This was a nice quick listen, and I enjoyed learning about Eve and her journey through college while solving another one of her mysteries. The book had an extra twist to it that I didn’t expect while working on the mystery. Eve was determined to solve this while in school, in a time crunch, and with her missing friend’s mother causing her extra stress! I hope the next reader will enjoy this listen like I did!

Very fun read! Kept me on the edge of my seat. The narrator had just enough in their voice to draw you in, but not enough to give away the next moment. Very well done!

I couldn’t believe the twists in this sweet romantic mystery. I mean who saw the crazy coming! This is my first Eve Sawyer adventure.
Eve Sawyer is a journalism major at a local college. She wants to be an investigative journalist. It seems like she is starting early by helping the police solve crimes in her spare time. In this story, Eve is contacted by her friend’s mother, stating that her friend never came home and is missing. Eve soon discovers that the friend’s boyfriend is missing too. Are the two disappearances linked?
As Eve starts looking for her friend, she discovers so much going on. A bad break-up, a deceased father, an overprotective mother, a mystery ancestry hit, and an unexpected ransom situation. What seems connected may not be but could be. The crazy series of events that led to the big truth reveal was out of this world. Not to mention the budding romance between Eve and her investigation buddy.
Overall a good listen for the afternoon!

I first read this book about 2 years ago. I enjoyed reading the story at the time and have enjoyed listening to it this time around. The narrator did a good job and I enjoyed the voice she brought to Eve Sawyer. Since it had been a while, listening to the story was like discovering it all over again. I highly recommend the series as a whole.

This is not my first audio by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. It is easy to listen to and hard to stop. I enjoyed the narrator and how they made the story come to life. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It is a suspenseful story that is entertaining and brings mystery to a new level. What will happen when you have a missing girl and a boyfriend and a race against time to find them before it is too late. This is an audio you don’t want to miss. I really enjoyed listening to this audio. I highly recommend this audiobook.

This is a really good start to a new mystery series. This author does it again. He writes some amazing mysteries that have a dark feel to them. This is a story that has that feel of suspense and mystery. I sat down to start it and finished it fairly quick with a few interruptions from life. I didn’t want to put it down. The bit interruptions in this story are the rich high and mighty. It’s funny how they always insert themselves in the way. This is a story that will grab you right from the get go and you won’t be able to put it down until you are done.

Murder Off Route 82 by Jane Suen Narrated by Tiffany Williams This was the perfect listen for my four hour drive. I loved the story and how it kept me guessing what happened right until the end. Eve Sawyer was an unusual character and I’m definitely going back and listening to the rest of the series she is featured in. This was the first book narrated by Tiffany Williams that I have listened to – I love her voice and how she brought the characters to life. I’m looking forward to more books narrated by her in the future.

This was a very entertaining read! I finished it in one go, listening to it while I was working. I found it to be an enjoyable listen. This is book 3 of the Eve Sawyer series, and I’ve read the previous books. This book, however, would do fine as a standalone for anyone who hadn’t yet read the previous books. In this book, Eve and her love interest, Bob, set off to find their missing friends, Sally Rae and Drew, after Sally Rae’s mother called Eve to ask for her help in finding her daughter after she hadn’t come home for the weekend as she had planned. Drew and Sally Rae were in a relationship, but it was rumored that they had split up. However, both of them were missing with no clue as to what their whereabouts could be. Were they together? Sally Rae hadn’t been spotted by anyone since Friday afternoon, and Drew’s phone was left at home, and he was nowhere to be found. Eve and Bob do their best to track the two down, eventually receiving help from Drew’s roommate Randall. The friends are taken on a wild ride, full of twists. Another great read from Jane Suen, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Eve Sawyer is back! Murder Off Route 82 is book 3 of the Eve Sawyer series and the story is fantastic. Just when you think you have it all figured out….the suspense with the twists and turns kept me at the edge of my seat…and I was wrong is my suspicions.
Eve Sawyer is a college student and was asked to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a classmate by her mother. With the help of friends, Eve dives into trying to put the pieces together to what happened…which leads to secrets that come to light… but will Eve and her friends be able to solve this mystery… definitely listen and find out! Things may not be always what they seem….
This was a fantastic listen and I highly recommend this series!

AJ has done it again! He has set the bar high with this first book Murder At Music Hall, A True North Murder Mystery. It is the beginning of what is set to be a great series. I love me some good crime stories. AJ does dark crime stories well and just like his And The River Runs Deep this one is cleverly crafted and intriguing. It had me spellbound with the mystery and suspense, intrigue and drama, angst and wondering. I was so consumed by and swept away by the story and the emotions that I soon found the book had ended. True knows this case is going to take everything he has and thinking outside the box is the only way he can get it done. Oh, it’s not the murder investigation he has to worry about. No! it is the rich, manipulating SOB’s that are going to be the biggest hurdles to get around. This well plotted gripping tale draws you in to the darkness and those in the shadows, it sends thrills down your spine and feeling the stress and tension that is palpable and leaping of the pages. It was a long night of reading because even if I wanted to, I could not put it down. This story is full of lies and betrayal, and manipulation. It is an engrossing tale full of twists and turns. I found myself devouring every word turning page after page and I am looking forward to reading more from AJ.

“Murder on Route 82” by Jane Suen is a gripping mystery novel that keeps readers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. The story follows the tenacious and determined college student, Eve Sawyer, as she embarks on a race against time to find a missing classmate and her boyfriend before the case turns into a homicide.
Suen’s writing is fast-paced and engaging, drawing readers into Eve’s world of investigative journalism and amateur sleuthing. The character development is well-done, with Eve’s intelligence, resourcefulness, and courage shining through as she faces numerous challenges and dangers in her quest for the truth.
The plot is intricately woven with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing until the very end. Retired homicide detective Trueman “True” North knew death like he had a PhD from the Grim Reaper. He takes a case from the richest man in town, St. John Skidmore, to find out who murdered his son, Stoddard Skidmore. True thinks this will be another by-the-book investigation. He doesn’t count on the meddling of Skidmore’s daughter, Kitty, nor that of Skidmore’s ruthless business competitor. Even the orchestra that hired Stoddard has more phantoms than an opera.
In the land of the uber-rich, True learns, “And Justice For All” doesn’t apply. Some people want to buy him off, warn him off or seduce him to prevent him from finding the truth. Some will challenge North to hang on to his notion of what is just — not to mention his girlfriend as well as his life. If he doesn’t find the killer, an innocent man will rot in prison and a murderer walks.
When True does find the killer, that knowledge inverts all his ideas of justice when you arrive at the intersection of vengeance and mercy. He learns that the system is flawed when being rich and powerful outweigh verity. And sometimes, he learns, doing the wrong thing is the exact right thing.

Eve finds herself enthralled in another mystery when a childhood friend disappears. With limited clues, Eve finds herself grasping any lead she can find. The narrator kept my attention while switching between different characters. The story was interesting and full of well done character development. This was fast paced book with several mysteries packed into one.

This is one of my favorite authors. She has a way of writing that draws you in and keeps you there until the very end. I find that I enjoy this series because it feels like a down home country cozy but its not. I loved how out couple (unintentional) work together to find Sallie Mae. The description of Snake Mountain from the guy at the gas station would have given me nightmares along with her dreams. Such vivid details in the story that are brought to life by the narrator in the story. Audio brings so much to life that you do kind of miss just reading in the book. The narrator did a nice job. I loved the story and characters. It’s a fantastic series that I definitely recommend.

I did not see this coming. Eve received a call from a friend’s mother. The woman was panic stricken as her daughter always called or came home from college. When she did not show up, Eve went into detective mode and followed the clues to find her friend. That is all you get as I give no spoilers. This is a cozy mystery and was enjoyable to listen to. The storyline was easy to follow, but the end was shocking for me. I enjoy reading books from this author. She sets the scene and takes her readers on quite the journey. I love a story that reads like this. The characters give you that feeling that you have met them and they are friends. The story is fast paced as well as heart pounding. I look forward to seeing where this series goes.

I feel like every time I read a Logan McKenna Book, I swear that there is no way that Valerie Davisson could write a better book. Then there is a new release and it is better than the last one I read. This book is no exception. In this story, Logan is mixed up with an accident on a crab boat. When a local fisherman is washed overboard and feared dead – Logan is determined to find out who did it. Especially after someone she knows is accused of being involved. Logan is such a fantastic character and the people she surrounds herself with are such an addition to this book. I loved how in this book there was a sub plot that featured an illegal immigrant who finds himself in trouble. This looked at some real concerns for people who are living in our country. Sam in this book just really sweetened the story. The plot in this book moved so fast and featured so many twists and turns. Everytime I thought that it was all figured out another wrinkle would come into play. I read the last half of this book in one sitting because I just did not want to put it down – I had to know how it would end. I definitely recommend picking up this story. It is so very good and really sucks you in. If you haven’t read the others I recommend reading those as well! You won’t be disappointed!

You know what I’ve enjoyed most about this series is we either broach a subject that many see as taboo and or something new and this time I was introduced to the world of crabbing , it’s hard work and it seems rather dangerous …..
Dead bodies seem to be piling up ( a little exaggeration) on this little coastal town and people are on edge and rightly so and one of Logan’s friends , Sam , is a prone suspect and she’s determined to prove him innocent but even she’s having a hard time because everything seems to point to him and she’s getting opposition as far as she goes and Al is not as it seems in this little town , this time it feel like Logan may have bitten off more than she can chew 🤷♀️
Logan never disappoints she always gets what she wants and more often than not that means she’s in the line of fire , she’s a good woman with a good heart ? I’ve really enjoyed my time with her and all she gets up to ❣️📚

This is book # 6 of the Jorja Knight Series. I have only read one other book from this series and while both are good. I do feel a little lost in this last one. I definitely recommend reading all of them in order. That being said, Jorja entered into another country to spend time with her friend Gabriella. Unfortunately Gabby and another friend of Gabby’s has gone missing. Will Jorja be able to find Gabby and the other woman? I really like Jorja but I feel like she trusts too easily in this book and it seems to back fire a lot. While I am still reading this book, I do plan on going back and reading the other books of this series because I found out something’s in this story that I didn’t know before. Which is probably why I feel lost. So do not skip any of the books, read them in order.

Logan can’t seem to outrun trouble it always seems to find her …..
Logan heads to Oregon she just needs to breathe and clear her head a little bit instead she finds a body and she’s got to defend her friends , whom I might add are prime suspects 🙈 the police are distracted and more of the responsibility of proving their innocence falls on her….
Logan has her work cut out for her as the police have already decided who their killer is but she knows she’s right and one thing other than trouble finding her we know our girl is determined and I think her friends can be grateful for that trait 😉
Logan had me on the edge of my seat again and I expected nothing less if I’m honest 📚❣️

This is the second book in the series, I would recommend reading the series in order to get the full experience. The author is good at the world and character building to immerse you into this world. It is aimed at YA readers but can be read by ‘older’ readers who enjoy the genre.
Logan and her cases are like aging red wine , it just gets better with time 😉 also each book deals with subject/s that many won’t touch as they’re seen as taboo and they’re dealt with in a honest yet empathetic manner which makes reader see things from a different view , we “ see” what people are going through and their very real struggles .
Logan and Ben have just bought their first home together and there’s a lot of TLC needed ( that can make or break a relationship 🤣🙈)Logan is also going to meet her sister for the first time but before they can even really start their sibling journey , a young woman is found dead in the pool of their family hotel and they set out to investigate what happened to her …..
Well o tell you what I walked away from resting this with a very strong reminder that secret’s never stay that way , they have a way of coming out wether in your life time or generations later and fond of the forefather are passed down that’s for sure ! Logan ,girl you’re a magnet for trouble , it always seems to find you and you always seem to walk away reasonably unscathed 🤷♀️😉 till next time Logan 😉

Joey is a young woman in her first year of college at Portstown and it is tough going for her and her straight A record has fallen to a C if she is lucky, but she can’t catch a break to study when she is still reeling from the events of the year before. After the fallout from the Great Hunt and the attack on her friend group, she has been immersed in a world that is hidden from most and she has no real enjoyment of it, it just beings stress and exhaustion.
That isn’t the only thing, which is exhausting her, she has been having strangely vivid dreams and most recently nightmares, but she has nobody she can talk to about it, so she just keeps it all her to herself, however, one night when she wakes again screaming from another nightmare to the sights and smells of a fire on campus. She is drawn to see it, but she is also feeling strange when she does, but she still cannot stop watching, at least until she is by force.
As Joey continues to try and study, she is also working in the college library, this is where she also decides to do some research into the fire and her dreams, but she finds nothing on the internet and is definitely frustrated by it. Unfortunately, things just become more distracting as one of the mysterious Warner Guardians starts to investigate and soon people start to go missing, students from the college and more fires pop up.
Joey knows that the only thing she can do to try and figure out how everything is connected is to bite the bullet and go visit the friends and ask for their help, but will she be able to face the guilt associated with them and be albe to solve the mysterious fires and missing students, all while trying to pass her finals? This is a fantasy which is full of fiery content, stubborn teens and one nasty Dream Conductor, as a tangled web is unravelled to reveal the truths hidden beneath the facade of normality of Portstown and its inhabitants.
I enjoyed this novel. Joey’s journey to finding some answers about who she was and what was happening to her was a fun ride. This story includes many twists and turns that kept me interested and excited to see what would happen next. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more from this author
It wasn’t until I finished this book that I found out it was book two of a series. I think that maybe reading the first would have really pulled the story together for me. I found I was a little lost with a few things that were happening and told in the book, which I felt were probably addressed in the first book. But besides that, this book was good and so well written that I will be going back and reading the first book. This book was filled with so much action, adventure, supernatural, paranormal suspense. Mystery and so much more. This book was very well written and was so filled with imaginative story that I felt like I was right there with the characters myself. Joey finds a world of paranormal and she’s not sure how to come to the reality of the real world. This book really had me hooked thou from the beginning, and o couldn’t put it down.

This was a marvelously crafted paranormal story that I couldn’t put down! I hadn’t realized that it was the second book in a series, but I didn’t feel too lost. That being said, I am absolutely going back to read the first book, Lineage, right this moment because this author knows how to write a captivating read! I think I will probably enjoy the series much more having read the beginning as well. The way these scenes are painted brings so much to life and it is creatively vivid in every way! Joey is in college when incredibly strange things begin happening, like fires on campus and people going missing. What follows is nothing short of a wonderfully engaging and thoroughly entertaining book that you won’t be able to put down. I’ve picked up the first book so I can fully catch up before the next in the series arrives!
