I will be completely honest and say that at the start of this book I struggled to fully immersed myself in the story. I think I just needed time to get use to this authors particular writing style. I am glad that I did stick with it and continue to read because I did end up wanting to see where the characters would end up and where lifes journey would take them. There is a definite twist at the end that I so did not see coming and leaves the reader wanting more.

Vaughn’s Xena is the first book in the Dirty Rockhard Billionaire Series and is a Romance that once you start reading there’s no putting it down. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to be looking into what other books they have written. The authors style of writing along with her creative characters that are relatable and fully developed yet raw at times makes for an amazing story. This is Vaughn and Xena’s story. Vaughn is the type of man who likes to be in control and he usually gets what he wants. He’s sexy and charming and is the owner of a chain of nightclubs. He has his eyes on one woman and that’s his little sisters best friend Xena. She is a fierce woman who has a dirty dark secret. Whew these two have serious hot chemistry between them. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Let me tell you! I was fanning myself while reading this book. I mean GOODNESS!!! Xena believes that she is the only crushing hard, when it really was the other way around. So many things happen in this book, and I CANNOT WAIT to know what happens next. So many things came out of nowhere and threw me for a loop which was awesome! 🙂
Vaughan has had his fair share of disappointments and his family environment is not the greatest, although money was no object, Love seems to be the biggest hole in his life. As the oldest child he sheltered his sister Veronica from the arguments and actions of his parents but as he grows older the more he wants that special person, until one night he sees her, and she then becomes his obsession.
Xena is living life, at college and sharing a apartment with her best friend who has been a god send to her, although Ronnie can be a little needy Xena looks after her like a sister, but as Xena goes through college she is plagued by the image of her dreams, the man she fantasies about but she knows there would be no way she would even be in his league let alone even try and instigate anything as he is Ronnie’s brother, until one night at the club and all her dreams are fulfilled but there is only one problem, he is her best friends brother.
This is the first book I have read by this author and the story has the faint feel of other stories which does not deflect from this at all. I must admit though I was ready to give up on the story about 60% in but carry on and as I read on the story got more interesting, I understand that it follows on in book 2 but I was missing some of the facts around Xena’s sister behind her motives and just background on the Ronnie and Xena’s relationship, like the reason behind their nicknames etc, but maybe that will be addressed in book 2.
Although the first half was slow and little wordy in places, I really enjoyed the book and the story was well written, the characters had chemistry on the page and some scenes where hot, hot, hot. I enjoyed the interactions between Xena and Zippy and there wacky relationship. I need to read the next one to see what the outcome is as this book leaves you with a huge cliff hanger and I want to know if anything happens with Finn and Zippy.

I am not sure where to start. I was hoping for a raunchy read even though I am not into all the kinks that are displayed throughout the book. This is my first experience with this author, as well. So I thought, why not. I like a good forbidden romance with a little kink.
I can tell you that it wasn’t the kink or kinks (including erotic humiliation, degradation, edging, light bondage, pubic play, and raw sex) that bothered me. I am not into all the kinks and some got to be a bit much but they did not take away from the story. What took away from the story was the strange dialogue, the excess details and explanation, the overall length of the story, and the almost ending. Let me explain, I will try to keep it brief. There was a lot of dialogue, which normally I love! Some of it was stilted and weird, like not fitting the scene or the character. Some of the dialogue even detracted from the established characters. And, then waiting until like page 400 to let the sister/best friend find out??
Xena is Veronica’s (aka Ron and Ronnie) best friend. For years, Xena has been secretly in love with Ron’s brother, Vaughn. Twist! Vaughn has been secretly lusting after Xena for years as well. Vaughn has finally decided that he has waited long enough and wants to be with Xena. The one thing holding Xena back is Ron’s reaction. Ron and Vaughn didn’t have great parents and only have each other. Xena didn’t want to come between the siblings. Vaughn convinces Xena to pursue a relationship with him but agrees to keep it quiet at Xena’s insistence. Enter a secret bad guy. Ron finds out. She does not take it well. Threats are issues, choices made.
Maybe I missed it but can anyone tell me why Ron calls Xena Jay? I will probably read the second one just to know how it ends. If the bad guy gets what is coming to them. If Vaughn finds out the truth. If Zippy gets Finn. So many questions. Not great but not the worst I have read.

I really liked this book and definitely was not prepared for the unexpected twist!! I am eager to read more from this author – her descriptions jump off the page. The scenes are super spicy, the characters are unique, and I like that it explores an atypical relationship in Xena’s demisexuality. The only thing that seemed ironic to me was that, in her innner narrative, Xena tries not to swear yet she can be so explicit otherwise. I got used to it though as a character quirk. Overall a compelling read and now I must read the next one to find out what happens!
Wow, I had not read anything previously from this author, but that will be changing quickly. This book brought steamy to a whole new level right from the get go. You can feel the attraction between Vaughn and Xena just radiating off of the pages. Not only was this a seriously steamy story, but it was a wonderful romance story that I found myself laughing and then yelling at the characters and then feeling a sense of relief when things would shift again. I absolutely loved her best friend Ron, she was such a great bestie and so hilarious and fun! I loved the interactions between all of the characters and the author did a wonderful job of creating characters that you truly care about. The pacing was well set and definitely ebbed and flowed well. If you are in the mood for an amazing romance with steaminess off the charts, this is the book for you! I can’t wait to read the rest of her work!
New Author? No worries! If you love hot men, steamy uncontrollable, beyond limits Erotica this is a story for you. Vaughn is not just good looking, he is a man of the world. His nightclubs, the women available to him, his little sister’s best friend and so many other avenues can be traveled in this story. Xena knows what she wants and is not afraid to go for it. Her only problem could be that her best friend’s brother should be off limits. But when these two are around each other sparks fly. I won’t tell you more as I would not want to spoil the reading experience for you. So having said that. This author has a way with words. You can actually see in your mind’s eye what she is writing. And if you love Erotica stories you must read this one. Definitely not for those under 18 or those who just don’t care for this type of story. The rest of us will be wanting and waiting for more. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
This book is full of heat and steam right from the word go. There is so much chemistry in this book it carries the whole story with ease. That being said, the book had much more depth and emotion to it than I expected. I enjoyed reading about the main characters. They fit well together and had a really strong connection. This is the first book that I have read by this author but it definitely will not be the last. If this book is an indication to the writing style and great stories I can expect to find then I will be reading as much as I can, starting with the next book in this series!

In order to enjoy this book it has to be your type… extra spicy with a laundry list of triggers. It’s truly not for everyone, and that’s perfectly fine! The ending was completely unexpected and truly caught me off guard. So much so, that I have to read the next book to figure it out.
I don’t even know where to start. This book had a lot of heat. I thought the book was quite long. Did not expect it to end the way that it did. I liked the book mostly. The way Vaughn spoke to Xena sometimes really annoyed me. I get what the author was trying to Do but it seemed a bit much….to much in my opinion. Then the turn of events….wow! I feel like the book could’ve ended like 30 pages sooner. With that being said I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens. I liked most of the characters in the book for Most of the book until the end and saw how some people can really be. Personal feelings aside, the book was well written, there is ALOT of graphic scenes. Usually I dont care but id say out of like 400 pages, at least 350 of it was some sort of BDSM / sexual scenes.
Well, Vaughn’s Xena was one of the smuttiest books I have read in a while. If you like a raunchy, best friend’s brother trope, this one is for you. This story is about a college student named Xena who fantasizes about her roommate’s (and best friend’s) brother, Vaughn. Vaughn is a wealthy, handsome, fit man, but one who is also private and apparently hates women, besides his sister, Ronnie. Vaughn has not been seen with a woman for quite some time and he seems to be super private, Xena knows from the start that her fantasies will stay just that. But, on a weekend break, Xena and Ron go to stay at Ronnie’s mansion and her brother is making the trip too. Xena comes to find out that Vaughn has been pining for her for a very long time. This is the start of their raunchy adventures. Xena, while very happy that Vaughn also wants her, she is worried about Ronnie. Will she be mad at Xena for being with Vaughn? Will the sibling relationship, which is very strong, weaken by this development? These questions haunt Xena so the relationship starts as a secret and we all know that never ends well! Will they be able to all find a way to be happy? I enjoyed this book! I thought that the characters were loveable, but it has to be your cup of tea. Vaughn, well he is just all man, but he is the jealous and possessive, somewhat stalker type. What I love about him though is that the domination mainly revolves around the aspects of sex, in the real world he is always proud of Xena and how she handles business. He is also always showing her how he thought about her in many of the decisions that he made which was sweet. Xena is a quiet, secret sex craze woman, but one that knows what she wants. There are very vivid and explicit sex scenes and degradation – so if that isn’t for you don’t read. It is a story that progresses pretty fast, with feelings -one-day “strangers” and the next they are “in love”. I will say that one thing that really annoyed me, and it is probably just a “me” thing, was that the author said “gosh” a good amount. Now, this word normally doesn’t bother me, but when you are vividly stating what is happening, with all the juicy words that go with it, but then constantly say “gosh” it just throws off the vibe for me. Overall though, it was a pretty good read.
An erotic romance for those that love them. Vaughn has it bad for Xena (his little sister’s college friend). I can’t share anymore or I’ll give away secrets. You’ll have to read it for yourself. It’s a hot story and has a bit of everything in it. The story is good and the characters are well-written. For fans of the erotic, this may be a winner. It’s 1 of 2 books.
This book is absolutely kinky and not for everyone. With that being said, oh my lanta be still my beating heart! This book was very well done bringing healthy kink out to light and some of the other sides to kink. It was written very well and there was absolute depth to the characters that were simply refreshing. Vaughn being single most of his life has set a very high bar, that at times seems hard for any woman to reach. But in comes his little sister’s best friend Xena who blows all of his expectations out of the water by having some secrets to unveil herself. This book was a delight to read and I can’t wait for the next one to come out!

First book by this author and holy hell did I love it! I can’t wait to read the next one! Vaughn is a true alpha male and he loves control! And xena loves it! She’s his sisters best friend! Which is a trope I absolutely love. The spice, steam…HOT. The descriptions and the way the author describes every detail is absolutely amazing. I felt so many feelings while reading this book and that’s what I love. If you can make me feel happy, sad, angry, on edge, turned on…that’s a great book in my opinion. The chemistry between Vaughn and Xena is amazing and I’m so glad I read this book! Huge page Turner for me.
Vaughn’s Xena is the first book in the Dirty Rockhard Billionaire series by M.I. Rosegold. This is the first book that I have read by this author, so I really had no idea about what to expect from one of her stories. But the blurb piqued my interest, so I snapped up a copy to explore. This is an erotic romance with a little sister’s best friend/college/taboo element, a bit of a kinky storyline (BDSM, humiliation, degradation, public play, edging, spanking, bondage, oral s@x, unprotected/raw sex scenes, spit etc), secrets, chemistry, sizzle, angst, and drama. The story held the promise of a captivating read and has all the ingredients that should have made it a 5-star read for me- but unfortunately, I just couldn’t connect with the characters, or their story. I also had trouble settling into the author’s writing style. There were times that I felt quite uncomfortable in the story, and that had nothing to do with the content, as I don’t have any triggers- but felt that mu discomfort was more to do with the way the story was written- it seemed quite choppy at times (for me). I also felt that the dialogue, at times, didn’t fit the characters/scene/or circumstances. And there was a lot of dialogue. And a LOT of information, that at times, seemed surplus to the actual story. Which was quite distracting. I really wanted to love this story so much, but just couldn’t find my groove with it. I can see by other reviews that I seem to be the only one who feels this way….. so don’t let my opinion put you off exploring the story for yourself and making up your own mind. I have decided to revisit this book again in a few weeks to see if I still feel the same way about it as I do now, or maybe I will find my groove next time and discover that I was just having an off reading day this time around. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed reading. This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. I can’t wait for book two. I enjoyed reading this romance story. A story about breaking rules to get what you want. I enjoyed how the characters were able to pull me into the story with ease. I found them to be relatable and steamy. I enjoyed how they brought life to the story as well as hard to put down. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. There is great growth of not only the characters but the plot as well. They have great chemistry which just added to the story for me. I really enjoyed what the characters brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book in the Dirty Rockhard Billionaire series. The author does an amazing job with this story. They descriptions and details that the author puts in really brings the story to live and paints pictures in the readers mind so strong if feels like your there. I always love an Alpha male and Vaughan is definately an Alpha male. His feelings and possessiveness over Xena can sometimes feel a bit much but there is no denying that Xena loves that side of him. She has fantasised about him for a long time but she is completely blown away when fantasy meets reality. The only downside and possible problem is that Xena is Vaughan’s sister’s best friend and that a line he promised not to cross. But can they deny themselves something that feels meant to be? This is a very hot steamy read. It will have you laughing, crying and feeling so many different emotions through the story it will feel like a rollercoaster ride.
4.5 stars Vaughn’s Xena is the first of two books and the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to delving in to more of her work. It is a little sister’s college best friend setting. There are a lot of feels in this story, from laughter to disappointed to frustrated to madness and even some in-between. Vaughn Wolf is our main man and his surname is totally fitting. He knows what he wants and usually gets it. He likes control and likes to be in charge. Xena has a secret that is buried down deep and belies her being a good girl. She knows what she likes, what she needs, what she craves. Now she knows just where she can get it. There is steam, sizzle, and it’s oh so kinky. It is enough to leave you hot under your collar. M.I. is a descriptive writer so it is so easy to conjure up imagines and imagine our MC’s and the journey that they are on. You are only limited by your own imagination. You need to settle in for a spicy time when you read this book. I am going to let you discover it all by yourself. I am waiting for book 2 of the series─ “Xena’s Vaughn” that is coming soon.

I loved this set! I haven’t read many sifter books outside of the normal werewolves and such, so I was super excited about this set after reading the first book. I am so happy that I gave then a read! I defiantly recommend this set to anyone how loves shifter romance books. Día has been on the run for years. She is always watching her back, changing the way she looks, and always always running. She’s been on the run from hunters trying to keep her family safe, but her luck so far has just run out. She gets caught. But not by hunters! She stumbles onto a colony in hiding and they don’t trust outsiders. This bat shifter and witch colony has been through a lot and many of them are sick and dying. They can’t trust anyone and two strangers showing up on the same day worries them. Her fellow captive (the other stranger) just so happens to be an ex-lover who betrayed her years ago and brought the hunters to her family. Kano regrets so much in his life. Not being able to stop the slaughter of Día’s tribe and family being the biggest of all. He can’t believe his eyes when he drug into colony and he sees her alive. He’s been so focused on his journalism and putting the worst of the worst into the lime-light and behind bars. He can’t escape his own guilt and seeing Día brings it all rushing back. Again. When he gets taken by the bat colony he doesn’t know what he is in for. Día plans to run as soon as she can. She can’t be around him and she needs to find her group and make sure that they are okay. I was so surprised by this book! When I first started reading it I forgot that it was about shifters. I haven’t read many “shifter” books outside of the normal werewolves and such, so I LOVED seeing some other animals being brought into the genera. Ember has a big secret and with the Solstice coming up quickly she’s not sure if she can keep that secret much longer. She want to see more people in her café and in turn be reunited with her two sisters. Her café only sees people that are passing through and she hasn’t turned a good profit in years. Cooking for people she never sees twice is lonely and not at all what she wants out of her café. Food brings people together. She wants more out of her life and she wants more for her café. But can she risk it? Austin is the host of a popular Food TV show Back Road Eats. He’s tired of the same old easy dependable American grilling and BBQ. And being on the road more and more is wearing him out. A chef tv host who’s burnt out on food! While on the way to one last round of shows before heading home his RV breaks down in the middle of no where Wyoming. Dreading the extended stay while him and his camera and editing crew wait for a part for the RV, they learn of a Maori restaurant and his interest is piqued! First time reader of author Catherine Peace, and even though I started on this book( which is the third one of the Solstice Quartet series.)I gotta say I’m hooked. I definitely have to go back to the beginning and start from there to get a better understanding of everything. But I wanted to read this one when I first saw the description because of all the supernatural books I have read I’ve never read about bat and swan shapeshifters. The world the author has built was unique and i loooved everything she did. Really creative. I can not wait for the next installment. I highly recommend reading this book. It has everything you’re looking for in an otherworldly book and moree.
Book 3 in this stellar series is Dia’s story and you won’t disappointed. This is one complicated love triangle and so much more (I won’t ruin it… but steamy!) Of 3 people who are completely broken and lost in very different ways they find exactly what they need to heal in eachother. Dia is ambitious strong and perseveres no matter what, but she is so very broken from so much loss and is finally captured after being on the run. Who does she find in captivity? Kano, who’s already betrayed her before. Kano and Dia will need to rely on one another to avoid danger thus start to build a bond, but then, just when things cant get more angsty… Bring in Milo to really complicate things. I won’t reveal anything that will detract from your experience as this truly is a delightful one but be prepared for love, longing, angst, drama, danger, magic, so many secrets and more! This is a well built story with great characters and I look forward to the 4th book.
This is the third book in this series and I wouldn’t say you have to read the previous two books to be able to read this one, however I do believe it is a good idea to read them in order. This book took me on an adventure of shapeshifters, magic, romance, danger, action, and great characters. The author wrote this story with a great deal of detail so it was easy to immerse myself into the story. The characters have been through a lot of heartache in their past that they are trying to overcome to create a better future. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
Dia’s Lure was the first book that I read in the series, but I’ll absolutely be going back to read the first two now. This adventure was amazing! Dia has been trying to keep herself and her family safe, but her tribe ends up being slaughtered. Dia herself is captured and discovers she is being held with her ex-lover, Carver. She is faced with all of the hurtful past again and wants to escape immediately. Carver knows he is far from perfect and has tried his entire life to right his wrongs, but seeing Dia again throws gas on his fire of guilt. Milos is an unexpected third in this triangle, but they all need to rely on each other to survive. Can they do it, or will guilt and distress cause them to make a fatal error?
Catherine Peace is a marvelous author! I cannot believe I’ve never read any of her books before. I’ll be picking up the rest of this series and seeing what other adventures she has to offer. I highly recommend picking up Dia’s Lure!
I read this book not realizing it was book 3 in the series, and honestly that didn’t really matter. I wasn’t as lost as I thought I was going to be. It was like this book had its own little story from the first two. I will be going back and reading the other ones because I really couldn’t put this book down. I absolutely loved the way others imagine and preserve the fantasy part. This romance paranormal book really had it all from romance, love, action, twist and turns, redemption, a little erotic and bat shifter. The chemistry that is in the book between Dia and milo which was unexpected was interesting to know if there will be more to that story. But with Dia mate around but Dia is upset that he could be the reason that her people aren’t around anymore. there’s so much that was going on in this book I couldn’t put it down and really want to know more of what is going on in Dia’s life. The world building in each separate character is amazing and who each one waves into each other’s is just phenomenal, highly recommend this book.

As I have not read the other previous books, I was intrigued by the beautiful cover and decided to read this 3rd book of the series and it is quite good! The writing is descriptive and beautiful. I really loved Dia’s story and trying to not only keep her family safe but also herself after being hunted and the aftermath of her tribe being destroyed. When Dia is eventually captured…she see’s another person as well in captivity…none other than Kano…whom betrayed her long ago……Dia and Kano work together to save each other from danger and also in the mix with Milos as well?
This is a really good read..I love the different type of shifters, love the paranormal aspect and some danger and sizzle. I definitely want to circle back and check out the first two books in the series and looking forward to book 4!
