I shouldn’t be surprised by Deborah Garland and her beautiful way with words. I have come to appreciate all that she has offered with her Darling Cove series, and A Must for Christmas definitely added to the beauty of the characters.

I loved going back and seeing both Faith and Greg, although their journey has been a little bit stressful. But, I’m glad and content with the way that she wrote this novella. This was a definite 4 Star Book for me.

Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book 3) by Deborah Garland ~ Review by Liz Vrchota

Must Be CrazyMust Be Crazy by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Be Crazy is the third book in the Darling Cove series from Deborah Garland. I personally would recommend that you read the first two books before you read this one, they do go in a pretty decent order and the characters are involved in each book somewhat. This one focuses on Skye Mallory. Her connection is that she is Gwen and Greg’s sister who have books one and two which would be the benefit to reading them.

Skye is single yet successful. As an attorney she rocks it and runs her very own office. Unfortunately when it comes to love she has not had the best of luck, especially with her last relationship that ended in a brutal way. However, both of her siblings have found the loves of their lives and she knows it is a matter of time before those around her start nagging her to find her own happily ever after. She is doubtful that she will ever change her mind though, especially with the secret she is harboring. All that is about to be put into question when her office and apartment catch fire and a hunky fireman extinguishes the fire, and lights the spark insider her again.

Edward Mendelsohn is that firefighter. He has his own demons and secrets he will need to get around but the beautiful Skye is something he wants to try to get over all that for. He is that single father of an adorable seven year old kiddo, Julian, and still recovering from a tough spilt from his mother. Just when he thinks he is finally at a point where he can move on with Skye and these two hit it off the past comes back to meddle in their newfound romance. Then there is a matter of secrets that come out to play. What will happen to the new love? Is it going to be extinguished before it ever gets a chance to become a full-fledged fire?

Deborah Garland has done it yet again! This is a beautiful story about love and hope.. a love so profound and deep, it makes you envious! And to top it off, it’s a Christmas story. Who in the world doesn’t love one of those ??
I do think Greg and Faith are my favorite couple of the entire series. I’m not exactly sure why… but I think maybe because they have such an intense love for one another. They’ve known from a young age, that they belong together. But yet didn’t give up on that love, even when life threw them curveballs and tore them apart. Sometimes, love is worth waiting for!!
Faith’s pregnancy doesn’t go as planned … it never does, when carrying two precious baby boys. Early labor and complications make life chaotic and scary. Will they get the Christmas miracle they so desperately deserve?
Dang it, Deborah… this story made me so emotional!! I love a wonderful love story!! And to top it off… a Christmas love story!! Love love love!! Outstanding job!! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next !!

Please say this is not the end of the Darling Cove stories…I have grown to love these people so much and I don’t want this to end. Someone else kind of came into the picture a little stronger in this book and I would love to see her get her own story, maybe there’s a long lost Mallory cousin out there somewhere..LOL or maybe Dad deserves a story…

This book took my breath away, there were a few parts that scared me to death thinking oh my goodness no this can’t happen. I loved returning to Faith and Greg even though it was full of scary moments and a lot of secrets that threatened everything these two fought so hard for. The way this family pulls together was so heart warming and that is one of my favorite parts of these books.

This author has quickly become one of my favorites and I will be following her from here on and will be one clicking whatever I can get my hands on.

Thank you Miss Garland for a beautifully written series with some amazing characters and please don’t let this be the end!! I already want to reread all of them!

Loved It!!

I love this series, everything about it, the people, the town, the family, the friends, the writing and the way everything just flows. It is completely awesome!!

Now with all that said I can concentrate on just this book…I’m not sure how to put into words what I loved most about this story. The storyline for me was completely unexpected..It did not go the way I thought it would. Miss Garland never gave in on the good guy maybe being in the wrong, and Skye being put right in the middle of everything and standing by what was right even when her heart was telling her not to. That’s still not explaining it the way it should be explained so you will have to read the book to understand.

I wasn’t crazy about Skye in earlier books but I always had a feeling there was more to her and I was right. Her story was so sad and her not wanting to burden her family with it about broke my heart. There were scenes in this book that I felt deep, some made me cry and others just took my breath away. I think I felt every emotion that was written or implied in this story and then some that weren’t so I was a mess throughout most of it.

I can’t recommend this story enough, but do not just read this book, truly and honestly to get the full effect of this family and these people you have to read them all in order.

Loved loved loved it and can not wait to read the next which is already open on my kindle.

I have come to find out that I really enjoy Deborah Garland’s books. I got the opportunity to read Must Be Crazy in the Darling Cove Series. I have fallen in love over and over with the characters that Deborah has created. I love the feeling that I get when I immerse myself in her world, a world that was well developed.

I can’t say that I was surprised to enjoy Edward and Skye’s book – I loved seeing their story and relationship grow. Their trials is what makes this story a wonderful one. I honestly can’t wait to see what she does with this series, and where it goes. This was definitely a 4 Star Book for me!

This is a story filled with characters about strong family ties. It also gives me a feeling of the love between not only the main characters but also the whole family. It’s nice to see Greg and Faith again. She is pregnant with twins and they have just come back from Skye and Edwards wedding. Then all heck breaks loose. Can they recover together or will they lose faith?

I loved seeing all the characters from the previous books in here. This family has such an amazing bond between them. Each has had a disconnect for a bit but they have all come back. When there are times of need? They all cover for each other. The guys…well their bonding has its fun times. They girls….give good advice. I particularly liked the relationship Greg has always had with his Dad. This one shows so much of that love between them and (hopefully Greg can carry that forward.

This story made me a little emotional at times. I also chuckled a few. Hopefully this isn’t the last in the series but maybe Lily can get a story now and we can still touch base with a few of these wonderful characters!

If you have read the previous series you will enjoy this. If you have not read the series you will enjoy it as well but maybe not have such a deep understanding of the characters. Either way it a great read!

I have really enjoyed this series so was really excited to find this new Christmas novella featuring some of my favourite characters! I loved Greg and Faith so couldn’t wait to read more about them. I love Christmas stories so I knew that I was going to love this one and I absolutely did! It was a really well written novella that I would quite happily have read a full length version of (mainly because I love this author and her amazing characters!) I loved that it was so much more than the sweet Christmas read I anticipated it to be, it had some great twists and turns in it and some very emotional moments. Ms Garland never fails to drag me into her stories and the lives of her characters with ease and this book was no exception. I would recommend the other books in the series are read as well so you can fully appreciate the back story of the main characters!
I loved A Must for Christmas and I look forward to more from this author again in the future!

I truly can not say enough wonderful things about this series!! If you’re a sucker , ( like myself ) for a romantic love story with a happily ever after… this book ( and series ) is for you!!
Being a single mother, I do have a soft spot for single parents! Especially single father’s … wow, I’m not sure what it is.. but it’s a weakness of mine!! I absolutely looooove a romance love story, with a few twists and turns. Trust me, once you start reading this book… you will NOT be able to put it down!!
Sky and Edward meet in an unconventional way… but immediately sparks fly. Is their love worth fighting for? You gotta read this book to find out!! You won’t be disappointed at all!! Another outstanding job, Deborah! I can’t wait to see what’s next!!

A Must For Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella by Deborah Garland is yet another wonderful addition to the stories of the Mallory’s. Deborah has written another beautiful but heart wrenching novella with A Must For Christmas. I am in love with the characters from this series and feel personally invested in each and every one of them. So if they hurt, I hurt. If they are sad I am sad and let me tell you there were plenty of times I had a good sob. However, there were also some moments that were pure joy.

Faith and Greg have been through so much to get where they are today, but could all be lost in the blink of an eye? Fear like they have never known is now front and center, with no time for second guessing. Now because of two little men their lives are forever changed.

Deborah’s stories are so vivid and rich and I am always happy to read her work. It is effortless and written with love. Her stories should not be missed.

The Darling Cove Series is set in a town called Darling Cove, the North Fork of Long Island and features a cast of characters who are family by choice and by blood. I would recommend reading the other stories in this series to get to know the personalities featured in this novella.

I was super excited when I saw this story was about Greg and Faith. I was curious as to what they were up to for Christmas. This story is quick, emotional and layered. It was deeper than the traditional Christmas novella and I enjoyed it.

I would recommend this story, this series, and this author.

A Must for Christmas: A Darling Cove Novella (Darling Cove) by Deborah Garland was a heart pounding, sweet, feels gripping read that had me on the edge of my seat, mostly because I was sitting there like.. don’t you dare, don’t you even dare do ti!

A grand addition to the Darling Cove series, this book takes place, or a better description, picks up were the last book, Must be Crazy, leaves off. So this book is a companion, so I highly suggest reading that book first, well all of the books actually, because they follow a chronological timeline. So spoilers.

This books main focus is on Faith and Greg, and them welcoming their little bundles of joy into the world. This doesn’t go smooth, and we are left in a limbo like stat, and for me, a little panic, because what author doesn’t like to mess with their characters and readers hearts? So much raw emotions, chaos, and reality. I had to put this down because I was starting to think the worst, and by the universe I didn’t want to read that. But I pulled my big girl pants up and read on.

This book is more than a addition, it’s a look into a very real situation, and one that happens more often then you want to believe. You can plan, plan, plan, but something the universe has other ideas.

This book is a must read for this series, so please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval that you will get kicked in the feels and still when it all said and done, you will want more with this amazing group of characters and their crazy antics, witty dialogue, and of course from their unique world.

Happy Reading

Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove #3) by Deborah Garland – Review by Emily Walsh

Must Be CrazyMust Be Crazy
ByDeborah Garland
My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove Book #3) by Deborah Garland was a sweet, light hearted, frustrating, whirlwind romance, that like the other books in the series, had me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read by this author, or this series. They are all standalones with recurring characters, there aren’t many spoilers, but I do suggest reading this series in order, just because the timeline is chronological.

This time we are following Sky and her crazy adventure through love, misunderstandings, stupid ex’s, and what it means to truly trust someone. I have to say, this book out of all three, was for me, the best. I liked Sky from the other books, strong independent and bluntly awesome. She speaks her mind and doesn’t have a lot of time for BS. She gets stuck between a rock and a hard place when her idiot of a ex shows up with a case, and offering a chunk of money, that because of events in past books, she couldn’t pass up. As much as I wanted to slap her, I can see were she was coming from, but, hell, the girl should have asked for help before it got to that, no return point.

Edward, I need me one of those. Charming, hot, heart of gold, a little bit stupid, single father, and volunteer firefighter. The guy is as close to perfection as you can get, but, as much of a fighter and alpha he is, dude learned a hard lesson about cutting corners, and, not divulging some important info, that could have solved a portion of his and sky problems, before they arose. I will say that, he didn’t walk away, he knew what he wanted and was going to do everything to make it work. There was no quitting, with every problem, misunderstanding, misstep, he fought, and did his best to turn it around. It was such a different approach, and was a fresh of breath air.

Overall this story, this series is a must read. Outside of the amazing well build characters, solid plot and multi POV. The writing was so well constructed that when the POV switch it was like you were reading two different stories that so happen to be taking place at the same time. When those stories collided, it was like magic and, man, I was hooked like you wouldn’t believe. I do hope there is more to this series, as their stories are still fresh, new. I believe there is still so much more that can be build and explored upon.

So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will get lossed in this wicket love story, that will not only get those feels kick started, but have you hiding a blushing from all the hot steaming smut scenes.

Happy Reading

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Be Crazy is the third book in Deborah Garland’s Darling Cove series and so far it’s my absolute favorite. I was drawn to the story the second I read the first page and my attention was captured throughout the entire thing. The characters are the type that you can’t help but relate to and want what’s best for them as if they’re your own close friends. It doesn’t hurt that we have met these characters in the first two books as well. The synopsis of Must Be Crazy is incredibly intriguing and I don’t want to spoil anything about the story here but I will say that this book touches every emotion, the road to happiness for Skye and Edward is anything but smooth and nothing short of entertaining.
I’ve really enjoyed the Darling Cove series as a whole but this one surpasses all my expectations. I’m looking forward to reading more from Deborah Garland in the near future but this 5 star read was definitely satisfying enough to hold me over. I highly recommend Must Be Crazy!

Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in the Darling Cove Series and one I have been waiting for. This series has been one of my favourites and this story is just as good if not better than the other two books and let me tell you I loooooooooved the other two and the Mallory’s. Must be Crazy is a wonderful second chances contemporary romance that is romantic and sweet, heart wrenching and tender, emotional and yet passionate. I was absolutely invested in these wonderful characters, previous and new and found myself crying and laughing throughout and often on the edge of my seat hoping upon hope that things would turn out ok.

Edward is a single father who is a good, kind and compassionate guy who devotes his time to his son, volunteer firefighting and his business as an architect, volunteer firefighter, single father, and all-round good guy. One call, one fire and his life is changed forever.

Skye thought she could have it all, until she learns just who her client is after.

If you love a good romance story, then why stop at one when you can have all three. Trust me reading has never been so good.

Deborah Garland has done it again with “Must Be Crazy” the third installment in the Darling Cove series. Make sure you read the previous books before reading this one because they are all amazing and need to be read! This story is about Skye, the oldest Mallory daughter and middle child to Greg and Gwen. Skye has always been kind of a loner, even in her family. She loves them all, but loves her alone time and has secrets to protect. Her whole world comes apart and suddenly, there is Edward the local fire chief. Edward is fiercely protective of his seven year old son, Julian, since Julian’s mother left them three years ago. Between being a fire chief, single dad and an architect, Edward hasn’t had time for a love life. Events throw these two together and boy do they stick! If you have been reading the whole series like I’ve told you to, then you know Edward and Skye were a long time coming! I was so excited to finally read Skye’s story! I love how close the Mallory family has become over the past three books and how we get to keep learning new information about all of the couples. No one book is just about the main couple, everyone is involved and sharing in endless amounts of love! Love, love, LOVE these books and can’t wait to read “A Must for Christmas!” So, I obviously give “Must Be Crazy” five stars! It’s probably my favorite book in the series! Thank you, Deborah Garland!

You do not have to read these books in order but i highly recommend reading all of them because they’re all very good! Skye is the FMC and is has has a rough go at things lately and just hasn’t had the best of luck. She has a horrible ex and is big factor in that so called bad luck. I really really really wanted to punch him in the face. But then there is Edward. He is swoonworthy! So he more than makes up for the ex! Skye and Edward have chemistry galore and i found myself rooting for their HEA very quickly! I am looking forward to reading more by this author and i would recommend this one to a friend!

Must Be Crazy by Deborah Garland is the third book in the Darling Cove series and I think it is my favorite as of this moment. I laughed, cried and hurt for Skye.

Skye dealt with so much in this book and a long hidden secret comes to light. The love she gives her family and they showed her is how its supposed to be, especially in the dark times.

Edward is a great man. He does so much for the community all while raising his son, Julian alone. I loved getting to know him and his story. Julian stole my heart in so many ways. As a Mom I just wanted to make things better for him and cuddle with him.

This is a series I almost didnt start, I’m so glad I didn’t make that mistake.

This being the third book in this series was another great one. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the chance to get to know more about the Mallory’s and the extended family. I was just as entranced with this book as I was the first.

I really like how Skye and Edward’s lives just really became entangled with one another. The outside dramas that incurred from her ex and his ex just really made the story. The author really has a unique writing form that you get sucked in from the first page. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Skye and Edward and then throwing in his young son really just made the whole story. I found myself really drawn to Skye as she was so relateable. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future and I actually hope that there is more to this series.

This book was good. Finding true love is hard especially when it’s something expected of your family. This love ends up being like no other love and it can break, but can it be fixed is the question. I found my self skimming at parts that seemed a little slow for me. The book was well written and the plot was great. You could see the writers passion for romance. It something you will want to read more about the characters after the book ends. It’s a good book. The good romance you want in your life that’s in these pages.

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2)Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Must Have Faith” is the second book in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland so make sure to read “Must Love Fashion” first! “Must Have Faith” gives us the story of Gwen’s brother Greg and the woman he was supposed to marry ten years ago, Faith. Greg has been stuck in the past since his ex-fiancée left him ten years ago, right before they were to be married. He is an honorable man and dedicated police officer, just like his father, and proud of it. Faith left Greg to report to Iraq for a three year assignment, but that was seven years ago and she is still stuck on what happened before she left. The story of these two people is long, but intense. They have loved each other for so long, but can’t seem to get it together! I was hoping Deborah Garland would give us this story, as she hinted to it in “Must Love Fashion” and I wasn’t disappointed. The more I read about the Mallory family, the more I love them and reading about their lives. Darling Cove seems (excuse the pun but…) just darling and most of its’ residents seem like down to earth, genuine people. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait to start reading “Must Be Crazy!” I probably know who it is about and can’t wait to see what Deborah Garland has in store! When Gwen got hired at her new job at Prada, she had no idea that she would be taking over the PR duties from a current employee, Andrew, who had been in Milan for a few months. So, when he returned, she was surprised to learn he also had no idea she had been hired. He treated her poorly at first, from shock and maybe a hit to his pride, but she was taken by him from the first glance. Andrew is a bit of a broken man when he returns to New York and less than excited to be working so closely with the new girl. Can these two work together successfully? No spoilers here, but seriously do yourself a favor and read “Must Love Fashion!” It is the first book in the Darling Cove series and I can’t wait to see what else Deborah Garland has up her sleeve! Gwen and Andrew’s story is such a great read! I devoured it in a day, since I didn’t want to put it down! This is the second book in the Darling Cove series and I loved it! I love how its a second chance romance with an older couple. I don’t necessarily see that often and that’s one thing I love!

I instantly fell in love with Faith. Her career is something I haven’t read in novels. I loved her personality from the get go but there is also this mystery about her on why she ended thing with her fiancé Greg Mallory all those years ago.

Greg’s heart has always been with Faith. He never really got over that heart break and thus is still not married. Faith is back and he wants answers. He needs this closure so he can move on with his life instead of living in the past. What he didn’t expect is to still be just as attracted to her as he was 10 years ago. Now he’s battling his head, his heart, and the barriers that keep him from those secrets she keeps.

I have fallen in absolute love with this series. Each one is incredibly special and will pull your heartstrings to the very end. I love Miss Garland’s writing and the way she will sweep you into her story from the get go!

Greg Mallory isn’t the kind of man to wallow just because he was left at the altar. Not when there are plenty of women to help him forget his heartbreak. But as the only Mallory son, he has an obligation to carry on the family name. When Greg’s runaway bride returns, his head tells him to keep his distance, but his body and his heart are both begging for a second chance.

Faith Copeland bolted out of Darling Cove with a shameful secret and stayed away for ten years thinking Greg Mallory would never forgive her. Coming home means facing her past and Greg. She just didn’t think he still had the power to make her melt after all this time.

One moment alone proves their attraction is stronger than ever. Are they brave enough to start fresh? Or will past secrets destroy their second chance at happy-ever-after once and for all?

Must Have Faith is the second book in the Darling Cove Series by Deborah Garland. Must Have Faith is second chance romance. I am in love with this series. The characters, backstories and growth was amazing. In my opinion Must Have Faith is my favorite one from this author. I think it may have been because this wasn’t just about two people that were childhood friends reconnecting, or strangers meeting.

Escape into the exciting world of fashion where Andrew Morgan, a former male model turned brand manager meets his match in Gwendolyn Mallory, a beautiful small town public relations specialist he doesn’t think he needs.

She was hired to turn the fashion world upside down…not his.

Go behind the scenes as Gwen sets out to prove she has what it takes to promote a prestigious brand like Prada. Andrew is already struggling to accept his PR responsibilities have been taken away from him, but the intense attraction he has for Gwen is just plain getting in the way of rational thinking—sleeping with a co-worker has always been on his to-don’t list. But Gwen challenges everything Andrew believes about love and relationships as he puts aside his heartbreaking past to have the woman he never knew he needed.

Follow the sparkling fuse slowly burning with sexual tension as Gwen brings to life a sexy devil…who just happens to wear Prada.

This is the first book by Deborah Garland that I have read, and I love how the author put the plot together. The chemistry between Gwen and Andrew was instantly. As Must Love Fashion unfolds you are able to follow their emotions and thoughts as the relationship progresses. This is the first book in the series and I look forward to reading the next ones.

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove Book 1) by Deborah Garland – Review by Moriah Venable

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove #1)Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Love Fashion is the first novel in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. This is my first novel by this author.

Gwen Mallory has a lot going on with her applying to Must Love Fashion ad. Her dream comes true when she begins working for Prada. She is also in the process of a divorce and with her mother fighting cancer, she get regular mammograms. When a lump is found, Gwen has another one.

Former model Andrew Morgan is not the Manager for Prada and still grieving his wife who passed from cancer a few years before. Meeting Gwen, the new PR, was not the best meeting. He is angry and very rude to Gwen but is there a chance that this may help Andrew move forward?

When the two have to go on trip together, will the sexual tension finally have an outlet or will the two deny their growing feelings?

I really enjoyed this novel. Gwen was someone I would relate and felt she was a strong character. Not only with putting up with Andrew’s rudeness but with starting over and finding a new job in the midst of a divorce. I also felt for Andrew who was shell of his former shelf was fighting his feeling for Gwen because of his grieving and feelings for this late wife. I enjoy that conflict because I know a lot of people struggle to move on when losing a spouse and often feel guilty when they start to fall in love with someone new.

This was a very enjoyable novel that made me laugh and smile as I read. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a cute and relatable romance.

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove Book 2) – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2)Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Have Faith is book two in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. I cannot say how much I enjoyed this story. My favourite of this series so far, and I can only hope they just keep getting better. Somehow I don’t think I will be disappointed with what’s to come.

The beginning of this story intrigued me. The middle of the story enchanted me. The ending of this story completed me. The characters added mystery, excitement and attraction. Faith made mistakes. Greg tried to get on with his life. Faith tried to immerse herself in work to lessen the pain. Greg done just enough to survive and tale one day at a time. There were so many feels to their tale. Heartache, loss, realisation, happiness, elation, passion, frustration, love, adoration, rediscovery, anger, tension, contentment, completeness. A whole lot of emotion thrown in, mixed up and blended to make a delicious and tantalising tale.

  1. Deborah Garland nailed the great entertainer. This book could not be better. Flawed perfection. 5 starsView all my reviews

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove Book 1) by Deborah Garland – Review by Susan Mowdy

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove #1)Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an amazing way to start a new series! I was completely hooked into t his story to the point I couldn’t put it down to make dinner (my kids had to live with leftovers that night).

Gwen applies to Must Love fashion ad and is having such the trying year. Between her mother’s fight with cancer and her divorce, something good needs to happen in her life. Andrew is an Ex model who is suffering the loss of his wife. When he returns to work he realizes that he must share his office with Gwen and he wasn’t happy about that.

The chemistry between Gwen and Andrew was amazing (even from the beginning). I loved the heart felt journey these two embarked on. It was heartfelt but so beautiful to see these two find each other during a rough time in their lives. I cannot wait to read more of this series!

Must Be Crazy (Darling Cove #3) by Deborah Garland – Review by Katie Matthews

Must Be CrazyMust Be Crazy by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been really looking forward to reading the third book in this series after loving both books 1 and 2. I really enjoy this authors writing style, her books are really easy to read and her characters are real to life. I always find myself transported into the stories that she writes easily.
I loved Skye and Edwards’s story! Their story was scorching hot in more ways than one. I loved that their relationship was a little slower to build. I have to say I loved Edward! He was just so perfect! His attitude to life as a Dad was heart-warming and you could tell that his son meant everything to him and he would do anything to give him the best life that he could.
I honestly loved every second of this story, the characters were great and I was rooting for them the whole way through! I can’t wait for more from this author in the future!
