Earl of Darby (Wicked Earls’ Club) (Once Upon A Widow Book 4) by Aubrey Wynne – Review by Michelle Austin

Earl of Darby (Wicked Earls' Club) (Once Upon A Widow Book 4)Earl of Darby (Wicked Earls’ Club) by Aubrey Wynne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Earl of Darby was a great 5 star read and book 4 in the Once Upon A Widow series.

We start out with a heartbreaking tragedy that left Nicholas reeling with all that was revealed. This tragedy has made a big impact on him and the fact he doesn’t celebrate christmas. He has built up walls and has avoided women as well.

Hannah is getting ready for her first season. She has her sights set on one specific man, Gideon, however when she finds out he has eyes on someone else she is devastated. When her brother has to go home to be with his wife, he leaves her in the care of his best friend, Nicholas. When Hannah meets Nicholas she is instantly drawn to him.

When Hannah catches the eye of someone very dangerous, things take a scary twist.. Can Nicholas keep Hannah safe? Will they give into their attraction?

Overall I really enjoyed this read, I liked watching these two slowly come together. I really liked Nicholas and I wanted to see him happy again, Hannah was perfect for him. My emotions were all over the place. This was a Christmas love story with a twist and I loved it. This is a must read series and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Misplaced: Joined by Mara Gan is the second book in the Joined series. This one doesn’t seem like a direct continuation of the first book but there are connections revealed. Meda has found herself on the beach with no memory of anything other than her name. She has the special skill of healing people she finds out quickly. Who is Meda and how does she fit in?
This book is a sci-fi, fantasy, with romance. There is action, twists, and lots of intrigue and danger. I enjoyed seeing how Meda was going to change and learn who she is in this book. I am curious where this author will go next with the story.

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4)Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander is the set of 4 books that make up this series. Always love when I can get the entire series in one go. These can be read as a standalone but each book has characters in common. I have read book 2 and 3 in the series and am excited now to get to read 1 and 4.
Virtue & Vice by Phoebe Alexander is the second book in the Spicetopia series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading them in order. Moon and Katja are part of a team bringing adult’s everywhere a place to play with a bit nice with much naughty. It was also cool to see the story from their view since the first book was from the view of Cy and Jolie. As always, I enjoyed Phoebe Alexander’s writing and how each of her characters are distinct individuals. This is a fun, quick read and left me wanting the next book in the series. I can’t wait to see where this continuing story leads.
Fire & Ice by Phoebe Alexander is the third book in the Spicetopia series. Right off this is not for teens due to sexual content! Otherwise, this is a fun series set at an adult theme park. These do not need to be read in order but I have enjoyed the series in the order of the books. Neve Romano, Director of Security, and Enya Moore, Director of Public Relations are called to work together to save the park from sabotage. The only problem is she is fire and he is ice. When they start working together there is some steam started between them.
I enjoy Phoebe Alexander’s books and this is another to the growing list I have enjoyed. If you like a good read with a bit of suspense, some spicy parts this is the book for you.

Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio – Review by Cassi Rogers

Hula GirlHula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hula Girl by Laura Ward Cosio is a wonderful stand-alone novel. The authors writing was flawless. She beautifully created a story with a great punch line, excellent character descriptions and many heart touching moments. Ava is a lawyer and has been busting her hinny off for the last 6 years to get herself where she is. Her boss forces her hand at taking a vacation in Hawaii. While on her vacation, taking a trip to the store, she is forced down a side road to avoid smashing a wayward chicken in the middle of the road. With no turn around point, she follows the road to the end, where it leads her to Ford. What ensues is just a pure blissful, steamy, vacation fling. After Ava’s vacation is over and she returns home, she buries herself in her work once again… only to run into her surfer boy in her hometown at a prestigious law firm event. Feelings are shared and explored, hurt and hidden. The chemistry between these two is way more than what a small vacation fling allows… but they live in two different states so how will they ever make it work? This book was excellent and I am glad I stumbled upon it. I laughed a lot, teared up in a few places, and felt my heart swoon at all the charm. You’ll definitely want to add this to your reading list.

Summer Break by Autumn Sand was a very short but precious book. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the book that came before this one so I feel as if I missed a lot of background story and information pertaining to the characters but it didn’t take anything away from this book. I was able to follow along and understand things just fine. I enjoyed the characters, their personalities, and the storyline of this book. A group of friends going off on a summer vacation… what can be better than that? There was a lot of emotions packed in to this book in the form of secrets and the ins and outs of friendships. It was written very well and gripped me from start to finish.

Summer Break: A Joe Football Novella is a standalone by Autumn Sand and it is part of her college romance series of Joe Football. It was such a fun to meet up with Favor, Brice, Jana, Wayne and Cal again and be part of their road trip to New York.
I have read more or less everything that Autumn has written and I think it does not matter whether she writes for us grown-ups or for young adults, she hits the spot every time! Even when the story seems so straight forward on the surface, she manages to throw in a curveball and that is also the case with this novella … at times love is just not enough and secrets do have power to tear friends apart!
I am looking forward to whatever comes next in the Joe Football series and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Autumn gives us …

Winds of Fear (Fearless Series #3)Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Winds of Fear by Glede Browne Kabongo is an amazing and gripping story. Although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone – it is the first book I have read by this author and I didn’t at any point feel like I was missing something from having not read the previous ones.
This book was an absolute thrilling ride. The description alone caught my interest and from the moment I started reading the book I was hooked. At times it honestly felt like the pages turned themselves I was reading it that fast. I just had to know what was going on!
Having never read anything by this author before I didn’t know what to expect. What I found was a well developed and intriguing psychological story that I couldn’t put down. With fantastic characters there was nothing about this book I didn’t like. I cannot wait to read more by this author – starting with the rest of this series.

Misplaced by Mara Gan is the second book in the Joined series. This book doesn’t necessarily need to be read in order although I would recommend it as I feel the overall story will be more fluent.
I was excited to start reading this book given how much I loved the first. Honestly I didn’t like this one quite as much however I still really really enjoyed it. I knew early on that I absolutely had to find out what was going on and to see if Meda was ever going to discover her missing memories – and what those memories might hold for her.
The characters were all interesting and I liked how it felt as though they all played a part. The story was full of twists and turns that it kept you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. I would definitely recommend this series.

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4)Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4) by Phoebe Alexander is a one stop shop to her steamy, sexy and oh so titillating stories. The characters are great and you can feel their struggles, their love, their pain.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) I really enjoyed this book, being a little different than her other books made me want to see what it was all about. Let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised, I shouldn’t have been because I enjoy her other books.

Cy is on orders to infiltrate the enemy, the works at his parents theme park but as time goes on he realises just who is the enemy. However when he meets the queen of Spicetopia, he can’t get her out of his mind. Will he join the fight and get the girl?

Jolie is a hard working woman who works two jobs just to scrape by. When a certain young man comes to work she can’t get him out of her head but it can never be that is until he wears her down but will he really still want her when he learns her secrets?

Virtue & Vice (Spicetopia #2) is another excellent spicy and steamy romance. I really enjoy Phoebe’s work and always get lost in her stories. Her character portrayal of Moon and Katja are spot on. The stories are so hot and steamy that will leave you in need of a cold shower. I love that the story has a background story to tell as well. What can I say really, Phoebe’s work speaks for itself?

Fire & Ice (Spicetopia #3) is suspenseful, intriguing and mysterious story that is also fun and I love the banter of the main characters. It is also sexy and steamy and a great continuation of this excellent series. This is a little different from the first two but I loved it. Phoebe has created a world where all our pleasures will come true, a world where anything goes, a world for the rich and famous set on a tropical island which really makes it a hardship to read. Not. It is a quick read but it has a lot going on which keeps you glued to the pages wanting to know who is after them.

Neve is the head security guy for the new Spicetopia and is on a press circuit with the head of media, Enya. Unfortunately she is a pain in his neck. He is a man of few words and a huge chip on his shoulder but it seems nothing can get through to him. That is until they disappear but will anyone be able to find them?

Enya loves to talk, it is her job after all but Neve is a hard nut to crack. When things go wrong and they are both in danger, suddenly she sees him in a completely different light. I fell in love with Neve and Enya’s and their thoughts and way with each other had me laughing, they are truly delightful.

Naughty & Nice (Spicetopia #4) is my absolute favourite of the series but I will not reveal any of its secrets because I will leave a full review under its own book, because I have just finished this wonderful tale. Suffice it to say Phoebe did a great job and it is one book you don‘t want to miss out on.

If you like something oh so sexy and erotic, steaming and exciting then this is a bookset you should grab and dive right in. A great read to get lost in to unwind.

Hula GirlHula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ava is a hard-working lawyer forced to take a vacation when one of the partners in the law firm she works at determines that she needs a break away from the office to clear her head after a recent incident during a deposition. To most people, a week on the island of Maui would be exciting and relaxing. After 3 days of trying to relax, unplug, and enjoy the beautiful island, Ava finds herself ready to get back to work. What starts out as a trek to find a laptop so she can check her emails sets into motion a series of events that will change Ava’s world forever.

Ford enjoys his morning surfing, teaching music to children on the island, and sipping on some nice tequila in the evenings. Finding Ava on the side of the road as she searches for cell service so she can navigate herself to the nearest electronics store is not usually part of his day. After some harmless flirting, Ava and Ford embark on a vacation romance that is super hot. Agreeing not to talk about their real lives, Hula Girl and Surfer Boy enjoy each other’s company in the bedroom and on the town until Ava must return back to Los Angeles. However, what happens in Hawaii doesn’t necessarily stay in Hawaii.

What happens when they see each other again and their real lives are more intertwined than ever? Ford is required to return to Los Angeles to wrap up business with his father and crosses paths with Ava. This chance meeting leads to a story of lies, love, and heartbreak that I found myself fully immersed in. Now Ford is the one on the timeline as he tries to prove to Ava that what they had in Hawaii is real while Ava is set on believing she can’t have love and the career she has worked so hard for. I found myself rooting for them along the way, hoping they would find their happy ending. This story was a wonderful reminder that sometimes the biggest obstacles to happiness is our own mind. A great read by an author that is new-to-me but one I will definitely be checking out in the future.

Amazing! Yet again another fabulous book in this series. I have to say that this series is so unique. Who knew that an adult theme park could bring so many couples together! I just find this author’s series so unique and refreshing. This author brings the whole adult theme to the reader in such a great way that even if it’s not your cup of tea you find you just cannot put the book down and want
to see how it all comes together.

I really found Natalie and Micah’s story to be quite sweet. I found that the author dealt with all the subject in such a great way that this book will appeal to so many. I like how the story isn’t predictable and how there is just enough drama around the romance to keep the reader’s attention.
I really found myself drawn into the story and felt as though I was there in the thick of it watching the characters come to life before my eyes. The author has such a great writing style that one cannot help but get hooked. I definitely will be reading more from this author in the future and hope that there are more books to this series.

Amy's Santa (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #1)Amy’s Santa by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

AMY’S SANTA is book one of the new series “Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation”. it is my opinion that while this can be read as a stand-alone, it is important to read the preceding series’ in order because it relies heavily on relationships we’ve met in the previous series. I have read almost all of the books and had to pause a few times to remember different circumstances that were being referred to.

The story is well told and while it does include some extremely graphic scenes, they were well done and not overly gory. It is a classic MC romance with a bit of a twist that was super intriguing to read.

Amy and Drew are kids who are kind of products of their upbringing but each has made independent decisions on how they want to live their lives. Their story takes place 20 years from the prologue and I appreciated the maturity of each character. We get to revisit with characters we met in previous series and see how the club is growing and changing.

I hope that Dr. Hottie gets his own story because I found him very intriguing and would like to know his story.

As racism and bigotry rears its ugly head in America again, I am reminded that “acceptance” is a relatively new phenomenon when you look at the timeline of the country.

FORBIDDEN LOVE is the true story of a nun and a priest, told in past and present tense. This is a book that was told to the author by the man who was a product of the FORBIDDEN LOVE. This is a fascinating story and I found myself searching online for more information.

This is an intricate story that is riveting and one that I will just say it is absolutely worth reading and researching a little more.

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4) by Phoebe Alexander

5 out of 5 stars

Spicetopia boxed set is book 1-4 written by phoebe Alexander. I really enjoyed reading these stories. The characters are well written with strong personalities. The plots where great.

Book 1 Sugar & Spice: Cyrus Sweet is the youngest son of the owners of a kid’s theme park called Sweetopia. To force him to pull his weight in the company, Cyrus is made to go undercover to find the employee who is causing an uprising. But he finds The Red Velvet Queen and she opens his eyes to the troubles in Sweetopia will he choose his family, or will he do right by the employees of Sweetopia?
The Red Velvet Queen is really Jolie Cox and she a single mom who relentlessly struggles to make a living for herself and her sons.
They both met when they disguise what will happen when Jolie finds out who Marcus aka Cyrus is? Will she walk away with-out listening to Cy? Will Cy give up on Jolie?

Book 2 Virtue & Spice: This book contains BDSM and swinging and is hot hot hot. Why can’t adults have an adult theme park that caters to their needs. We get to see Cy and Jolie as they partake in an adventure with Moon and Katja the couple they met while away.
The creators of Spicetopia know adulting is hard. Bills. Mortgages. Parenting. Estate planning. Sometimes you just need to kick back and indulge your inner kid except now that inner kid has grown-up tastes.
Cy and Jolie have experience from the kids’ theme park Cy’s family owns. Moon and Katja bring technical and architectural expertise to the table. So, these two couples set out to create a world of adult fun in a slice of paradise called Spicetopia.

Book 3 Fire & Ice: Neve Romano, Director of Security, and Enya Moore, Director of Public Relations, have never gotten along. What will happen when they must work together to stop someone from sabotaging Spicetopia’s grand opening? Can they work closely together without killing each other? Will they find out who is behind the sabotage? Can these two have something between them and have a happily ever after?

Book 4 Naughty & Nice: The big day for Spicetopia, is approaching and Natalie is planning Cy and Jolie’s wedding. She meets Micah when he arrives a few days early. He is officiating the nuptials and was a little interested in checking out the park. She wanted to make a good first impression, but the minister they brought in to officiate the ceremony was a sugarplum she wouldn’t mind sinking her teeth into. She needed to keep her hands and mouth to herself if she was going to pull off the holiday wedding of the century!

Micah Greene, he worked so hard to keep himself on the straight and narrow after he saw what promiscuity and debauchery had done to his brothers. He didn’t know what to expect when he was asked to officiate a wedding at a theme park catering to “grown-ups.” He would somehow resist the seductress event planner he had to work with. No matter how hard it was.

They could work together for one week, right? How hard could it be? You will need to read this story to find out, but I suggest you read all the books in order, so you know what’s going on.

I highly recommend this book/series….

I was super excited to see this Author is writing a second generation, I cant tell you how much I have truly enjoyed the Satan’s Devils MC series. I couldn’t put it down till the end. There might be some things/ scenes that may cause triggers. Read with caution. This is the first in the Second Generation. This is Amy and Drew’s story or A.k.a Wizard. There is ten years between these two, growing up in the MC she always had crush on him.that is until he pretty much shattered her heart when she walked into the club and seen something she really didn’t want to. But know several tears later she’s coming back to the compound for Christmas except she has a secret. Will she be able to confront her father and tell him her secret or will Xander tell him everything? Can Amy and Wizard have a future together? Is the club in danger? Find out what happens next in this must read book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.View all my reviews

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1 – 4) Spicetopia Series by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Angela Hayes

Spicetopia Boxed Set (Books 1-4)Spicetopia Boxed Set by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spicetopia Boxed Set contains books one to four in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. The series is set in an “adult” theme park- where things get quite hot and spicy. In true Phoebe Alexander style, these stories sizzle off the pages. And the best part about this is you get all four books in one. No waiting between stories!
This is definitely a series any erotic romance lover won’t want to miss.

The Boxed Set contains:
-Sugar & Spice (Book One)- Cy and Jolie’s story.
-Virtue & Vice (Book Two)- Moon & Katja’s story
-Fire & Ice (Book Three)- Neve and Enya’s story.
-Naughty & Nice (Book Four)- Micah & Natalie’s story.

Sugar & Spice.
Sugar & Spice is the first book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. I really loved this book, it is a little different from her other books- but with the same sexy flare we have come to expect from Ms. Alexander.
Cy is on an undercover mission at his family’s theme park. He has a job to do and there is quite a bit at stake. But he’s thrown off-kilter when he meets the delectable Jolie.
Jolie has a few secrets of her own. She works two jobs trying to make ends meet- taking care of her responsibilities is her number one priority. Sparks fly and the heat rises. But what happens when secrets are revealed? You really need some Sugar & Spice in your life to find out all the delicious details for yourself!
This was such a sublime introduction to the Spicetopia world!

Virtue & Vice.
Virtue & Vice is the second book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. I though the first book was sexy- but this one turns the heat up even more- but still with the wonderful depth and substance Ms. Alexander is known for.
This story picks up from book one- so I would definitely recommend reading the first book, Sugar & Spice, before jumping into this one. Cy and Jolie, from book one, play an important part here- but it is Moon and Katja’s perspectives that really drive this story. Cy’s idea about an ‘adult theme park’ brings these four together, in more ways than one. Plans come together, and their ideas are flowing. They will all need to work together to bring their dreams to life. Add plenty of spice, turn up the heat, sprinkle some emotion, and blend a great storyline into the mix- and we have the recipe for a captivating read.
The story has a few surprises thrown in to keep our interest heightened. As well as having a lot of erotic moments throughout the book- with swinging/ménage, light BDSM, and plenty of ‘adult fun’ to be had- so don’t say I didn’t warn you.
A fantastic story, with great characters- makes this a superb addition to the Spicetopia series!

Fire & Ice.
Fire & Ice is the third instalment in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. Fire & Ice is my favourite of the series (so far). I know I say this with every book Phoebe Alexander releases, but I can’t help it, her books just seem to get better and better- as each new book slightly eclipses the one before it.
This is such an engrossing romantic suspense- with an enemies to lovers element to the story, as well as drama, action, mystery, intrigue, humour, spice, passion, BDSM, and erotic fun. The story has a few surprising developments thrown in to hold our interest. This was definitely one book I wasn’t putting down till I’d read every word.
This book follows Neve Romano and Enya Moore. Neve is ex-military and the new head of security at Spicetopia. He is the ‘strong-silent-type. A man of few words. Disciplined and controlled. Holding people at arm’s length, gives him a cold-as-steel facade. This makes him the complete opposite of Enya- a chatty, friendly ‘people-person’, (and at times fiery) redhead, who is perfect as the Director of Public Relations. Her personality grates him and makes him shake his head. She thinks he has a huge chip on his shoulder. They’re oil and water.
With the Grand Opening of Spicetopia fast approaching, someone is hell bent on Sabotaging the whole thing. Neve and Enya are thrown together to try to figure things out and get to the bottom of it all, before it’s too late. And things are about to heat up!!!
Another addictive addition to the Spicetopia series!

Naughty & Nice.
I have just finished reading this book- and WOW! Ms. Alexander out did herself. (Full review will be posted under this individual book title).

So, seriously, what are you waiting for- you need this boxed set in your life!!
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Phoebe Alexander!
