Drew have always been there to kind of mop up the decisions which he makes but when he loses that some what you do feel for him in the end. I loved the interactions between Ellie and Drew and seeing how these two really felt about each other it was wonderful to see them grow.

This is a brilliant story with wonderful characters and I can’t read the next instalment and more books by Kyra Lennon in the future.
