Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2) Via Mari 4 out of 5 stars
How I could go from never reading a particular Author to becoming hooked on multiple series at once is beyond me, but Via Mari has me completely hooked. With likable characters and intense passion, each book I read by this author impresses me through and through. I had a preconceived notion that steamy romances meant the storyline wouldn’t have depth or substance. Via Mari has shown me this couldn’t be further from the truth. Undercover has twists and turns that kept me interested from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more from Via Mari, as usual.

Undercover is the second book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Via Mari. This series just keeps getting better and better. I love that each book gives us a new perspective of the story as a whole. This story grabbed my attention on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. Marenah and Matt really are a powerful couple and the story is full of action, adventure and hot love scenes. It was a quick read that had my blood racing throughout. I can’t wait to see what Via Mari has in store for us next!

This wasn’t a favorite at the beginning. There was too much inter thinking and over thinking. I can see why the author did this but it got old for me fast. All the I’m not good enough or I want to be better thoughts. Some are fine but too much just becomes mind numbing. This is not to say I didn’t like the book because I did. The characters were very secretive but I enjoyed them. The dynamic between Heath/Gabbi and Joe/Gwen was fun. The teasing and advice were great for the story. Heck even Niko, the plumber apprentice, peaked my interest.
Joe is sweet. He tries every day to redeem himself for or past. It was interesting how he tries to show Gwen all that he can do for her. Make her need him…want him….love him. I loved the whole farmhouse idea. He really seemed to see what he wanted. Then do anything to go after and acquire her. He is probably the nicest, sweetest tough guy out there. Is Joe a Sinner or a Saint?

Claimed by Via Mari is the third book in the Torzial Affair series. This is a series that I would recommend reading in order as it follows the same characters throughout. This book is the perfect ending to this series. It was everything you could want and more and it has to be my favourite of this series easily. Most of the way through the book it felt like me heart was pounding and I was on the edge of my seat. It was fast paced and such an intense read, I loved it. You really grow to love these characters over the course of the 3 books and that is definitely thanks to the authors fantastic writing. She creates such real and engaging characters. I instantly knew that Brian and Jenny were going to be the kind of characters that I was fully behind. If you aren’t familiar with Via Mari already then I cannot recommend enough that you rectify that immediately!

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story By Jennifer L. Allen. This story was such a fun read. Tyler and Melanie has me completely hooked. They are so well written I forgot I was reading, they are completely relatable and you can’t help but connect with them. They form a friendship that slowly becomes more and it was so fun to watch. It’s a well written story that had me smiling most of the time. It’s a nice quick read. Characters you’ll love a a wonderful storyline make for an enjoyable afternoon escape to book land. I’m excited to see more from this author. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Into Pieces (Shattered Hearts Series Book 2) By: Nicole Banks 5 out of 5 stars
The story Into Pieces (Shattered Hearts Series Book 2) by Nicole Banks is a contemporary/new adult book. It is the next story in a wonderful series. I was hooked from the beginning of the book and soon found myself lost in both the storyline and the characters. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Jasmine and Angel. This is the continuation of their story. They both have demons that they are dealing with. Both believe they are broken. Can they both learn to trust and to lean on each other? There is a crazy physical attraction between them. There is a strong connection and chemistry. Do their hearts belong to each other as well? What does the future hold for Jasmine and Angel? Read this book to find out. This story does have moments that are suspenseful and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. The book also has scenes that are very steamy that make the temperature in the room rise. The additional characters are familiar in this story as they were brought forward from the first book. I enjoyed reading about how they are living. While many of the characters in this story are helpful and have friendly interactions with Jasmine and Angel, there are some who have their own agenda and plans that they want to succeed. I have grown to care about Jasmine and Angel and I can’t help but want them to find happiness. Don’t miss out on a story that you won’t be able to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend reading it. This is a series in which the books read in order. This story does have some sensitive content. Reader discretion is advised.

This is the second book in this series, I loved it just as much as the first. I highly recommend reading this series in order to help know where Angel and Jasmine have been to where they are now. In this book we get to know and see a little more of each of these characters. They each are struggling with their own pasts, battle after battle which kept me turning pages just to see what would happen next. Is there HEA in their future? They are awesome characters and their story is a must read.

Shattered (Shattered Hearts Series Book 1) by Nicole Banks. This is the story of Angel & Jasmine. I loved this story. Its about 2 friends who have always been there for each other. As one of their friends dies and they deal with the guilt and loss they turn to each other and their feelings change. They have both been thru so much trauma and hard lives will they ever be able to completely trust the other. They are both broken so can they build a relationship out of that brokenness? Jasmine also has a secret and its killing her knowing it. Will she ever get the nerve up to tell her friends the real truth. I loved the group of friends that we meet in this book and I can’t wait to read more about them. This is going to be a great series!

I published my first book Shattered in 2013. It’s the first installment in the Shattered Hearts Series.
Shattered started out as an assignment for a college course I took at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. After I graduated college I went through my old papers and reconnected with the story morphing into so much more then what I wrote in my college course.
Now you can find me doing yoga, listening to music and working on getting out all the stories in my head, including dabbling in poetry. (Which I’ve always had a secret love affair with).

Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander is just like her style of book. A great storyline with some drama and a lot of heat. In this book, Cy is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs Sweet who are the owners of Sweetopia. The workers of Sweetopia are arranging a strike so they bribe Cy to go undercover since no one has really seen him at the park. Cy has to go work a regular job undercover as Marcus Young and find out who is behind everything along with when and where the secret meeting will be. Cy never expected to lay eyes on a woman and be addicted to her immediately. Jolie is The Red Velvet Queen and as soon as they meet, the chemistry is off the charts. Cy has secrets he’s keeping from Jolie and Jolie has her own secrets she is keeping from Cy. What will happen when secrets are exposed. Will Cy be able to turn his back and go to Greece like he planned or will something happen to keep him from going? This is a story you don’t want to miss out on.

5 Star Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen is a new adult/ romantic comedy that I simply couldn’t put down till I finished the last page . I was pretty much hooked from the beginning. I’ve read other books by this Author.I love that the two main characters are decade loving nerds. One is a fan of the 80’s while the other one is a fan of the 90’s. These two have big dreams while working away at the publishing company they work for. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. It’s a pretty quick read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is an incredible collection of stories. The one I’ll be reviewing is Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia) By Phoebe Alexander. I knew going in I’d like this story since this author is in my top one clicks but it’s was everything I wanted and more. While is aptly named I was so in love with both sugar and spice parts. The characters Jolie and Cy were everything I was searching for, complex, relatable and a chemistry that jumped right off the pages. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The author tells a tale that captured my heart and wouldn’t let go. I’m so excited for more and can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. I wish I could give more than five stars but five will have to do. I highly recommend this book!

CLAIMED (The Torzial Affair Book 3) By Via Mari. Once again this author pulls me in and I couldn’t stop reading until suddenly I was done. This book is just as good as the others. Suspense, romance and throw in so steamy parts it’s a book that kept me on my toes. Jenny and Brian have quickly become one of my favorite book couples, they go through a lot and their story really draws you in. There’s twists and turns I wasn’t expecting and I loved every minute of this adventure with them. It a well thought out and well written storyline never feeling rushed or lacking. I highly recommend this series and this author so go one click for some amazing reads. Five stars all the way and can’t wait for more.

Claimed is the third and final book in the Torzial Affair series and what a final book it was. I have loved all of the books so far but the author really pulled out something special for this one it was an absolutely amazing read! Brian and Jenny’s journey has been such a rollercoaster to read about so many ups and downs that have kept me reading from page 1 in the very first book until the last word in this final book. I have completely taken them into my heart and I am so sad that their story is now over. Even at this late stage in a trilogy the author was still able to surprise me with the characters and throw in some great twists and turns to keep me on the edge of my seat! This has really been a fantastic series and one that I highly recommend. Claimed was a phenomenal final book in the series and whilst I’m sad its over I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion! I can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander Featured in the Sweetest Obsessions Boxed Set Collection is a five star novel. I have read other books by this author and have loved them all. I love how the world inside the novel was set inside a theme park for families. Almost like a Disney, but the author was able to make it her own. When Cy goes under cover for his parents, the bosses of the park, he has a hard time finding information and hiding who he is because he at first wants to defend his parents but then it turns to wanting to defend the friends he has made that are real employees for the park. I can’t wait to continue this series!

This review is for Sugar and Spice by Phoebe Alexander. I have to give this book a five out of five stars. The story focuses on Jolie and Marcus. Jolie is a strong independent woman that is used to being in control. Her life requires her to be in control and running into Marcus tests that. Marcus has his own motives but when he runs into Jolie his path is questioned. I had a hard time putting this book down it was so detailed and I just felt drawn to these two characters. I feel the need to read more books by Phoebe Alexander.

I am looking forward to reading more of this box set, but the story I am currently reviewing is Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia, #1) by Phoebe Alexander.
What a great beginning to a new series! This is the story of Cyrus, the youngest son of the owners of Sweet Enterprises, and Jolie, the reigning Red Velvet Queen of Sweetopia, the kid’s park owned by the Sweet family. Cy is tasked with going undercover (with an awesome British accent!) in the park to dig up information on which employees are causing trouble for his family. That is where he meets the Red Velvet Queen and sparks fly! Their attraction to each other is undeniable, but as you will find out, Jolie is not what she seems any more than Cy is! Will the secrets they keep and lies that they tell keep them apart? Who will reign supreme when it’s all over? Who will dominate? Dive in and find out while getting to know all the diverse and interesting characters that are brought to life on these pages!
I am really looking forward to the next installment in this series! Phoebe definitely left me wanting more, more, more!

Sugar & Spice Spicetopia #1 By Phoebe Alexander ☆☆☆☆☆ I read “Sugar & Spice” from the “Sweetest Obsessions” Boxed Set Collection. I have chosen to review Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander. WOW where do I begin! This is a contemporary romance novel. There is so much love between Jolie and Cy. But as we all know, a series of events will take place. Starting with Cy as the undercover boss. His job was to find out about a boycott in the family business. Jolie is the single mother of 2 young boys, one of which is terminally ill. She works 2 jobs to support her children, and the medical bills that are piling up. That is all I’m going to say about Sugar & Spice. As I will not give away spoilers, you just need to read this story along with the others in the boxed set.
Phoebe Alexander is one of the many authors, I enjoy reading. You will too! Her story is well written and loaded with some hot and steaming romance. Not just that, she has a way to suck up into her books and keep you reading. Her story also has you falling in love with Jolie and Cy. Real people, real life situations and powerful romance. Take this book and start reading, you won’t be sorry! As for Phoebe Alexander, I’m looking forward to your next book.

Sweetest Obessions is a boxset of romance stories. I particularly likes Sugar and Spice by Phoebe Alexander. This is a great story of how romance can come from the most unlikely of places.
Cy is the son of the Sweet family who own and run a family theme park. They are extremely wealthy but dont treat their staff very well. There is rumours of a uprising by the staff so Cy is sent in undercover to investigate who is behind it. There he meets Jolie who works are The Red Velvet Queen and starts to fall for her but there are things about her he doesnt know.
Jolie is a single mom to two boys. One of her boys is seriously ill. She struggles to pay the medical bills as The Red Velvet Queen so she also works as a mistress on the side to bring in extra money.
With so many deceptions between them and the potential uprising against Cy parents who will he choice and can their relationship survive?
It was a really enjoyable read, the characters were well written. I really enjoyed it.

Shattered by Nicole Banks is the first book in the Shattered Heart series. This book is highly emotional and does touch in sensitive topics however the author handles them with such ease. This book is all about the characters and their connection. You can feel it between them right from the start. The book does pull you in instantly and it really keeps your attention from start to finish. I was genuinely surprised by how emotional and heart wrenching I found this. I hadn’t expected that when I started reading it but I certainly enjoyed that side to it. And I have to say I loved that the book ended how it did, it made me much more excited to read the second book.

Sugar and Spice by Phoebe Alexander is part of the collection of stories in the Sweetest Obsessions anthology. This book is absolutely fantastic. I loved how real the charters felt and how completely engaged you become with them. Their story absolutely captivated me. Once I had started reading Sugar and Spice I just couldn’t put it down. This is definitely a one sitting type of book. Phoebe Alexander knows how to write and amazing book and this one is just the latest. It is well paced and utterly engrossing. Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander Featured in the Sweetest Obsessions Boxed Set Collection. I was already a huge fan of Phoebe Alexander having previously read her Eastern Shore Swingers Series, so was excited to read more of her work. This book did not disappoint in the slightest. I truly lived up to the high standards that I’ve grown to expect from Phoebe Alexander. I adored the 2 main characters and their sexual chemistry was off the charts HOT. As always this author has included some very hot and steamy sex scenes. Cy Sweet is the undercover boss, using the name Marcus Young, who is working in the family business Sweetopia to find out who is causing disruption amongst the staff. Little did Cy expect that he’d fall for Jolie Cox (The Red Velvet Queen). Jolie is a hardworking single parent struggling to bring up her 2 boys, one of whom has Cytstic Fibrosis. She hates the sweet family and everything they stand for but totally falls for Marcus not knowing his true identity. This is a really compelling story, seeing Jolie’s struggles to provide for her boys and the lengths that she’s willing to go to, to provide for them. But what will happen when she discovers Marcus’ true identity? Well, I’m not going to give a spoiler, you’ll have to read this fantastic book to find out.

I absolutely adore this author, I really do! I love the fact the characters she writes about are every day down to earth people, especially the females! They aren’t super skinny, tanned with big chests – she opts for the more curvaceous females who are just absolutely fabulous to read about! And the female lead in the story was no exception she was brilliant! A down to earth single parent who has body hang ups like most women but also was learning how to accept her body! Jolie is probably one of my favourite female leads from Ms Alexander; there was just something about her that made me connect straight away! I loved the setting for the story; a sweet theme park – such an unusual setting for a story –loved it! Alongside the amazing Jolie was ‘Marcus’ – I just loved him! I guess I could predict how the story was going to go but I still loved everything about the two characters and the way in which they met and how their relationship went along. There was the usual steamy scenes in the story, as expected with this author and again as usual they are brilliantly written with a great spice level!! I am so excited to see what is going to come next in the book, as Ms Alexander does lead us nicely into a second book in the epilogue! I think it’s going to be AMAZING!!!!!! This book definitely deserves more than 5 stars – I loved every single minute of it!

I LOVED this story! I really enjoy this author’s wonderful stories, they are so sweet and as the title says irresistible! She writes wonderful contemporary romance stories that are engaging from the start and with characters I always fall in love in love with straight away. I loved Tyler! I liked that he was able to admit his faults when it came to relationships, and I loved that he was obsessed with the 90’s! Totally my era for growing up! Melanie was just adorable, she really was! I loved her naivety and shyness when it came to even looking in Tyler’s direction and I admired her attitude when it came to the job that she absolutely loves! I could feel the connection between Tyler and Melanie; it wasn’t that all consuming passion in some stories but more of a gentle, slow burn – it was perfect for the two of them! For me I thought that they were just perfect for each other and I was rooting for them the whole way through. Simply Irresistible was a super sweet read and one that I highly recommend! I can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future!

Sugar and Spice is a fun story. Original and different. Our main characters are the Sweet family, specifically Cy Sweet and their workers from Sweetopia, specifically Jolie, the Red Velvet Queen.
Sugar and Spice is a little different than the stories Alexander usually writes. It’s a little “sweeter”. The sex is still spicy but the actual story is sweet. However, once Cy and Jolie get to the hot tub things just might change and lead to a steamier second story!
