Amy’s Santa was a great 5 star read and book one in Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation series. This is Drew and Amy’s story and I was pulled in right from the beginning.
We start out when they are kids and go through the years until they are both adults. Amy is 18 and ready to leave for nursing school. After she saw Drew with a sweet butt she was determined to get away.
Years pass and Amy has her degree and a great job in Phoenix, she visits here and there. When Amy returns for Christmas she has a secret that she is keeping from her family. She has experienced something tragic that has caused her distrust of people. What will happen when her family finds out her secret? When she sees Drew old feelings come back, could she possibly finally get what she has always wanted?
Overall I really enjoyed this read and I really loved the characters. We get multiple POV’s which I love so I can see what others are thinking. My emotions were all over the place. I did also have some LOL moments as well. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. 1-click and get started today on this great MC read.

I love a good whodunit, suspense filled ride. And boy what a ride this one was! I was immediately hooked and mesmerized by the storyline. The characters were engaging and relatable. Moore certainly provided a fast paced thrill ride for her readers, one that any murder/mystery lover will in fact delight in. Loved it from beginning to end!

Eliza is a woman who knows what she wants. Right now, what she wants is to be able to fulfill her life’s dream of being a successful musician. She’s worked hard for the chance she’s been given to be in a band that is making a name for themselves and she’s beyond excited that she’s headed out on tour for the first time. What she doesn’t want is to wake up one day at the hospital to find out she’s survived a brutal attack where she was left for dead. What she really wants then is to heal and move on. But when Renegade becomes part of her protection detail, she learns quickly that getting what she wants isn’t going to be that easy.
Renegade is a man who knows what he wants as well. He’s served his country in many ways, and he wants to continue his career protecting those who need it most. When he’s called in on a favor, he never expects what he gets. His protection detail this time is a feisty woman who challenges his every move and sometimes his sanity. But when she lets go, he finds that maybe what he wants can change.
This was such a fun, steamy, entertaining quick novella! I loved the fact that they are such opposites. Renegade is used to being more stealthy and in the shadows, whereas Eliza is flashier and likes the stage lights. They’re both extremely hard-headed with huge hearts to match. Their love story was well written and sweet. I’m really intrigued by the supporting characters too and am interested in seeing where this goes next!

A Song to Remember: A Crescent City Wolf Pack Novella (Mystifying Music Book 3) is a quick “one sitting” read that has werewolves, witches, romance, discovery and so much more.
I absolutely recommend everything this author writes. Great character development and world building.

Misplaced is the second book in Mara Gan’s Joined series and somehow I happened to start with book two. It feels like the book could be read as a standalone as I didn’t really feel as if I were missing something though I would always recommend starting a series from the beginning. Joined is a fantasy romance series so if that is your genre then this is definitely a good series to add to your repertoire. Also if you are fascinated with Greek mythology and history then you will find something to like with the series and the book! (I am sure Sappho rings a bell, right?) The writer gives us Meda who wakes up not knowing who she is or how she came to be where she was at when waking up … somehow she manages to keep herself alive and carves out a life in the strange surroundings she woke up in … she has a special skill of healing people … the writer takes us on a journey along with Meda that is filled with twists and intrigue and danger so hold on and enjoy the ride!

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander was the best one yet! This is book four in the series and as the books have progressed I have loved the next couple more and more. I give this book a five out of five stars. I loved the whole opposites attract, it’s my go to plot with romance books. Micah was a sweet character to read and I enjoyed the shock that he was presented with once he stepped on the island. Natalie is a go getter and knows what she wants and I just love that Phoebe Alexander has these strong women in her stories. Again, this definitely takes the cake for me, I can see this series easily becoming a yearly reread for me
Forbidden Love; Written by Lisa Jones Gentry, As Told by Joe Steele was a very deep read. I give this book a four out of five stars. I found the time period captivating and the struggles very present. I was drawn in on pure emotion and struggled to keep it together through some parts. The point of view was unique and definitely adds an element to the story. The religion is there but I was more captivated by the characters, their lives, and the time period. I am not overly religious I knew just enough to understand the drama that was present when picking this book up.

Addie: To Wager on Her Future (Other Pens, Mansfield Park book 5) by Leenie Brown was romantic read. I loved Addie from the moment I started. She is strong willed but aware of where society is. I was concerned with her future when we met her brother. It seems like Addie’s future is taking a dark turn. I enjoyed the read and the end was definitely worth the time invested. My romantic heart was satisfied.

Best book I’ve read in years This is honestly the best book I’ve read in years and thats not just the best in the fantasy genre but in general. It has mystery, suspense, romance and lots of battles! It had me hooked straight away which to me is very important in a book. I loved the way the author brought in crystals and gemstones and it was genius the way they intertwined with the main storyline throughout the book. I loved following the main character Ian as he is a character with depth. Hes someone who has so much power inside him that he doesn’t know what to do with. I feel privileged to have read it and cant wait to read more from C.L. Schneider!

A great read about memory. Shane is a musician and a werewolf. When performing a gig in a pub, he meets Bekah and they instantly connect as she is the fated mate that he’s been waiting for. But when a friend dabbles in dark magic, he is robbed of his memories. Can he find her again without his memories? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Shane confident but vulnerable underneath or Bekah standing up for herself but with her worries underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the skeptical Chase or the cautious Luke or the sweet Emma. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with New Orleans cathedral of white marble and tall spires and colourful houses and little backstreets as somewhere full of magic and wonder. Or the saxophone itself with its case and keys in simple beauty. Or its music sweet and melodic drawing you in so vivid it’s as if you’re actually there, wonderfully written. A great example of world building with fantastical creatures living alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. I also loved the passion for music throughout the novel was a lovely touch. The switch of perspectives was easy to follow with named in the sections and to display both sides of the story. I also liked the use of suspense with small details and memories revealed slowly to make you want to keep reading to find out what happened. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan. This book is awesome. I love Mara Gan so when I see a book of her I grab it. This one is no different. I do recommend reading the first book just to get some background on the characters. This is the story of Meda who has found herself washed up on a beach with no memory whatsoever. Only her name, Meda. She is not well equipped knowing she can’t sew, cook along with a whole list of others things she couldn’t do but she did find out she could heal people with just a touch. Now that’s amazing. As she wakes up on the beach she is alone and scared but wants to help people and along the way she meets Kyros who lives a very well to do life. Kyros has all the trappings of a wealthy person but Kyros is not happy. He’s not doing what he truly wants to do with his life until he meets Meda. He is taken with her beauty inside and out. Meda has set out to help people she doesn’t even know regardless of her own safety. This story is full of love, danger and fantasy. Its a remarkable book and you will be sucked into the world of Meda upon the first page!

Naughty & Nice is the fourth book in Spicetopia by Phoebe Alexander. Phoebe Alexander has amazing attention to detail. Her characters are fully developed and you can relate to them. The characters have chemistry that does not stay on the pages. This is Micah & Natalie’s story. Micah is the officiate for the owner of Spicetopia. He really did not know what he was getting into. Natalie is the official event planner for Spicetopia. The wedding is the first event and it will be the best event. Natalie really wants to make a mark as the new event planner. Now Micah and Natalie were not looking for anyone and both made a promise to themselves that they will be good this week and not get involved with this event going on. Will this be the event of the century or will this be a flop? Will Micah be able to distant himself from Natalie? Will Natalie behave herself and stay clear of Micah? You will not be disappointed in this installment of Spicetopia.

I give The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price by C.L. Schneider, 5 stars.
This book is absolutely amazing!!! It centers around Troy, an outcast who is looked down upon because of both who he is and what he has done. He feels extreme guilt for what he has done and vows never to use magic again — vowing it to be evil. You can really feel his internal pain and conflict. But he has to defend those he swore to protect. He cannot see it, but others see good in him. To see him learn, change and make decisions that can have dire consequences is so enthralling, I could not wait to see what he would choose to do next. He is so flawed, but somehow humble, but fighting the revenge he feels at the same time. He has help though. Along the way, he befriends those who become closer to him then he’s ever known.
Then there is the story itself. It is ever-evolving and although there seems to be one final goal, Troy takes one day a time, deciding as he goes along. There is much tragedy, but there is also passion, hope, and love. It is an epic adventure, travelling throughout the lands. As you would expect with any good epic fantasy, the author paints such a vivid picture of the landscape and the people we meet along the way. She puts you right there with Troy, going through all of the things he goes through.
I was enthralled by this book and highly recommend it to those you like epic fantasy adventures with strong characters and a wonderful story.

5-Stars
Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) by Phoebe Alexander was a steamy and romantic read. Natalie and Micah were amazing characters in this story. They are preparing for Cy and Jolie’s wedding at Spicetopia and things are heating up between the minister and wedding planner. I loved how Natalie seemed to break through boundaries to get Micah to open up. This story was easy to read and fun. It features the characters from the previous books in the set but can be read as a standalone. I loved how to completely different characters came together. It was wonderful. Excellent read, I highly recommend it!

I love Mari’s series. I like how each series is about a different family, each book about a different couple but that the families over-lap through-out each series.
I really liked this story line. Katarina and Chase were introduced in The Torzial Series, as friends of Jenny and Brian. We later fell more in love with them in the Prestian Series. And now during the Larussio Legacy we continue to follow their story! We also get to meet Katarina’s cousin Giovanni and his new friend Serena. What a match these two are! Katarina has to prove she can rule the family while her father is injured and possibly on his death bed; Gio has to prove that he can rule his own life without his uncle’s guidance and judgement; Serena proves to herself that she is smart, strong and worthy.
As I have said before, Mari’s mafia families and crazy good sex make for amazing stories! You don’t have to read the other series before this one, but if you do, when you get to this story it feels like you have a better connection with the characters

I give A Song to Remember: A Crescent City Wolf Pack Novella (Mystifying Music Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen, 5 stars.
I have really enjoyed this series so far and was looking forward to this, the next book in the series. It fit in being that it I involved the same werewolf pack and had a boy meets girl romance, but it was so different as well. Having Shane forget everything but somehow remember Bekah was a great twist. They way it happened was quite different too. Both Bekah and Shane are real, wonderful characters, making you feel like you know them. Not to mention the story itself. Not only is there the romance that you want to happen, there is something evil seemingly after them. This makes it much more than a paranormal romance novel in my opinion. This is not a very long read, so if you are like me and can’t put it down, you can finish it fairly quickly.
If you are a fan of shorter paranormal romance with good characters and an interesting story, this book is for you.

A Song to Remember: A Crescent City Wolf Pack Novella (Mystifying Music Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen
5-Stars
A Song to Remember: A Crescent City Wolf Pack Novella (Mystifying Music Book 3) by Carrie Pulkinen was an exciting and romantic read. Bekah and Shane finally find each other only for Shane to lose his memory. Somehow he manages to find his way to New Orleans where she is but she doesn’t fall for his act. Can they figure out why he lost his memory and find that love of a fate bound again?
This story was an easy paced one and easy to read. I got completely lost in it and finished it in one sitting. Shane had impressive musical abilities and Bekah learned to trust herself more in this story. I loved that it tied in characters from the other books but can be read as a standalone. I also liked how the author pulls Emma into the storyline and let’s her show off some of her own skills. This was such a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!

“The Crown Of Stones: Magic Price” is an incredible fantasy novel! This first installment was an amazing way to kick off a series. It took me away to a different world, and I got lost within the pages and the chapters. It’s a book about magic and responsibilities of the like I’ve never read before. The closest thing I can compare it to, is Game of Thrones meets Harry Potter, in the adult way. If I could give this novel 10 out of 5 stars I definitely would! I highly recommend this book, and I can’t wait to finish the series!

BURNING GREED: a gripping murder mystery, full of suspense (DI Tanya Miller investigates Book 2) by Diane M. Dickson, 5 stars.
This is a very good suspense/murder mystery story. Tanya and her team of investigators must solve the case of a body found in a burned out building. At the same time, Tanya’s niece goes missing. While her focus is on the murder victim, she finally decides to go look into her niece’s disappearance. The multiple things happening between the two cases means there is never a dull moment. On top of that, there is Tanya herself. She feels she needs to prove herself in her job, and struggles with the family she has left.
The characters are written very well, they seem like real people. While some of them annoy me more than others, I believe this was done on purpose. There is room for them to grow and I cannot wait to see their progression in future books. The story has so much going on, you will not be bored for an instant. You will be left somewhat happens next until the end.
If you are a fan of suspense or murder mysteries where the police try to solve what is going on, then this book is for you.

The Traveler:Chimera Rebellion is the first book in The Book of Eleanor by Shannon Nemechek and what a first book it was. Shannon Nemechek is a new author to me and I will be seeking out her books in the future. This story has all the great elements for a great book. To be honest it was the cover that drew me to the book. On the other hand, it was the plot line and characters that keep me glued to my kindle. Nemechek writes about Kate and Colm who meet by chance. Kate loves books and when the book is rare, she makes it her mission to find it. This rare book that she found takes her back in history, and lands her in the middle of a war zone. Enter in Colm, who is a soldier who just so happens hates slavery. When his parents passed on, he inherited his family plantation. He is off to make a lot of changes and that is when Kate enters the picture. Colm and Kate have different backgrounds. Will Colm trust Kate? Will Kate find her book? What does the future hold for Colm and Kate? You will have to read this book to figure out those questions. I cannot wait for book 2 to come out. So for now enjoy book one.

“With great power, comes great responsibility”, is a well-acclaimed phrase attributed to spider-man. But this is a universal truth, applicable to all the people who toy with power. If the power is not used wisely, it will lead to chaos and destruction and we end up paying a heavy price. This forms the crux of this fast-paced, gripping fantasy novel from C.L. Schneider. Plagued by his own past, a handsome warrior and a magician, Ian Troy, forces himself into self-exile to escape from his own power. He belongs to Shinree, a fallen race, scorned for their innate addiction to magic. Shinree are drugged to forget their power and enslaved to curb their usage of magic at free will. Ian grows up as a warrior and a soldier in the kingdom of Rella, whose queen looks upon magic as a bane. But when the barbaric Langorians engage in a fierce, gory battle with Rella, Ian is forced to use a powerful magical weapon to end the war. This entails heavy destruction, leading to a complete wipeout of armies on both sides. Crestfallen by the damage he has caused, Ian lives in exile, succumbing to alcohol and women, to escape his own obsession with magic. But after a decade, he is confronted with a series of bizarre events that compel him to embrace magic again. An unknown powerful force has joined hands with his deadly Langorian enemy, and together they are uprooting empires. Rella, the kingdom to which Ian had pledged himself to, is in ramshackle and the current queen is in jeopardy. This powerful force aims to break Ian’s will and forces him to use magic, for reasons unknown. Ian is challenged at every step, subjected to physical and emotional torture through spells, both ancient and powerful. He has no other choice, but to invoke his own magical prowess, to tackle this omniscient sinister force. In his quest to find his enemy, Ian encounters many people, none whom he can completely trust. He uses his instincts to the best of his abilities but finds himself misled and trapped in a magical labyrinth. The traps are set at every point and the magic runs thick and deep. Finally, when he unravels the mystery, layer by layer, he comes face-to-face with the hidden murky truth, which shakes the very foundation of the principles on which he had laid his life. The truth is nowhere close to what he had believed it to be. As the thin lines between right and wrong grow dim, Ian attempts to close down on the very source of magic which is causing this devastation. And as the burden of the power falls on his shoulders, he has to pay a heavy price, yet again. The book is very fast-paced and manages to keep the reader engaged and hooked to the plot. The spells are very imaginative, and with each spell, the plot deepens. Both the friendships and the enmity run deep and it gets difficult to decipher the illusion from reality. The twists and turns last until the very end of the book, and it leaves the reader wanting more. The only qualm, which I have is the portrayal of women in this book. All women are condemned and derogated. In particular, there are two powerful female protagonists, who demand a well-respected standing in the plot. But on the contrary, either willingly or tossed as a bait, they find themselves as objects of physical desire to the men. Though the author ties up the loose ends in the end and clears the air behind their intentions, I wish there could have been another way, that they were also addressed as noble and treated with some respect. But with the sequels following, I am hoping that this impression will be erased and the women get their due credits. Leaving this aside, it is a brilliant piece of work by the author. I could not put the book down and I am looking forward to reading the sequel.

Forbidden Love is a powerful and emotional love story about a black priest and a white polish nun. They went against everything society told them was acceptable to be together, and a decade later they had their son Joe. Joe was adopted by a loving family as an infant but wanted to began his journey to learning about his birth parents, his first meeting with his mother was beside her hospital bed in intensive care. Sophie, his birth mother then told him all about her relationship with his father and the obstacles they had to overcome and how they made it work. The ending will be have you feeling so many emotions but it’s worth the read.

Rule is the first book in the Larussio Legacy series by Via Mari. I love the complexity and feeling that Via puts into all of her books and the way the series that she writes intertwine with each other. You learn a different aspect of the characters from a different point of view. This book is no different and it had me hooked from the very first page. I just couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Giovanni and Serena are a very dinamic and interesting couple. This is just a really great book to read. It is one of my favorites by Ms. Via. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next. Review by @sunbarn

Somebody in the Neighborhood by Judy Moore is full of surprises and is a mystery thriller with lots of twists and turns. There is murder and drama, fear and secrets. The characters are a little different and complex but well developed. The story gets you right from the beginning and slowly draws you in to the web of whodunit, where everyone seems to have interesting things to say about their neighbours. It is mainly set in south Florida where the neighbours seem nice but each have their own secrets to hide and each of them may be the killer. I loved Dorothy the oldest of the neighbours she cracked me up and I really wanted to stamp on Dawn’s mother, she got my goat up but that shows that Judy did a good job in writing them.
Dawn decides it time to leave the place that has been her home for 25 years. She needs a fresh start and definitely a new boss. When she sees her aunt’s house for the first time since she was murdered she decides this is where she wants to be. Dawn meets her neighbours and quickly learns there are some secrets they don’t want to share and some of them are quick to point their fingers.
Dawn’s fears soon become reality as the murderer comes to light but an unlikely hero comes to her rescue. When things settle down Dawn is given some truths that may change her life.
I enjoyed the story which will keep most guessing right to the end. I must admit I did work out who did it but it was still interesting to see if I was right or wrong because you never know what little twists and turns an author may add.

These two stories were the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The author did a wonderful job illustrating how past experiences should not dictate current life experiences, which is a great lesson for readers to learn. The first character Noelle had to overcome her past anxieties to be able to celebrate new traditions with her boyfriend. I feel like I related with Noelle the most because I also deal with anxiety and the holiday season can be a very trying time. The second character Eve had to learn how to break her holiday bad luck by going to her neighbor’s New Years Eve party. These two stories were a quick afternoon read that left me feeling uplifted and in the holiday spirit.

Running In Snow consists of two short, sweet novellas that I thoroughly enjoyed! It was absolutely perfect for a quick afternoon reading break!
Story One is Noelle’s Promise. This is about a woman who had something bad happen as a child that resulted in her never, ever celebrating Christmas in any way. She avoids all this Christmas cheer like it’s the plague! This year, against her better judgement, she has agreed to spend the holiday with her boyfriend and his family. Can she get through one week without being overwhelmed with tragic memories? Can she get through one week without making these people think she’s completely crazy??? Noelle and Logan are such a great couple!
Story Two is Eve’s Hope. This is about a woman who swears she is cursed and refuses to leave the house on New Year’s Eve and refuses to drive ANYWHERE in the snow! So what is a girl to do when her heater breaks in the middle of a freak Atlanta snowstorm that happens to be on New Year’s Eve??? Head over to the HOT neighbor’s house is what! Will her curse continue or will things change at the stroke of midnight?
Both of these stories were beautifully written and pulled me in. You know it’s a great story when you are completely absorbed in it and can feel an emotional pull to the characters in a book that only takes about an hour to read! These stories will leave you with feelings of hope and happiness which is something we can all use this time of year and always!

Burning Greed is the 2nd book in the DI Tanya Miller Investigates series by Diane M Dickson. I did not read the first book, but still enjoyed this one, so it can be a stand alone. There are some suggestions toward previous cases, and it likely lays the groundwork for the character relationship dynamics, but it is written in a way that you can hop into the series. The book follows Tanya Miller, as her team investigate a warehouse fire. She takes a small detour to help search for her missing niece, leaving her feeling torn between work and family. She has a solid team she feels comfortable leaving her friend Charlie in charge, but is eager to get back to her case. Upon returning, she sees there is not much progress made, and is feeling the pressure. There are a lot of pieces, but they don’t seem to even fit together in the same puzzle. Could it just be coincidence, or is there a missing piece? I like the writing style and the characters. There is enough detail and mystery to keep the reader hooked. I look forward to reading more.

A fast romantic read that was full of drama and suspense. The main characters had an instant connection and intense chemistry. The storyline was fast and action packed that kept me reading. I enjoyed the storyline. This was the first I’ve read from the author and look forward to seeing what she writes next.
