What a fantastic story! I loved how Berry balanced suspense and romance in these pages – Ace and Malerie – such fantastic characters. I really felt an immediate connection to the book and devoured the story quickly. Well developed, solid pacing, great character detail – just a great story that romance lovers will thoroughly enjoy!

Well i was hooked with this book from the get go! Malerie and Ace were so great to read about and this author has such a way with her writing that you are just wrapped up in each and every word. I could picture myself there and everything they were seeing and feeling, I could too. Recommend this author!!

Kismet Heart by Brinda Berry was a great read! I was instantly enraptured from the moment I started reading, and I could hardly put this book down. But from the witty monologues throughout, and constant thrill from the first chapter, this book was definitely a great read for me. The storyline was incredible, and the characters were amazing. I couldn’t wait to finish this book once I started! This is the first novel I’ve read from this, and I hope it’s not the last. I highly recommend this book!

Kismet Heart: A Protector Romance (A Surviving Love Novel Book 1) by Brinda Berry was a good 4 star read.
It took me just a bit in the beginning to get pulled in, once I got past a certain point I couldn’t put it down. Malerie has a heartbreaking childhood full of loss, she ends up being raised by her uncle.but encounters more heartache when she turns 18. There are moments that trigger PTSD for Malerie as well, from what she encountered with her mother. There is a need to protect her, but from what? Ace has his own security business and is hired to keep Malerie safe. Will he be able to keep things professional?
Who is after Malerie and can Ace keep her safe?
Overall this was a good read. The characters were good but it took me a bit to warm up to Ace. There was something about him that I wasn’t so sure about at first. But Malerie liked him and had an instant connection with him. We get so much in this story suspense, romance, heartache and so much more. The story is told in dual POV which I enjoyed so we could see what each of them were thinking. If you’re looking for a good suspense series, 1-click and get started today on book one.

Kismet Heart: A Protector Romance by Brinda Barry Four Stars
Kismet Heart: A Protector Romance is the first book in the Surviving Love series by Brinda Berry. This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely not the last. I look forward to reading the next two books in this series. This book flowed from beginning to end. I lost sleep reading this book because I just couldn’t put it down. I have to say, it was well worth the loss of sleep. Malerie and Ace are well defined characters. Malerie has know tragedy, both when she was seven and again when she was eighteen. Ace is a body guard and he feels the need to protect Malerie. The chemistry between the two is amazing, and the witty dialog really brought these characters to life. This was a great story and i can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. Review by @sunbarn

My first book by Julie. Addie has a massive secret she’s been holding onto for years. Jake and Addies friends and family are amazing and the development through this book is great. It shows how much things can happen in real life and how emotional attached you get to these characters. Josie is the kid and getting use to this new development. Highly recommended this book.

This is a cute holiday story. We follow along with the two MC as they vie for a advertising campaign. The place is a holiday amusement park and resort. They have many ups and downs and delight in finding their true selves.
I was easily sucked into this story as well as the characters. I love Christmas Funtime stories and this is one. All the crazy festive ideas that get brought to life by the author are magical themselves. Then drop in uptight characters and make them do out of their zone stuff makes this an easy win in my mind.

The Magic of Christmas by Christi Barth a magical five-star read. Rowan West is a determined woman, she wants that promotion, and it’s the only thing on her Christmas list to Santa, after all Jeremy doesn’t deserve the promotion does, he? Will the winter wonderland reveal the truth, or will they go off the deep end instead of the zip line? Will the Christmas magic work its wonder, will Jeremys true side be revealed? Will they save the wonderland? This is such a sweet story and perfect for this time of year. Bring the warmth and great writing to your life and pick this up, I adore this author and was happy to be whisked away to Christmas already!!

A Merry Texan Christmas (The Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge Book 3) By Nicole Flockton 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book A Merry Texan Christmas (The Prentice Brothers of Sweet Ridge Book 3) by Nicole Flockton. It is a wonderful holiday romance story that will warm your heart. I love the characters of Trey Prentice and Maggie Watson. Trey is a guy that finds himself at odds with Maggie who is known as Miss Christmas. It is about the decorations/display that he has put in his shop. A rivalry begins. So does the attraction that they both feel for each other. What does the future hold for Trey and Maggie? Read this book to find out. Maggie is intelligent, kind, and very talented when it comes to decorating for Christmas. Trey is a man who is handsome and not afraid to flirt with Maggie. I grew to care about what happens to Maggie and Trey. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that interact with Maggie and Trey. I love that some of the characters were brought forward from the first two books. The story has romantic moments as well as times when Maggie and Trey clashed. The author has done a wonderful job of making a story that is exciting and entertaining to read. This is a perfect holiday romance book that you will not want to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

Kismet Heart: A Protector Romance is the first book in the “Surviving Love” series by Brinda Berry. It is a fast paced, action-packed romantic suspense- full of mystery and intrigue. The story has a wonderful blend of nail-biting action and suspense, which is then balanced with some emotion and a little humour. Malerie has seen so much tragedy in her short life- and things are about to get even more intense. Ace is assigned to keep her safe- which becomes more complicated than he first expected- and so the story takes off. Well worth the read. It was quite and intense ride.

I enjoyed this book alot. I thought it was a good romantic suspense story that filled my evening with a book that pulled me in from page one. There was suspense, Romance and action. I enjoyed all of the main characters and enjoyed watching their story unfold. The main charcters name is Malerie and she has one heck of a past and alot that still haunts her to this very day. Ace is in charge of protecting Malerie and he has his work cut out for him. As the story progresses we see the characters grow and they both over come alot throughout the story. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend! Happy Reading!

Moonlight and Belladonna: A Small Town Halloween Romance (Hartwood Holiday Romance) By Jae Dawson 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Moonlight and Belladonna: A Small Town Halloween Romance (Hartwood Holiday Romance) by Jae Dawson. It is a romance story that grabbed my attention from the very beginning. I loved the characters of Belladonna Pagano and Cade Owens. Belladonna is a woman who is intelligent, independent, and strong. She also is in fear of losing her current job. One play could make a difference. Cade is someone who has ended up with court-ordered community service. It is with Belladonna. There is an attraction between them that can’t be denied. What does the future hold for Belladonna and Cade? Read this book to find out. I loved the bantering that goes back and forth between Belladonna and Cade. There are sad moments as well as moments that touch your heart. I found myself rooting that Belladonna and Cade find happiness. Other characters are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about them and their interactions with Cade and Belladonna. This is a story that gives you a warm feeling and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. Don’t miss out on an amazing, entertaining, and romantic story. Kismet heart: A Protector Romance by Brinda Berry is the first book in the Surviving Love novel. This is a book that is full of action and is fast paced and exciting. I loved the characters in this book – they had a strong connection and worked really well together. Each complimented the other and added so much to the story. I haven’t read too much by this author but I do really enjoy her writing style. I like the way the story is built up slowly, nothing feeling forced or rushed and yet still having that exciting feeling to it. This book highlights this style really well and definitely makes me want to read even more by this author. Overall this was an enjoyable book with great characters that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I loved reading the book Breaking Tessa by T. Christensen. It is a story that will pull you in from the beginning. I loved the characters of Jordan Davis and Tessa Parker. Tessa is a young woman who doesn’t crave the spotlight. Jordan is someone who is used to the limelight. They find they have a connection and attraction to each other. There is no doubt as to their feelings for each other. Will their relationship work? Read this book to find out. Tessa and Jordan are characters that I grew to care about what happens to them with each chapter that I read. Tessa is intelligent and head over heels for Jordan. Jordan is an amazing basketball player who is on a path that has him a rising star. The book had my emotions going up and down. There are also very romantic scenes included. Kismet Heart: A Protector Romance is the first book in the Surviving Love series by Brinda Berry. I hadn’t read her work before, but the book summary drew me in and I wanted to read it. Right from the start, I couldn’t put the book down. The story is so capturing, from the characters, to their history, to the mystery treasure hunt feel. Ace and Malerie are good leads and work together well. Malerie has quite the spunk and flirt for someone who never ventures outside. And Ace is quite mysterious but also very sweet and protective. The book was very well written, but the ending totally disappointed me. I felt like there was such a work up and intensity, and then it just cut off. I guess I was hoping for some big reveal, some twist, etc and it wasn’t how I expected it to end. Despite that, I still highly recommend the book because it was a great story. The character’s chemistry is perfectly built and it has a good level of mystery and suspense. I will definitely read more of Berry’s work.

The Opposite of Addie: A Novel (Friendship & Secrets) by Julie C. Gardner
5 Stars
This is my second book by this author and I loved this one as much as I did Forgetting Ophelia. The stories kinda intertwine and to get the full effect this book should be read first, but that’s just my opinion..It really does work either way.
I could not put this book down while reading. There were a lot of moving parts and a lot of deep emotions running through this story. I love the multiple POV’s, sometimes this does not work for me but in this author’s case it is done perfectly. There was so much pain that came with all of these characters but this made the healing process that much stronger all the way through, and not just for Jake and Addie but friendships and family relationships were as strong in this story, I loved this and so many times I sat with tears rolling down my face that I didn’t even realize were falling. I became invested in all of these characters straight away and I credit this author for that. Addie’s Moms story was unfolded beautifully and caught me totally off guard, explaining many of the questions I had throughout. She has an amazing talent for grabbing you and not letting go till the final word has been read.
You really must read this book, it will make you want to grab the next immediately and although I had already read it, I wanted to read it again.

This story is almost non-stop action! I loved it! This easily kept my interest and I kept reading right along. The characters are mysterious and different. As the story moves along little bits and pieces come out…just enough to keep me turning that one more page.
I love Ace’s real name. How unique! He brings some security and thoughtfulness to Malerie’s life. Malerie is the one to keep an eye on though. She has had a tragic and strange life. She always makes me wonder “what is going on in her head”.
Over all it’s a story that brings action and mystery to the forefront. It will make you curious, hopeful and maybe a bit crazy.

When an Empire Won’t Hear The Truth, Rowena Must Learn to Lie
Still reeling from the loss of their human slaves, the vampires of the sunless city of Sanguinia are angry and divided. Rowena and Vincenzo, her wealthy vampire boyfriend, are set to tackle a new threat, a reactionary political front that threatens to repeal all the progress they have made so far in bringing equality to the country.
When Vincenzo encourages her to take on new responsibilities, Rowena accepts a job at Gargoyle, one of of Sanguinia’s top news networks. In theory, they value her perspective as a human, but in reality she struggles against an uncaring editor and the barely restrained hostility of her co-workers. Just before she goes on air for the first time, she’s assaulted by co-anchor and rising media personality, Titus Severus.
Ignored by crew and her superiors, Rowena looks for a new way to make a difference and, betting on a long shot, she aims to interview the mysterious prince of Kemet. The prince is young, charming, intelligent, and just as invested in improving life for the humans in Sanguinia as Rowena is herself.
Hitting it off with the prince just as a gulf forms between Rowena and Vincenzo, her exclusive interview with foreign royalty is set to propel her to overnight stardom, but can Rowena hold onto the connections she needs to keep Sanguinia’s humans safe and free, or will Titus sweep away her efforts and usher in a new age of hatred and violence?

The Magic of Christmas by Christi Barth is an enchanting enemy to lover’s romance tale. It is a slow burn, sweet and fun read with witty banter. I enjoyed Christi’s writing style and the setting of the story. Two people after the same promotion, one a workaholic and the other the son of the owner. It is a vivid world Christi has outlined for us and it makes you feel that you are right there with the magic of Christmas. It is a simplistic and easy story for a quiet afternoon read.

This is a series I have enjoyed from the first book. I was happy to find a third book out and Christmas to boot. This author has continued to impress me with her attention to details and her writing skills. I was pulled into right from the beginning and kept engaged to the end. This is a shorter romance story that will pull at your heartstrings as well as your soul. The characters bring the story life and make it feel realistic. I had no issues connecting with them. This is a story about Trey and Maggie. Trey is looking forward to a quiet life as he opens his new bookstore. He is excited to decorate for the holidays but he never expected to compete with Maggie who has been nicknamed as Miss Christmas. What will happen as they compete against each other, will they find more than Christmas spirit? Who will win? This is such a great Christmas story that I really enjoyed. I enjoyed watching the growth between Trey and Maggie. They have great chemistry whether they see it or not. I found myself hoping that they would find their HEA. What happens with them you will need to read this book which I highly recommend. It will put the Christmas spirit in your heart for sure.

Breaking Tessa: A College Sports Romance by T. Christensenis the first book in a new duet, and as the title would suggest, a college sports romance. This is a YA/new adult romance- with a snapshot of college life, basketball, drama, angst, emotion, opposites attract, and a bit of a cliffhanger ending. It took me a little bit to warm up to Jordan and Tessa- I really can’t pinpoint exactly why, but I was interested in the outcome of the story all the same. I am hoping that they will win me over in book two. The characters were well developed, fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws which helped to make the story come to ‘life’. Waiting on book #2 to see how things will play out.

I enjoyed this sweet Halloween romance story. This is a well written story that has characters that are full of heart and bring the story to life. I had no problems connecting with them as they made the story feel realistic. This is a story about Belladonna who is a high school teacher who has put her job on the line for one musical. If she doesn’t impress the board she will lose her job. Cade can’t seem to outrun his past as he returns to the small town that holds his secrets. Will this musical be the one thing to bring these two back together? Putting both of their careers on the line will they lose it all? These two are such great characters and the life they bring to the story. I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story and finding what they lost. This is a great story that I highly recommend.

Love Surreptitiously by Tarrah Anders. This author has quickly become one of my top favorites. This story was just another fantastic addition to why. The characters have a chemistry that leaps off the pages. Their story is one you don’t want to miss. They pulled me so completely into their world I was happy to get lost with them for a while. This is a shorter read but I didn’t feel it was hindered because of it but I’ll always wish books are longer, that’s just the reader in me. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

I love reading this authors books, she captivates the reader from the very beginning and draws you in from the start, and this one is no different. This book is full of action, romance and suspense, it’s fast-paced and flows effortlessly. I absolutely loved these characters they connected me to the story and left me wanting more! I loved watching their connection develop and I couldn’t help but hope these characters get a HEA. This book really does give you all the feels, and what makes it even better is that it’s written in dual POV, I love a good read that written this way, it really connects you to the characters on a deeper level and gets a real understanding of them and what they are thinking and feeling. I loved this book and I can’t wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this read.

Kismet Heart: A Protector Romance (A Surviving Love Novel Book 1) by Brinda Berry. Eeeekkk! Ok so now that I got that out let me tell you how much I loved this story. I’ve read this author before so from the get go I was sure I’d enjoy this story, but I absolutely loved it! The characters are complex and relatable, they pulled me so completely into their world I forgot I was reading words. The author has a way of making words come alive from the pages and play like a movie before your eyes. The characters were so easy to connect with and the storyline had me on the edge of my seat more than once. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. If I could give it more than five stars I totally would but just know I’m giving it the biggest five stars I can. Go add this incredible story to you reading list.

This was my first book by Brinda Berry. I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one! Malerie has had tragedy after tragedy in her life and believes her time is coming up, no more luck on her side. Ace is a man who grew up taking care of himself and having goals. Working for everything he needed and wanted. When these two meet it’s sparks everywhere! I fell in love with this book because of the wonderful writing style of Ms. Brinda. I’m a fan for life!
