Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Luke by AS Roberts is the fourth book in the Default Distraction series. This is another fantastic addition to this series and probably my favourite one so far. I loved Luke and Nikki! I loved their connection and the pasts that drove them to each other. The ways they were finding to handle it all and the journey that entailed was amazing to read about.
I always enjoy the single parent stories and I loved the way the author handled this one. It felt like such an effortless story that just pulled you in simply by its good writing. This is a brilliant book and a fantastic series. I would highly recommend reading both!

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour) by Victoria Zak – Review by Tia Martel

Rock Me To The Top (Gracefall: Vicious Love Tour Book One)Rock Me To The Top by Victoria Zak
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars.

Joe Grace is the drummer in the rock band Gracefall that he found with his brother and two of their friends.

Melody is the daughter of a rock star and vowed to never fall into the lifestyle that destroyed her parents marriage. She is also Joe’s best friend.

When Joe invites Melody to run his tour she accepts because everything else seems like it’s following apart. Just when it seems like things might be looking up, Melody realizes she is falling for her best friend. As they find who they are together, Melody has to decide if she wants love or to follow her dreams.

Victoria Zak’s Rock Me to the Top was a fast, fun read!

While Rock stars aren’t always a trope I lean towards, I am a sucker for friends to lovers so I had to give this a chance! I wasn’t disappointed. The book was very well written, however, I feel that in some places it moved much too quickly. I wish there was more background story for the characters relationships, but watching the progression of these relationships moving throughout the story was definitely well done.

Victoria Zak did a great job with the romance and friendships throughout the story. I’m looking forward to reading book two in the series to see if we get more development and see where we go from here!

Born to Fall (Can’t Resist You – Book 2) by Brittany Anne – Review by Liz Vrchota

Born to Fall (Can't Resist You, #2)Born to Fall by Brittany Anne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Normally dystopian novels are a hard sell for me. I must admit, after The Handmaid’s Tale, not much else can really top it for me, well that and the last four years of our lives had made it pretty difficult as well. Brittany Anne has done a really good job of making me fall in love with the genre all over again. I really love how she has made it once again believable and passionate with her writing and the characters. I feel for these people and believe they really could exist in the world they are in. I need that escape and really love that Ms. Anne has provided a wonderful one again with book two of the Can’t Resist You series, Born to Fall. I would start with book one because that sets us up with The Resistance and how we got to where we are with the characters and what kind of world we are finding ourselves in as we read and fall in love with a whole new couple as they traverse the adventures and hardships to find that happily ever after you so want them to have. I look forward to seeing what the next installment will bring us.

Born to Fall (Can’t Resist You – Book 2) by Brittany Anne – Review by Allyson Ware

I absolutely love that we got to know and understand not only Derek and Julia more, but Hayden too. The possibility of this story being or becoming a reality is a serious fear I have. If not just like this, something similar. I honestly would not be surprised. This is one dystopian world that I would not wish to be a part of; it is terrifying to imagine.

If you loved the first book in the series, you will love this one too. I am beyond excited for the next novel. It is going to be so different from the past two, but similar, which I know does not necessarily make much sense. It will make sense, however, when you get the the end of this book. *HINT* : make sure you read the epilogue!

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book in this series which I enjoyed just as much as the previous books. This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. I enjoy being pulled into the story by this author’s use of attention to details and her writing skills. This book is no different. It is a well written story that has characters that are connectable and made the story entertaining to read. It is an engaging story that is fast paced and brought to life. This is Luke and Nikki’s story. Both of them come from backgrounds where their family life is not the best. She is in search of herself when she takes on a nanny job. The problem is she has dreamed about Luke but could she risk a job she needs to be with him? I enjoyed their chemistry and growth throughout the story. They made the story fun to read and just great, strong characters that heat up the pages. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Ahhh Luke – I haven’t fallen in love with a character like this one for such a long time – he is definitely book boyfriend material! I loved the other books in the series but there was just something about Luke that had me swooning over him from the very beginning! I love his devotion to his daughter; she clearly means everything to him and that comes through so much in this story. Brielle, she was just the cutest and I loved reading about her!! I really liked Nikki, and I just knew as soon as she became involved with Luke that she was going to fall for him – who wouldn’t!! I absolutely loved them together, a genuine chemistry and such a wonderful couple. There were definitely some emotional moments in the story as well as angst and more!
I think it’s safe to say Ms Roberts saved the best band member until last and I am gutted there are no more! I have loved this series and would highly recommend it to others!

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Lorrene Huisman

Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! Just wow. This book really took my soul and would not let go! Luke brought a lot to the table as a character, and he was someone that was so easily to fall in love with, and connect with as well. His background made the story, in more than one way, this book was different than most, in a very positive way!

Luke was a noble man I dare to say, he put his daughter above all else. He really was a good father in truth. If it was good for his daughter and her well being, then it certainly was good for him. Luke had gone through a lot, with the history of loss, that still impacts him to this day, and defiantly weighs on his daughter’s heart. Losing someone so dear to both of them. Luke has his heart torn up in past events and no way possible he is up for love or even trusting someone again. Throw in the marvelous Nikki who comes to be Luke’s nanny for his darling daughter. Nikki had a past of her own, a past of hurt and drama that still reflected upon her to this day What she did not expect, as well as Luke, is the connection these two souls feel, perhaps even to heal both their heart’s in ways they never thought possible…?

For me, I loved the emotional whirl wind this novel gave to me. Luke’s story was of love, passion, pain, and trying to heal. And putting his best foot forward, for his daughter was his world and he would make sure she got everything she deserved, and lived a good life. For me that was super admirable and wonderful to read, despite everything Luke had endured, his love for his daughter kept him going. I loved Nikki as well, who had sufferings in a different concept. What I enjoyed probably the most thought, was the times Luke and Nikki shared together with Brie, they bonded as souls, as well as a family and realized they had a good thing going for them all, but would they allow their hearts to be open to this idea?

Beautifully written and amazing read. Pulled at all my heart strings as I read it, when I finished it and the story of Luke was completed, I was left wanting more, as the characters were a impactful and delight to read about. I was content with the story’s end though, no doubt on that one! I just had such a good time reading this, it was a must read for sure. Highly recommend this book, and have your tissues near by!

LUKE (DEFAULT DISTRACTION #4) by A. S. Roberts – Review by Bethany Rollins

Luke (Default Distraction #4)Luke by A.S. Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I just completed Luke(Default Distraction Book 4) by A.S. Roberts and while I did enjoy the storyline and premise, I had some difficulty staying engaged with the main characters. I read this because of the nanny factor and I was slightly miffed that there was lack of Nikki’s actual job happening. She is hired by Luke to help care for his daughter, Brielle, but Brielle always seems to be going off with the other adults and Nikki is left with Luke to have their love affair. We do get glimpses of her actually caring for Brielle, but it was far and few in between. I guess I was just put off by this.
Nikki and Luke do seem made for each other, Luke being a rockstar who Nikki has been in love with since her teenage years. They have their meet-cute and the story follows their love story. I did enjoy the supporting characters, especially Nikki’s family. I did wish to get more information about her family but I was able to grasp that they were a tight knit group. I enjoyed the other band members in the story as well.
I did not read the other three books prior to this installment and not sure if I will go back to them or not. The main pull on this book to draw me in just didn’t live up to my expectations but I would recommend to others to read it, but maybe start with the first in the series and it will be more of an enticing read.

Luke by A.S. Roberts a stunning five-star read. This is number four in the Default Distraction series and just like the other three stories, this one deserves chef kisses. I love everything this author writes and Luke just had that something extra. Getting to know Luke and his history the depth and emotion of his story just blew me away. Then when you add Nikki and her family history, it becomes an explosive five-star read. One that will enamour you to the story and make you fall in love with both of them. This was a great story and one that everyone needs to read, do not miss this amazing series.

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After Book 2) by Stephanie Harrell – Review by Angela Hayes

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After, #2)Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer by Stephanie Harrell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer is the first book in the Curvy Ever After series by Stephanie Harrell. This story is a contemporary romance with a fairytale feel. As this author is new to me, I really didn’t know what to expect from her work, but I thought it could be a fun story and clicked a copy to jump into for a couple of hours.
I found I was right; this was a fun story to read- with fully developed characters who were both interesting and endearing, I was cheering them on from the beginning.
Movie star holiday fling leads to surprise pregnancy. What happens when he finds out? Will it draw him closer, or drive him away? Is there any chance of a future together, or will fame and meddling put the brakes on any chance they might have had for a HEA? If you want to find out how this story ends, then you really should pick up a copy and read all the intriguing developments for yourself.
Sweet. Sexy. Entertaining.

Thank you, Stephanie Harrell!

This was a great 5 star read. I really enjoyed this couple’s story.
Harper helps find antiques for her family antique shop, she really would love to travel in search of treasures. She ends up having a weekend fling that will change her plans.

Lincoln is an up and coming actor who’s new role will really put him in the spotlight. While at his beach house for a break, he is surprised to see Harper, the woman he had a weekend fling with. What’s most surprising is that she is pregnant.

Can they have a HEA? Or will fate have other plans for them?

Overall I really enjoyed this story. Who doesn’t dream about meeting a hot actor and getting a HEA? The chemistry these two had was great. You get steamy scenes, LOL moments and so much more. The author’s writing is great and pulls you right into the story. All of the characters added a great element to the story. This book is part of a series but you can read it as a stand alone. 1-click and get reading today.

Liberty is a fantastic journalist who has been trying to uncover the secret Santa in her little home town in Main that donates to food pantries, poor families, and other charities around the city. But will she reveal the secret Santa when she finds him? Sawyer is a smart, attractive, and succeful man, who doesn’t have time for a love life. But what happens when Liberty comes into his life? Will Sawyer make room for Liberty in his life? Will he love spending time with her big chatoic family? You’ll have to read Snowflakes & Stockings to find out for yourself.

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer is the second book in the Curvy Ever After Series by Stephanie Harrell. This is a fast paced story that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I was so invested in this story everything around me pretty much faded away. I found myself lost in the pages of the wonderfully written story. The characters are relatable and fully developed. I absolutely loved the characters Harper and Lincoln. These two are off the charts. She’s chasing her dreams even after a night with Lincoln and the surprise she got she’s determined to make her dream come true. Lincoln has finished a movie and came home and sees her and. He wasn’t expecting what happened next. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Snowflakes and Stockings is the first book I’ve read from Marianne Rice and I am thrilled that I experienced her writing. This was truly a book that felt like it wrapped me in a warm blanket, with a cup of coffee on a cold, winter day. I felt at peace reading this and devoured the book in just a couple hours. I loved the characters and the safety of family that it gave me. Not only were the two main characters, Sawyer and Liberty, the supporting characters were all loving as well.
Liberty is an investigative journalist, who’s main goal to win a much deserved promotion, is to hunt down the Secret Santa who has been delivering presents to well deserving children and families for the past several holiday seasons. Her leads take her to meet Sawyer, a Fortune 500 tech company co-owner. Through this meeting of two incredibly job driven people, they find time for each other and come to a new appreciation of finding those who make you want to become a better person.
I simply loved this story. Highly recommend to all who like a good, clean romance with a strong family dynamic.

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After Book 2) by Stephanie Harrell – Review by Dr. Anya Schultz

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer (Curvy Ever After, #2)Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer by Stephanie Harrell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Surprise Baby for Mr. Fischer is a great contemporary romance about a famous actor, Lincoln, who falls in love with Harper, a local girl from Rhode Island, who he had an amazing weekend with. Four months after their amazing weekend, Lincoln returns to Rhode Island to a house he bought, hoping to rekindle what had happened between them. To his surprise, Harper is pregnant with his baby. Both characters are fighting their own demons, Lincoln – his childhood, and Harper – a fear of being in the public’s eye and self-confidence being a curvy girl. They are each also trying to live the dreams they have for themselves (Lincoln – famous actor; Harper – traveling picker vlog). These demons and hopes for dreams try to “distract” them from a future that they know they both want and deserve – love and raising the baby as a family! However, most of the time, Harper can’t get out of her own way, so how do they make this work?
I just fell in love with Lincoln from the beginning of the book. I think the story between the two characters is love in the making. I knew I loved this book because it gave me a lot of feelings. One, I think it portrayed famous people and men in a better light than we are used to. Also making it a point to have a main character that can’t be seen as society’s version of perfect, for Harper, was great to read about since I am a curvy girl myself. However, Harper also made me very mad at times. As a female, I know we are exhausting, but seeing it on paper just infuriated me. Why do females sometimes just have to ruin something so perfect out of fear, bias, or stereotypes. Many of us women go through it and make mistakes when it comes to love until someone on the other end of the love decides they won’t let that happen – thank goodness for Lincoln.

Rock Me To The Top was a great read! It was entertaining, romantic, spicy, and slightly suspenseful. I very much enjoyed reading about a band on tour. It definitely makes for an interesting story.
