Alam – Review by Tori Mitton
This is a fantastic complete set of the Echo Series by C.R. Alam and I loved every book. If you love romance with twists and turns and raw emotion I definitely recommend this series. I love this series and I highly recommend reading the books in order as other characters in the previous books are included.
Echoing Hearts – Book 1 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wonderful second chance slow burn romance as this is a new author to me and I am looking foward to more!!
Rae Allen and Dean Rowland meet by chance, as Rae is working on a article for a Homes magazine all about Dean’s beautiful home in they eyes of Dean’s sister Kat. There is some tension at first, Dean is a bit stand offish and rude, Rae is all about business as she is a known blogger and journalist with her many adventures all across the globe. Sparks fly between Rae and Dean and months later, Dean is trying to persuade Rae to more….getting to know each other..Dean’s totally intrigued by Rae as she is no holds bar like the other women in Dean’s past. What needs to happen is also letting the past go in order for Rae and Dean to move forward. Will the past come back and haunt Dean before he can move on and fall in love?
Betrayal, love, banter, jealousy and mistrust play into this story and it was hard to put down. I loved Dean and Rae as they try and navigate their feelings while trying not to get their heart broken as well.
His Forever Muse – Book 2 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wow! Fantastic Read. At first, I was not sure how I felt about Brandon from Book 1 then continuing to his story in Book 2..but I can say now that after reading this story…. I love his character so much.
This story is of Brandon and Callie….they knew each other since childhood always together with Callie’s brother, Curtis. Growing up, things get complex…..Callie’s parents are hard on her always expecting the best, Brandon always there to support Callie when she needs him the most. Brandon is in a successful band, but also loves being artist and drawing in his heart. Callie works for an Art Gallery strives to work hard to prove she is not weak. Callie shares her story to Brandon……all Brandon wants to do is be there for her. Will Callie’s powerful ex get between Callie and Brandon?
This story is fantastic…romance, danger, family, intrigue and some twists I did not see coming and second chances.
Unexpected Entanglement – Book 3 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is such a fantastic read, I highly recommend! This story gave me all the feels as I devoured each page.
Dangerous Rhythm – Book 4 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I loved every page of Lina and Curtis’ story. The romance, suspense, on the run danger with a few twists and turns made this book hard to put down….and I really loved the reverse in roles as Curtis is a rock star and Lina is a hired bodyguard.
Curtis Bisset is lead guitar player for the band Canis Major…..out on the town for a night just to get away, Curtis does not expect to be witness to a deadly crime. This causes imminent danger to his family and also to himself….someone wants him to pay. Lina Cheung works for private security team and was tasked to keep Curtis safe at all costs. When threats to Curtis and his family run high… this take them on a multi country journey to stay ahead of the threat. Will Lina be able to keep Curtis safe or will blood be shed…..
Definitely read and find out. This story was fast paced and really took me on a journey.

Alam – Review by Lorralei Hoerner
James Bennett is ready for the next stage of his life, all ready to propose to Samantha but when a bombshell hits he is completely devastated. Picking himself back up he decides to concentrate on his Dad and the farm but in walks Sara and her son and all bets are off.
Sara is a traveling nurse, she enjoys the different locations and moving around. As her son is growing older its harder to keep moving as he makes friends along the way, although she has her secrets caring for Roy Bennett is one of the best jobs she has had but failing for James Bennett was not on the cards.
Can James convince her to stay?
I love this series although I thought Becky and Glen’s book was my favourite it has been trumped by this one. James has always been the silent hero in the background and then you thought he found his forever with Samantha you always will him a happy ever after.
All the stories have a running theme of the family and the farm but each can be read as stand alone books, although I recommend reading them all as they are brilliant. This story was just a lovely enjoyable read, as I said before James has always been the silent hero in the family to me and seeing his interactions with Noah, Sara’s son were just lovely to read.
Sara although was strong had a vulnerable side which came out and James’s character treated her with understanding and love. I love the whole Bennett squad and you just want to be a part of the family every time I read this great series.
I hope there is more books in this series following them as catch ups in there lives, don’t stripe me of the Bennetts please.

Rae is a travel blogger who track her travels on her social media, and occasionally freelances for her former employer, a travel magazine. Doing one of her freelance articles is what brings her to a home in Georgia where she meets a man who seems surly and unhappy with her presence. She assumes he is the husband of the owner of the home, who doesn’t appear to be present. When she realizes that Dean is actually the owner of the home…and not his sister, who was the architect of the home, she is forced to spend a weekend mostly alone with him in order to finish her article. The two initially mix like oil and water, but manage to survive their weekend together, and then don’t see each other for several months after. When they connect again in New York City, where they are both living, sparks fly, until Dean becomes jealous of Rae’s relationship with her best friend, Brandon, and has to figure out how to fix things, if he even can. This book is a great opening to this series, with amazing characters that you want to see find their happily-ever-after. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but once you fall into this world, I doubt you will want to leave it!
His Forever Muse
First, let me say, while Calliope, or Callie as she’s most often called, is one of the strongest heroines I’ve read about, there are multiple conversations in this book that may be triggering for some people, as Callie has had the unfortunate experience of being in a relationship with an abusive, controlling, and manipulative person who is aided and abetted by his family along the way. While the book does NOT go into graphic detail or show most of the incidents, these conversations can still be triggering for some people, so please, PLEASE take your own mental health into consideration before reading this book. That being said, this book was well worth the read. Callie Chen-Bisset goes through a lot, both within the confines of a romantic relationship, but also with her own family before that, and comes out stronger on the other side. She is abused mentally and physically, and comes out wanting to help others who have also been victimized by not just the same person, but others as well. Her main goal in that is to protect her daughter from the father who only wants her to try and gain the upper hand on controlling Callie. In the middle of all of this, she rediscovers a lost love from her youth unexpectedly. Brandon Rossi, was friends with Callie and her brother Curtis when they were all kids and teenagers until Curtis interferes due to his own jealousy, causing Brandon and Callie to not speak for fifteen years. When they meet again while Brandon is on a trip to try and find himself, and Callie is working with a client for her art business, they instantly feel the old attraction return. Brandon travels next to Paris where Callie lives and they begin a relationship while also trying to fight for custody of Callie’s daughter Eleanor, to protect her from her abusive father who only wants her to try and get Callie back so he can control her once again.
Unexpected Entanglement
This is another excellent addition to this series, that can be read as a stand alone, but I doubt that you will want to once you get started. When Rowan and her brother Kieran lose their father and learn of a half-sister all at the same time, they are not sure what to think or do. Rowan and her father were working on restoring their family inn, located in Vinalhaven, Maine, to its former glory, when her dad unexpectedly has a heart attack and passes away, leaving Rowan with a final message to find her sister, Rae. As Rowan and Kieran try to finish the work they had already started on the inn, as well as the farm attached to the inn, they try to find Rae, as the three siblings have been given the property to run together, and they all three have to be a part of it. Rae, however, is unable or unwilling to just suddenly become a part of what is going on, so her friend Chris decides to go check things out for her first. Rae is a well known travel blogger and her husband is part of a popular band, and they are worried that the siblings only want to find them for their investment abilities. Chris Sullens shows up without warning, but does explain to the siblings why he is there. Chris’ family owns a large, well known hotel chain, and Chris, himself, owns and runs a smaller hotel chain of destination based hotels. Chris is able to help Rowan to formulate more ideas of how to help her family’s inn come back, while getting it back up and running for a family wedding. When the pair unexpectedly find themselves to be fake engaged, in an effort to ward of unwanted advances of a suitor for Rowan and unwanted criticism from town elders who think they have the right to run the island and view it as theirs to control, the pair discover that they are good together – in more ways than one.
Dangerous Rhythm
When Curtis sees a murder outside of a nightclub, and calls 911, he is drug into a world of gangs and freud’s he can’t possibly see coming. The victim and the assailant are parts of rival gangs, and when the murderer is killed in prison, Curtis suddenly finds himself on the wrong end of a grieving mother with a vendetta. Lina is a former service member who is now a partner in a private security firm, and has been tasked with keeping Curtis and his fellow Canis Major band mates safe from crazed fans and non-fans alike. This time, Lina is tasked with keeping Curtis safe from this new threat. While moving around and trying to stay safe, Lina and Curtis realize that there is something far more between them. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but once you start with this group of friends, I doubt you will want to leave them.

Alam – Review by
Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn is Book 1 in the Shattered Embrace series and the first (but not last) novel that Ihave read by this author.
Hidden Mischief is the story of Ashton and Zachary. Ashton is very successful in her working life but very shy in her private life with hidden submissive tendencies. Zachary owns Shattered Embrace which is a sex club,he interviews Ashton with the aim to train her and approve her club membership but is captivated by Ashton and claims her as “his exclusive submissive”. This book ends suddenly so I am looking forward to Book 2 to continue with their story…
The Complete Echo Series Boxset by C.R. Alam contains the complete Echo series in one fantastic collection- allowing for a great bingeworthy reading session. The Boxset contains:
Echoing Hearts (Book #1) 3.5 Stars
Echoing Hearts is the first book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This was the first book that I have read by this author, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But the Title and cover intrigued me, as did the promise of a bit of an angsty read- so, I snapped up a copy and dove right in. And I am so glad I did as I discovered an interesting contemporary romance with an enemies to lovers/love triangle element, with plenty of drama, angst, emotion, chemistry, family, friendship, jealousy, doubt, and finding love unexpectedly. The enemies to lovers/love triangle element definitely added an extra element of interest to the story. I did enjoy the story for the most part. It was a little slow to get going and did lag a little in places, but the chemistry between the characters, and emotion of the story, kept me turning the pages.
His Forever Muse (Book #2) 4.5 Stars
His Forever Muse is the second book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This is a captivating second-chance contemporary romance- a friends to lovers rockstar romance with a best friend’s sister element threaded through. Brandon is the front man for rock band ‘Canis Major’. His whole life revolves around his creativity and artistic expression- music, art, and tattoos. So when he loses his inspiration and his creativity begins to suffer, Brandon’s quest is to find something, well anything really, that will reignite his creative passion. This is where he encounters a blast from the past, in the form of Calliope Chen-Bisset…. will she become “His Forever Muse”? This is well worth the read to find out…. There’s plenty of emotion, chemistry, friendship, and overcoming past pain to take a chance on love.
Unexpected Entanglements (Book #3) 4 Stars
Unexpected Entanglements is the third book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. This is another contemporary romance with a fake relationship element, an unexpected entanglement, chemistry, sizzle, emotion, angst, love, loss, grief, a little drama, danger, finding love unexpectedly, fate, banter, and more. Chris Sullens is about to have his world turned upside down when he not only finds himself offering to help plan a wedding out of the blue, he also can’t deny the connection that simmers between the stunning innkeeper/wedding planner and himself. But things take a very interesting turn when he then agrees to play her (fake) fiancé. So, get set as the sparks fly, chemistry sizzles, and things start to go awry. What happens definitely makes for an engrossing read.
Dangerous Rhythm (Book #4) 4.5 Stars
Dangerous Rhythm is the fourth book in The Echo series by C.R. Alam. I have really been enjoying this series, each book capturing my attention as the series just seems to be getting better and better with each new instalment. And this one is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. This story had me invested right from the get-go. Who doesn’t love a Rockstar/bodyguard romance. Well, this takes that and gives it a twist- as he’s the rockstar and she’s the bodyguard. Yeah, that got my attention too. When he witnesses a crime that puts him in the crosshairs of a psycho mob boss, thing take a dangerous turn. Her job is to make sure he stays safe. But as they are forced to flee, things heat up in more ways than one. What happens you may wonder. Well, this is definitely worth the read to find out.
As you can see there’s plenty here to keep you engrossed. Each book in the series focuses on its own ‘couple’, so they can be read as standalones if you wanted. But the stories have all, so far, revolved around the band, Canis Major, and/or their friends and family- in some way…… which gives plenty of captivating content to keep you flipping the pages, as well as providing additional details and storylines- which help to build depth, as well as paint a bigger picture’…… so this Box Set is the perfect way to indulge. Four books for the price of one. #winning If you love romance, rockstars, family, friendship, emotion, struggles, angst, some danger, intrigue, and plenty of sizzle- then this is definitely the series for you. Happy Reading…

I started this series before all the books were out so I was excited to see the 4 book box! This is a series where each book is a different set of characters but all of their stories tie together so you see many of them throughout each of the books. Book one is an enemies to lovers story that follows Rae and Dean. Rae is a travel writer and Dean is a successful businessman. He was left at the altar and she doesn’t really believe in a happily ever after. They fight, then they talk, then they get to know each other. It was a fun story! The second book follows Brandon and Callie. Brandon is Rae’s best friend and the leader of a rock band. Callie has been on his mind since they were kids and when they run into each other in Morocco he wonders if maybe he didn’t miss out on the love that he wants. Book three follows Rowan and Chris. Rowan is in charge of throwing an amazing wedding for her cousin and Chris is a famous hotelier who is hiding out a bit on a small island. She doesn’t want his help but he keeps pushing himself in and keeps trying to help. When some strange things start to happen they decide to work together to get the wedding done and start fake dating, which he hopes will turn into something more real. The last book in this series follows Curtis and Lina. Curtis is in the same band as Brandon and Lina has been a type of bodyguard for the band when they go on tour. Curtis becomes a witness in a murder and the mob is after him. Lina and the security team she works with step in to help and protect him. Curtis and Lena both have been changed as they work through emotions and past baggage throughout the story while running and evading and keeping each other safe. I truly enjoyed every book in this series and just read there is a spinoff from the farm that I can’t wait to come out soon!

Fearless Love is the 5th and final book in the Bennetts of Langston Falls series and what a wonderful and bittersweet ending. While I am sad that this series is completed, I am excited to see what this author has in store in future! Feeling like I am part of the wonderful Bennett Family, being part of a beautiful family that is full of love, loss, second chances and new beginnings.
James and Sara’s story is beautiful. Meeting on a chance encounter…..Sara is a single mother, raising her son on her own and a travel nurse. When Sara takes a job in Langston Falls she never expected to be enveloped no only being a nurse but into a family that accepts her. James was not looking for love after getting his heart broken and shattered, but when he meets his dads home nurse, Sara, instant chemistry hits. When secrets are revealed will James and Sara be able to overcome any obstacle that comes their way to find the love they both long for?
I loved this entire series and I highly suggest reading this series in order from the beginning. This is truly one of my favorite series ever.

I’ve read other books by this author, so I didn’t hesitate to pick this one up. I didn’t realize it would become my favorite one so far! If you haven’t read any of the series yet, make sure you go back to get the full picture as this one picks up right where we left off. I’m sad to see this series end but cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us next! The chemistry between Sara and James is evident as it jumps off the pages throughout the entire story. I love the small-town feel along with all of the emotions this great romance provokes! If you’re looking for a happy ever after with a dreamy gentleman and his not so easy history, this one is no doubt your next read!

K.G. Fletcher has written another wonderful book. Fearless Love being my second book by this author I can confidently say that I adore her stories. This is book number five in The Bennetts of Langston Falls and my first foray into this series but I’m going to be back tracking and reading the rest of this series. All of the novels in this series can be read as stand alone stories but I’m still interested into what has happened to the other Bennet Siblings. Fearless Love follows James and Sarah, who is a single mom to Noah. Now I’ve never really read this type of romance as I usually go for the darker, harder romances, or rom-coms, but this was a feel good, small town, second chance at romance story and I was here for it. So well written and a wonderful read.

I’ve been a fan of KG Fletcher’s writing in the past but hadn’t read any of the Bennetts from Langston Falls series until I picked up Fearless Love. I really enjoyed this book a lot, even without reading previous books in this stand alone series. I was really drawn to the storyline knowing that Sara was a nurse (so am I) and how can you not root for a single mom to find happiness? I loved how the story was told by both James and Sara’s perspectives and enjoyed the dialogue throughout. I was really hooked after Noah and James met and Sara pulled the protective momma card at first. The story flowed really well and the “supporting” characters were just as lovable as the main, even if it was my first time “meeting” them. I will definitely go back and read this series from book one!

I loved this series! The Complete Echo Series gives the reader the right amount of romance, drama, and love to keep you wanting more. Some characters are grumpy, some are boisterous, but everyone is connected in an interesting way. I was sad when the series was over. There’s so many characters that the author could’ve kept going and didn’t have to end it. Each book could’ve been read as a standalone but I’m the one that wants to read it in chronological order. Yet it’s one of those series you can shelve and come back and read it all over again. I love finding series like that. And this one I’m glad I started at the beginning. Trust me when I say if you enjoy this kind of book you won’t be disappointed. If you’ve read only one of them, here’s your chance to own them all! Happy reading!

Alam – Review by Beverly Finnie
I love this series about the Bennett family and just like the previous books in this series I was hooked from page one. I found that I was reading late into the night as I couldn’t stop turning the pages! As usual the small town setting of Langston Falls was brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in the story. This was the sensible brother, James Bennett’s story with a second chance at romance theme. James is still getting over a bitter break-up and is convinced that he doesn’t have time for relationships. That is until he becomes friends with single Mum and travel nurse Sara Larson who has been hired to be James father’s caregiver. Her and her eight year old son Noah are living at the local economy motel however, when James discovers this he invites then to stay with him and his two dogs at Bennett Farms. Sara and James can’t deny their mutual attraction and the connection they feel to one another once they start living together. James tries to convince Sara to stay and build a permanent life with him, but Sara has secrets including the fact that she’s actually on the run. James and Sara are both likeable and relatable characters who I felt instantly engaged with. Their chemistry sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes in this roommates turned lovers romance. The storyline kept me happily turning the pages and I love the fact that the story has a guaranteed HEA.

It has been a while since I have read a book by this author and as soon as I started reading this I remember what I liked about her work so much. She has a really distinctive writing style. Each book sets its own pace and really engages you, as the reader. The story was well thought out and fit the characters perfectly. This author has really found her footing with this genre. She really knows how to portray the emotions and thoughts of this age of character. Even though I don’t fall into the intended reader for this story, or really any of her books, I still always enjoy them. This was a great book that I would suggest you read.

Fearless Love is Book Five in The Bennetts of Langston Falls Series. It is a small town, single mom, second chance contemporary romance that centers around the characters of James and Sara. James has just had his heart broken by the woman he thought was the love of his life. He had planned a special night for the two of them and was intending to propose when she broke the devastating news to him that she did not see a future in Langston Falls and was leaving to pursue a career in the FBI. Sara is a travel nurse who has been hired to provide at-home care for James’ dad after he has suffered a heart attack. Her world centers around her eight-year-old son and she has a hard time putting down roots due to the nature of her job. When Sara and her son arrive in Langston Falls, they make a small motel their temporary home until something better comes along. When James learns that Sara and her son are staying in a motel, he wants to help and offers to have them stay with him as his roommates. James has sworn off relationships and is not expecting to find himself so drawn to Sara and the possibility of having a family of his own. Sara is fiercely independent, used to being on her own, and lives like a gypsy so the thought of staying in one place too long does not seem ideal to her. Is there a possibility of a future between James and Sara or will she move on at the first chance she gets? I love that the story is told from both James and Sara’s POV so that it enables a better understanding of each character. This book had love, loss, friendship, family bonds, romance, hope, secrets, drama, angst, and witty banter. Another superbly written book in this series by this talented author.

3.5 stars Looks can be deceiving. What looks like an ideal world is not what it seems. We catch up with old friends and characters from the previous books. Make sure to read the books in this series in order. The story flows well and is well written. Stars in the City by Krysten Lindsay Hager is a romance tale for YA/NA readers. It is a short story that is full of the usual insecurities, drama and angst, anxiety, jealousy and misunderstandings just to name a few. Valeria is an actress but hates the notoriety that comes with it. She hates the spotlight and prefers to stay in the background. Try dating someone who is famous whilst having to deal with the fame is not what she could have ever imagined. Falling for your first love all over again who is famous in his own right, and it could be a recipe for disaster. Krysten is known to be good at writing this genre for the YA/NA readers so get on board and start reading her books today.

4.5 stars This extraordinary series is now in one box set for your reading pleasure. No need to see what book comes next or where to get it from because it is all four books together to read one after the other.
Echoing Hearts is a Contemporary Romance tale and the first book in The Echo series, and it was a lovely story. Our two MCs are both strong willed and always have to be right. Both with issues from the past this was not an easy journey, but it was fun watching them come together. There is angst, drama, a lot of passion and steamy scenes, and let’s not forget the humour. I really enjoyed the push pull and tension between the two as they are both as stubborn and strong-willed as each other. This heartfelt tale will pull on the ol’ heart strings along the way. There are a couple of twisty turns and a blast from the past as the road to love is not always paved with gold. I really like the secondary characters and can’t wait to see if they get their own stories.
His Forever Muse is a romantic suspense friends to lover’s second chance story. It is the second book in The Echo series. I enjoyed the first book Echoing Hearts, so I was looking forward to seeing the secondary characters from the first book get their own story and what this book brought to the series. I fell in love with this book even more. Although this story has some domestic violence themes, which may cause some triggers the author did a good job of not writing it graphically. This heartfelt tale will make your heartache along the way as we watch our female lead find herself in a safe and loving environment that helps her to find herself and her strength once again. There is pain and suffering, angst and fear, tension and suspense and a couple of twists and an unpleasant ex from the past.
Unexpected Entanglement is the third book in The Echo series. I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and this one is no different. I like that CR has intertwined the characters throughout the books. This is probably my favourite of the three so far. This heartfelt and fun love story will have you falling in love with the characters, Rowan and Chris. I also enjoyed their back-and-forth banter. The supporting characters were great too. There is tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion and humour, danger and suspense, pain and emotions. This is a great read, and I was hooked from the word go. This is a captivating tale, and I liked the fake relationship trope and all that comes with trying to keep things straight. What is supposed to be a simple wedding turns out it is anything but……. Are lives in danger? You will have to read to find out.
Dangerous Rhythm is the fourth explosive book in the romantic suspense The Echo Series. It is action packed and so engrossing that the story was over before I wanted it to be. The story is refreshing as the protector roles were reversed. The book is well-written with characters that are well developed, with faults, strengths and weaknesses that make them believable. CR also intertwines the characters throughout the books, so we get to check in with them. Her job is to protect the one man that gets under her skin. But can she do her job, keep him safe and not give in to his charms. He life looks picture perfect, but he unwittingly finds himself thrust into a dangerous world where murder is the norm of a day. This is a captivating tale has suspense, tension and angst, chemistry and steamy scenes, unbridled passion, danger, pain and emotions. If you are a fan of romantic suspense, you will enjoy this book. I look forward to reading more of CR’s work.

What a fantastic book by a truly wonderfully talented author. I really enjoyed following Rae and Dean as these two remarkably strong willed and determined characters fell for each other while fighting against past hurts that they believed not only formed them but also protected them. This book is a really great read with wonderful characters, both main and side characters are well developed, vivid writing that enables you to completely envision the world they live in and a creative storyline to keep you reading page after page! It’s a fantastic start to what I am sure will be a fabulous series! Bring on the next book I say!!
The story of Callie and Brandon had me hooked right from the start and I simply couldn’t put it down until the end. This truly talented author created amazing characters full of heart and weaved a captivating, relatable storyline that the reader can fully visualise while reading. Important issues were addressed with such great care. I totally fell for Brandon in the first book of this series and this book just cemented that even further.
This very talented author creates such amazing characters and storylines filled with so much heart! I was instantly in love and was completely invested in the story of Rowan and Chris right from the start. Having met Chris a little in the previous books in this wonderful series I knew his story was going to be a great read and it definitely was that and so much more! Now if you haven’t read the previous books you will still follow the storyline and enjoy it wholeheartedly but I HIGHLY recommend reading the entire series simply because the people and places created in these pages will burrow into your heart to stay and you don’t want to miss out on that.
Book 4 brings us the story of Lina and Curtis and I just know you will be hooked from start to finish just like I was. We also get to touch base with characters from previous books which I really think adds depth to a series. There is always something happening with steamy moments thrown in so if Romantic suspense is your favourite read then this book is for you.
I truly Love the Echo Series and found myself getting more and more hooked with every book I read. This talented author always brings to life her characters in such compelling and relatable ways that you just won’t be able to put the books down!

Echoing Hearts 4 Stars Rae Allen doesn’t believe in love or happily ever after. She’s seen enough in her family to jade her for life. Thankfully, she has some pretty awesome friends, especially her best friend Brandon, who are there for her when things get rough. Her friendship with Brandon is more of a kindred kind…they are thicker than thieves, almost as if they were brother and sister. Brandon would do anything for Rae, especially after she helped him and his band land an amazing producer!
Dean Rowland is living a life of luxury. He’s surrounded by wealth, fame, and women. He’s living the life as one might say, proud of all his accomplishments. Except for the one thing he couldn’t conquer…getting married. After being jilted at the alter, Dean is happy to swear off women forever.
Rae gets a call for a favor. Her friend needs her to go and check out this house in Georgia for the next issue of the magazine that she publishes. This house is a bit mysterious and Rae doesn’t get a lot of background on it. When she arrives at the house, she can’t seem to get anyone to come to the door, even though they should be expecting her. The next scene will be on that will change her life forever and have her heart sending echoes out across Lake Lanier.
This was a very enjoyable read for a lazy Saturday afternoon! I read this book in one sitting. It’s a typical romance read and one where both main characters should be hog tied for their antics towards each other. This does have a happy ending and I even found myself tearing up in the end!
His Forever Muse-4 stars I’ve been anxiously waiting to get my hands on this book after reading the first book in this series! This book, while the second in a series, can be easily read as a stand alone.
Brandon Rossi is the front man for a rock band, Canis Major and his best friends are his band mates. He’s restless as the band has just come off a huge international tour and his artwork is slowing down a bit. He’s ready to get out and find what it is that he’s missing. Rae, one of his dearest friends, encourages him to travel and continue doing some artwork while he’s seeing sights. Brandon decides to go to Morocco to visit his friend Chris, and while there, he meets up with an art gallerist.
Calliope Chen-Bisset is that art gallerist and once she lays eyes on Brandon, a lot of great childhood memories come flooding back to both her and Brandon. Callie is the sister of one of Brandon’s bandmates and while they never hooked up while growing up, there has always been some sort of attraction there. Brandon helped Callie get through some difficult points in her life but not the most difficult ones.
Sparks start to fly between Callie and Brandon as soon as they lay eyes on each other but it’s been 15 years since they last saw each other. Callie’s family hasn’t mentioned her in years and, truth be told, there has been a bit of a rift between them too. Callie has experienced things that no woman…no person ever should experience but now that Philippe is a part of her life, she will always be looking over her shoulder. He’s the crazy ex-lover who just won’t let go.
Can Brandon keep his reputation in tact while learning to love Callie and her scars?
I loved this book and already can’t wait for the next one! There are some difficult topics covered and the author does issue a warning at the beginning of this book. I was not personally triggered by any of the scenes as they were handled quite delicately with enough information to let the reader know what happened without being overly graphic. This is a second chance romance of sort, but more importantly, a phoenix rising from the ashes story.
Unexpected Entanglement- 4 stars Rowan Kelly has inherited an inn and she’s super excited to host her cousin’s wedding there. Everything has to be perfect and beautiful for the big day. Rowan can handle just about anything that is put in her way but having an extra hand or two never hurts!
Insert Chris Sullens. Chris is a well-known hotelier who is more than happy to dig in and help Rowan make this wedding the best ever. What he didn’t expect is the role that he’d be asked to play in order this wedding to go off WITH a hitch!
This is probably my favorite book of this series so far! There is an overlap of some characters from previous books (it was good to catch up on them!) but this book can be read as a standalone easily. I look forward to seeing where this series continues to go!
Dangerous Rhythm-4 stars I am a total fan of this series!! I love the writing style, the humor (and this one…well, just read it!), the suspense, the drama….it’s all in here! I think this is my favorite book of the series so far but they are all really good! The tension that Lina displays, although she’s trying to be professional, just lets you know that she’s a ticking time bomb of emotions. Curtis is a rockstar that just can’t hide his vibe. The Stilletto’s? They’re as ruthless as they sound.

Echoing Hearts: This is the first book in this series that I enjoyed reading. It is a story that is full of romance and attraction that brings heat to another level. I enjoyed how the author used details to bring the characters to life on every page. They are connectable and have great growth throughout which made the story easy to read. This is a fast paced story that you don’t want to miss for sure. A fast paced, engaging, hard to put down story that kept me turning pages to the end. I highly recommend this book.
His Forever Muse: I enjoyed reading this friends to lovers romance story. This is one of my favorites by this author. I found this book to be well developed where the author used details to make the story realistic. A story where it is full of not only romance but some suspense as well. Brandon and Calliope have known each other for most of their lives. He is her brother’s best friend and should be off limits. What happens when she runs into him in the middle of the desert? He is a steamy adult now but does that mean he is still hands off? You don’t want to miss what happens with these two. They have great growth and chemistry throughout. There is even a little suspense that you won’t see coming. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story. It is entertaining and easy to read. An engaging story that I highly recommend.
Unexpected Entanglement: This is the third book in this series which I enjoyed reading just as much as the previous two books. I would highly suggest reading the previous two books to help your enhancement of this author. This is a series I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This book is just as engaging and hard to put down. I enjoyed how the author used details to make her story come to life on each page. The characters are relatable, strong and supportive of each other. They pull you into their world from the start and have me coming back for more. I enjoyed watching their growth and their chemistry just as great to see. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. A story where a simple favor turns into so much more for these two characters. You don’t want to miss what happens next. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it.
Dangerous Rhythms: This is the fourth book in this series. This is a series that keeps getting better and better with each book. I highly suggest reading the previous books as well to help your enhancement of this author’s writing skills. They can be read as a standalone but they are really enjoyable stories you don’t want to miss. This is a well written story where the author used details to make the story come to life on each page. The characters are connectable, engaging and they certainly bring romance. A story about getting caught between duty and love. Which one will win? Could it be that both situations are a win? I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They have great attraction and growth throughout the story. A fast paced story that is not only hard to put down but also engaging to the end. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

This novel has an interesting plot. I’ve never known people to invite others into their home to review it unless they are looking to sell. Kat does not want to sell, so it is peculiar to me that she wants someone to write about it. Other than that, Rae is a force to be reckoned with both professionally and personally.
Rae and Dean have this connection that is undeniable from the moment they meet. You can feel every bit of emotion from the authors writing. If you are looking for a great romance novel, this is it. I cannot wait to read the sequel!
His Forever Muse:
Where do I start? This novel is just as good as the first! The author does such an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. Brandon and Callie are best friends that lost connection and are brought together by fate. The lack of judgement that Brandon has toward Callie is outstanding and I believe he should be the standard for all men to look up to. He is not perfect by any means, but I absolutely love his character.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series. The writing is phenomenal and so easy to sink your teeth into. If the characters and plot are anything like the first two novels, then it will take me no time to read the third. Highly recommend! Super cozy novel with some action and suspense tied in.
Unexpected Entanglement:
This author knows how to create amazing, relatable characters. Even though Chris Sullens is a famous entrepreneur, he can talk to and relate to a small hometown community. From the main characters to the smallest of characters, the author puts an immense amount of personality into each of them as if you have known them for multiple series. In this case we have known Chris, but not to the extent in which we now know him in this novel.
This book is a tale of two love birds that struggle to express their opinions to each other but wear their hearts on their sleeves. The story of Rowan and Chris pulls at my heart strings and I was rooting for them every step of the way. Frustration, anger, lust, and happiness are all emotions that play major roles in this novel and I highly recommend you pick it up! There is a small amount of love scenes in this book which I appreciate because I do not enjoy complete erotica novels. It is easy enough to skip over those scenes as well. I sincerely cannot get enough of this author!
Dangerous Rhythm:
This author hits a sweet spot for me every time I read one of their novels. Each one of the Echo Series books can be read as a stand alone because there is not much information that you need to catch on to the current book. That being said, I absolutely think it is worth it to go back and read the others if this is the first one you plan on reading!
I loved Curtis and Lina. They fit together like PB&J even though Lina tried her hardest to stay away from Curtis. I also love the tidbits of information about the Chinese culture. If you like a good romance intertwined with some suspense, this is the book for you. I cannot recommend this author enough.

Alicia Street’s Make Me Burn follows Jinx, who has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Logan, for as long as she can remember. The problem is, her brother Victor now hates Logan for betraying him years ago. When Jinx and Logan see each other again for the first time in years, they can no longer hide their feelings for each other, but the tension between Logan and Victor keeps coming between them. This was an enjoyable story with a lot of angst and plenty of romance. The only thing I found a problematic was the age gap, which would be fine but it was explained that he was attracted to her when he was in college and she was underage. My favourite character is Jinx because she’s a strong, independent woman, and I love it when romance books portray women as enjoyers of sex and not just innocent. I recommend this book if you can see past the age gap. Jinx and Logan clearly have a lot in common and strong feelings for each other so they are a couple to root for. ‘Every glimpse of Logan a treasured image to store away in her secret vault.’

Fearless Love is book 5 in the Bennetts of Langston Falls. It follows characters James and Sara. James who is closed off from love after a devastating breakup and single mother Sara a travel nurse who never stays anywhere for longer than a year.
This is a contemporary romance. Not my current genre of interest but a great story regardless. I loved the story and detail given to the location and characters. K. G. Fletcher did well with this book. I will definitely be looking into other books Fletcher has written.

I absolutely Love this series and I’m kind of sad we are at the end. This AMAZING author always creates such captivating storylines and wonderful characters that weave their way into your heart and this book is yet another fine example of that. I truly loved every single word of James and Sara’s story filled with so much emotion and amazing chemistry. I so wish I could go to Langston Falls. LOL As I touched on before this is the last book of the series and even though it can be read as a standalone you truly do need to do yourself a huge favour and read the whole series. You really don’t want to miss a single one!

Alam
The Changed Man is the fourth book in The Olympic Peninsula series by Cat Treadgold. It is a superb addition to the series, which just seems to get better and better with each new instalment. It is a contemporary romance with a bit of a ‘family saga’ feel, plenty of emotion, heart & soul, wonderful characters, family dynamics, secrets, drama, angst, layers/facets, interconnected details, complications, slow-burn, intrigue, mystery, and more. This is Jake O’Connell’s story, he’s the O’Connell’s brother (Joe Bob, David, and Teresa have had their own stories in the previous three books). His story definitely grabbed my heartstrings, and plucked them, hard- making for a sweet, heartwarming, emotional, and memorable read As with the previous instalments, Ms. Treadgold has woven a great story with complex characters, dramatic developments, tension, and emotional touches- which made it really easy to connect with the characters, and allowed me to completely invest in their story- while adding her own special touches that imbue an extra element of charm to the overall story/series. Oh, and I love this cover, it’s my favourite of the series, so far…. Looking forward to Book #5, The Fallen Man- which is Edward’s story. Happy Reading…

This is a quick, fast paced read. It is the ending of the series. I feel that if you haven’t read the others in the series you could still read this and then go back and read the rest. There might be spoilers in doing so but it doesn’t distract from the story line. The characters in this book are amazing. The leading female is a single mom who has an amazing career. Her son is a character that you will love. The leading male character is just a really good guy. Those don’t generally exist, like there is normally some underlying issues or trauma that the male has to work through. Not with this book. The leading female is the one with the “baggage” in this story. There were times when I was wondering when the other shoe was going to drop but that didn’t happen either. There is growth for each of the characters and that brings them closer together. There is some steam in this book but you are more focused one the storyline that the steam. I felt like it was a great ending to a series. I am sad to see it end because I’m selfish and didn’t want to stop reading. I was at the end of the book before I even realized it. I highly suggest reading this if you love some small town, single mom, romance. It was just very heartfelt and uplifting to read. Reviewed by: @bbohls
