Breaking Tessa: A College Sports Romance by T. Christensen is the first book in a new duet, and as the title would suggest, a college sports romance. This is a YA/new adult romance- with a snapshot of college life, basketball, drama, angst, emotion, opposites attract, and a bit of a cliffhanger ending.
It took me a little bit to warm up to Jordan and Tessa- I really can’t pinpoint exactly why, but I was interested in the outcome of the story all the same. I am hoping that they will win me over in book two. The characters were well developed, fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws which helped to make the story come to ‘life’.
Waiting on book #2 to see how things will play out.
