Caine (Men of Syn Book 2)Caine by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anise Storm has done it again. Book 2 is just as steamy and suspenseful as the first, and very hard to put down. Caine and Emery were an unexpected couple, but each with their own struggles. As their story unravels we watch them grow and develop individually but also as a couple.
Caine flees D.C after being accused of murdering his father. He seeks refuge in Denver with Hawke who helps provide him with a place and a job. He looks to prove his innocence, but also experience some fun on the side. We then meet Emery who is a rich and spoiled politicians daughter who goes from riches to rags after her father has a scandal that rocks her world entirely. Clearing her head and out for fun she meets Caine at Hawke’s club and begin a one night stand that turns into much more.
With no place to go and no money she unexpectedly turns to Caine, who offers her a place to stay. Together they both set out to get their lives back in order with no lacking in suspense, sexual chemistry, or danger.

Caine (Men of Syn Book 2) by Anise Storm is the second book of this series and it’s a great dark/romance read. I was first drawn to this book by its cover, it really intrigued me. While this book is dark, there is plenty of romance that at first catches her reader off guard but it made this reader love her story even more. I personally loved everything about this book her plot was fantastic, her word-building was flawless, and her characters were fabulous. While reading her story I found myself enthralled in the story and my opinions of certain characters changed along the way. So if your looking for a great new dark/romance I highly recommend.

This set is definitely for the 18+ group. Two hot, steamy stories that heat up the pages. The author certainly knows how to bring out the lust in the ladies. Some nice romance and chemistry in the story make for good entertainment. Both stories have well-written characters. If you need a little spice, check out these stories

I loved this 2nd book of the series and Author Anise Storm does not disappoint!! You do meet Caine and Emery in book one so it was great to have book two about these characters. Caine is a man that is wanted for murder. Hawke (from book 1) gives Caine a job to keep his head down at Club Syn. Emery is spoiled, entitled rich girl and Charlotte’s best friend. Emery’s world comes down when her father is involved with a scandal that leaves her penniless. On a stormy night, Caine and Emery bump into each other. Sparks fly!!! Caine fights for his freedom to clear his name while Emery tries to clear her fathers name. I LOVED this book!

I have read a few books from this author and she always blows my mind. These are two short sexy stories that will make your temperature rise. I was so excited when I got this bookI stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end. These characters had me hooked on these reads right from the start.

The first story is called Tequila Sunset. Cass is suffering from a hard break up. She has always had a crush on her best friend’s dad but she doesn’t want to hurt her friend. Cass is left with David, her friend’s dad all by herself. Will she get the courage to ask him what she really wants or will she be a good girl?

The second story is called Beneath the Sheets. Alex thought he had the best girl he could ever have until he catches her with one of his main clients. He is so upset he doesn’t even know what to do then he gets an email that changes everything. Sarah Snow was his first love and before he knows it he is on a plane to Australia. Alex doesn’t know what is going to happen when they meet again but he knows this time he is going to fight for her. Will Alex find his love or will he end up lonely once again?

Caine was a really good read. This is the second book in the Men Of Syn series. The storyline of this book was really good, but to me it lacked that special spark the first book had. I enjoyed reading this book and it was very spicy. I just didn’t like this one as much as the first. I enjoyed getting to see more of Emery though. Her character development throughout this novel was incredible to watch unfold. Caine had some development too that was enjoyable to experience as well. Overall I really enjoyed this book. It can be read as a standalone but you would get more from reading the previous novel first.

When I read the blurb I was salivating to read this book. It didn’t disappoint. I started this series with this book and will definitely be going back to read the first. Even though I didn’t start with the first book, it was easy to catch up and only made me want to backtrack and read Hawke. I fell for Caine hard and Emery is a perfect match for him. I will definitely be reading more from Storm in the immediate future. Thank you for a wonderful read.

The Men Of Syn Series might just be one of my all time favorite series. The second book Caine – is definitely a 5 star, if not higher. This book not only has the dark romance aspect I LIVE for. Caine and Emerys chemistry and relationship overall was AMAZING. I can’t wait to read the next books. The Men of Syn and then Syn club – constantly stay at the forefront of my mind. This book I do feel had a more thrilling aspect then the first book did – but nonetheless it added a fantastic element to the story.

Romancing the Tropics is a steamy short read with 2 stories. The 1st story “Tequila Sunset” is a older man, younger woman steamy fling. Cassie is getting over a breakup with her boyfriend and spending time with her best friend at her dad’s house. Things get very steamy quickly when both Cassie and David (Cassie’s best friends dad) get some alone time. The 2nd story “Beneath The Sheets” is about Alex and Sarah, whom are best friends. When Alex breaks up with his girlfriend, he decides to hop on a plane to Australia to see Sarah, whom he loved since high school. Alex and Sarah rekindle their romance when they see each other again. Both stories were very good, and I really enjoyed them.

These two stories were quick reads.

The first story, Tequila Sunset, is a best-friend’s dad story. Cassandra is enjoying a getaway off the Spanish coast after her latest boyfriend dumped her for being “boring”. Her best friend booked the tickets as soon as she heard what happened. The only other person at the house is her best friend’s dad, David. Cassandra has always thought David was hot…but she couldn’t possibly act on it…right?

David is enjoying his vacation home while he tries to overcome the writer’s block that seems to have taken up residence in his mind. His daughter and her friend are also at the house. He finds himself spending some extra time staring at how beautiful Cassandra has grown up to be. When his daughter goes out shopping, and he finds himself alone with Cassandra, it’s the perfect time to see if what he is feeling is mutual. When sparks fly between these two…there is no stopping them!

The second story, Beneath the Sheets, is a rekindling story. Alex is returning home to visit his friend Sarah after she reaches out to him after over 5 years of nothing. He doesn’t know why she upped and disappeared years ago…but he is determined to find out! However, the shy and baggy-clothed Sarah he knew from the past is gone. In her place is a beautiful and confident woman who he finds extremely attractive.

Sarah reaches out to David on a drunken whim (encouraged by a friend, of course). When David shows up not too long after…she knows she needs to tell him the truth. There is more to it than her just walking away after Prom. But, now that David’s back, so are her feelings that she has harbored for years. What happens if they act on their mutual attraction?

Both stories were good and I enjoyed them. They are definitely on the erotic side…so if that’s not your jam then be forewarned. I would definitely read books by this author again!

Caine (Men of Syn #2) by Anise Storm

This is the second book I’ve read by Storm. It’s also the second book in the Men of Syn Series. You’ll meet Emery and Caine.

Emery has always relied on her dad to support her. When he is arrested everything she has is now gone. She goes to Syn looking for a place to stay, but finds her Dom. The quote I chose for Emery is: “It wasn’t too bad. Chad and I made a ton of tips.”

Caine has left D.C. because he is wanted for murdering his father. He didn’t do it although he had evidence of him threatening his father. When he meets Emery he tries not falling for her, but he does. The quote I chose for Caine is: “Keep them right here and I’ll show you exactly how glad I am.”

Highly recommended for Erotica Romance lovers.

Amazing.

I thought I loved Hawke, but goodness Caine takes it to another level! I adored this story so much. It had everything you would want in a suspenseful romance. Emery, a girl high on her throne, gets knocked down because of scandal. Though, she is bound and determined to clear her father’s name. In turn putting her life back in order. Caine walks into her life bringing his own baggage into her chaos or should I say storm. Their love shines through in every aspect. I love the connection and just their interaction with each other. An alpha man and the woman he loves. You could not ask for more! I can not recommend this series more!

Caine is the 2nd book in the Men of Syn series by Anise Storm. It is a great opposites attract contemporary romance novel. I had thoroughly enjoyed ‘Hawke’, the first book in the series and was looking forward to reading more of the men of syn. I can say that I enjoyed this book even more than the first one.
Caine is on the run, suspected of murdering his father. What he doesn’t expect is Emery Wilder, a spoiled princess who has everything given to her by daddy.
When Emery’s world crashes in on her, it is Caine who comes to the rescue, showing a very different character from the one he likes to portray.
I really enjoyed reading Emery and Caine’s story. You couldn’t get two people who are more different, yet they just make sense together.
This story had me gripped from the very beginning and kept me entertained and engaged throughout the whole book. The story is well written and flows very well and you just want to keep on reading more about this couple.
100% recommend.

After reading and loving book one, I had high expectations for this book. I was not disappointed. This book is HOT! It will take you on a thrilling ride that will leave you breathless. This is Caine and Emery’s story. Emery is a high maintenance socialite and Caine is from the wrong side of the tracks. Under normal circumstances, their paths would never have crossed. Fate had a different idea. He’s on the run fir a crime he didn’t commit. Tragedy strikes and leaves Emery penniless. A chance meeting during a thunderstorm starts something that will change them both. When secrets are revealed, as they usually are, can these two forgive to have their happily ever after?

Danger, intrigue and serious erotica. This story is exciting and will have you flipping the pages in record time. I think I loved this book better than the first. Hopefully the author will write book three.

Oh my, is it HOT in here or is this a good book? Book 2 of the Syn series has Caine coming to Colorado to help out at Hawke’s club. He’s in trouble for his father’s death, which he didn’t do. He crosses paths with Emery, Charlotte’s best friend. Her father is in prison for drug trafficking. There’s a whole lot of drama going on, with a lot of action, a few twists and turns, and some spicy moments (18+ please). The author has an excellent way of engaging so that you just can’t put the book down. The characters actually sound like the people you might run into downtown when you go to Denver. It’s been a treat to read this series. I definitely recommend you get out and pick this one up. You’ll like it too.

Caine is the second book in the Men of Syn series by Anise Storm. I’ve read other books by this author and this one is definitely on my favorites list. This is a Romance book that one you start reading you won’t want to put it down until you finish I was lost in the pages and had no clue what was going on around me because I was so caught up in the story I had to know what was going to happen next. I absolutely loved Hawke from the first book but Caine is definitely a hot and sexy as sin man that finds himself on the run to Denver after the murder of his father. Caine is looking to lay low for a while and turns to Hawke for help. Hawke owns a BDSM Night Club and gives him a job. Emery is what one would call a Spoiled Entitled Princess who hasn’t ever had to work a day in her life and has always gotten what she wants. Her world comes to a crashing halt as her father is arrested and all his money and assets are seized. These meet on a dark and stormy night , he takes her to his hotel. These two holy cow! .Can he tame a spoiled princess? Will the secrets destroy what them before they get a chance? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Caine (Men of Syn, #2)Caine by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 2 in the Men of Syn series. Caine is wanted for murder. He runs to his longtime best friend Hawke. Caine needs to find enough evidence to clear his name or make enough money to leave the country. He starts working in Hawke’s members only BDSM club to make some quick cash. What he doesn’t anticipate is the princess that crosses his path. Emery is used to the best of everything, until her father is arrested and all his assets are seized, which includes everything Emery owns except for her car and a couple suitcases of clothes. The first contact between Emery and Caine there is heat.
I love the intensity between Emery and Caine. She can feel his eyes on her even when she can’t lay eyes on him. Even though Caine is a dominant, Emery can’t help but let her bratty side show, even when she knows there will be repercussions. Will the secrets they are hiding from each other be too much for them to overcome or will the feelings they have for each other win? I can’t get enough of the Men of Syn.

Romancing the Tropics (A Tropical Cocktail Romance Boxset) by L.M. Mountford was definitely an interesting romance read for me. While this box set is very short Mr. Mountford knows how to pack the pages with lots of steamy romance. I don’t normally read romances with this much steam, but I found myself incapable of putting Romancing the Tropics (A Tropical Cocktail Romance Boxset) by L.M. Caine by Anise Storm is the second book in the Men of Syn series, this is an utterly fantastic follow up to book one and is quite possibly even better. After reading the description fully expected to not really like this book – spoiled rich girl Main characters aren’t usually my favourite. However the author did such a good job of creating likeable characters that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them.
This whole book felt exciting. I’m glad I read them in order – although this could be read as a stand-alone – because it felt like I got a much better grounding for this book. I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait for book 3!

The Men of Syn are downright sinful for sure. I fell head over heels in love with the series with book one, HAWKE, so when I saw book two was available I scooped it up faster than you could say one-click. These reads hit all the sweet spots for me when it comes to dark and delicious romance that makes me blush as I read but has me coming back for more every single time. Once again in CAINE we are brought back to the BDSM club of SYN to get the story of Caine, a sexy dom on the run and up to no good for sure. I loved his story and couldn’t possibly think he would have gained higher love than Hawke but I was so wrong and he quickly became one of my absolute favorite characters that Anise Storm has written that I have had the pleasure of reading so far. I cannot wait to see what else this series will hold and who we will get to meet and fall in love with next!

Caine is the second book in the Men of Syn series. Caine is a sexy, tattooed and pierced man on the run from a murder charge. Emery is a spoiled society princess who has not had to work a day in her life… until it all comes crashing down on her. Lucky for her, Caine is there to help her out.

I liked this book. There was less BDSM than I expected, considering it is partly set at Syn, but that didn’t detract from it. A few things in the sequence of events seemed a bit odd, but overall it was a good story.

Romancing the Tropics : A Holiday Romance Boxset (A Tropical Cocktail Romance) by L.M. Mountford

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Mountford. This boxset includes two short stories. Mountford has really outdone himself this time.

Sarah had a bad boyfriend. Her best friend is in town. She does a photo shoot. By the end of the night she confesses her feelings. The quote I chose for Sarah is: “Mmm… It takes a bit of getting used to, but it gives one hell of a buzz.”

Alex has had a thing for his best friend Sarah for a while. She left London without a word. He goes to visit hoping to be more than friends. The quote I chose for Alex is: “No, she was… Brilliant. There was no challenge she couldn’t master. Anything she set her mind to, she could do, but she could also be a real ball breaker. She always followed the rules to the letter. Though she’d always denied it, I think a part of her secretly liked my frequent attempts to get us into trouble.”

Highly recommended for Erotica Romance lovers.

Oh, this author – he definitely knows how to get the pulse racing in his sexy short reads! I absolutely love reading his books! They might only be short reads but my gosh he doesn’t miss anything.

Tequila Sunset may be a slight taboo story but I still liked it – got to be honest he was a very attractive and sexy older guy and the passion between them was certainly off the charts! He definitely brought Cass out of herself that’s for sure!! I loved the setting for this story too! Sounded relaxing and idyllic!

Beneath the Sheets was a second chance romance read and I really enjoyed this one too. This story had more of a build-up than the first one so I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing their relationship develop. I loved Alex and Sarah – they definitely had chemistry. They were cute together!

Both stories were brilliant reads and I 100% recommend this box set! As always, I look forward to more from this author again in the future!

I loved Caine and Emery’s story – brilliant from the very first page until the very last, I wasn’t actually sure I was going to like Emery, it did take me a whole to warm up to her but I enjoyed seeing her evolve as the story progressed and seeing how the relationship between her and Caine changed also.

I’ve been excited about this one! I enjoyed reading Hawke, so had high hopes for what came next from Anise Storm and her Men of Syn. We met Emery in the first book, but she wasn’t sitting high and mighty living off Daddy in this one. Fallen princess meets dominant Caine. Trying to lay low, Caine is working to clear his name. What happens when their worlds collide? Steam, possession, love and secrets. I loved the growth in Emery by the end, and dare I say… I loved Caine even more than Hawke!
