My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fantastic!! Truly fantastic book. From page one I was hooked until the very end. I am so excited for this new series from this author.

Caspian and Paisley…..from the very beginning I was rooting for them for a happily ever after. When Caspian finds out his uncle Preston’s dying wish is for Caspian to find love and be married for at least 1 year in order to be the true CEO of Archer Industries. Being CEO is all Caspian ever wanted. When he runs into Paisley, Caspian asks Paisley if she would be his “wife” and in return she would receive a lump sum of money, but not only that, Paisley’s mother would get the care she desperately needs as she is in a coma. Once this plan is in action, it really sets off a pattern of events of Paisley and Caspian’s connection to each other in the past, sizzling hot moments, love, loss and demons that Caspian has to overcome.

This story is truly just phenomenal. I loved every moment as the story unfolded and at times really took me on roller coaster of emotions, especially Caspian’s past growing up. I recommend this read and looking forward to book 2!!

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #1)Conveniently Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“My only regret is that I haven’t pushed you enough to experience life outside of the boardroom.” Caspian’s uncle reasons for his request for Caspian to marry or he’s selling Archer Industries. Caspian thinks he has everything, which is only material things, till he bumps into a brunette with pigtails from his past. Paisley Fisher is having troubles of her own that revolve around her mother’s health. Can they both help the other out with their problems?

This marriage of convenience romance was intriguing but at times a little predictable. Characters were likable and relatable, a great start to this series. As my first book by this author, I’m really looking forward to more of the Titans of Manhattan men.

CADE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #3) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Angela Shirley

Cade (Default Distraction #3)Cade by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cade has had his demons which he hopefully has worked hard to put behind him, but Winter is his one challenge that he has always been attracted to but she has always hated him. The only problem is Winter is one of his best friends and bandmates sister.

Winter has loved Cade for what seems forever, but after the one encounter when she was young and he dismissed her and she felt like show was just a notch in his bedpost but now when she needs this job more than anything can she put all her heartbreak behind her.

But as they both open their heart to each other can the secrets they both hide break them or make them?

OMG I loved this story, why have I not read anything by this wonderful author before. This is the third book in this series and to be fair the story flows and this can be read as a stand alone book, the story is well written and brings all the insecurities and flaws of both characters which just makes you love them even more and want to get past the history and embrace the present and future.

I got that involved within the main characters and the secondary characters I had to read the other books in this series and loved them just as much as these two. Thank you for allowing us to the world of Default Distraction and can’t wait to read more.

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Dahnielle Hibbert

Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a great book with a very compelling story line. The final story in the series really captured my heart and my attention. This is a page turner and I was unable to put it down until I read every last word. While it belongs to a series (a pretty great series too) it can be read as a stand alone.
Luke and Nikki are from different families with a lot of the same flaws. Their backgrounds make them cautious to let their hearts fall for each other. Luke has a four year old daughter, Brie and he needs a nanny for her. Nikki has had a major teenage crush on Luke forever as he is in her favorite band. She interviews for the nanny position and gets it. Their attraction is instant but can they let the past hurts go and allow love to heal them? Definitely worth the read!! Just grab some tissues as you will need them, this book is full of emotions.

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Angela Shirley

Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Luke was a foundling, left on the church steps so from an early age he wanted more, so when he met the three other brothers his life changed. That’s when he met who he thought was the love of his life but with drugs and alcohol they could not be enough for each other and then when he became a father and then lost his wife , could he live again or just survive.

Nikki has lived her life trying to help her family as the oldest daughter to a single parent she has always had responsibilities, but when her job as a nanny for a mega music producer hits the rocks she feels she is letting her family down, but when I chance meeting and a advert in the local village message board has her head in a spin not only is he handsome and his daughter a cutie but he is her teenage dream. Can she be professional enough to just be a nanny or will she give love a chance and jump straight in.

I can’t believe this is the last book in the series as I feel I am so invested into this family group that I want to know what’s happens after, does Brie grow up to be a dancer, Does Flint do what his heart wants to do. Do they all live in UK and live happily please tell me.

I loved the characters of Nikki she was full of Sass and as we say spit and vinegar, I loved that she was not intimidated by the Rockstar in Luke, I loved that you got to see the other side to him the vulnerable child still in him and him evaluating his life before Nikki.

The story flowed brilliantly and the characters were well developed and written, I loved this whole series with the same timeline but to peak into each of their lives and see how the whole dramas play out was brilliantly. I would recommend this series as a great emotional read and that you are pulled so far into these characters lives you feel like you are living each moment with them.

Thank you for such a great series and can’t wait to read more books by this author.

Conveniently Yours is the first book in the Titans of Manhattan series by Anise Storm. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I look forward to reading more. It is an enjoyable contemporary romance and would be enjoyed by fans of this genre. When Caspian is tasked with what seems like an unlikely goal by his uncle in order to take over the family business it is fate when he bumps into his childhood neighbour Paisley, who is going through a challenging time in her life. As the couple gets to know each other better they find that the marriage of convenience can be more than just a contract. This book has some really powerful storylines and I really enjoyed it.

Can I just say…. WOW! I was introduced to Derek and Julia in book 1. Born to Fall book 2 is their story. I really enjoyed watching Julia’s character grow and too see just how patient Derek was with her. The author did an amazing job. The details made it super easy to create moving pictures in my mind. It was as if I was watching the story in my mind. There was a perfect balance of love, lust, rage, sorrow. Can’t wait for book 3 and the next couples story.

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan BOOK 1) by Anise Storm

5 out of 5 Stars

WOW! This book is emotionally charged, steamy, and ah-maze-zing!!! To be completely honest, I had a little difficulty getting into the first chapter, but then, once I started reading the second, third, fourth, and fifth chapters I could not put it down. I was in. I agonized with Paisley. I was furious at Caspian. I gasped at Candy’s brazen behavior. I cried for Maureen. I wanted to throw things, like punches, at Preston!

Caspian Archer is nearly at the top of his game. He has everything he wants except the CEO title his uncle is about to give him. Caspian loves his millionaire lifestyle, Park Avenue penthouse, several friends with benefits that know it will never be more, great friends, a seat on the Board of Archer Industries and the power that goes along with it. Preston, Caspian’s uncle, suddenly puts a clause in his will that states that Caspian has to marry and remain so for one year or he won’t get the CEO title. Preston has stated that he would even sell the company. Caspian is at a loss.

Paisley Fischer has reached the end of her limits. Paisley is working to pay her mother’s hospital bills and the care is getting more expensive. None of Paisley’s art is selling at the gallery where she works. Her rent is due and she is not sure there is enough to pay it. She doesn’t know what she is going to do until she, literally, gets knocked down by fate. Paisley and Caspian were drawn to each other as children growing up in the same neighborhood. Now he has asked her to help fulfill his uncle’s demand.

Paisley and Caspian have a past but can they have a future?

This author has wrung all of the feels out of me again. I can’t wait for the second installment of this series.

This story was very intense as well as sometimes frustrating. A classic tale of an arrogant alpha male that doesn’t want to be tied down, while wanting all the benefits that come with a marriage. I am always intrigued how they come to fall in love when their relationship begins as a convenience. Caspian and Paisley were a delight to read about. Immersing myself in this story was effortless and a real eye opener. Original and dramatic, their path to happiness was not all romance and roses. It was hard fought. As the best ones are. This was no exception. The emotional pull was alluring and arousing. A clever and masterful tale that will be hard to forget. 5 stars.

Like books or movies of this sort, you’re unsure if you can believe what these characters are asking of one another. Upon further reading, you realize that they’re in over their head or exactly what the other needs. I enjoyed the book but feel like there should have been more effort in Caspian making up with Paisley. This book was an enjoyable read nonetheless.

While I have read a couple of stories by this author previously the synopsis on this novel had me incredibly intrigued before even reading the first page. Full of a billionaire romance, a marriage of convenience, emotions, drama, and so much more this book really had me on the edge of my seat. Not only does this author give us an incredible plot, but she gives us fantastic characters with interesting back stories. Caspian is a handsome billionaire that needs to find a wife, whole Paisley is a beautiful girl who is down on her luck and running out of options. What happens when their paths cross? What happens when emotions become involved? You’ll have to read this novel to find out for yourself.

This delightful, feel-good book was just what I needed to put me into the holiday spirit. The quick banter of the characters, from the very beginning made me smile. The author invoked the spirit of a good Hallmark movie onto the pages of this deliciously magical story. But don’t be confused this story line has some truly, steamy moments. The book made me smile and I kept reading to find out if things were too good to be true.

This story has started off with a bang!
Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes, and this was another one of those amazing stories.
Caspian and Paisley were a sweet couple, and it took time for them to get that HEA, but they got there. Caspian is devoted to his work and in order to secure his CEO position must find a wife. In comes his childhood friend Paisley. What starts of light soon becomes pure fire, and they are quite the couple. Paisley becomes exactly what he needed and vice versa. This was a great book and great start to this series.

Caspian is given an ultimatum that threatens to take away everything he has worked for. Paisley is struggling and just can’t get ahead. The outcome is a story that I just couldn’t put down! At the start of this book, I thought this was going to be low plot, high smut, which has its time and place so I would not have been upset. I didn’t expect to feel so much for the main characters or their struggles. The story took a turn and tugged on some heart strings along the way. Definitely still a spicy book, but the love story makes it that much better! Will be keeping my eyes open for more from this author, no doubt.

I thought this book was a great read. Luke is in a band with a few other men who are like family to him. Luke is going thru some stuff and he can’t help all these feelings he has. He is a widow but, he’s not alone. He has his beautiful daughter he needs to care for and love.

Nikki is a nanny who is going thru some stuff Also. Everyone has a past but, not everyone can’t leave that stuff behind and start fresh.
I thought this book was perfectly written. There was a lot of info the author gave the reader so nothing was left to questions. I loved the characters and I love how this book came together. Definitely a 5 star read for me.

I really enjoy books of this genre. Caspian is one of those alpha males that you love to hate. Usually, the alpha redeems his behavior but that didn’t really happen with this book. That is something different and I’m not completely sure how I feel about it. Especially since I loved Paisley so much. I would definitely read more by this author and would love to see where other storylines fall in this series.

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow Duet Book 1) by Amy Argent – Review by: Jennifer Bartholomae

Come Back Tomorrow (Embrace Tomorrow, #1)Come Back Tomorrow by Amy Argent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m always one for a good romance and this one felt like it followed the typical romance plotline BUT I felt like it also carried more substance than a lot of romance novels do with the addition of the illness. This is one of the few books I’ve read recently that really pulled me in and had me attached to the characters from the jump.

Tori works as a hospital psychologist and has taken up the duty of helping certain patients walk through their end-of-life journey. Though it isn’t easy to do, she holds the mission dear to her heart. Her friend Jenny who works in oncology brings her in on a case and she meets Will, a young man, who is dying of cancer and from his viewpoint has nothing left to live for. So much so that he has signed a DNR and managed to push all of his friends and family out of his world, in order to spare them the pain of watching him die. He keeps Tori at arms length at first but as she continues to work with him he begins to soften and she is able to help him understand that pushing people away is hurting him more than anyone else. As they work together they form a friendship and eventually a relationship.

It is a very sweet romantic story given the state of the patient and, while it has its moments, keeps the over-the-top lustfulness to a minimum which was refreshing to me. The book is ended with a cliffhanger good enough that I immediately bought the second book. The book is well written and well researched and has a very good grasp on the cycle that dying patients and their loved ones go through in the end. I was drawn in by the characters and kept turning pages because of the great storyline. I would recommend this book.

This is the first book by Nicole Richard that I have read so I was unsure what to expect. A Sweet Christmas is a quick, easy read with an understandable story and characters. This book was like a Hallmark Christmas movie! It was spicy and sweet but a little too predictable for my taste, but if you enjoy Christmas romance books, A Sweet Christmas is definitely a good one! Nicole Richard does a great job of developing the characters and the story quickly. I did enjoy the overall style of writing and will look into some of Nicole Richard’s other books.

This is the first book in a new series, each of which can be read as a stand-alone. I had read a couple of this author’s books before and had really enjoyed them so was looking forward to getting into a new series by her. I can say that this book did not disappoint. I think that this is now my favourite of those that I have read so far.
Caspian Archer has been acting CEO of his uncle’s company for some time and is not impressed when he is informed that to get the job permanently then he has to get married and stay married for at least a year and a day. A chance meeting with his childhood friend Paisley Fischer who is struggling financially leads to him making a proposition to her – marry him.
I really loved reading Caspian and Paisley’s story. Both are amazing characters and I could have read about them for hours and hours. The story grabbed me from the very beginning and was fast flowing and really kept me hooked right up to the end. I enjoy reading a good fake romance story and this book is a great example of that trope and I would definitely recommend it to other readers.

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #1)Conveniently Yours by Anise Storm

This is an enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance, with a marriage of convenience theme. Caspian Archer lives a life full of luxuries but suddenly his life could change for the worse, if he doesn’t fulfil his uncle’s dying wish in order to secure his inheritance. Caspian must find true love and stay married for a year, and so he starts to look for a women who will agree to a marriage of convenience. Paisley Fischer has no money, has been evicted and will soon be paying for her mothers medical care, as her insurance benefits are running out.
When childhood friend Caspian gives her an unconditional offer, to cover her mother’s care, provide a Manhattan penthouse and give her one million dollars, Paisley can’t refuse. All she has to do is pretend to be happily married to Caspian for a year and not get emotionally involved. I loved Paisley and Caspian’s story and really felt for Paisley in her situation. Although their romance is a slow burn, the couple’s chemistry did come across in the story, and I liked how how their relationship developed over the year. I was kept happily turning the pages by the plot twists and found this to be an easy and enjoyable read.

This is a go to author for me so when I saw this was the first book in a new series I jumped on it and I was so glad that I did. Everything from the exquisite cover that sucked me in to the fast and quite complicated story behind it was absolutely wonderful. I loved the idea that this had multiple different aspects so it wasnt your typical billionaire romance or just your second chance romance it was layered and that made it even more enthralling. This is something this author excels at. Caspian and Paisley are the MCs that we get to fall in love with, and I must say I loved Paisley not so much Caspian lol. Paisley was relatable and she stayed true to herself and stood her ground. Caspian did as well but he never once apologized or changed. He was a jerk with a mission and he stuck to it. I look forward to seeing what we get in future novels!

I really enjoyed this story. It is fast paced and the author does an amazing job with the characters. Both characters are strong in their own way and how their stories and lives come together is special.

Caspian is an amazing businessman. But married to his job he doesn’t entertain a relationship well apart from the no string attached ones. However his life is about to change when his uncles give him an ultimatum as his dying wishing, find a wife or lose the business. Now Caspian is in a race against time to find someone to marry. It can be anyone after all it only needs to last 1 year and 1 day. And who needs to marry for love.

Paisley is really down on her luck. A struggling artist her life keeps going from back to worse. With her mother in a coma and her medical bills as well as Paisley’s own bills to survive, she is at breaking point. How on earth is she going to cope and find the money to pay everything. After visiting her mum a chance meeting with a old school friend could offer her the solution she needs. But marrying someone and getting paid for it seems crazy and too good to be true.

Now they are both on a journey into married life. Learning how to live together and realising that marriage is hard and to a stranger is even harder. With the thought that this is a temporary arrangement on both their minds how do they react when feelings go from being an act to the real thing?

This is a nice story. I admit I did struggle a bit with it. The characters seemed good so it was the way the story was delivered. Lots of thinking between questions and answers when they were talking. So a “how are you” would get answered on the next page or two. That to me is something I don’t care for. Quicker dialogue would have been better. I did end up skipping down paragraphs or pages at times and just read the dialogue…to stay in the moment. I also did not care for the all caps throughout..many times I thought yelling was going on but it wasnt. Then the real emphasis on words just fell through the cracks.

I did enjoy the characters. They both are different and unique. He is a playboy and an overtly sexual being destined to find a wife. She is shy, introverted and at the end of her proverbial rope. Together they actually blend well and I enjoyed their time together.

I love this story! Caspian is every girl’s White Knight. He has the job he has worked so hard to do. As acting CEO of the family company he has it all. Until his Uncle throws a wrench into his plans.. Paisley is a strong woman who continues to impress the readers. Even though she struggles daily with not knowing when she will get her next paycheck. How she will pay her mother’s hospital bills, or even when she can pay her rent. But she does not give up. As she comes across her elementary school friend, her life as she knows it, is about to change. This author has taken this contemporary romance to new heights. Her characters are as close to real as I have ever read. Making her audience feel the true heart romance. Her story is written in the view of both Caspian and Paisley, giving the reader both sides of the heart. Being book 1 in the series I can’t wait for the next installment. No Spoilers here!

Conveniently Yours is the first book in the Titans of Manhattan series by Anise Storm. This is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading you won’t want to put it down. I absolutely loved this book and the characters are relatable, well developed and the chemistry between them is off the charts. This is Caspian and Paisley’s story. She is already struggling to keep up with her moms medical insurance and after an accident lands her mom In the hospital she learns that soon her coverage will be exhausted and she will jave to pay for the therapy out of pocket. She’s an artist just barely sliding by. Caspian learns his uncle who raised him is very ill and has just dropped a bomb. He’s pretty much told Caspian you have to get married and stay married for a full year or he’s going to leave the company to his sons who will pretty much destroy everything and the company . That’s one hell of a dying wish. These two haven’t seen each other in a very long time. Can they each be what the other wants and needs them to be? Can they save one another? Whew there are some steamy parts ,a few lil bumps in rhe road. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
