To say I’m a sucker for single dad romances is an understatement. I LOVE THEM and this one definitely didn’t disappoint!
This is a story about Brian, a widow and has 2 girls, and Tess who is a songwriter who stumbles upon an ad looking for a nanny. The intensity between the two sizzled off the pages. I was completely hooked from the first page and kept thinking about the characters well after I finished the book. The story had all the feels that you want in a good romance with a splash of humor thrown in there.
I’m completely hooked now on this series and it’ll be a definite one-click for me!

This is the third book in this series, I loved it just as much as the previous two. I highly suggest reading this series from the beginning to help enrich your enjoyment. Once again, this author pulled me right into the story and turning pages fast. In this story, he has been gone for eight years giving her no reason. Now that he is back, he is ready to claim her. But will it be that easy? Their story is an emotional roller coaster ride that will keep you reading until the end. A must read.
September Breeze (A Cinnamon Bay Romance Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett is one of my favourites this year. It just hits you in all the right places and makes you feel. This story really touched my heart and I laughed and cried. It is an emotional read but Nikki does it so well. She is just a talented writer in this genre.
Tess needed a temporary place to stay for her current job. When she is handed an ad by one of the three meddling town gossips, the curious part of her would not let it go. What she found was so much more than she was expecting.
Brian and his girls needed help but they could not get the help to stay that is until one talented woman curiosity got the better of her. However, when things take a turn for the worse he wonders if they will ever see her again.
OMG you have to grab a copy and have a beautiful journey for two lonely hearts.

Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) By: Nicole Banks 5 out of 5 stars
The story Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that draws you in and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is the third book in a series that I have loved reading since the first story. I loved reading Kris’s story and of the one that has been gone for eight years. Kris is a woman who is strong, intelligent, and independent. She has learned to mourn the loss she felt when he left and move on. He is back. So are all the feelings that she had for him. He left her without a goodbye. That is a regret that he has always had. Now he is back and wants to reclaim what is his. Will Kris give him another chance? What does the future hold for him and Kris? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is emotional and had my emotions going up and down the entire time. It is also a book that is suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Many of the characters that are in this story are familiar as they have been brought forward from the first two books. I enjoyed reading about the interactions between them and Kris. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that you will not be able to put down until you finish it. I highly recommend reading it. I would suggest reading the books in order so that you will fully understand all situations that are going on.

Creatively living through music, writing and yoga.
I love the arts and how they move you and make you feel.
Reading has always been a great love of mine right after my love of music. Each song written is a story waiting to be told. Which, along with my over active imagination fueled my desire to write about the chaos that goes on in my head.
I love stringing words together. I love making people get lost in a story and connecting with fictional characters that remind them of someone they know.
I published my first book Shattered in 2013. It’s the first installment in the Shattered Hearts Series.
Shattered started out as an assignment for a college course I took at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. After I graduated college I went through my old papers and reconnected with the story morphing into so much more then what I wrote in my college course.
Now you can find me doing yoga, listening to music and working on getting out all the stories in my head, including dabbling in poetry. (Which I’ve always had a secret love affair with).

Wow! This book was fantastic! This is the third book in The Torzial Affair series and it is also the conclusion to the series. This book was a great way to end the series and I’m sad to see it go but it made an amazing and lasting impression. This book has it all… suspense, romance, danger and mystery! I love the main characters Brian and Jenny. Brian’s love was so strong for Jenny, he would do anything for her and he definitely showed that in this book. Jenny has had a hard life and the secrets she knows only make it harder. With the mob out to get her will Jenny be able to survive or will she get caught in the cross hairs? I am looking forward to reading more by this amazing author and I would recommend this series to a friend! Happy Reading!

This book was a little frustrating for me. It takes so long to get to the reasons why the MCs feel and deal the way they do. The events for both main protagonists are openly alluded to and we get to see their turmoil through their internal dialog.
“Woman love a hero almost as much as they love a man who is broken.”
Gwen is a strong independent woman who is running away from her past. Joe is a big bag biker who is NOT his past and is working towards redemption.

Another great book from a great author. Via Mari never disappoints. I started out reading the prestian series and I was hooked and now that I’m reading this series she is quickly becoming one one my favorite authors. There is action, danger, friendship, romance, steamy moments and so much more. I get so drawn into these stories that I become invested in the outcome of the characters. The author weaves such an exceptional storyline that I was unable to put this book down. I love reading Jenny and Brian’s story, I just can’t get enough. After everything that Jenny has been through I can’t help but want Brian to be able to fix it all. I highly recommend this book if you want to know what happens. This is an awesome series!

September Breeze is the second story in Cinnamon Bay written by Nikki Lynn Barrett. Cinnamon Bay is a series filled with romance, mystery, and magic and the stories take place in the quirky coastal town of Cinnamon Bay, North Carolina. Each book is written by a different writer which gives us a series that will fall in love with! Nikki Lynn Barrett is a new writer for me and I know I will be picking up her books now that I have read September Breeze. The small town matchmakers are at it again in this small town when they send a songwriter Tess Dixon to Brian Taylor’s door. Brian is a widow with two young daughters and is looking for a live – in nanny but of course it is not as simple as that as the add that Tess was given, it was not a live-in nanny that the family was looking for but a mother … You can imagine where the story might take us and I loved the two little girls and the patience Tess had with them and I loved the affection and the playfulness and I also felt drawn to Tess’ baggage … don’t we all have some? I recommend you to pick up a copy and join Tess and Brian and Alice and Tatum and join me in keeping our fingers crossed!

Into Pieces (Shattered Hearts Series Book 2) by Nicole Banks
5 ++++ Stars
OMG I loved this book, it was even better than the 1st one and I loved that one. This one brought out all kinds of emotions and fears and feelings.
This picked up right after book 1 and gave us so much, Im really loving the multiple pov’s. I wasn’t sure but I sincerely think I could read every book in that way. There’s no guessing about anyone and this author did it in a way you were never confused. This one delved a whole lot deeper into all the moving parts of this story and these characters, and that is another reason I love these books, you have your 2 main but you also get invested in many of the other characters as well.
I read this in one sitting because I sincerely could not put it down and in some spots I wasn’t sure if I could read it fast enough all the while not wanting it to end. I already have the next on my kindle and I’m so so so excited for that story, I already miss all of these people and I just finished this book.
I must add that you have to read these in order, I can’t imagine not having book 1 under my belt before reading this one or the next.
Many Thanks to this author for giving me another favorite series for this year, and another that I will definitely reread in the future.

Into Pieces by Nicole Banks is the second book in the Shattered Hearts series. You do need to read these books in order as this story is the first continuation of the story we began in book one. This book does so much more for the characters then even the first one did. For me the first book was so emotional due to the nature of it. However this book showed the complexity and depth that the characters have and this leads on you on a such a journeys The author really takes you for a ride as well. There are so Lang his and downs you really begin to questions whether or not this couple will make it. This is a brilliant book and I think everyone should read it.

Out Bad by Janice M. Whiteaker is book one of the Sinners or Saints series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I really enjoyed the book.
This book is Joe and Gwen’s story. Both characters carry some pretty heavy demons from their past. Joe tries to redeem himself at every step. He wants to be worthy of a family and a good life. Gwen is a workaholic. She’s pretty sure her chance for a family of her own has passed. When Joe meets Gwen, he knows she’s just the motivation he needs to clean up his act completely. The only problem with demons is they usually come back for more.
This book was pretty suspenseful. I couldn’t wait to find out what was happening. I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to read the next book!

Not so wrong is Book 2 in the Love Grows series. Melanie and Spencer hit it off right from the beginning. This book kept me entertained from the first page. Both main characters were very likable for me. Spencer is a billionaire who has everything he could ever want except someone to spend more then one night with. Melanie has been trying to get her group to the big leagues and has decided it’s just not in the cards for her. One thing Spencer and Melanie have in common aside from the desire to be with each other is music. Spencer loves to compose music and Melanie loves to sing. Will Melanie be able to write the words for Spencer’s music? Melanie is about to go home and help her sister take care of her mom and kids. Will Spencer and Melanie find true love together or will Melanie leave and never look back? This was a great read that goes quickly. It will keep you reading late an night when you should be sleeping. I loved this book!

Not So Wrong Love Grows Book 2 By Renee Regent ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ This is a full length Romance between two unlikely people. Who live very different lives, and the journey they have taken to find love.
Spencer and Melanie, what a fun couple. He is a billionaire that has secrets he is trying to keep. She is about to give up her dreams. Move back home to help her family. When music is love, they both write a song together. He writes music, she writes the lyrics. The two put their talents together and there you go!
Renee Regent has written a beautiful love story. Not just romance, she has included music. I was drawn in before I finished page 2, and kept reading until the end. Her book is well written, her research of music and her love for writing are within this book. You are bound to fall in love with her characters as well. I am looking forward to following her series. I know I will continue to read this series. Well done!!!

Out Bad is the first novel in the Sinners or Saints series by Janice M Whiteaker. This is my first novel by this author.
Joe is a former bad boy who had turned over a new leaf. He has a sweet and caring personality but because of his past mistakes he still beats himself over it, while also trying to find redemption.
Gwen is a sassy, hardworking, and stubborn woman who isn’t looking for a relationship just wanting to have fun and be casual. She also has issues of her own that she is trying to get away from.
While Joe is trying to convince Gwen that they can be more, his past returns and threatens the life and relationship he has found for himself. Will be able to protect Gwen?
I am really starting to love romantic suspense stories and this one really caught up attention. The chemistry and attraction between Gwen and Joe was off the charts. The emotion and turmoil coming off from each character. I just wanted them to find peace and be happy.
I am hoping there is more in the series because I would love to read more by this author.

Claimed is the 3rd and final book in the outstanding Torzial Affair series by Via Mari. It starts right where book 2 ‘Bound’ left us on a cliffhanger. I would not recommend reading this book without having read ‘Shattered’ and ‘Bound’ first as it one continuous story through the 3 book series. If possible, this book is even more action packed and fast paced than the previous two, taking the reader through so many twists and turns, and every emotion possible in the build up to a fantastic conclusion. The author throws a few surprises along the way that have you shouting out ‘WTF’. I loved this book, particularly the growing relationship between Jenny and Brian as he pushes her limits, bringing out more of her submissive nature. They seem unable to keep their hands off each other, resulting in many hot and steamy scenes throughout the book. Having done things back to front and read the 2 Billionaire’s Bodyguards book before this series, I loved seeing Jay and Matt in this setting. I also loved that the author drops some hints at the end of ‘Claimed’ as to what might come in the Billionaire’s Bodyguards books. All in all, this book brings a truly amazing series to a conclusion. I would most definitely recommend this whole series to others. Now that I have discovered this amazing author, I’ll be sure to read more of her work.

A great read about feelings.. Tess Dixon is a songwriter working for a movie set in Cinnamon Bay. She arrives finding no accommodation ahs been provided for her but a local woman offers her a solution with a live in job position to a small family. Curious, she goes to the house and accidently lands herself the job. She promises the father she wont stay long in the position. But over time feelings grow and health issues appear, making Tess question her want to leave. Can she stick to the plan or will her feelings make her want to stay after all? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Tess determined but unsure underneath or Brian as a good father but with his worries underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the sweet and silent Tatum or loud and boisterous Alice or the three eccentric ladies in Birdie, Hattie and Trixie I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the house itself small and tucked away but homely with the cypress trees and white stone. Or the scenes at the beach with the sea calm and blue as a space away from it all for the family wonderfully written. Or the storm later on with its sights and sounds so vivid its as if you’re actually there beautifully written. The switch of perspectives was written well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in the sections and asterisks to separate them. I also liked the Mary Poppins feel to the story like the strange advert and a nanny coming from nowhere who loves to travel and also the want to leave which were all excellent additions to the story. I also loved the respect toward peope with disabilities in the novel like with Tatum’ mutism just accepted and not criticised. I also loved the portrayal of visual impairment in the novel later on with Brian’s worries and fears emotive and relatable and perfectly written. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Into Pieces is the second book in the Shattered Hearts Series by Nicole Banks. This is a continuation of Jasmine and Angels story that we started in book one. This book doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, it is a fairly simple story- but it’s the characters and the emotional content which carry the story- with so much emotional content, this story really tugs at your heartstrings- all while we traverse all of the highs and lows alongside our main character. They have been through so much, and both have demons of their own to deal with- and I thought perhaps they may have it a little easier in this book- but Ms. Banks certainly made them ‘work for it’ as they faced their past and demons. They have grown, but haven’t yet learned to fully trust, or let down their barriers. This book has a more raw, sinister, and suspenseful feel to it than the first- which gave it a little more intrigue for me- that, coupled with the emotional, angsty storyline makes this book my favourite so far. Bring on book #3!

Into Pieces (Shattered Hearts Series Book 2) by Nicole Banks was an okay read that kept me reading.
The second book in this raw emotional read, it picks up where the last book left off. Following these characters over from that first book, which I did have some issues with, I was hoping that the MC’s would mature. As the two major subjects that this book covers, I was hoping for something more. As a serving member and a supervisor, I’ve seen, and have had to assisted with the issues persistent in this book. There were times that the author had it, I could see the growth, but there were others that I just sat back and shook my head. I still have problems with Angel, and I just, can’t get over the way he acted at times.
Overall this book wasn’t bad, the author does a wonderful job at expressing the characters emotions. Not just the MC’s but the side characters as well. The plot line is compelling, as we get more into the demons that both MC’s have and are carrying. That raw emotion is what kept me reading. Writing like that is hard to come by. So please take my recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get caught up in this feels invoking read.

This contemporary romance hit all the right notes for me. Melanie and Spencer were fantastic main characters to watch/follow. I dove right into the story and found myself on the last page before I was ready to let go. This book moved well and was full of emotion, romance, drama. You name it – this book had it. One of the better contemporary romances I’ve had the privilege of reading this year. Thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from Regent.

Out Bad by Janice M. Whiteaker is the first book in the Sinners or Saints series and I’m excited to see what’s going to happen in this series. MC style books aren’t usually top of my list, mainly because I haven’t found a lot that are respectful towards women. I can’t say what the rest of the series will be like but it’ll it’s anything like this book I will be a devoted fan.
I love Joe! He is my current boyfriend and I don’t know if he will be replaced for a while. He isn’t perfect and has done so much put his past totally behind him and become a wonderful and successful man.
Gwen has her own past that she is still trying to get past. But the moment she met Joe she knew she had to try and move forward with her life.
I’m looking forward to following these two characters and meeting several others.

really really wanted to continue to enjoy this series. I just couldn’t. I don’t want to spoil the story for others so this will he a a spoiler free review.
INTO PIECES is the second book in the “Shattered Hearts Series” and begins almost exactly where part one left off. I would not recommend reading this as a standalone. There are a LOT of moving parts.
Told in multiple POVs, we are able to “hear” the inner workings of a character’s thought process. While this was an enjoyable way to read Book 1, in Book 2 it bothered me a LOT.
This book was simply not my cup of tea and I always appreciate when an author puts words on paper for the world to read.
I am invested enough that I will be reading book 3 of there series.

Claimed (The Torzial Affair) by Via Mari was a great continuation of the series. I would give this book a five out of five stars. This book picks up right where the second one left off. Jenny’s life continues to stay complicated, but like with everything else she keeps to keep making progress. Brian always has a plan and things tend to go his way whether by design or force. Another book I just struggled to put down!

Shattered (Shattered Hearts Series Book 1) By Nicole Banks. This book is so aptly named because I definitely felt shattered while reading this story. I’m such a huge fan of stories that have the main characters going through hard to speak about subjects. But the author does a wonderful job of writing about subjects that can be haunting. This book may have triggers but it’s also a beautiful story of second chances and coming back from the worst circumstances. It’s told in multiple points of view which I love because I think it gives a fuller picture of what’s happening. Jasmine and Angel have a connection that I still fill even after finishing the last page. I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. With characters that I won’t soon forget. Five stars all the way!

This was an emotionally charged book. The emotions truly leapt off the page and overwhelmed me at times. Readers are rightfully warned of any potential triggers within the book.
Banks does a nice job with this next book in the series following Jasmine and Angel. I definitely recommend this book – it was engaging, enthralling, and very well written.

This book is hands down a must read for any fan of Whiteaker or any fan of good writing. This book is well paced, engaging, and has just the right combination of suspense and romance. It was an incredibly quick read, one which caught me by surprise on how fast I flew through the pages. Whiteaker is quickly becoming an automatic one click author for me. Riveting. One hundred percent recommended.

Whiteaker – Review by Heather Lovelace
Claimed was a great 5 star read and book three in The Torzial Affair trilogy. My emotions were all over the place with this read.
Brian’s love for Jenny was great, he would do anything to keep her safe and the last book in the trilogy didn’t disappoint. We get danger, action, suspense, steamy scenes, and so much more.
Brian helps get Jenny out of the charges regarding Ty’s death. They get her out of town quickly and to a safe place. The strings that Brian pulls to get her out of the charges could bring danger to their door and Brian will have to fight to keep her safe.
Brian and Jenny were my favorites in this trilogy. They connection these two had was great, Brian helped Jenny fulfill some of her fantasies and deal with her anxiety. There are some unexpected twists and turns. The secondary characters were great as well. You get pulled right in with the author’s writing and you won’t want to put it down until your done. I can’t wait to see what she has coming next. I would suggest 18+ readers due to some of the content.

Out Bad by Janice Whiteaker is the first book in the Sinners or Saints series. This was a fantastic way to start a new series. It is gripping and utterly captivating immediately. You are drawn straight into the characters and everything that is going on with them. The fact that they both seem to have secrets in their past just adds to the intensity. The story has a great rhythm to it as well. The author knows exactly when to shake things up and exactly when to keep them nice and steady. Without even realising it you will find yourself flying through this book in no time at all. I always enjoy this authors work and this series seem like it will be no exception at all.

September Breeze (Cinnamon Bay Romance Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett
5 Stars
I did not read the first of this series and that is ok because this can be read as a standalone but it let me know I need to grab the first as well.
I loved this story, it had a lot of moving parts not just a boy meets girl. they fall in love and live happily ever after. This one had issues thrown as these two from every angle, from her past to his past and even his future. I loved the small town feel of this story and the matchmakers trio cracked me up.
I have loved every book I’ve read by this author and if this book is any indication of the rest of this series then I will definitely have them all. I was done before I knew it because it was an easy smooth flowing read. I loved all the characters and there were a couple parts where I teared up and some where I had a huge smile on my face. This was just an all around feel good read and I can’t wait for more.
