Luke (Default Distraction Book 4) by A. S. Roberts
Please, please, please let there be a next generation of this series. I love these guys and I’m so not ready to say goodbye to Default Distraction.
I loved all of the guys but I think Luke may be my favorite. Was it his back story? Maybe that has something to do with it but there was something about him that made me love him just a bit more than thenother guys.
Nikki is almost as amazing as Luke but for totally different reasons. She had a who cares what people think attitude and it was a perfect fit with Luke and the boys.
I don’t know if I could gave enjoyed this book or series more than I did and I will keep my eye out for the kids stories one day. 🤞🤞🤞

This was a truly enjoyable romance. The story of CC and Reese requires some compassion and understanding because both have been hurt in the past. It makes them a little skittish when it comes to the possibility of another relationship. Starting right off with the accident that makes CC basically a “snow covered salt lick,” these two are testing each other out and seeing if they want to give in. CC loves Christmas. Reese has his reasons for feeling the way he does. But eventually, the two come together stronger. There adventures leave you chuckling and tearing up a bit. Come along and check this quick and easy Christmas read out. You’ll enjoy it as much as I did. Highly recommend.

5 Stars LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts
• Luke is the fourth book in Default Distraction by A.S. Roberts and Holy Cow just when I didn’t think this series could get any better then Boom Luke’s story. I wish I could give this way more than five stars because this author definitely deserves it. I’m a huge fan of Rock Star Romances and this one definitely takes the cake. The characters are well developed and easy to fall in love with. I love them all and the way they all stand up for each other made my heart happy. This is Luke and Nikki’s story. She comes from a tight nit family and would do anything for them. She’s a Nanny who finds herself in need of a new job and finds herself in a interview with Luke who she’s had a major crush on since she was a teenager. She of course takes the job and finds that even though she is not a teenager she’s definitely attracted to him probably more than ever. Luke pretty much came from nothing and climbed his way up to the top. He really had issues with acceptance and letting go. He has it all ,a band with some pretty amazing men a beautiful daughter who is his everything and then in walks Nikki. Luke feels something with her he hasn’t in a long time but he feels a bit guilty in ways. Both of them are attracted to the other. Can these two have a relationship? Will she be enough to keep him and the job? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next.

I have really loved all of the Default Distraction books from the get go but, this sucker really took the cake! LUKE has to be the absolute favorite of mine of them all. I really enjoyed him for sure and his daughter Brielle as they fell in love with Nikki, who I also quickly fell in love with. I usually love Rockstar romances but AS Roberts really does a fantastic job of making her characters believable. Even the rockstars. That is not an easy task and I can always relate to them as well which I just love when I read romance novels. These books can all be read as standalones but I would recommend that you read them in order for the maximum enjoyment. Everything really builds and blends so well as you go in my opinion. I can’t wait to see what will come next from Ms. Roberts.

‘Come Back Tomorrow’ by Amy Argent follows clinical psychologist Tori Somerset as she befriends cancer patient Will Everson who seemingly has given up on life and surrendered himself to a fate of being alone. If wholesome and sweet romances are your bread and butter, then this book isn’t one to miss- Tori and Will’s relationship is beautifully written and incredibly compelling. It’s not hard to see why the pair are destined to be together as they treat each other with kindness, respect and courtesy. Despite the book primarily taking place in a single place, it manages to feel much larger in scale- Tori’s big heart and Will’s sarcastic wit going leaps and bounds further than the confines of the hospital. Their chemistry is palpable and their affection towards each other is undeniably evident, which makes Will’s dire circumstances all the more heart-breaking. Despite the genre of the book, Argent refuses to shy away the ugliness of cancer and the massive toll it can take on a person’s health, and the story is all the more stronger for it- other novels with similar premises tend to sugar-coat or romanticise the illnesses they portray but ‘Come Back Tomorrow’ doesn’t fall into this trap. Argent thoroughly and clearly describes the way the cancer has affected Will- not only on his body but also on his mind, emotions, perspective and relationships.
A romance novel is only as good as its romantic leads and ‘Come Back Tomorrow’ doesn’t disappoint. Will has a penchant for painting, cats and comics and, beyond his understandably aloof exterior, he is arguably kind to a fault- willing to sacrifice his own comfort and happiness so as to not trouble and sadden the people he cares about. Tori is similarly compassionate- not only is her very career predicated on the notion of helping people but she does so in her spare time, which is what leads her to Will in the first place. She spends her time befriending those who seemingly have a very limited support system to assist them during their illnesses- bringing light and love to those who need it the most. These two truly good souls are a match made in heaven, and it’s a delight to read about their journeys to each other.
In conclusion, if you’re in the mood for a sweet and compelling romance, then ‘Come Back Tomorrow’ is a book you’re not going to want to put down.

So, this is the first book I have read by this author, so I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting my hands on. However, I am a sucker for Christmas stories and a friend was reading it, so I thought why not. I’m glad that I did. Since I have finished this book we have had a couple of conversations over coffee about how much we loved it. It’s a wonderful, heartwarming family story. The holidays seem to be a time in the lives of family with strained relationships that can make it hard on everyone. And sometimes the holidays are just what’s needed to bring families back together. This book is filled with some of that sort of family drama and how love can help mend broken hearts. This is a very “clean” book in that there is no bad language or sexual filled scenes. There are some religious undertones in the story but nothing more than some scriptures. I liked this book and recommended it for anyone looking for a charming Christmas story.

In this book Luke needs a nanny for his daughter and Nikki needs a job. Nikki becomes Luke’s nanny. Nikki and Luke feel an instant attraction for one another. Luke struggles with his abandonment issues. Overall a good romance story. I liked Nikki as a character. This is the first book I read in this series. I might go back and read the others.

Cross-Country Christmas (A Silver Buckle Brides Romance) by Laurie Lewis. I loved this story. Its a great romance to get you in the mood for the holidays! Its the story of CC Cippolini who has taken a job driving a fancy car across country. She is more than ready to leave her hometown of Chicago and her past behind. When she crashes into a handsome rancher’s fence and ends up having to stay with him things change quickly. Reece Brockbank found CC in the middle of his fence in a fancy car he takes care of her like no one ever has. When CC turns Reece’s home into a Christmas Wonderland he has new feeling he’s never had before. He sees in her something that is missing from his life and now its right in front of her eyes. I enjoyed this Christmas romance story. This is a newer author for me and I can’t wait to see what is next for them. This is a well written story that is full of holiday spirit and romance. The characters have great growth throughout the story as well as kept it engaging. They are connectable and have great chemistry together. They pulled me into the story from the beginning. This is a story about Olivia and how she takes a cruise to avoid spending Christmas with her sister. What she doesn’t expect is to meet Navy Seal Jace. What will fate and Mrs. Claus have instore for these two? I enjoyed the Christmas spirit and magic that brings the holiday warmth. This is a great holiday story that I highly recommend.

Love discovering a new author especially when they have a series already established! This was the first of Marianne Rice’s books I have read, but I can’t wait to read the rest of the A Wilton Hill’s Christmas series! Liberty and Sawyer are both very likeable characters who kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next! And those family scenes – who wouldn’t want to be part of a family like that?!! Luke is the fourth book in the Default Distraction series by A.S. Roberts. This series just keeps getting better and better. This last book has left me with a book hangover. I just can’t seem to let the story go. Luke’s story is is both heartbreaking and heartwarming and had my emotions all over the place. Ms. Roberts is detailed in her character description and she really put in all of the feels. This is my favorite book of the year. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Roberts.

I absolutely loved this story!! It had a nostalgic feeling to me for some reason and reminded me of stories I read as a teenager. I loved the way Luke and Nikita meet. I loved the way the relationship with Nikki and his daughter progressed. I loved seeing into Luke’s head, and felt his thoughts and lows were realistic. One of my favorite books lately! Ready to read the next one!

Luke by A.S. Roberts is book four of the Default Distraction series.
Luke hasn’t had an easy go of it. He often lets that define him. He was abandoned so he doesn’t let anyone close. He made it to the top but that doesn’t mean he’ll stay there. It’s not just him anymore though. He has to provide for his daughter. That’s where Nikki comes in. Nikki will do anything she can to help out her family, even at the expense of herself. She’s in desperate need of a job and that’s when she finds that Luke is looking for a nanny. Of course sparks fly and there is attraction between them but she can’t risk this job. She needs to provide for her family. Will the past be too much to handle or will their attraction turn into more?
I really enjoyed this story as much as the other books in the series. Nikki is a relatable character, always willing to help those she loves. I couldn’t get enough of this book!

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts was another great installment to this series. Luke is one of the sweetest men that I have read about in a long time he’s constantly blaming himself for his past mistakes. However if there is one thing we can all agree in it’s that Luke is an amazing father that always puts his little girl first. Bring in Nikki as his daughters nanny and it’s love at first sight. Much like the other DD books this one is full of drama, romance, friendship, and so many twists and turns that you’ll be furiously flipping the pages. But will Luke ever see the bigger picture? CADE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #3) by A. S. Roberts is one of the best books I have read this year. Having read the previous two books in this series I immediately wanted to pick this up when it got my Kindle. I was definitely not disappointed this book was filled with drama, romance, friendship, love, and so much more. A.S. Roberts gives us great characters, a plot that pulls you in, and an ending that will leave you filled with love and hope. Winter is a fiesty girl whose had her heart broken, but what will she do when the man who broke her heart walks back into her life? Will she let Cade back in or will she push him further away. You’ll have to read CADE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #3) by A. S. Roberts to find out for yourself.

This story is heartrendingly beautiful. This is one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time, if not the best ever. Amy Argent did an amazing job of pulling me into Will and Toris world as they get to know each other and Will struggles with such a horrible illness. There is so much raw emotion in this book that I teared up more times than I can count, but it was well worth it in the end. Even though I thought I knew what to expect when I began the story, I was left surprised and eager to read part 2 and see how things turn out. What can be more beautiful than giving a person that brightens your day a reason to hang on and fight a little harder and a little longer even if ultimately you don’t believe they’ll survive? This book definitely has me looking at life with a whole new appreciation.

A jamming series Absolutely in love with every rocking book in this series. With drama, self-discovery and hot rockstars – how could I not? The series is uniquely written in that events are presented in each book from a different perspective as each band member discovers what their hearts desire. They all were like family and with each book I felt closer. This book topped it all off with Luke and Nikki’s story. The paths that they have walked to get to where they are filled with heartache and tragedy. Little Brie just stole my heart. I can not recommend the whole series enough.

Luke Default Distraction book 4 is the next amazing book in this fantastic series. I was hooked yet again from the very first word to the very last. I was pulling for this gorgeous couple every step of the way.
Luke is the Bass Player for Default Distraction and has made huge changes in himself, along with the rest of the band, with his main focus being creating a loving supportive family for his gorgeous daughter Brielle. They have all put down roots and he now needs a new nanny for Brie. Along comes Nikki, a fantastic nanny who Brie instantly loves BUT his attraction to her is instant and intense. He doesn’t want to risk messing things up with Nikki for his daughters sake but as each day passes he realises he might just need her as much as Brie does. For Nikki being around Luke is an absolute dream come true, she has been a huge fan for years but she needs this job not just for herself but for her family. How long can she fight what is building between them though?

Cade Default Distraction book 3 is where I started this series. Who does that right? Even though I started with this book my enjoyment was not hindered by starting mid series, in fact I was kept captivated by all the characters from start to finish and I am determined to read all the DD books now.
Cade is the drummer for Default Distraction and he has now decided that after all these years of torturing himself with what he thought he couldn’t have, that he is not waiting any more and he will be making Winter his! Winter on the other hand is not so sure. She loved him years ago, to be fair deep down she still does but he walked away and broke her heart. She doesn’t know if she can bare to take that risk again. Cade must show her that he truly has changed and what they could have together is worth fighting for. Their love is so intense and will draw you in. Each step of the way you will be hoping they get their HEA

Snowflakes And Stockings is book four in A Wilton Hills Christmas series by Marianne Rice. This is my first time reading anything from this author and the series, this book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone story.
I’m a huge fan of a festive-themed book and couldn’t wait to get started this year. Stockings And Snowflakes was a great book to kick things off with. Liberty is up for a promotion, and it’s pretty much a guarantee if she can solve the most recent mystery…who is the famous secret Santa? I loved the warmth of the story and the Christmassy feel that this book had, it was such an easy and cosy read. The characters are likable and relatable, and I really enjoyed the building up of the relationship between Liberty and Sawyer. Their chemistry made this story even better. This book was a lovely accompaniment to a gloomy (sadly, not snowy) Sunday afternoon.
Luke is the 4th and final (sob sob) book in the awesome Default Distraction series by A. S. Roberts. I absolutely loved Brody, Rafferty and Cade’s stories and have been waiting impatiently for Luke’s story to complete this awesome series. It’s definitely been worth the wait as I think Luke and Nikki’s story is my favourite of the four. The four stories all take place at the same time and it would make sense to read them in order, although each one can be read as a stand-alone. Default Distraction are a chart topping, mega successful band. Bass player Luke has had a difficult past, including losing his wife to a drug overdose. Now he’s looking for a new nanny for his 4 year old daughter Brielle. I have to say that for me, Brielle is the star of this book. She’s the sweetest, most amazing little girl ever and she totally stole my heart. Luke and Nikki’s story is a roller coaster of emotions and takes you on an amazing journey that you get swept along with. The story flows well and you are most definitely kept entertained from start to finish. I also loved getting to see the other Default Distraction guys and their trials and tribulations at finding love with their significant others. This is a great conclusion to a series that has brought me so much joy. I’m not sure I’m ready to let go of the Default Distraction guys yet.

Amy Argent…. shame on you for making me cry so much. JK!! This book is a masterful combination between romance and heartbreak. The characters are superbly written and the story is realistic and so so good. I’m truly blown away by Amy’s talent with drawing you into this emotionally charged story. This is the 4th book in the Default Distraction series. As with the books before I have really enjoyed this story. The author does an amazing job with her characters. The characters are all relatable and their stories are moving and heartbreaking as well as heartwarming.
Luke is a member of Default Distraction. He has a hard start in life after his mother left him on the church steps when he was born. He grew up in the church orphanage and his determination brought him to where he is today as part of a successful band. However things haven’t always been good for him. After losing his wife to a drug overdose he now finds himself alone with his young daughter. As the guys in Default Distraction start making plans for their future Luke needs some to care for his daughter. And that’s where Nikki comes in.
Nikki also hasn’t had a great upbringing. With her dad leaving her family she has taken on the role of supporting her family. Now she finds herself out of a job and no idea what to do.
When she gets the job as Nanny to Lukes little girl she feels like all her dreams have come true. She has always been attracted to Luke but does her picture in her head match what Luke is really like? Meanwhile Luke is struggling with his feelings towards Nikki. Since he has sworn off love he struggles to accept what he is feeling now.
Can they both work through their bad pasts and upbringing to realise that love can exist for them both? Or will the secrets and deceptions from their pasts come back to haunt them and destroy them?

My heart needed this beautiful story! CC is on a journey of self healing when she crashes her car into a cattle fence in a remote town. Reese owns the fence and rescues CC, offering her shelter in his home. While awaiting the repair of her car, CC and Reese find themselves each facing a difficult past, thus putting distance between them.
I loved CC’s playful, Christmas loving character. The way that she tried to lighten the environment and make it magical is so relatable. I am a lover of Christmas Spirit and would want to create Christmas joy just like she did. Reese seemed to be the strong and silent type, but his story is so complex, it was wonderful to see his layers revealed. I love that Laurie Lewis was able to sprinkle a little faith in there, and bring the love of God to her characters! This story made me feel like I was watching a movie, like I was actually there with Reese and CC. I would love to see their story continue, I NEED to know what happens next!

This book is like reading from my day-to-day job. It hit hard for me. Now I am not a clinical medical worker I work in medical records. At my job, I read through patients’ hospital history and when I see that they don’t have any family I tend to leave the office twice a day to talk. This book is very special to me. I will buy the hardcover. It’s emotional which towards the end of anyone’s life is. LOVE it when the hardcover comes in I will read it again.

I love this book so much! Victoria Zak’s book Rock Me to the Top had me so invested in the main two characters I never wanted it to end. Joe, the drummer of Gracefall, has just learned with the rest of his bandmates and his manager that they will be headlining their first ever summer tour. Amongst all the shock, aww, and excitement there’s only one person he really wants to share the news with. He makes that call to his best friend Melody, to not get her on the phone but Dani instead informing him that Melody is drunker than she’s ever been. Joe has loved Melody since he met her but they promised one another that their friendship was the most important thing in their lives, so he’s kept that info to himself. Sad but I get it, I’ve been in a situation myself while you sit by and watch as the one you love you can’t have, it’s not easy. So that hits close to home. Melody just found out she lost a shot at getting a chair as a cellist in the LA Orchestra, her dream. Feeling like a failure she turns to “Mind Erasers” to forget the pain. I’ve been that person too and I didn’t hit my rock bottom when I did, I probably wouldn’t be writing this review today. This book hits very close to home, but I love these characters! The way Victoria Zak wrote them independently and together is what made this story. Joe and Melody face the obstacles of their past as well as fears of what’s to come,on their path to each other. Read it please, because you know if you got this far into this review YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOO!

This is such a sweet holiday story. Liberty is a reporter who loves being the one chasing the story and getting the scoop on something rather than being in front of the camera. Sawyer is a workaholic who has helped his father make their business a Fortune 500 company. Liberty is nosing around to find out who is donating so much money as a secret Santa. She has three suspects. The first two don’t pan out to her thinking, could it be the third? Her interviews with Sawyer are squeezed in and look and feel more like dates. Her boss is expecting the story by the end of the week. Will she keep pushing through for her job? Or is her heart going to rule? I really enjoyed the flow of Marianne Rice’s writing. I am going to have to put the first three books on my TBR list.
Joe Grace and Melody Sterling each have their own goals. Melody wants to be part of an orchestra with her Cello, and Joe wants to be an all time famous band with his mates. While Melody needs to take a break from her cello, Joe ends up on tour with his band for the summer and convinces Melody to come as their tour manager. They have been lifetime friends, but secretly, each one wants more. You will need to read what happens next! All the drama, romance, friendships, and family history is all amazing together in this series. I can’t wait to read the next one! 🙂

Cross-Country Christmas by Laurie Lewis is a sweet and heart-warming romance that was fun to read. What a better time and place to set a Christmas story with cowboys and a ranch. I enjoyed the teasing banter and witty humour between our characters which was fun to read. This story has a little bit of everything with hope and forgiveness, tragedy and pain, family and friendship, hurt and love. The story is about two souls healing and second changes but to get there there needs to be forgiveness. As much as I liked this story there are a few unanswered questions. CC is trying hard to leave her past behind her and make a new start for herself. Reese has been burnt and has trust issues. So when they literally crash into each other’s lives they need to heal and maybe, just maybe than can do it together. Reviewed by @jennadb
