Madeline is back again in this third installment in the series. This book is interesting as it has two plot lines happening…and I found myself intrigued to find out what would happen with both of them. Mike and Madeline are still running their party planning business and their PI firm. Mike, the crazy ex, makes himself known again in this story. However, this time we are left with an unknown conclusion to the story…so I am thinking there is going to (hopefully) be another book that will let us know what happened!

I enjoyed this book. It was fun to read and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. You don’t necessarily have to have already read the other stories in the series to understand what is happening (but it adds to their back story). Another good book in this series!

Girl Trap (The Madeline Dawkins Series Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton is a riveting read. As with the other two books in the series, Maddie is a powerful female lead. However, in this book, Mike, her partner, also gets to come into his own. When Madeline is tasked with tracking down a missing person, who hasn’t been seen in 10 years. Mike is off on a mission of his own, to track down his cousins missing girlfriend and her sister. I really liked how this book had two completely different mysteries to solve and this gave the characters a chance to shine individually. I also love the twists in the tale, I didn’t expect that ending! Really enjoyable read and as always I eagerly anticipate the next edition of the series.

I have never had the pleasure until now to read anything penned by JD Spero, and I am so glad that I have. Boy on Hold is a very raw and realistic look into the lives of a boy, Hen Trout and his family’s battle with addiction, mental illness, and shocking murder. This family sees it all and the author does a very good job at keeping things authentic and realistic. Everything comes off as raw and real as you read that you can’t help but feel the same emotions that the characters are struggling with. I loved how this kept you on the edge of your seat and had a slow build throughout the story. It was impossible for me to put this book down until I reached that last page. I not only had to know how things would come to be for the family but even more wanted to keep reading because it was just that good. I felt transported right there and I can’t wait to see what else JD Spero has to get lost in soon! This is one you don’t want to miss!

Girl Trap is the 3rd book in the Madeline Dawkins Series by Cynthia Hamilton. This is a fast paced, thrilling detective series with gripping storylines and great characters. Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone but I think you’d get a better understanding of Madeline and Mike’s characters and their background.
In Girl Trap, Madeline and Mike are both working on different missing women cases so we get the added bonus of 2 great stories at the same time.
Madeline is looking a Hannah, who has been missing for 10 years. Her mother is dying and wants to reconcile with her estranged daughter before she dies. Well, that’s the story she tells Madeline. What unfolds is a completely different story that has a very unexpected ending that you will not see coming.
At the same time Mike is looking for his cousin Jesse’s missing girlfriend and her sister. I have to say that this particular story had me more gripped than the story Maddie was working on. This storyline leads you into the dark and murky world of woman trafficking.
This book took me a little longer than the first 2 in the series to get gripped by, but once I did, it gripped me hard and I could not put this book down. Cynthia Hamilton sure knows how to write a well thought out thriller that will really have you invested in the story and the characters. The more I read of Madeline and Mike, the ore I come to love and admire that people that they have become. Both have overcome some serious adversity in the years preceding these stories. I can’t wait to see what Cynthia Hamilton has in store next for Maddie and Mike.

We are invited into the lives of Marcella, Hen and Tyler. A nice family dealing with normal family issues. But in this story they take a little different avenue. This becomes a mystery or a who did it. We meet other players and learn more and more about Tyler and Hen. Hen only wants to catch a hedgehog and keep the love and trust of his big brother. Tyler is just trying to get through each day. The author did a good job portraying these boys and this family. I came to came about them an hope against hope that they are all in the clear. I did wondered where the title came from when I picked this up. After reading it makes more sense.

The story moves along and easily kept my interest. I loved the characters and they story weaves together nicely.

I am at an absolute loss for words after reading this book, the third in the AMAZING Madeline Dawkins Series. This is definitely the most intense, attention keeping book in the series so far. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end, and just could not put it down for the life of me! I definitely recommend this book, and the series as a whole. I very much look forward to the release of the next book and reading more from the very talented Cynthia Hamilton.

Girl Trap is the third novel in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton, it follows, ‘Spouse Trap’ and ‘A High Price to Pay’. Event coordinator and private investigator Madeline Dawkins adventures continue in this story. Both Madeline and partner Mike are busy with two cases which at first glance look like simple missing person cases, however it doesn’t take long to discover that the disappearance of two sisters from Minnesota and an estranged heiress who has never touched her eight-figure fortune are not simple cases at all. Mike heads off to search for his cousin’s missing girlfriend and her sister whilst Madeline’s investigation leads her to a Catholic boarding school. Both investigations lead them into danger and soon several lives are hanging in the balance. Mike and Madeline are then faced with both daunting odds and ruthless criminals.
Having been gripped by the first two books in this series I was looking forward to this third instalment and I was definitely not disappointed. I was hooked from page one with this fast paced mystery, adventure, thriller. I love Madeline as the main character and heroine of this series and I’m always cheering her on to a good outcome. I found this a great read and was fully immersed in Madeline Dawkins world once again.

Girl Trap is the third book in the Madeline Dawkins series. I would say that this book could be read as a stand alone novel, as the author, Cynthia Hamilton, gives a good amount of background information to catch new readers up. However, I always enjoy a book more when I’m already familiar with character and their backstories, so I personally would say it might be even more enjoyable if you start from the beginning of the series.
The start of the book is a refresher, reminding us of the key points that you need to know. It soon dives into the story though, and with Madeline and her partner Mike working on two separate cases there is plenty of action to keep you hooked.
I really like how the plots and characters have developed throughout the series, Madeline and Mike find themselves in uncharted waters this time and having to think on their toes. As always a few surprises are dropped in too, which makes you want to keep reading for more.
A nice, easy read to get lost in for an afternoon.

A Book Signing to Die For is a cosy mystery book by Judy Moore. If you’re not sure what a cosy mystery is, you’re in luck because protagonist Becca tells us in chapter five as “kind of a Hallmark version of a mystery – no swearing, no extreme violence, and definitely G-rated”. A Book Signing to Die For definitely fits the bill, centring around a bookshop/café in a quaint seaside location with a book loving protagonist and a handsome detective. If you’re after something comfortably engaging, this is the book for you!
I particularly liked the cast of characters (human and animal!). At the outset, some seem a little two-dimensional and stereotypical (the sister who hates books and is obsessed with boys, for example) but over the course of the story they are fleshed out and developed. Miss Alice is one of my favourites, with her stern and driven attitude towards business and the soft side that we glimpse every now and then.
The setting, and the book signing event that gets the story going, will appeal to fans of mystery books, so it’s definitely a likeable book! And a holiday to Florida, even if only on the pages of a book, is a welcome escape for anyone stuck somewhere cold, rainy and far from the sea.
For me, this is a four-star book. A great comfort read, and an intriguing mystery!

This is the 3rd book in the Madeline Dawkins series and they just keep getting better.

This book finds our two favourite PI’s splitting up and taking on 2 separate cases.

Mike takes on the case of his cousins missing gf and her sister. What starts out as a case of the gf taking his money and leaving soon becomes something more sinister as Mike and Jesse work and put the pieces together. They start to uncover things they never thought possible and when they come across a sex trafficking ring and a possible ransom they start to believe that the girls were involved in something much more sinister.

Meanwhile Madeline is on the hunt for Elise’s daughter who has been missing for years. Even though there is obviously no love lost between the mother and her daughter, Elise hires then to find her daughter Hannah. Elise tells them that she is dying and that is why she needs Hannah found. With this case and trail being really really cold will Madeline stand a chance of finding anything. When she starts putting pieces of a story together things don’t add up. A fatal crash that killed Hannah’s father is suspicious. Was it an accident like Elise claimed or was it more sinister.

This book will keep you on the edge all the way through. You can’t put it down because you need to find out the truth and the answers to these cases. Amazing read.

Girl Trap is the third book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This series keeps getting more interesting with every book. The character growth throughout the series is wonderful. Madeline and Mike are unique and the private investigator business makes the series interesting. I love the ups and downs I felt reading this story. I also like it when the author keeps you guessing until the end. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

A Book Signing To Die For by Judy Moore is an entertaining beach read filled with murder, mugging, family drama and secrets. It is my first read by this writer and she will be one of my go to writers when I feel like something cozy but with a slight edge!
The story takes place in a small Florida town of Manatee Beach and we have O’Rourke women who will need to take on a murder that happens in their Beach Reads bookstore and coffee shop during a book signing. Beck is the older sister who co-owns the place with her grandmother Miss Alice, younger sister Lizzie is the third female of the family that rounds up the trio, oh and let’s not forget the family’s Great Dane, Coquina!
When the book signing guest who knew the writer from years earlier turns up murdered, Beck decides to find out who killed her. You think you are just going along on the ride and can figure it out yourself but I tell you, it is not as simple as it seems on the surface! Throw in the hot detective, someone who Beck went to school with and who is partially responsible for her giving up her dreams of becoming a detective and you have a story that you do not mind staying up late in the evening!
I am not sure if this is an opening to a new series but I hope that Beck will have more opportunities to flex her detective muscle AND who knows what will become of her relationship with the hot detective!

I loved reading the book Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) by Seelie Kay. It is a story that has suspense, romance, action, and danger. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a fast-paced book that had me hooked. The Agency is looking for eight socialites that have gone missing. No one seems to care until the daughter of a former vice president becomes one of the missing. Where are they? Will they be found? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the different characters and how they all fit into the storyline. There are those who I would call “the good guys” who are looking for the missing and then there are those who have an agenda and plans. Will they succeed or will the Agency along with MISix agent Tilly Henderson be able to interrupt those plans? This book is very detailed and is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. If you love books that have you turning pages and in constant suspense, this is the book for you. I highly recommend reading it.

A Book Signing To Die For by Judy Moore a five-star Beach Read. This is a charming cozy mystery set in the small town of Mantee Beach and this is all about how there was a book signing with a popular cozy mystery author Marcia Graybill, with book shop co-owner Beck and the other co-owner her Grandma Alice and all seems to be going well, this pairing is just so nicely done, I don’t know if I could live and work with my Grandma, but I think as Lizzie Beck’s sister just adds to the whole story. Anyhoo, after the signing one of the people who attended turns up dead, que Beck finding her dreams coming true, as a closet detective she gets to put her mind to it. Que red herrings and twists galore and you have a great story, honestly it will keep you hooked, and you will be kept guessing as to who is the killer!!! This was a great story and I will be keeping an eye out for Judy Moore.

I have yet to read a Judy Moore mystery novel that I didn’t love and A Book Signing to Die For: Beach Reads, is no exception to the rule. This book has all the things that I want when I sit down with a good hearty mystery novel. I loved that this was something I could lay out in the sun and soak up and feel as if I was right there in Florida at Beach Reads enjoying my very own novel.

We follow Beck who owns Beach Reads in a quaint Florida town with her grandmother. This is the ideal place to find the perfect read and enjoy a snack or drink with like minded people. Beck is excited to host a book signing for a very famous cozy mystery author. What she doesn’t see coming will change everything for her. Will things get better or will her life take a spiral downwards. I loved this novel and how it weaved the mystery so well that most of the time when I thought I had it figured all out I would still be pleasantly surprised that things did not turn out the way I had anticipated. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from Judy Moore!

I loved this book. This is an author that is becoming one of my favorites. I enjoy her attention to details as well as how well written her stories are. I have no problem connecting with the characters. They made me feel as if I was part of the story which made it engaging and easy to read. This is a mystery, suspenseful story that kept me turning pages to the end. There is alot going on in this book but I had no problems keeping up. Agent Cate has a new assignment of finding missing socialites but it could put a strain on her relationship with Warren. The Vice President is telling a tale of an underwater city named Matimus. Problem is how do they find it? Survival becomes a race against time to bring out the enemy and into their trap. What happens you will never see coming. I highly recommend this book and this author.

When you feel more comfortable dealing with the dead than the living, will she ever be able to deal with the hurt that is inside her.

Valerie is a social worker but with a difference she deals with the dead, with her office near the morgue and her colleagues calling her the “Anti-social Social Worker” she can’t understand why she has been asked to run a support group. She worries that she has not yet dealt with her tragedies in life so how is she supposed to get these young people to open up about there problems.

While she discovers the death of a nineteen year old girl she wonders and investigates what gone on but she can’t do this alone so she asks for help from her friend and detective, then things start to get real with Valerie having to deal with issues she has buried for a long time and will she finally get to the bottom of the mystery.

I loved this story and the characters worked well together, the subject matter was well written and had me turning the pages to try and get to the next instalment in the story. The twists and turns of the mystery added excitement to the story and a good foundation to the story. This is the first book I have read by this author and can’t wait to read the next book in the series and hopefully carry on this wonderful journey with Valerie and friends.

I was immediately hooked into Boundaries (Scope of Practice Book 1) by Jessica Aiken-Hall. Because I am a survivor. Even though Val is the star of this show, Maggie’s story was similar to my own. This book can seem quite raw for those that have never faced these ghosts, but people cannot write about things they do not know. You should know you are not alone. If you are a survivor this story will resonate with you. I had to keep checking myself to make sure I remembered who I am today. A survivor. Great book, it will make you think.

Girl Trap by Cynthia Hamilton was a great read! Another great addition to the madeline Dawkins mystery series. I was instantly grabbed into the story, just as I was with the other two books in the series. Great plot, great characters, this was a super easy novel to read that was full of all the emotions. I enjoyed following more of Madeline’s and Mike’s adventures, and seeing the story progress. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to read more!

The cover, blurb, and teasers sold me on this book pretty fast and I am very happy that I decided to read it. I loved how I was so consumed by these words that I found myself reading this in one sitting. I know for sure I will be back for more in book two as soon as it is available. I know this is one that any crime novel person will want to devour, so if that is your thing this is a book you have to have! I can’t wait to see what we will get next!

Girl Trap is the third book in The Madeline Dawkins Series by Cynthia Hamilton. Madeline Dawkins is an event planner and private investigator in Southern California. Madeline and her partner Mike Delaney must work on two cases that seem fairly straightforward at first. While Madeline investigates an estranged heiress in San Luis Obispo, Mike is on his way to Los Angeles to look for his cousin’s missing girlfriend and her sister. They are both about to uncover a terrifying world where the criminals will stop at nothing to keep what they have. Cynthia Hamilton writes yet another thrilling mystery in this series. The author does a wonderful job portraying two different mysteries at the same time. There are difficult topics discussed in this book, such as sex trafficking and mental illness, but the author does so in a tasteful way. I have thoroughly enjoyed this novel and look forward to the last story in the series.

She’s a Social worker and is actually more comfortable with the dead than living. She’s been asked to run a trauma support group. She finds her boundaries are tested . Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I truly enjoyed this Book and look forward to reading more from this Author.

Boundaries is the first book in the Scope of Practice series by Jessica Aiken-Hall. This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be the the last. The story flowed and the characters were relatable. I was suck right in from the very first page and didn’t put the book down until the last. This story was full of suspense and has many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I love a mystery that is predictable and this really hit the spot. Valerie Williamson is a very original character that I found very interesting. I look forward to reading what comes next by Ms.Aiken-Hall. If you like a good mystery this is a great book.

Cynthia Hamilton has once again captivated me with her Third Read in the Madeline Dawkins Series Girl Trap! This book had me hooked from the very beginning. It’s a mentally visual read that has me on the edge of my seat with the twists and turns throughout. This read definitely needs to be read as part of the series, for the complete full effect of the storyline and characters and that you do not miss any vital information. This was an excellent read and can’t wait for more from this series!

A Book Signing to Die for by Judy Moore is a cosy mystery set on the Florida coast. Beck is a small business owner, running a book shop and café with her Granny, with some help from little sister Lizzie. They regularly host book signings with celebrity authors. One fateful night one of the customers is murdered after a signing and Beck takes it upon herself to investigate the incident as she feels that the police are on the wrong track. When Beck’s investigation starts to produce results, she needs to decide if justice is worth her own safety. I really liked this book; it was entertaining with some unexpected twists. I would recommend.

When two separate investigations seemed to be linked can Mike and Madeline get to the cause and help those who are lost in the wave of destruction.

We are back with Madeline and as usual she is busy with both businesses but when some asks her to open up a 12 year old case she jumps at the chance, but what lies between the investigation is worst than she could have ever imagined.

While Madeline is looking into the 12 year old boarding school case, Mike decides to investigate the missing persons of two people close to his cousin but when delving into the case he uncovers that the two cases may not be that far apart from each and that the two of them are going to get more than they bargained for when secrets start to become uncovered.

This story delves into the world of human trafficking and it leaves you wrestling with the couple to find the answers to the questions of what has happened to these people. I love the relationship between the main characters and there roles have developed through the two books and now the third. Although this flows quite nicely as a standalone book as Cynthia gives you a brief outline for the history of the previous stories I would recommend you to have read these books before hand, not just for the history but they are great stories too.

This story opens up Madeline to yet more heartache and please has this woman not gone through enough but she keeps sucking it up and carrying in which is one her best character traits. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the story and thought that it had just the right amount of suspense to keep you wanting to read on to get to the end. I was not disappointed and can’t wait to read the final conclusion of this great series. Thank you for great stories and brilliant characters.

This book took some unexpected turns and had me hooked early on. Valerie is a social worker, who keeps people at a distance because of things that happened to her in her past. She does have a cat that she is very close to. She is told she has to run a trauma support group and she finds herself apprehensive in her ability to this. This story deals with some serious issues that might be difficult for some people. There are also other characters in this book that help bring this story to life. Valerie finds that some boundaries are getting blurred in certain situations. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that this is a must read and I cannot wait to find out what’s coming next. This is a well written story that has your emotions going up and down throughout the story. I highly recommend this book.

A Book Signing To Die For: Beach Reads by Judy Moore is a cozy mystery that I found myself pulled in from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading.,I literally was up wee hours into the night reading. I’ve read a couple of this authors books but this one is by far my favorite. I absolutely loved the character Beck. Beck and her grandmother own Beach Read bookstore and they live upstairs. After a well known Author comes for a book signing one of the people who attended comes up dead. Beck decides to do her own investigating into the murder. Will she solve the mystery of who did it? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I look forward to reading more.
