I loved this book! I’ve read other books in the North Fork Series but I feel Make Me Burn is my favorite. The author does what she always does and sucks you into a story and a book one can’t put down. This was really the beginning of a whole new cast of characters that I’m not sure will pop up again if the author continues the series. However, only time will tell. Jinx is floating through life. She wants that great love but every time she thinks she’s found it something is missing. Yet she could never figure out why till now, when the reason has made eye contact with her. The one that got away yet the one she can’t have. Her brother’s ex-best friend Logan. He’s the one she always wanted and was devastated when he left. She knew there was a falling out but she knew Logan and something was missing in the story. Logan never thought he’d see Jinx ever again. And now she’s more beautiful than ever. She spent Holidays and summers with her family during his college years, and he secretly couldn’t take his eyes off of her, she was just off limits. She was also the only one to ever understand who he truly was. Unfortunately she’s off limits. Warned off by Victor when he told him to “never come near his family and especially his sister again.” Does she still want him the way he wants her? Is he willing to risk everything including his heart for one night? That and so much more happens in this story. Are they able to overcome the obstacles they face? This was a great series that kept me wanting more. I liked not having to wait for the next one to come out. This series had lots or raw emotions and romance with twists thrown in. The author has a writing style that really hooks you from the start. I like when the author combines some action in with romance. There is a lot of character growth in this series and the author writes that really well. I will say the second book in the series was my favorite since I am all for friends to lover’s romances. I definitely recommend reading the whole series in order just to get the feel of the author.

Wow this book was definitely not what I expected. This is a paranormal romance with intrigue, secrets, twists and turns which mean I couldnt put it down. The author does an incredible job with the characters. I loved Elsbeth how she was prepared to take a chance of a life lives on her terms no matter the cost.
Elsbeth’s life seems to be on a downward spiral, with her father dying of cancer, her relationship with her sister breaking down and finding out her boyfriend was cheating on her everything seems to be happening all at once. She needs to escape and that way of escape appears thanks to her great aunt. When a letter arrives telling her she has inherited her great aunt’s house she jumps at the chance to relocate but her dreams of a new start aren’t as great as they seem. From the second she arrives the state of the house makes her want to give up but she stays. During this time she meets 3 men. Ambrose is just like her ex and is giving her alsorts of red flag warning noises. Ben is a nice friendly guy who is helping her out and seems to have become her rock but can he really be trusted? And finally we have Bishop, the handsome mysterious man. The attraction between them is undeniable but Bishop isn’t all he seems, he is so much more than expected. As she gets to know these 3 men and learns the history about the house and island she now owns strange things start to happen and Elsbeth is forced to make decision she wished she didn’t have to.
This is a gripping read. At first it feels like a normal romance story and then the paranormal elements kick in and the book becomes so much more. I really enjoyed being taken on this journey with Elsbeth and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Jinx has been in love with Logan pretty much since they met…as Logan is Jinx’s brother’s best friend. Victor warned Logan that his little sister was off limits. When Logan disappears after a falling out with Victor, Jinx is confused and heart broken. But, when Jinx and Logan run into each other when he comes back to town…the sparks are still there. These two share a night that was a long time coming. However, Logan doesn’t want to come between Jinx and her family since they have all sided with Victor after the falling out. Jinx is determined to get to the bottom of what happened that night and see if there is a future of her and Logan.
I loved Jinx! She is strong and determined. Her feelings for Logan can be felt coming off of the pages. This book had a lot jammed into such a short book….brother’s best friend/little sister, second chance, drama, angst, spice…it’s all there. This was a quick and easy read. I was able to finish it in one sitting. Highly recommend!

Jinx and Logan have had an attraction and connection for many years that neither acted upon especially when years ago Logan became off limits, as far as her family is concerned. When they meet again at a wedding that pull of their connection draws them in like never before. I truly loved these characters and the storyline that flowed effortlessly through this wonderful book. I was captivated from start to finish! While this is book 9 in this series, you can absolutely 100% read it and thoroughly enjoy it even if you haven’t read any of the others. I do recommend checking out the others though because it really is a great series by a talented author.

Having read and enjoyed the previous books in this series, I was looking forward to being back with the O’Connell’s in Port Townsend and I was not disappointed. This is Jake O’Connell’s story as he causes a stir in Port Townsend having returned for his brother David’s wedding. Jake has made some dramatic changes in his life including leaving behind his enviable life as CEO of the family business in North Bend. He is now living in a rented Victorian mansion and has started a new career writing thrillers, which his friends within his old social circle disapprove off. Jake’s twin is the country heartthrob Joe Bob Blade who he has a complicated relationship with. He is also holding a grudge against his brothers who left him to be CEO of the family business whilst they followed their own dreams. Jake, who is still grieving for his friend, finds a muse in Chiara who he has an instant connection with but who is also married. This is an enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which had be hooked from start to finish. Once again the setting of Port Townsend came to life through the descriptive narrative making me feel immersed in the story. The wonderful characters both old and new all added to the story, and I love ‘catching up’ with characters from the previous books. The heartwarming storyline focusing on Jake and Chiara took me on an emotional rollercoaster and kept me happily turning the pages.

Good Story! I liked Jinx. She went after what she wanted and has a cool job. She really made this whole story happen. I thought it was a little slow at first but then picked up. I liked the interaction between these two. It seems like it would be a good series. Although I am not so sure about Victors fiancee but we will see.

This is the 9th book in the North Forks series. Even though it is part of a series this can be read as a standalone. This is a steamy read. it is an enemies to lovers, best friends sister, forbidden romance. There is steak, angst, passion, unresolved issues and chemistry between our main characters that just sizzle off the page. This is Logan and Jinx’s story. Logan is a successful businessman. He grew up in North Forks with his best mate Victor and even though there way something between him and Victors sister Jinx Logan never crossed the link. His best friends sister is off limits. Fast forward and after Victor and Logan’s friendships falls apart and Logan crosses paths with Jinx again, does he take this chance to get the woman he’s always wanted now her brother is gone and she is no longer off limits?
Jinx has always wanted Logan even when he was best friends with her brother. She was frustrated that he showed no interest in her. Now things have changed and with him now having no loyalty to her brother will this be the chance she has always wanted? Will they get their chance at a HEA? Or will them being together cause old arguments to resurface and put pressure on them? What will Victor’s reaction be to finding out his once best friend and his little sister are getting closer? Even though Logan and Victor are no longer friends should Jinx have been left in the untouchable category?
This was an enjoyable read and was captivating that I read it in one sitting. This author does a great job of bringing the characters to life and making the reader feel like they are right there watching things unfold.

Before You Say I Do is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I’ve read several books by this author and this may be my favorite yet. Her characters are real, fully developed and relatable. They make the story fly off the pages and you find yourself not only invested in the characters but the story to. Her style of writing and attention to detail makes for an amazing story. This is Emma and Liam’s story. She’s only interested in one night stands, she doesn’t allow them to stay over. This all changes with him. Their one night turned into more and more . But what will happen when skeletons come out? Can these two have a relationship they both deserve ? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Im already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This was a good 5 star read. I was pulled right in and done before I knew it. I really liked the characters. Jinx had fallen for her brother’s best friend until he up and left. When she sees him years later the old feelings come rushing back. Will they be able to rekindle their friendship and maybe more? Will the truth allow them to finally be together? Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get so much and some pretty good steamy moments as well. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing and I can’t wait to read more. 1-click and get started today.

The Closer: An Enemies to Lovers Dark Romance is the third and final book in The Hustlers Trilogy by Rowan Rossler. Urgh! This was such a bittersweet read for me- on one hand, I was excited to get the next instalment of the series and find out more about June, and Dallas….. but on the other hand, I didn’t/don’t want to say goodbye to this superb series, or characters. Seriously though, this series just seems to have gotten better with each new instalment, and that is testament to Ms. Rossler’s storytelling and writing talents. I really did love everything about the books/series- and I’m sad that this is the last – but excited to see what Ms. Rossler might have up her sleeve on offer next! This is a fantastic enemies to lovers contemporary romance with drama, suspense, chemistry, sizzle, tension, angst, past pain, dynamic characters, and much more. Again, as with the previous books, the characters were fully developed individuals, and the story was not only engrossing, but also sizzled off the pages. The author also managed to weave intrigue, drama, and more than a little tension into her storyline- which, again, made for an unputdownable read. June and Dallas have a complicated history that overshadows everything. June never wanted to see him, ever again, after what happened— but her budding business’s future is riding on her getting a major cash injection, which means having to face him again, with hat in hand. Mmmmmm awkward much! What ensues makes for a really great read. I definitely recommend this book, and the series- they are well worth the read. Looking forward to more from Ms. Rossler in the (near) future! Happy reading!

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series) by C.R. Alam. This is such a good romantic series. One of my favorite books was Dangerous Rhythm. Its the story of Lina who used to be Army intelligence but now works as Security for the rock band Canis Major. Curtis is the epitome of rock star, he loves money, women and a wild lifestyle. Lina is loving this easy job until she gets involved with Curtis. She has been trying to avoid him because she gets her emotions all involved. When Curtis sees something he shouldn’t he becomes a target of the Mob. Lina has to be around him now so that she can protect him from this threat. Lina isn’t strong enough to fight her attraction to Curtis but she has to for the sake of Curtis’ safety. Will she be able to keep Curtis safe along with fighting her attraction to him. Will Curtis ever settle down so that Lina won’t be heartbroken! I loved this book because of the mystery along with the romance! I also really enjoyed Echoing Hearts. This is the first story of The Echo Series and its a slow burn romance. Its the story of Rae who has been reluctant to find love because she has watched her mom be heartbroken for a long time. She is a travel blogger and goes to Dean Rowland’s ranch to do a article on it. Dean is angry at everyone due to being left at the altar. When he sees Rae he thinks she is trespassing so their first meet it not pretty. After their initial meeting he can’t get her out of is mind and he wants nothing more than to see her again. She refuses all his advances and when she finally gives in and they are starting to see each other her best friend comes to town and causes upheaval. Dean has never been jealous like this. Will he ruin their new relationship because of his jealousy.

Before I Let You Go is a Contemporary Romance with Paranormal/Fantasy/ suspense that will have you turning the pages till the end. This is a fairly new author to me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in but I was intrigued from the beginning and found myself lost in the pages till the end. I had a hard time putting it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. The characters are developed and creative yet make the story come to life. It’s a fast paced story with a few twists and turns. Elsbeth is in need of a change her life is falling apart. She finds herself moving to the remote island home she recently inherited. What she isn’t expecting is what she finds when she gets there. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The Changed Man The Olympic Peninsula Series Book 4
I have listened to all of the books so far and I had a hard time liking Jake due to the history and I unfortunately hold a grudge so Jake is still not a favorite of mine but that did not make me not enjoy the book. It was a great way to escape after a challenging day.
Jake’s perspective seems to change thanks to his friend Rory and that brings him back home amongst his Mom and siblings and their families. Chiara was a bonus when he got home.
My favorite things were Rory and the house Jake ended up in. It was the perfect place for Jake to end up.
We finally get the meet the missing O’Connell siblings Edward, not going to lie I’m looking forward to getting his story.
Ms. Treadgold does a good job narrating, her connection to the characters definitely adds a little something to it.

This was a good 4 star read. This was a dark enemy to lovers read that pulled me right in. June finds herself in need of help. The only person that can help is the last person she wants to even ask. Will he agree to help her? Will they reconnect or let the pain keep them apart? I really enjoyed both characters, June was strong and I really liked her. We get suspense, dark, steamy and so much more. There were several twists and turns that added a great element to the story. This is part of a series, which I suggest reading from the beginning. The Echo series box set includes four stories by CR Alam. Each story is written to be a stand alone couple however, they are all intertwined in each book.
Echoing Hearts is book one in CR Alam’s The Echo Series. Dean and Rae were quite the interesting pair. Though they were both stubborn, they were also scared and just wanted to be loved – even if they didn’t seem as if they did. Though Dean felt dry in a romance novel aspect, he felt real, like someone I would or could know. Rae was the sunshine in your cloudy day and always the positive one. I loved that about her character. I felt as though I truly got to know the couple as individuals. It made the story that much better.
His Forever Muse is book two in CR Alam’s The Echo Series. I fell for Brandon in book one. The romantic famous best friend. He just wants his happily ever after and he truly deserves it. Callie has had a hard time letting go from a hard past. There was a lot of character growth in this story from Callie. I enjoyed the second chance storyline between these two. It felt like any fantasy where you want to fall for the lead of your favorite band. I’m happy that Brandon got his story and that it was just what he needed. Very steamy spicy scenes. I feel like book two was much better than book one – though that is strictly personal preference.

I have enjoyed reading books by this author in the past. I specifically like that she writes YA books that are clean that I feel comfortable getting for my daughter. It is fun learning about Valeria Joseph, how she feels about her life in New York, what happened with her on set boyfriend Lance, how things didn’t quite work out like she expected with him. To read how Valeria truly feels as she realizes how lonely a big city like New York can be and missing many of the life long friends she used to confide in. It has to be tough for a young actress to keep going!

Before I Let You Go by Kellie Wallace. This is an amazing romantic suspense that’s a little dark around the edges. I was sucked in the moment I read the first page. Its the story of Elsbeth who has just had a really bad breakup along with a falling out with her sister. So not feeling welcome in her own home she decides she needs a change of pace. Luckily she finds out she has inherited a country home off the French coast. Thinking that her life is about to change for the better she is sadly mistaken. Once she arrives at the home its a mess. A huge disaster along with all she can think about is her sick father and the fallout with her sister. While in France she meets a man named Bishop who is very interested in. He’s handsome, a little mysterious and seems to be open to her. While getting to know Bishop she learns more about the dark history of the house and what all has happened in the past leaving a stain on its reputation. Weird things begin to happen and Elsbeth is not sure she made the right decision in coming here. Read this fun romantic fantasy to find out the crazy stuff that happens in this fun book!

The Changed Man is Book 4 of the Olympic Peninsula Series and I have enjoyed every book so far in this series but this is my favorite (so far 😊). I highly recommend listening to this series in order as you get to know the characters and I loved this story getting to know Jake in this book. This author gives me all the feels of romance, family drama, angst and definite roller coaster of emotions in this story.
Jake O’Connell is back in town…attending his brother’s upcoming wedding. When Jake resigns from his company…and being in town…things can seem tense. With a new career on the horizon as a writer… Jake also fights with the emotions of losing a friend and also charming the likes of Chlara….
Definitely give this a listen to find out what happens … and I love that the author narrates her own book.

Before I Let You Go by Kellie Wallace was such an interesting little read. Truly full to the brim with so many different emotions that its hard to truly put specific labels on them. As well as many entertaining twists and turns, that it was hard to predict what was coming next, let alone from which direction. Esbeths story is truly empowering, and her character was so relatable I found myself completely immersed in her narrative. I definitely recommend this book, and hope to see more from Kellie soon!

This was a quick read for me. The characters were fun and had decent chemistry. I thought the plot was good and it fit well into the genre. I liked how pieces were relatable. I would definitely read others by this author.

This book is a brilliant contemporary romance story that pulls you in right from the word go. For me, this book is definitely all about the characters. I really enjoyed watching the relationship between the main characters develop from a one night stand to something more. The story is a well written book and I liked the pace that the author had achieved. It added to the overall feel of the book and, for me, made it so much more engaging. I wanted to see how things would play out and what was in store for the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the moment I started reading.

As we continue to follow the stories of each member of this talented family we meet Jake O’Connell. Jake, who has quite the successful career in business has decided to leave that life behind and showed back up to Port Townsend. There he instantly rocks the boat, especially when he meets Chiara. Chiara is married to a man who clearly doesn’t love her and she is quickly swept away by Jake. This is a sweet romance with many ups and downs and ultimately ending in a surprise ending. This book continues to bring new and surprising things to the surface with members of the family having special talents. It could get a bit confusing at times as there are so many characters and it doesn’t focus solely on Jake and Chiara but overall, a good read.
