I really enjoyed this story! It has all the elements of a great read! Memorable and unique characters, a gorgeous backdrop, witty conversations and I loved that the main crew works at a Repo business! They see the different side of life. The story is fast paced and always has something going on. This is my first book by this author. I was captured by the beginning and held on tight until that last chapter. This is loaded with action, suspense and drama. It is a wonderful start to this series. I look forward to reading more of the adventures of these guys.

Wow, great story!! I am so happy I picked up this book to read and I was totally hooked from page one of this crime/thriller.
Down on his luck, Clayton Conway, is working for a repo company and trying to get his life back together again. Some past events led up to him losing his previous job as a cop. While working on a repo job to reclaim some boats…..of course these boats are owned by cartel. Will the cartel reclaim their boats?
I love how this story unfolds, crooked thiefs, cartel….but also Clayton’s story and also his father and sister come into play….and the ending!! I cannot wait to keep reading this series and diving into book 2!!

I have learnt to expect the unexpected from this author and his books and this one is no exception. I think this book has to be my favourite of them all so far. I was riveted by the story unfolding in front of me, and the way it was developed so perfectly. I kept changing my mind on what I thought had happened, never really able to settle on an answer leaving me open to be surprised as the story developed. I thought the book was so well written. The characters were brilliant. I bought into them just as much as the story itself. The whole book had me gripped and I read it all in one sitting. This is another example of why I enjoy this author so much and I urge everyone to add this to their TBR piles straight away!

Shakedown is the first novel in the First Coast Thriller series. It highlights the story of what happens when a cartel’s boat gets repossessed. Xavier and Jimmy who are both Clayton’s co-workers assist him try to keep the cartel from dominating Jacksonville Florida. Cassie (Clayton’s sister), he is daughter, Reese, and his estranged father, Wendell all play a role in what happens with the crew of D&D. This first book in the series sets up a nice cliffhanger for the next installment of the First Coast Thriller Series.

Shake Down (First Coast Thriller Book 1) by Armand Rosamilia. I really enjoyed this book. Its a crime thriller and that is one of my favorite genres. I can’t wait to read this next book in this series. This story is of Clayton Conway who was a cop but due to his gambling addiction he has lost everything. His career and his family. He’s trying desperately to make it up to his wife and daughter but its slow going at best. He’s renting a room above a bar and now is a repo man. When he gets a order to repo a powerboat that belongs to a cartel member things take a much heated turn. Clayton thinks if he can bust up this cartel he can get back his old job as a cop. The danger even effects his wife and kids. He will do anything to protect them. This book is full of twists and turns you don’t see coming and it will keep you turning pages til you are finished!

In this book, we have introduced again to Andy and Stephen along with Andy’s daughter Stella. Andy and Stephen are in a committed relationship until Andy is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. I can tell you all about the thrill of finding a good read and the double whammy of it being a suspenseful thriller. But wow! This book took the genre to a whole new level. My heart was pounding. Palms sweaty, and gripping the kindle so tight. I was kidnapped from my world and brought into this incredibly well written Mark Nolan novel and there were ZERO regrets.

Book 2 in the Hawke family series picks up where book one left off. I originally read Savage Collision in 2017 and then never found the time to read past that book. I just reread book one and immediately had to go onto book 2.
How can you ever think it is a good idea to get involved with your brothers best friend? But that is exactly what Skye does. Feeling a pull towards Gabe Anderson should never of been part of her life. However you immediately feel the connection these two have and what they have been fighting off for years. One simple kiss and it throws their entire lives into complete chaos.
Enduring what Skye has can simply not be easy. I can only imagine what a sudden loss like she has experienced feels like especially given who the loss was. In Gabe‘s case he too has suffered incredible loss but in a different way. We find these two pulling towards each other and I think that the type of losses they both have experienced is what makes them magnetic to each other. I felt like they had a kindred spirit because what each of them have endured, the pain, the loss, hurt, the struggle and most of all I think they both encounter a sense of not feeling like they belong because of missing people or emotions.
Throw into the mix an over protective, control freak older brother who is also the best friend of the man you’re falling for and your emotions will be all over the place. There is some suspense in this book just as there is in book one which I enjoyed. This author does a great job of being very detail oriented, very specific, and setting up the foundation/background of each character so that you know where they’re coming from and why they are the way they are. She also did a good job of bringing in characters from book one and so you kind of get to see a little bit of a continuation of those characters that you first fell in love with.
If you enjoy a story with well developed characters, hot sex scenes, a little suspense, and an intense romance than this is the book for you. I highly recommend reading the series in order though to gain the most out of the storytelling.

Little does he know, that’s how his stomach would feel since the cartel is now on his back.
This is a new-to-me author and I found myself unable to put this book down for any extended period of time. It was fast-paced, full of action and adventure. There are several jokes included, mostly movie references, that put a smile on the face of the reader and one particular scene that made me fist pump in the air! I look forward to reading more from Mr. Rosamilia as I really enjoyed this story!

This is a good and intense read! During spring break, Angie Taylor escapes an abduction. Her three roommates did not. Shock has rendered her speechless. Can Clayton get back his life and find out what is going on when people start going missing and he tries to help the local force, will he put himself and his family in the middle of something he can’t get out of.
This is the first book I have read by this author and have to say I pleasantly surprised with the story and the drama written with the pages. The characters are well developed and drive the story as the twists and turns adds to the overall intensity of the story.
I love a good flawed character trying to make good and Clayton is up there with the best, the way he is trying to get back his family and trying to resolve some his past is brilliant to read and you are invested from the first chapter as he is a likable rogue. The secondary characters complete the story and drive through to make you want to keep turning the pages to read what will happen next.
I definitely recommend this book and would love to read more of this series and the author in the future.

This book is absolutely, perfectly, written. There’s not a bunch of rambling setup, and it just jumps in to the story hooking you from the very first paragraph. The characters are engaging and the reality of the situation is absolutely terrifying in its possibility. Angie is a college girl on spring break with her friends who manages to survive a kidnapping attempt. Unfortunately, her friends don’t and she gets blamed for their deaths. Due to a series of horrible circumstances, she winds up in a psychiatric hospital. Enter Brenda, Jake, and Cody. I love the author’s notes at the end of this book too, going over some safety tips while discussing how some of the scenarios came about for this book. I highly recommend this one and it’s definitely in my top 3 for book of the year for 2022!!

I love a book with an awesome dog that does not die during the book! I enjoyed the dynamic between Cody and Jake and all the good they do in the story. The world needs more characters like that. If you enjoy books with mystery, crime-fighting, and a strong female lead you will like this book. I thought the writing, in the beginning, was a little awkward and some of the aspects of the island situation were a little farfetched, but it was definitely original and interesting to consider. I did appreciate the ending.

This book had my mind running from the beginning. I was not able to put it down until I was finished with the marathon. And what a run it was! I feel exhausted but relieved. The author does a great job capturing your attention from beginning to end. I also love that the author details at the end of the book what parts of the story are true and what parts are not. The detail is what makes this novel so intriguing, but the fact that the author did their research to help bring the book to life makes it that much better.
Everyone has a mindset of “that can’t happen to me”, until it does happen to them. The events in this book need to remind everyone that it CAN happen to you and teach you to be more vigilant during our every day activities; whether it is driving home from work or going to a crowded beach party. I most definitely recommend this novel to any crime/mystery readers. This one will not disappoint!

I love when an author can seamlessly weave different character’s viewpoints into a single storyline. This book did not disappoint!! Mystery, intrigue, thrills, suspense, and just enough information about the characters to keep you needing more. I was thrilled to see this is a series and I cannot wait to read more about Clayton, Jimmy, Neil, Xavier and the rest of the characters we have met so far. I also really enjoyed the pace of the book. I wanted to keep reading and was on the edge of my seat. Armand gets you started with enough details, but doesn’t get hung up on adding fluff. Very enjoyable!!

I enjoyed this suspenseful story. This is not my first story by this author but it is one of my favorites yet. This is a well written story that has twists and turns that are not only edge sitting but also made the story hard to put down. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the story realistic and engaging. The characters pull you into the story from the start. They are connectable, strong and supportive of each other. This is a story about four girls where three are murdered and one escaped. The question now is, is she a victim or killer? This is a story you don’t want to miss. There is great plot growth throughout. I really enjoyed reading this story and I highly recommend it.

I love the research that went into the writing of this book. This helped bring the characters alive and the events plausible to real life. Some chapters are written from a different character view point, or continues the same viewpoint. This gives refreshing insight into what propels the story forward. I liked the idea of the therapy dog helping the main character through her trauma and the FBI having a victim’s unit. The apple airtags was something my daughter told me about when she bought some to use. Thank you to the author for adding a section to let the reader know what was fiction and what was fact. There is plenty of suspense to keep the pages turning. I enjoyed the book and will go back and read others in the series!

This book brought what is known as suspense, to a whole new level! I can not believe how this book went about, it was just so good! Action was at every page turn, and full of thrills an suspense!
Ok, as I said the suspense was real and a real page turner. What really hooked me was what the story gave me, and how there was more than meets the eye. When I thought I had things figured out with what went on with Angie, I was wrong, so wrong. I loved this book kept me guessing. And when you were given a little bit of what could lead to the truth, you were given a turn and twist that led elsewhere. The writing was sensational! I was very impressed from start to finish! Freaking loved this page turner book!
The book was a sensational read from start to finish. I had to keep reading to see what would unravel. I certainly must say its a must read, and without a doubt, a very high recommendation from this reader!

I really enjoyed this crime thriller and I was memorised from the start it kept me in the edge. I liked how the characters are well researched and fleshed out you can really feel the story and can feel the challange which is given. Clayton is trying to get back on track after gambling addiction cost him everything he had. When a co-worker goes missing he joins to rescue them. Makes this a great page turner.

I was enraptured by The Girl Who Escaped. The author kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I have love/hate relationships with crime dramas. I either love them or hate them, no in between. This one I loved! I couldn’t put it down. Keeping me interested even when not feeling well, reading it cover to cover in one go. Angie, a victim who has been convicted of a crime she didn’t commit. Ends up arrested and in a psychiatric facility due to her traumas. She feels she let her bestfriends down when she ran for her life, because it meant the end of theirs. Now it’s time to prove her innocence. With the help of FBI agent Brenda as well as Jake and his dog Cody, she’s on a mission of redemption and closure. Zarin is after her. She injured him greatly and got away. He can’t let her live to see another day. Unfortunately the Prince wants her for himself. So now he’s on the mission to get her back and bring her to him. The author weaves a wonderful story of a girl’s redemption and survival. While also shedding light on one thing a lot of young women fear. Kidnapped for trafficking. This book was well written and keeps you interested the whole way through. If you like crime dramas, give this author a shot! I know I will look into other books by this author in the future, I’m definitely a fan!

I’m not normally a thriller kind of girl but after seeing the intriguing cover and reading the synopsis I knew I had to read this one right away. I have read a couple of books by this author and he never disapoints. Full of mystery, suspense, drama, and more this book definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. Combine all of that with the incredible character development, and the fantastic word building, and we’re in for a wild ride.

This book was amazingly written, packed full of action, drama and redemption. I loved how well this flowed and gripped you from the first page. This author puts a lot of thought and background into this novel, that is bulletproof. I would recommend this book to all the “Criminal Mind’s” fans out there. I felt at times that I was watching a movie but realized I was reading. Can’t wait to read more from this author. Thank you for a wonderful gateway!

There she’s goes to jail and suffer threw more dramatic experiences. Finally she is sent to a mental facility where she gets help because of a dog and find her voice again. With help from FBI Brenda and dog handler Jake and dog Cody they are able to help her prove her innocence and find killer.

This book was addicting and refreshing! I breezed through the entire book in a few hours, and the story kept me hooked the entire time. The characters were all so relatable and real, and the twists and turns kept me guessing what would happen next. I am a big fan of murder, mystery, thriller type books – so this was right up my alley! Such a tragic story that then held hope, love, and justice in the end.
