First of all, this is not for young readers! The author is very specific in letting readers know that this book is for adults. Also, there are many trigger topics throughout this book.
Reuben has been dreaming about a girl for years, when Alice finally shows up she is nothing like he expected. Alice has a history of experiences that have cause her some mental illness issues that make her to spiral into depression. Not only that Alice has a tendency to do whatever it takes to push people away.
At first Reuben doesn’t understand how this woman that he’s been dreaming about could be such a big brat, not his usual preference at all. Slowly but surely, Alice gets under his skin. Reuben also finds some information unexpectedly that makes him realize he might be the only one that can truly help Alice.
The author clearly shows what issues these characters have. The characters are written in a way that we can understand how and why they are the way they are. The book may be uncomfortable for many to read.

This book took me to a world I have no experience in, but now I am very intrigued about. From the descriptions of relationships between Doms and subs, traumatic pasts, hopes and desires, and some karma thrown in, this book had me hooked! I couldn’t help but to identify with Alice and her struggles, and I highly enjoyed getting under the cracks of Reuben’s armor to see who he truly was.

I like finding new authors. This book is the first book from this author that I have read and I was not disappointed. This book is steamy and kept me glued to the pages. I was not wanting to put it down as I wanted to see what would happen. The characters are well written and the subject matter is dealt with in a good manner. I really like to read a nice steamy book once in a while and this fit the bill.

I really could relate to the female lead. The author really builds quite the world and drew me straight in. I really felt as though I was right in the midst of the drama. I will definitely read more from this author in future.

I enjoyed reading this story. This is a steamy romance story that is well written and hard to put down. This is a newer author for me which I can’t wait to see what is next in the future for her. I enjoyed this author’s writing style and attention to details that brought the story to life. The characters are connectable and pull you into their world from the start. This is a fast paced, engaging story that you don’t want to miss. There is great chemistry as well as great growth with them throughout the story. This is a darker story that I truly enjoyed what the characters brought to the story. I enjoyed how they came to life on each page which made the story entertaining to read. This made for such a great afternoon read and I highly recommend it

There are trigger warnings.

Mmmmm. how to rate this book?

Ok first off, Ashes of Sin and Stardust is a dark and delicious BDSM erotic romance. I really enjoyed the story but it was a long haul. I think it could be cut into two books or cut down a bit being too wordy. There are also some parts the author added that I am not sure that fit exactly right for this story, like religion.

Lindsay however did a great job with the BDSM aspect that it will have your heart pumping it is so good. I really liked the characters who Lindsay gave us great back stories but I could have done with a little less of the brattish behaviour. Each has past that was not always good.

Having said all that Ashes of Sin and Stardust is well worth the read.

Holy Cow that was one thousand percent not at all what I was expecting. Here take my heart on this platter as it was ripped to shreds while reading this wonderfully written story . I laughed, I cried, I was hurt and angry but man what a emotionally charged story that I absolutely loved reading and hated putting it down. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely going to check out what other books they have written. There are a few parts where it might be a trigger for some but if you can push through it’s worth it. This an emotional rollercoaster ride about Rueben and Alice. Rueben has spent most of his life searching for a woman his perfect sub. He will know its her when he sees except when he finds her she nothing like what he envisioned. She’s a smart mouth and bratty at times but had a rough upbringing and not so good luck with men. Can she trust Rueben? Can he trust her? Can these two be who the other needs them to be? Get ready for a bumpy yet highly emotional ride with these. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next and im looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Dark, emotional, traumatic romance. This book will draw in readers that like BDSM, please not there is also mental health, child abuse, suicide, physical violence triggers.

Alice has a tendency to push people away, say things to ruin relationships just to keep everyone and arms length. She struggles with borderline personality disorder, makes questionable decisions and fights her inner demons. She is hesitant to let anyone in, especially another Dom.

Reuben also has his own struggles and an ugly past that he tries to hide under is hard wall of cockiness and confidence. Reuben is hard core into BDSM and has been dreaming of his perfect girl for years, but the one thing he cannot stand is a brat.

These two worlds collide in this beautifully written raw romance. They way Reuben helps Alice through her episodes and struggles is really beautiful, the patience and the way he talks to her is amazing. If you are looking for smut, kink, BDSM and romance this book is for you. I loved all 1139 pages of this story.

Trigger warning – please check the note by the author before reading. For those over the age of 18.
This is a well-written romance. The steam rises; there is a bit of BDSM and erotic romance. Reuben has been dreaming of Alicia for 24 years. Now that he’s found her, he wants this to work. You can feel the struggle as they work for this. The characters are well-defined. The plot and topics are well researched. Though an uncomfortable read at times, the topics do need to be brought up as they are part of the story. This was a very good story that needed to be told. I do recommend it.

This is a dark and intense story that I have to say surprised me. There are a lot of triggers in this book, so if you watch out for that then definitely read this boom cautiously – but so read it. The connection between these two characters was so strong and real that it easily carries the whole book. You believe in their connection and their journey.
I think the author does an amazing job with the way she tackles mental health. It is the perfect portrayal while still keeping the story momentum. This was an amazing book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This book really brought everything to the table. I could not get enough at all of everything this story gave to me as I read. Deep character depth, darkness at times, as well as light. The characters were very easy to connect and level with Each had a depth of light and darkness to them, I could not put this down!

Ruben and Alice were such great characters! I loved their character depth. I loved their moments together. Both different but so very well connected in more than one way. I enjoyed learning who they were, especially what their pasts held for them! There was trauma endured, and that made these characters so much more realistic. I loved how the author did the writing with BDSM. She nailed it! I could not have expected better, the author for sure knew what was linked to BDSM and played it perfectly into the story and characters. The story was complex, vivid, and very deep with emptions at times. It heavy at moments as well. I could not have asked for a better read! It was amazing! Loved it all the way through!

This book was such an amazing and good read! I could not put it down or get enough from what I read. Highly recommend this must read book. its a rate gem, and not one to be passed up for any means!

The Fighter (An Underground Bad Boys Romance #3) by India Kells

Another great read by the author. The Fighter is Gage’s story and he finally gets his chance. This is the third book in the An Underground Boys Romance Series.

Gage is finally moving on. He’s moved closer to the beach and is now lost on what to do. He finds himself with two people, but can he be let down again? The quote I chose for Gage is: “I’m bisexual. Always have been. But I haven’t always been at peace with it either, so I don’t know what advice to give you. Listen. You’d better go now. I’m too tired to play shrink right now. You look like a great guy, but to be honest, apart from a good f***, I’d rather steer clear of complicated relationships, male or female. And I’m guessing you’re not ready for a quick romp. So good luck and good night.”

Ten is conflicted about what he wants. His best friend or the guy who is teaching him to fight. He isn’t sure what to do and he wants them both. Can he have them both? The quote I chose for Ten is: “No, no. It’s just that’s the first time a guy has done that to me. Seeing you on your knees, doing all those things, just made everything so intense. It shook me to the core. But I want to do it again. I want to do it to you.”

Juliet has always been attracted to Ten. He’s always been there for her. Then you throw in Gage and now she’s confused. What will she do? The quote I chose for Juliet is: “I’ve been attracted to you for a long time. I know you’re exploring things with Gage, but I thought it would be a good idea to give you a comparison, so to speak.”

Highly recommended for Erotica Romance lovers.

The Traitor (An Underground Bad Boys Romance #2) by India Kells

Another fantastic read by the author. She’s done it once again and leaves me wanting more. The Traitor is the second book in the An Underground Boys Series.

Spencer aka Knox is the oldest of the friends. We met Locke and now it’s Knox’s turn. He moves away to get away from his past, but it doesn’t stay behind him for long. The quote I chose for Knox is: “I said I wouldn’t touch you. Well, unless you want me to. You have my word. That’s not what my offer is about. That kiss was a mistake. You’re way too young, and it was way too inappropriate.”

Josie is working hard to pay off her ex husband’s debt. She’s working more than one job and it’s taking a toll on her. When she’s offered something so great she can’t turn it down. The quote I chose for Josie is: “Josie Baird. Thank you for offering me this chance. You and Georgia . I won’t let you down. I can assure you I’m an honest and hard worker.”

Highly recommended for Erotica Romance Lovers.

This is not the first book I’ve read by the author. She does it once again and leaves you captivated. The Debt Collector will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat. This is the first book in the An Underground Bad Boys Romance Series.

Tessa is a doctor who spends too much time working. She helps out a girl who has gotten into some trouble. Now she’s the one in trouble and her debt collector is the only one to help her out. When things are done and over with everything things change. The quote I chose for Tessa is: “No! I’m done playing games. There are too many gray areas in our lives as there is. If you want something, ask for it.”

Thomas aka Locke is doing things that constantly are putting himself in danger. Then he sees the doctor that saved him in the one place he didn’t expect. The quote I chose for Locke is: “Everything that happens here is your choice apart from the rules. I’ve never forced myself on a woman. Neither has Gage. I want you to feel safe here and free to do what you want.”

Highly recommended for Erotica Romance lovers.

18 AND OLDER!!!

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. The author knows how to get a reader’s attention and keep it. Still Taking Chances is a great read.

Elgin is back in town after 15 years. When he gets to the house he hasn’t been to in several years he sees someone in the yard. He soon learns her secret and is intrigued. The quote I chose for Elgin is: “The name is Hud, and, no, Mistress, I won’t touch you without permission.”

Mary Beth is shocked when she is told to get away from the house. She doesn’t think anyone will find out what she has hidden for the last five years. She learns that maybe she can help him out. The quote I chose for Mary Beth is: “I find that hard to believe. If you were going to spend your vacation time in Willowbrook, you would have been back to see your grandmother before now.”

Caine (Men of Syn, #2)Caine by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caine Stephens is a man wanted for the murder of his father Arthur Carmichael in the Washington, DC area. On the tip of a friend, Caine leaves the DC area quickly one night and travels to see his friend, Hawke, who owns the Syn BDSM club in Denver. Trying to stay off of everyone’s radar, Caine rents a rundown hotel room with cash. And Hawke supplies him with a job as part of the security detail at Syn.

After his first night at the club, Caine stops on his way home to help a stranded motorist. Much to his intense dislike, it is Emery Wilder, Hawke’s submissive’s best friend. Emery had led a life of luxury until her father is taken to jail on money laundering and drug trafficking charges. Then his accounts are frozen which includes all of her accounts and the penthouse that she lives in. As Caine gives her a lift, he realizes that a hole she is in and now her car isn’t running anymore. He offers her a place to stay with him because she has no one else to turn to.

Even though the two are working through troubles that are related, neither of them realizes how connected their paths really are. During their time together, Caine and Emery fall in love with one another. Can they work through their troubles and still end up together or will their pasts collide in a way that they cannot stay together?

This story is truly an amazing tale of how two truly different people can end up falling in love.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For anyone who likes this sort of genre with two very fast-paced short stories, this is a definite must to read. Two back-to-back stories that are completely unrelated. LM Mountford knows how to put a lot of sexy details in a short story and make the reader wish for more.
The first story: Tequila Sunset is about a girl’s best friend and her father. Cassandra has been told she is boring, she is feeling more than inadequate, and is spending some much-needed time in the pool with her best friend Stacey. Stacey’s father, David, is there and -after his divorce- has been noticing Cassandra the same way that she is noticing him. Cue fantasy.
The second story: Beneath the Sheets is a short, romantic story about two lifelong friends who have lost touch. Sarah reaches out to Alex after years apart and he jumps on the first flight to her – no questions asked. Their romance picks up right where it left off all those years ago and makes for a wonderfully sweet and exciting read.

Caine (Men of Syn, #2)Caine by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed getting to know Caine and how he fit into Hawke’s life. We got snippets of Hawke’s and Caine’s relationship in book 1, but here Caine stands front and center. Caine is on the run from his past, looking to lay low while he gets his life back on track. Of course nothing goes to plan when Emery comes into the picture.

In Hawke I liked Emery and the friendship and support she gave to Charlotte, but in the beginning of Caine I could not stand her as a character. She just a stuck up girl, and then became all woe is me after her life turned upside down when her father was arrested and their assets frozen. Her character certainly grew in what seemed like a fairly short period of time, partially forced by Caine. By the end of the book I was rooting for her to continue using her new found inner strength.

This book is filled with sex, sex, sex. And who doesn’t love a darker romance where one of the characters has certain fun piercings? I did enjoy the sexiness between Caine and Emery. We get to the Dom/sub dynamic fairly early on but we also get to see the relationship grown and mature between them. I actually found the terms Dominant and submissive being used frequently by the characters but I didn’t find a whole lot of D/s instances in this book compared to book 1.

I understand that you want continuity between your books, but one problem I had with book 1, and continue to have with book 2, is that the books are written in second person. I think the author was much more aware of who the narrator was for each chapter and there was less jumping around as to whose thought pattern we were supposed to be following, but IMO it would have been so much clearer, and been more enjoyable as a reader, to have the series told from first person POV and switch between the two main characters.

L.M. Mountford lives up to his moniker of “Lord of Lust” in this one!

Two quick read sexy short stories featuring tropical locations and how dirty the pairings can get in each location. These two stories will each leave you fanning yourself or going in search of a way to alleviate that tension.

I enjoyed that the tropes used were not duplicative between the stories. These stories are not for the faint of heart or those looking for a wholesome romance. These are stories about the passion and lust which exists between two parties and how hard and fast they can come together to explosive results. HEA’s are dubious at best here. This bundle certainly leaves me wanting to search out more of Mountford’s lustful works.

Further breakdown of each story as follows:

Tequila Sunset
A true Age Gap, Forbidden Romance based short story. A broken hearted young woman faces her attraction to her best friend’s father, and a recently divorced, writer’s blocked author, confronts his new longing for the forbidden fruit. This one plays up the taboo aspect by stating that David (a.k.a. Mr Street) remembered Cassandra playing with dolls along with his daughter while growing up, and having the nickname ‘Cass’ that he uses when acting in that more familiar role. As I don’t have a problem with age gap romances and tend to enjoy a little forbidden romance I really enjoyed this story. Tequila Sunset is well paced and has a good build up leading to the smut within.

Content Warning: an*l, sneaking around, talk of cheating

Beneath the sheets
I really enjoyed this story, getting to know about the past and rekindling of a high school friendship. The sexual tension is well built upon, and doesn’t feel like it’s the sole focus of the story, but rather an aspect of this relationship growing. This story reads more like the beginning of something that could grow into a story of it’ own, but its a sexy and sensual beginning to Alex and Sarah’s adult relationship nonetheless.

This book pulled me in right from the beginning. I love this series and was looking forward to book #2. Caine is on the run, that is until he can prove his innocence after the death of his father. He heads to his friend Hawke’s for safety and to get some extra money saved up.

Caine and Emery first meet at the BDSM club SYN. Emery has a shocker when she loses everything after her father is arrested, she finds herself broke down on a rainy night. Fate steps in and Caine comes along to help her. From here we get some very hot and steamy scenes.
As these two get to know each other there is another twist that really adds another great element to the story.

Overall this was a thrilling and hot and steamy read. I really loved the characters and the bantering was great. The author does a great job with her writing and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. 1-click and get started on this series today.

Emery Wilder is a society princess. She has never had to work a day in her life. Her father pays for her penthouse apartment, her car, and provides a monthly allowance for her to live. Emery has never wanted for anything. Until the day her father is arrested for money laundering and drug trafficking and his assets frozen, Emery never understood the value of money.

Caine Stephens never knew his father and his mother’s death when he was five thrust him into the foster care system. Caine had to learn to survive by his own wits. A recent revelation of his parentage has upset his world. Now he is on the run from murder charges, needing a safe place to crash while he clears his name, Caine turns to his best friend Hawks. Hawks owns the club Syn where Caine starts working as security and runs into Emery.

As Emery’s world comes crashing down around her, something as simple as car trouble sets Caine’s protective instincts off. Can his controlling and protective instincts help put Emery back on her feet? Will Caine’s past catch up to both?

Where can I get me a Caine? From the growling voice to the tattoos and other decorations, everything about this man makes a girl sit up and listen. This was a thrilling addition to the Men of Syn series. Not as much drama and suspense as the first one, but still kept you interested. I think that Emery and Caine finding each other allowed Emery to transform from spoiled, rich girl into more. I hope that this series can continue with Chad or Bruce or Ayden.

She has lived a privileged life with her father maintaining everything for her. Suddenly, her father gets in trouble, and she has to figure things out quickly – in fact it’s pretty bad. I was kind of caught off guard with just how bad. You def sit up and get worried about this girl who really doesn’t know how to take care of herself. The book takes off from page one and it doesn’t let you go. I love the action. I love the romance. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like being in Emery’s head, but she is a caring person even though she grew up privileged. Hawke and Caine’s childhoods will break your heart. Really delves into the ugly.
