I really love this author; I have read so many of her books and think she is such a versatile writer. I am always swept up into her books as soon as I start them and Fake Fiancé was no exception. I’m a bit of a sucker for the second chance romance stories, I always find myself rooting for the characters the whole way through, so I guessed that along with the amazing author and this trope I was in for a good read. I LOVED Adeline and Stone! Oh my gosh what a couple! They attraction, the chemistry – just everything about them was amazing! Their relationship wasn’t straight forward but I just absolutely loved reading about them. I love the story was as predictable as I thought it would be. It was a fantastic 5 star read and I would definitely recommend it to other readers!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It was a lovely contemporary romance read with lovely characters. I loved the setting for the story it was so peaceful and serene, the authors descriptive language made me feel like I was there at times. I loved Raven and Jack, they had a nice amount of genuine chemistry, it felt like they should be together and I was rooting for them the whole way through. There were some nice twists in the story. This is the second book in the series and I read it as a standalone however I definitely would love to read the first book just so I can be in the beautiful Heron Harbor again! A lovely read that I would highly recommend!

This was a really sweet and short read. I really liked the story; the characters were nice and relatable. I actually thought I had predicted what was going to happen in the story so I was pleasantly surprised when I was proved wrong. I think because the story was so short I didn’t really connect with the characters like I would in a longer story but that didn’t make me enjoy the story any less. I really liked the authors writing style so I would I definitely love to read more from her again in the future.

This holiday novella has all of the feels. I have a soft spot for military romances and this short story felt much bigger than its page count. The characters were heart felt and well written and the story didn’t feel contrived or forced. I loved this story. It is the perfect addition to my holiday reading list.

I love Enemies to Lovers stories but even though you know the just of the story you don’t know all the complicated stuff in-between. I honestly loved how much they hated each other it was amusing. It took me a while to warm up to Callie she just seemed a tad stuck up but i gradually started to like her. Gianluca is hot, rich and a complete prick, but that’s why you will fall in love with him. Gets very steamy at times and i cant wait for the rest of the books. I loved the Authors writing style she really brought the story well together.

All I Want for Christmas: Military Romance Short Story by Vivian Fiano. If you’re looking for something short and sweet I highly recommend this short story. From page one I was drawn in and only sad I had to leave the characters when I did. Even with this being a short story I didn’t feel it was hindered in any way and I think this author did a wonderful job with this short story. And I just love a Christmas love story they just shot straight to my heart and this characters definitely pulled at my heartstrings from start to finish. I also have a soft spot for a military romance and I loved every minute spent in the pages of this short story. I’d definitely like to see what more this author has to give readers. Five stars for this story. Highly recommended.

There’s nothing like a good Enemies to Lovers story…… except for……. a GREAT enemies to lovers story…. and that is exactly what Gianluca is. This also wasn’t your normal rich guy who has everything sorted out and young office intern who’s life is a complete mess. This time there’s an extra twist…. hes also has some things to sort out…. Superb characters and the storyline flowed flawlessly. A+++

Second Chance eX-mas by N.D. Jackson is a delightful contemporary romance. It is a slow burn second chance story that is set in a quaint little town. ND is good at setting the scene, where the characters are a little quirky, a little different and fun. ND did a great job making me feel what the characters were going through and imagining the town as she sees it. Glory stole the show though she was a pleasure to get to know.

Gianluca (Marini Family Romance Book 1) by Isabella Cassazza – Review by Gail Guerrero
Five Stars
I’m all for men with big egos especially when they realize it gets them nowhere with women who know their worth. Gianluca is hot, talented and a complete douche. He knows what he wants and goes after it. The only issue is that he can’t help thinking that he’s better or knows better. Callie came across to me as a little stuck up. She judged before really knowing Gianluca. He did as well but they could’ve done better. The immediate dislike they had for each other was amazing. I’ve never read a story where the main characters just couldn’t stand each other so much. But it played out well. Beverage once the guards where dropped and conversations happened. It was almost magical and vey steamy. I really liked the authors writing style and the level it took for her to get them to their ending. They didn’t come off as too cliché. They had flaws that you could see passed into what really mattered.

Gianluca: A Standalone Enemies-to-Lovers Office Romance (Marini Family Romance Book 1) by Isabella Cassazza
I was introduced to Gianluca in Center of Gravity and thought he was an angry jerk who was determined to make everyone around him as angry and miserable as he was. That feeling didn’t go away while reading this book. But now I understand why he is the way he is not that I agree with it. He does eventually grow on me.
Callie grabbed me from the moment I was introduced to her. She has been through so much in her young life, more than young women her age should have to deal with. But she hasn’t let any of it beat her down. If anything I think it helped her become the strong woman she is.
This book went from some hot moments to me wanting to punch Gianluca almost immediately after. But that didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment.
I can’t wait to read the other Marini Siblings stories and learn more about each of them. Waiting patiently for the next book in this series.

This is the first 3 books in the Chase Security series by R L Dunn. I loved all 3 books. They all have a different story about members of the Chase Security team. They are full of romance and action.
Each book has different characters and their stories are all unique and different. The characters are so well written that you find yourself completely immersed in their stories. Through the 3 books the characters are build up so even though the main characters in the stories are different the leads from previous books appear and you are given more of an insight into them.
It’s a really enjoyable series. If you are looking for action packed, edge of your seat romance this is definately worth a read.

It’s the holiday season and who doesn’t love a sweet romance? Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance by Amy McKinley definitely fills that spot. Ms. McKinley is a new author for me but she is definitely an author I will read again.
Adeline Rossi is jetting off to her dream job in the wonderful setting of Italy. But much to her dismay her reality isn’t matching up to her dreams. Business tycoon Stone Crenshaw has had nothing but headaches on his current hotel renovation. Add in his attraction to his newest employee and Stone figures things couldn’t get more complicated. Thanks to a family-oriented hotelier deciding to sell they both couldn’t be more wrong. When Stone manipulates Adeline into being his fake fiance to seal the deal will their attraction move from a hoax into real-life?
Ms. McKinley does a wonderful job of drawing the reader into this story. The characters are believable and dimensional. The story is engaging and sweet. Weaving in tension and chemistry, Ms. McKinley gives this book the foundation needed to make this story great. I will be definitely adding Ms. McKinley to my list of authors to one-click. Check out this book! You won’t be disappointed!

Claim Me Now is the second book in the Heron Harbor seriesby Lea Nolan. I really wasn’t sure what to expect going into the story as this is my first book from Ms. Nolan, but after reading it, I am happy to report that it definitely won’t be the last. It is a small-town romance, with secrets, mistaken identity, chemistry, sizzle, tension, drama, angst, and some wonderfully interesting and endearing characters. I won’t go into the storyline, as I feel the blurb does a great job of giving you an idea of what to expect- and I don’t want to spoil the story for you by giving too much away. I really loved Raven and Jack, even if I wanted to shake them at times- but I think Brilla might have stolen the show for me. She was such a cute and clever addition to the story. The story is quite steamy- some scenes really sizzled off the pages. This is one of those stories that I totally lost myself in- in a great way- and I definitely didn’t want it to end- as there was so much more I wanted to know- but only because I was so invested in the characters and their story. I really do hope we hear more of Jack and Raven in future books. Having said that, this could be read as a standalone- but this story has intrigued me enough to want to go back and read Book one, before then continuing the series. So, if you love a mistaken identity contemporary romance with plenty of sizzle, wonderful characters, and a captivating storyline- then you definitely won’t want to miss this book/series. I am definitely adding Ms. Nolan to my “must-read” authors list. Can’t wait for more!

I was quickly drawn into Gianluca by Isabella Cassazza. At first I thought I expected to have difficulty with Italian words but then my worries were alleviated by how the point of view was told in first person by Callie in a simultaneous way that recounted the events that Gianluca Mirani described. There was only one part I didn’t understand that was about the symbols by Signore Ravelli.
Gianluca Mirani was a ruthless manager at an Italian fashion company. His high standards made people avoid his disapproval as he was quick to fire anyone that questioned him. He was in a bind due to his assistant going on her honeymoon. An intern was being brought in for 6 weeks to fill in.When he realizes Calliope James is an American and has no previous experience, he automatically believes she will be a major hindrance to an upcoming advertisement photo shoot.
Callie arrives in Italy only to face one issue after another. The apartment she has leased seems to lack air conditioning. All of her clothes are wet from her suitcase being in the rain, and she has no phone service. Thankfully, Gianluca’s sister Fracesca befriends Callie and helps her with clothing and other tasks when Gianluca’s assistant leaves work.
Immediately, Callie has a crush on Gianluca. As they spend more time together, both begin to notice a magnetic attraction to the other. Do they end up acting on their inner desires? Gianluca never wanted a relationship, and Callie wished she had not chosen to do an internship. Both of them have something that shadows their lives. What secrets get revealed and will they cost Gianluca his job? Read this suspense filled romance novel to see what the future holds for the duo. I am certain that the plot twists will keep you guessing until the end.

Secure Boxed Setcontains the first three books in the addictive Chase Security seriesby R.L Dunn. I am so glad I stumbled on this series, and author- as she has proved to be a great storyteller. This is a romantic suspense series- that will keep you glued to the pages as you get swept up in the stories. Each book in the series could be read as a standalone- as each book focuses on one of the Chase Security team members. These stories are full of action, adventure, alpha males, and strong women.
The series contains:
Secure Desire (Book #1)
4 ½ Stars
Secure Desireis the first book in the Chase Security seriesby R.L Dunn, and is a really great action-packed romantic suspense- with mystery, murder, intrigue, violence, brutality, spills and thrills, hidden agendas, sinister plots, clandestine ops, covert organizations, private security, family, friendship, Politics, loss, betrayal, chemistry….. and soooo much more. Ian Chase is an ex-Navy SEAL turned successful business man, now heading up the Chase Group, a billion dollar global empire in the venture capital and private security sector. He has never forgotten a brief encounter with a beautiful, but engaged, art historian he met six years earlier. So, imagine his surprise when he unexpectedly encounters her again- only now she’s no longer engaged or married, and works for the FBI. He knows there is more to the story, and to her, than she’s letting on. Secrets surround her. And he’s determined to get to the bottom of it all. Cassiopeia Ellis remembers meeting Ian, and he’d made quite the impression on her. But she remembers very little else from that night. She suffers from amnesia and is haunted by nightmares from a very traumatic experience. Running into Ian again after all these years, both thrills and terrifies her. She still feels their electric chemistry and magnetic pull- but she is deathly afraid that he’ll discover her secret and then won’t want anything to do with her. Much better to push him away, than to suffer the pain and embarrassment of rejection. But Ian has arrived at a point where he is able to really help Cassie- as someone seems to want her dead. Can Ian protect her and keep her safe? Who has targeted Cassie, and why? What happened to her six years ago, and what has that got to do with the present threat? All the answers to these questions, and more, can be discovered between the covers of this suspenseful read! I really enjoyed this book. I was intrigued right from the beginning, totally engrossed the whole way through. There were some shocking, emotional, and violent moments that had me anxiously reading, on the edge of my seat to discover if things would turn out ok. There was a lot going on, and so much to keep track of, too. R.L Dunn has written a complex, multi-layered story full of clever interconnected details which gives it a real unpredictability- she kept me guessing the whole way through. I had so many scenarios running through my head, trying to piece everything together and work out what was going on. I though that aspect of the writing, and story, was really well done. I loved Ian and Cassie, they were so easy to like and invest in. I really felt for Cassie and what she’d been through, and what she was going through!!! OMG- R.L Dunn really put her through the wringer. And then there’s Ian- his protective Alpha hotness was swoon-worthy. I also love Kieran, and Monique, Lil and Declan, Luke and Rachel…. And Hunter, such a sexy man- I’d sure like to know more about him! The story was meticulously researched, or the author has experience in the field- with all the medical terminology, equipment, and medications that were used in the story, as well as the security lingo and weaponry etc. The story was detailed and vividly descriptive. The only issue I had, was that there are a LOT of characters in the story- I counted over 130 NAMED characters- which was a lot to keep track of! I didn’t think they all required naming, especially passers-by on the street/hallway, or the nurse at her station etc- especially since many don’t any play a further part in the story. It just was a lot to take in- I like to remember names and places during a story, especially when I’m trying to piece everything together, like in this book- so I found the ‘extra names’ a little ‘messy’ to the overall tight plot-lines. This didn’t detract too much from the storyline, but it was a little distracting, and at times, confusing.
Secure Again (Book #2)
4 Stars
Secure Again is the second book in the Chase Security seriesby R.L Dunn. It is a second chance romance- with suspense, intrigue, mystery, danger, hidden agendas, chemistry, and high stakes. Dr. Elizabeth Reed is a surgeon who has noticed a number of disturbing injuries stemming from the local prison. She is determined to find out what is going on. Martin Bailey is the CEO of Chase Security International- is drawn into the mystery through his brother (a police officer) and the investigation he was conducting. But Martin and Elizabeth also have a past relationship- and soon old feelings are bubble to the surface, adding to the already charged situation. With a complicated web to untangle, there is no time to spare if they are to figure it all out before anyone else dies. There was a lot going on and a lot of characters to keep track of, too. Making for an intense read. Bring on Book #3!
Secure Her (Book #3)
4 Stars
Secure Heart is the third book in the Chase Security seriesby R.L Dunn. It is a bit of a romantic suspense, with second chances, danger, stalking, drama, emotion, chemistry, spice, and plenty of character growth. I am really having trouble picking my favourite from out of this series (so far)- as each book is quite riveting. Again, as with the previous books, there is a lot going on in the book- and I liked the fresh feel to the storyline- as well as having a lot of characters to keep track of- which all the series books seem to have, and is a characteristic I now associate with R.L Dunn’s work. It definitely adds extra interest to the story. I loved Holly, and Sadie. They’re such great characters- and I loved the extra emotive quality that Sadie brought to the overall storyline. Julian is just as smooth as I would have expected, being a Chase Security team member, not to mention former Navy SEAL- and it was great to tag along for the ride, and really ‘get to know him’. The story is really well developed, with palpable tension and suspense woven throughout the storyline. The emotional component was both heartaching, and at times very touching. This was a really engaging and enjoyable read!
Looking forward to the next book and continuing this fantastic series!

All I Want For Christmas: Military Romance Short Story by Vivian Fiano is a great contemporary military romance. The story is quite a short, quick and easy read- but even though it is quite short, it isn’t lacking in any way- it’s well written with depth and interesting characters who are really well crafted and likeable. I thought the story was very enjoyable. The characters really make this story, and it definitely wouldn’t have been the same without them. Kinsley and Brysen were great- I found myself rooting for them the whole way through the story- and even though there were a few angsty moments with a little drama and emotion- the story ended leaving me feeling good about the outcome. If you love contemporary military romance- and love a quick and easy read- then this is definitely the book for you.

Secure Boxed Set (Chase Security #1-3) by R.L. Dunn was a great 5 star read.
Secure Desire – Book 1 All I can say is wow, I was pulled in right from the beginning.
Cassie is an FBI agent who has had a couple of huge tragedies in her life. She has closed herself off from any type of relationship, she’s damaged. Ian Chase met Cassie six years prior and was smitten with her, seeing her again now has brought the feelings back and he starts to pursue her. Ian is an ex-Navy Seal who owns his own successful private security team and I might add is extremely hot.
Cassie remembers meeting Ian but had suffered a traumatic event that has caused her to shut down and have panic attacks. She’s afraid to get close to anyone for fear of rejection.
You won’t like me once you know what I am – Cassie
There is a huge twist at a charity event that had my emotions all over the place. I will warn it does get graphic and had me cringing at times. My heart went out to Cassie and everything that she went through. I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the whole time waiting to see what was coming next. Can Ian and his team keep Cassie safe? Will Cassie finally let Ian into her heart?
There is so much more to this read. I loved all of the characters, they all added great elements to the story. Some I didn’t care for, some I loved. I can’t wait to see more from several of them.
Secure Again: Book 2 Once I started I couldn’t put it down. There is so much going on with all the characters. Elizabeth is a surgeon and Martin is the CEO of Chase Security.
Elizabeth is a very caring person and becomes concerned when she starts seeing patients from the local jail coming in with injuries. When Martin gets called home after his brother has been shot, he finds out that Elizabeth is the one keeping his brother alive. These two have a history that didn’t end well for them.
As the investigation continues on both the shooting and the jail injuries things intensify. Can Chase Security get the answers and solve the mystery? Will Elizabeth and Martin reconnect and have a second chance at a HEA?
Overall I loved this book, I was pulled right in and couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. You get suspense, mystery, romance and so much more. I am really enjoying this series. All of the secondary characters are great.
Secure Heart: Book 3 Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. I was excited to read Julian’s story.
Holly is a singer and songwriter trying to make ends meet for her and her son. When something scary happens to her she decides to hire Chase Security which is where she meets Julian. The more time they spend together feelings start to develop.
Julian has started with Chase Security and is trying to move forward from his past. He gets a job watching over a single mom and her daughter. He’s also working on a serial killer case. Will he be able to help them and find the serial killer?

Fake Fiancé by Amy McKinleys is my first book by this author and if her other books are anything like this one, I need to read more. This short office romance novella read like a full novel. I couldn’t believe that Amy gives you everything in such a small amount of pages. Adeline and Stone were great characters that I want more from them. Their chemistry was there from the beginning and I was intrigued to see that it took them that long to come together.

Gianluca is enjoying his successful career in the fashion industry. When his new intern is an American, there is an instant hate relationship that is born. However, the chemistry between Callie and Gianluca quickly turns their relationship into a love/hate one. The back and forth between these characters kept me turning the pages long after I should have been in bed. Like any good romance, things are not easy for the two and when Callie flees back to the United States, will Gianluca fight for her or is the American more trouble than she is worth? (You will have to read to find out)
I have read books from this author in the past, and this new series is definitely one I will be keeping up with. I really liked the relationship between Callie and Gianluca…and some of the characters in the book were great, too. A good enemies-to-lovers book that I would recommend to other readers.

CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) By Lea Nolan 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan. It is a wonderful romance story that pulled me in from the very beginning and I was hooked. I loved the characters of Raven Donovan and Jack Baines. Raven is a woman who is looking to forget her sorrows at the home that belongs to her and her sisters. She is not looking for a relationship. Then she meets Jack. Jack is a man who doesn’t want a new relationship. He has rented the house where Raven has taken refuge. What does the future hold for Raven and Jack? Read this book to find out. This story had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. It is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I grew to care about what happens to Jack and Raven with each chapter that I read. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced in the book. That author does an amazing job in making the storyline and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on an entertaining and romantic story. I highly recommend reading it.

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her. She continues to impress me with her writing skills and her attention to details. This book is no different. This is a shorter story that is full of the Christmas spirit and second chances. I loved the characters and how they brought the story to life. This is Archer and Ally’s story. They have a past together. They had it all until he left and never looked back. Now that he is back in town, will he realize his one mistake? Ally’s world is about to be turned upside down. What will fate have in store for these two? Is there forgiveness and second chances in their future? I loved this story and the warm fuzzies you get from reading it. This is a great holiday story that I highly recommend. You don’t want to miss this one!
