Such a good read. For the first book of this series it was jam packed with action, drama and all the magical elements you would expect with nightmares! It was worth every minute I spent reading! I can’t wait to start the next book!

I enjoyed Journeys Through Timespace as much as I enjoyed book 1. This being not my typical genre, I was worried going outside of my comfort zone. I’m still glad I did. I really enjoy the back stories of the characters; it helps you understand and feel like you personally know them. The way the Journeys Through series is written is unique. I don’t think I have read anything quite like this. There are still a lot of characters, but James Talisman makes it easy to keep who is who straight. I love how book 2 advances the story of the characters. I’m excited for the rest of the series to be released.

Oh my goodness!!! Such a great book. I am very particular about the YA books I read and I just absolutely loved this book. It reeled me in and kept me hooked until the very last page. I loved the premise of Alex and the nightmares. It is written so well that when you read about Alex and her need for a family you feel it to. The way she wants to bond with her grandmother you want it to. I just LOVED this book and I definitely plan on reading the whole series.

Journeys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman is the first installment in James’s Journeys Through series.
As a reader who does not often read sci-fi, I, actually, really enjoyed this book. Although there are quite a few characters and different points of view to follow at the beginning and it is a bit confusing, I enjoyed the character building and how it kept my attention and, in the end, all came together. The story had a very interesting plot and I enjoyed how the author brought all the characters together.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it. I cannot wait to read the second installment Journeys Through TimeSpace.

This is a great follow-up to Journeys through SpaceTime. Talisman’s level of detail, and ability to make connections in these works is incredible. It must have taken him so long to map this work out! Sci-Fi lovers will revel in the twists and turns this book takes, and the painstakingly drawn characters we get to know. With such a large cast of characters, I don’t know how he manages to create such distinct voices.
I think I enjoyed this 2nd book even more than Book 1. It took me awhile to get my head around the multitude of characters, themes, and overlaps in the first one. This time ’round, I had an *idea* what to expect, and I could sit back and enjoy it more. Well done!

Journeys Through Time Space (Journeys Through Book 2) by James Talisman 4 Stars
This book picked up where the first ended. The special trio has to save the world but before they can do that, there is still training to be done. Travelling to Nepal, they trek on foot to a hidden place deep in a valley. It is a place of higher learning and some may call magic. Continuing their education in the All That Is, they learn that they can do incredible things. To gather the pieces they need to save the world, they must travel through time. Their adventures are fraught with danger and perilous tasks. With evil lurking on the horizon, can Michael, Julie and Dan accomplish their goals to save all of mankind?
I enjoyed this book better than the first. There were less characters therefore the author was able to concentrate more on the story. The story is interesting and unique. Fans of sci/fi and Dr. Who will love this book. I do recommend that you read the first part to fully comprehend this book.

I had a hard time reading this story because of the jump between characters, however this is just a personal preference. The details that the author included with each character’s story was amazing, and therefore I still gave this book 5 stars. I really loved the characters Queen Neferities and Thoran. However, I was able to predict how things were going to turn out with them and her brother. I can’t wait to read the 2nd story, because I am also eager to see what happens with Matt, Julia, and Dan’s story.

This was the first book I’ve read by this author and I can honestly say that I had no problem following along given that it’s the fourth book in the series.
I loved these characters; I was intrigued from the very start. I had so many questions as the story went on and I loved how everything playing out. I enjoyed all of the detail that the author wrote with, it made it incredibly easy to picture everything playing out in my mind. I also enjoyed how original the story line was, it was truly one of a kind!
This is a series that I really look forward to starting from the beginning and one I would recommend to others.

Seriously freaking good!!! I was hooked literally by the character introductions! I can not express words enough how good this was. It was like a good piece of cheese cake that just got better the more you ate it, or in this case as you read it. I didn’t expect the book to unfold how it did. It was different and really good. It went on a path I didn’t see forth, it was original and I seriously feel in love with the author’s writing style!
In the beginning we are introduced to two characters whom go by the names of Zoey and Alex. Its a sad introduction as they just lost their mother and their doing her funeral, and you can tell the deep impact this has on the two of them. I found Alex really had the most feelings, even if it seemed invisible or not there. Alex was more of the sister who could feel everything and try to maintain it. Because basically, that’s what you are suppose to do in hard times, smile and put your best foot forward.
Upon their mother’s death the sisters move to live in their home of their grandmother. She was a character I had a million questions about based on first meet. Something seemed off. She struck me as a mysterious person, but with more secrets than the first introduction was giving me. I wanted to know more , but I knew I barely scratched the depth of this book and needed to read on…so I did.
What struck me right away as something was off about the grandmother or the house, (also must note loved the description and fine details of the house the author gave) as Alex was a rare soul where she never had nightmares her entire life! That was until she started sleeping in her grandmother’s home. That struck me as something like a dark storm cloud was looming, but what it was, was yet for me to find out.
Alex talks about her emotions and feeling through out this book. I did not realize it as first, but it to me in my brain, ended up being a high importance as the story continued on. Alex had a gift , but little did she when everything first took part, had no idea it was, as well as myself. Alex is very caring of Zoey, it reminded me of what I do for my little brother keeping him safe. It made Alex a more heart felt character though she already was. Things progress as Alex as well as Zoey get used to their new life. Their home was their new life. They tried hard to fit in with their grandmother as well I dare to say the grandmother’s rather odd boarding mate. Perhaps secrets lie deep within these walls and souls of this house?
Things really take off rather quick from there, strange things happen that a normal reality can not comprehend or explain. I found it mad e Alex feel she was losing her mind from the grief and she was not sure what was a nightmare and what was real. More things come to light, that suspicions of the house and its inhabitants are brought to light. Alex was destined for something far greater than anyone could have prepared her for. Things get scary and odd, and she learns why things happened and happened. Was she ready for all this though? It didn’t matter. It was her time now and she had to go forward and face what comes forth from the path that was always made for her. Trust was to be the hardest thing to be and forever for her though, the people she trusted within were not allies, and enemies were they really the bad ones? The main question is though, can Alex fulfill what she is meant for?
I finished this book in no time. I was hooked and completely engulfed by the characters, the plot, and the secrets and wonders of the book. I simply loved it. It was a great read and full of suspense that made me yearn for more and want to know what would happen next as I read on. I loved the story alone, but Alex as she adventured into things she questioned and things happened all made this story so gripping!
This book was a really a unexpected joy to read. I knew it would be a book i would enjoy to read, but I honestly had no idea how good the writing technique would be and the style and the powers of the authors words would have on me. I honestly can not wait to read the next one. I have a great yearn to find out what will happen next. Seriously read this and find out what night mares are really made of and not just your dreams, your own reality, but also the darkest corners of your mind! Phenomenal read!

This is a great novel, that I look forward to continuing in Book 2! At the start, I found myself wanting to hurry along the plot to get to all the shrouded action that I knew was coming, but fortunately I was patient (ish). Matilda and Kacper are suitably weird and definitely less than welcoming to Alex and Zoey after they are left orphans. This family definitely has some strange skeletons in the closet, and Alex is determined to bring them out to light. When she gets in over her head, can her newfound friend Nick help? I really liked the characters and the action, lots of exciting elements to keep you wanting more.

Sweet Nightmares is an interesting start to a new series filled with magic. After the death of their mother, two sisters must now face life with an estranged grandmother and her mysterious assistant. If that isn’t hard enough, some pretty weird things start happening as well, and they uncover certain truths. I enjoyed the way the author created the world and different tensions and conflicts that were interwoven throughout the story. I’m curious to see where the sequel will take us next.

Journey Through Time Space by James Talisman is another amazing book! This one is soooo much better than the first one and I did not think it was possible. The characters are so well developed which makes it possible to fall in love with the characters and to truly feel their plights and journeys. I so appreciated the metaphysical journey each character went through but especially Julia and Matt. I highlighted several passages as they rang with much truth that spoke to my soul. The Seat-of-Power described so perfectly the energy that one can harness and use for the best of intentions. “There are seven important principles that embody all of creation. These powerful truths are available to be learned and used by anyone.” Powerful statement! I found myself reading the truths and comparing my journey as to where I am in my journey and what to look forward to. Can I just say that reading the book has expanded my own discovery of self and the magic and power within me? We are truly all connected through time and space. I loved that this book picked up right from the ending of the first in the book and I was absolutely amazed at the ending (no spoilers here). Do yourself a favor and read this book! I have read other books on spiritual journeys, metaphysical ideas, and the outer connectedness that we all are a part of, but this book really delves into al these topics but within a superb story that makes it understandable and provides the desire within to delve deeper into myself and my powers. Read this book! Set your intentions, connect to the source of All-That-Is, and tap into your Higher Self for guidance, love, and the magic which resides in all of us. The power is within you.

The second installment by James Talisman is a fantasy masterpiece. It starts you off in the middle of the action where the first book ended and keeps you yearning for more. It draws you in to want to keep reading just to find out what happens next. It continues following the journey of the three young college students who were destined to find each other and complete this journey to discover their higher destiny. Will they be able to master their gifts and complete their predetermined destiny? On the opposite side is a secret group that serves master Hades and yet for some reason in this book his followers are not able to communicate with him. But then a new character comes into play that serves to take Hades’ place. In this new storytelling of good versus evil who will prevail? Will this new character bring success or destruction? I am not usually a science fiction fan but the character development and story telling in this book drew me in right from page 1. I just had to keep reading to find out what happens next and if you’re interested in a new read then I encourage you to take this journey too.

This is Book #2 in the “Journeys Through TimeSpace” series. It would be extremely helpful to read Book #1 to establish the identities and backstories of the characters in this book, b/c Book #2 picks up right where Book #1 left off. Matt, Julia, and Dan are young people recruited to the Lighthouse Collective, for whom Matt’s parents also work. Matt is suspected to have great potential, with the correct training, which he will receive in Nepal. So the threesome set out for Nepal. Matt’s parents are involved in the effort to protect the Earth from possible invasion by others in the Multiverse. We also are re-introduced the Disciples of Hades and their member, Thomas Halloway IV, and the reptilian humanoids from elsewhere in the Multiverse. Will the groups make strange bedfellows to defend the Earth from the alien invaders? Will Matt learn enough in time to save the Earth? Read it and see. I’ll rate it three stars, b/c the sex scenes are a bit graphic for me and some of the language used by the author doesn’t seem to match the situation, eg feeling informal when it should be more formal for the scene. If you like imaginative world building, or if you like the “Back to the Future” movie series, you may like this story.

James Talisman took this non Sci/fi reader with his first book and turned her into a fan. He further developed that with yet another fantastic, creative adventure in Journeys Through TimeSpace. This author is a truly creative and talented writer who makes you feel apart of the journey taken in the book, each and every step of the way. I have tried to write this review multiple times today, not because I disliked the book, truthfully I love it but because each time I felt like I was giving too much of the story away. I was just raving on way too much! So instead I will just say, if you love creative writing with wonderful characters, vivid worlds, action, time travelling and of course a multiverse then get reading this book NOW!!!! seriously get reading NOW!!!!

‘Journeys Through SpaceTime’ by James Talisman marks the first entry of his ‘Journeys Through…’ series and follows six protagonists across different realms in the MultiVerse as they’re all suddenly called to action by a mysterious force against an all-encompassing evil. Talisman’s passion bleeds through the pages- there is evident love channelled into each and every one of his characters, themes and particularly, worlds. The world-building in ‘Journeys Through Spacetime’ is by far its greatest strength. As the book takes place across the literal MultiVerse, there is a tall-order on the author to ensure that the logic of their universes are consistent and to craft worlds that stretch the limits of human imagination, given that essentially anything is possible. Talisman, however, does not fail to deliver in this department- each of the realms that the six protagonists hail from are unique with different social structures and norms and are interesting and engaging to read about. There is just enough familiarity to these worlds for readers not to feel out of their depth or lost but not too much so as to quash the distinct spark that each of them has and to lose the audience’s interest. Since the book juggles multiple, it was always a treat to plunge to each of these realms- each chapter or segment serving as a nugget into the life and times of the outlined societies and their inhabitants.
Talisman also uses the book as a vehicle to disseminate ancient, esoteric wisdoms and traditions. It is shaded with considerable philosophical nuance and blended with deep, thought-provoking concepts of the collective and connected consciousness and ideas of one within many. It is clear that Talisman has taken a great deal of care into researching these notions- notions that are woven into the story’s fabric seamlessly and in a manner that isn’t jarring or doesn’t take the reader out of the story. Drawing wisdoms and customs from multiple sources, Talisman has truly designed something one-of-a-kind as building blocks to construct an unparalleled, extraordinary story that has all the strangeness, bizarreness and ingenuity one would expect of a tale spanning the MultiVerse.
Trying to write a good protagonist is no easy feat, let alone six, and yet Talisman manages to do this also. Like the worlds they come from, each of the main characters are different and distinct with their own histories, motives and personalities. There is no weak link in the colourful cast- you never feel cheated when you switch and suddenly begin to follow another because they’re all fascinating in their own right. The hero’s journey is hard enough to properly do once, but it somehow is written multiple times in relation to each of the protagonists in a way that doesn’t feel repetitive or stale. You feel the emotions along with the characters- riding their highs and successes and slumming it with them as they hit their lows and failures.
In conclusion, if you’re in the mood for compelling characters all connected by a single thread as they’re dragged into an adventure spanning space and time, then ‘Journeys Through SpaceTime’ is the book for you.

Journeys through TimeSpace in a fantastic second installment to this series. Talisman’s writing is so detailed, realistic, and well written that you can imagine yourself there with the characters. There’s not only growth for the characters in the series, but for the author’s writing as well. The storylines are cohesive and create a great plot. I recommend this series to anyone that enjoys being taken on an adventure through reading!

Journeys Through TimeSpace by James Talisman was an exciting read as we follow Matthew, Julia, and Dan, in their attempt to save the world. I enjoyed this second book much more than I did the first. It was evident that James found the writing style that fit this book. I enjoyed following the different adventures between Matt, Julia, and Dan and their growth to learn their new abilities. I found that much of the book revolved around these three and their travels, I wish there was more character development in some of the other key players. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys scifi as well as mystery and adventure. I also recommend reading the first book to find out who the characters are and their importance.

I read this book in less than a day. I absolutely loved it and couldn’t put it down. The sister dynamic between Alex and Zoey was very realistic and very sweet. Though I wasn’t surprised about who the villian was, it was well written. This was an excellent, clean, easy read that I truly enjoyed. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Suspenseful and entertaining book! I really enjoyed the twists and turns Sweet Nightmares had to offer. From the experiences of not knowing parents, to losing parents, moving to live with strangers who are family, and trying to make new friends in a new town, this story has it all! Some aspects I was not completely surprised but the way Ms. Pace weaves the story together was done in a great way. I never lost interest in the story and spent every available minute reading it. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Sweet Nightmares (The Dream World Chronicles Book 1) by Chynna Pace – Review by Allyson Ware
Three words: can’t. put. down. From the first sentence of Sweet Nightmares, book one of the captivating Dream World Chronicles, you are pulled into the world of Alex and Zoey. After the first chapter, it is nearly impossible to stop. A true tale of sisters, complete opposites, Alex wears her heart on her sleeve and Zoey finds her emotions in painting. Grief ripples through them as they move to their grandmother’s home and find true meaning of the prophecy. You feel immersed in the emotions and thoughts of Alex as she finds her way in her new reality, one she thought she could only find in a novel. She finds that trusting people is not always as easy as it seems, and she quickly realizes she pours her heart out to the wrong person.
I found myself at the end of the book in no time, realizing I would have to wait to find out what happens next. I will impatiently stand by for Chynna Pace’s next book in The Dream World Chronicles.

So tis a shock going from reading steamy and spicy books to a YA. Anyway onto the actual review. I liked the first book in the series, as it is the first I feel like it has so much more potential. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. There was times where it got a little slow and dragged a tiny tad, but overall it’s a good start to the series and I will be interested in reading more.

Her Dark Love is the fourth book in the Dark Spell series (formerly The Blackened Series) by Isra Sravenheart. This book takes us back to the beginning of Isra’s story as we find out what set her on the dark path that we met her on. Quite a lot has happened in the series and this book certainly helps to fill in a lot of backstory and answer a lot of questions. But things aren’t always as they seem. Again, this addition to the series is quite original- with the dark fairytale feel to it that I have come to expect from Isra Sravenheart. And as I have mentioned previously, this book/series stands apart from other ‘fairytale’ type stories in that it is all about the so-called ‘villain’. Another captivating fantasy with witches, magic, romance, betrayal, heartache, spells, drama, friendship, and more. Looking forward to seeing where we go from here.

This book took me roughly 2 weeks to read and I really did enjoy the overall story and diverse worlds and characters portrayed. The MultiVerse in this book encompassed stories from some interesting and very diverse worlds including but not limited to reptilian humanoids set on destruction, unlikely human heroes and celestial beings with concepts based on real physics and ideology w/ the fantastic twist we all love from a good sci-fi novel.
I found the characters to be sincerely likeable and relatable which is a feat seeing as most of the worlds are very diverse from our own reality. Strangely enough, the characters I had the hardest time getting behind and liking were the Earth characters. They seemed too formal and rigid for modern day college kids. The relationship between Matt and Julia (how many times can two people say the word ‘babe’ – too many!) just seemed overly formal and forced.
I enjoyed how the many worlds and scenarios all connect on some level and the ending was a good one, which is really important to me. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and expect I’ll enjoy that one just as much. Really interested to see how it all shakes out and what the culmination of the myriad of stories will look like.
I’d rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. The stories were great, it’s just the rigid Earthlings that threw it off a little for me. I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for a good quick sci-fi read that’s multifaceted and complex but still allows for easy and enjoyable reading. I would recommend getting to know the characters a bit ahead of time. The author does a great job of providing lists of the worlds and characters at the beginning of the book which is super helpful because it can get confusing if you just jump right in without a good overview of what it is you’re diving into.

This is the first book in this series and what a great start it is. This is a young adult story that I enjoyed and look forward to reading the next book. This is a well written fantasy story where sleeping is dangerous. Alex and her sister lose their mother and have to move in with a grandmother they hardly know. She also has a roommate that is really odd. As things move on, things get stranger and stranger. A place where nightmares are dangerous and full of magic and fantasy. What will happen when Alex realizes that her family may not be who she thought and how important is destiny to her. They are great characters that bring the story to life. They are connectable and made the story fun and easy to read. I found this to be a fast paced story that was entertaining and engaging. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

I’ve read previous books by this same author in this series and I’m happy to have a backstory on Lady Isra. Through reading this one, I hate the turn it takes as these characters become enthralled in a love triangle like no other. The drama is intense and worth reading about but as the light and dark squabble over Isra, it becomes more intensifying than we thought. The fact that this sends you on a plane with her, you’ll feel shuffled but this story needs to be told if you’re invested as I was through the series. I don’t want to give it away but I’m sure you’re gonna see what I mean.

Will they be able to crush the plans and save the world as we know it? you will have to find out.
This is the second book in this series and does not disappoint, this books picks straight from the first book and looks at trying to stop the plans which are due to take place. Each earth student needs to go to their different realms to try and help to save the multi realities. Can they stop the plans and be successful in their journeys, you will have to read to find out.
This story is full of thrilling and twists and will have you drawn in from the first words on the page. I would recommend reading the first book as there is a lot information which if you are coming into fresh into this book may have you a tough time following but stay with them as it is a brilliant ride in your imagination.
This is not my usual genre to read but the author has built a world of pure imagination and what ifs that has you engaged from the beginning, I have to say as in the first book there is a lot of information to digest but this only enhances the story and the characters within the story.
Can’t wait to read more.

This book picks up where book 1 left off. I usually don’t say this very often, but book 2 was better than the first one! Getting to understand our main characters and see more of their backstories gives them more depth. I had so much fun seeing James’s version of Atlantis, and going through time was a fun experience! A lot of things were happening but you can easily follow along and not get confused. I can’t wait to see what journey he takes us on next!!
