LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Angela Shirley

Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Luke was a foundling, left on the church steps so from an early age he wanted more, so when he met the three other brothers his life changed. That’s when he met who he thought was the love of his life but with drugs and alcohol they could not be enough for each other and then when he became a father and then lost his wife , could he live again or just survive.

Nikki has lived her life trying to help her family as the oldest daughter to a single parent she has always had responsibilities, but when her job as a nanny for a mega music producer hits the rocks she feels she is letting her family down, but when I chance meeting and a advert in the local village message board has her head in a spin not only is he handsome and his daughter a cutie but he is her teenage dream. Can she be professional enough to just be a nanny or will she give love a chance and jump straight in.

I can’t believe this is the last book in the series as I feel I am so invested into this family group that I want to know what’s happens after, does Brie grow up to be a dancer, Does Flint do what his heart wants to do. Do they all live in UK and live happily please tell me.

I loved the characters of Nikki she was full of Sass and as we say spit and vinegar, I loved that she was not intimidated by the Rockstar in Luke, I loved that you got to see the other side to him the vulnerable child still in him and him evaluating his life before Nikki.

The story flowed brilliantly and the characters were well developed and written, I loved this whole series with the same timeline but to peak into each of their lives and see how the whole dramas play out was brilliantly. I would recommend this series as a great emotional read and that you are pulled so far into these characters lives you feel like you are living each moment with them.

Thank you for such a great series and can’t wait to read more books by this author.
