Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) is the first installment to this Sci/Fi/ fantasy story. Mr. Talisman gives us a complex and detailed story with lots of characters to keep track of. This story has everything that a reader could ask for including action, hidden agendas, politics, adventure, and danger. There’s so much in this story that you find yourself flipping the pages eagerly to find out what happens next. Since this is the first installment to this series there are a lot of suspenseful moments, some of which get tied up in pretty bows and others that are left unsolved, leaving his readers to anticipate book two. But if your looking for an exciting Sci/Fi/fantasy book to read this weekend then I highly recommend Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman.

I recently did my DNA and found that I have a large amount of Scottish and Irish so at least that explains my love of this culture. This book by Kristin Gleeson has totally fed into this passion. Saoirse and Smithy both have a deep connection to music around them. That shared link takes them on an unexpected journey. The words just pulled me into the story and the adventure. I can not wait to dive into this world again in the next book.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider 4 Stars!!!!
How do you make a book even better? Simple you create the audio version. I love being able to be able to listen to my favorite books and keep up with my tasks. This is a action packed story and kept my attention. The characters seem to jump right out of the phone and right into my vivid imagination.
I have also read this author so this is a good way to continue my enjoyment of her books. I love this series as it is a nice balance of supernatural and intrigue. I really like how the author brings her book to a new life with a great narrator. I will definitely be getting more.
I enjoyed this young adult story. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed how they used details to make the story feel realistic. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. This is a great story that any young adult would enjoy. It is full of adventure and the characters kept the story engaging. This is a story about Radhika and her adventures when she participates in a challenge in the land of nightmares. Things are not always as they seem here and she is left using her imagination to fight for her life. This is a great fantasy story and certainly will take you on an adventure. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

This book was completely outside my normal genre of reading. I have to say, though, I was quite impressed with the writing, the characters, the feelings, and the overall storyline itself. Martin Ferguson did a fantastic job creating a new world of characters for us to dive into and love. Our main character, Alena, goes through an extremely traumatizing experience as a child. We learn about it rather quickly and then jump into the story years later after the Guild has raised her. She is fierce, determined, and has an air of mystery that I am looking forward to learning more about in the upcoming books of this series. There is a piece of her history that is missing, and I’m assuming that was on purpose to keep us hooked – well, it WORKED! I am ready for the next installment and cannot wait to see more from this author.

This book was a wonderful read, and not just only for the story line. For the music, the scenery, the characters, and so much more. I enjoyed being apart of this book and I was truly captured instantly into the depth of the plot.
I loved reading a story as such as this. I am a Harp player, so this made me think back to happy times of playing the Harp with my grandfather. We always placed Celtic or Folk music.
To me all of the aspects that add to the plot were amazing, but truly the history lessons I received of the Gods truly fascinated me. I felt I knew a lot, but the more the story continued the more I learned and the more I intrigued. I know the next books in the series will more than likely educate me more and that’s more something I truly look forward to!
Saoirse is the main character whom has a special gift to play music. She receives some bad news that truly changes her life forever. Little did she know, fate had an upper hand in the dice it rolled, and her destiny was being set for her on the path she was always meant to walk.
Her adventure truly begins when she goes to visit a family member. I instantly was lot with happy feelings in the town of which her grandmother is residing. I loved the music they spoke of and there was many tales of the music and the joy and happiness the people of the town felt. I swear my heart was dancing with the folk of this beautiful happy town. I was under its spell truly at this point and I went down the path even more as the adventure was set out before me, and when she meets Smithy the story plot truly begins to unfold in ways I did not expect or anticipate and that made me fall in love even more!
Saoirse was a wonderful character to get to know and live in her shoes. She was quite relatable and a breath of fresh air. She had a gift within her. And she could weave music like a beautiful tidal wave. As well as that, for when fighting for what was in her heart, she was a fire that could not be tamed or put out. She was someone strong at heart and would not give up to the end no matter what costs. Even if it meant not being apart of this world anymore..it was a risk she was more willing to take as she knew what was on the line.
Saoirse and Smithy were meant to meet. And not just that their paths were planned basically from the rules of destiny to intertwine. The connection between them was not sheer luck, it was something that was always meant to be. When you know something as strong as that, you just know You don’t need to define those feelings. Some things don’t need a definition and this was one of those things.
As their time together went further down the tunnel…I was more and more captivated. The danger they were to embrace together. Knowing a lot was on the line. Knowing the consequences for the land their very feet walked on…they knew this was home and it was worth everything to them at all costs.
I will be happily awaiting for the second novel in this series. I was in love with every aspect of this book. It was a delightful treat that my common words can not express in simple writing.
I loved the book that this author, Kristin Gleeson, has written for her readers. She captivated me as if I was hearing a new song for the first time and my feet just went with the music.
Truly was happy I read this book and got to meet some new characters, I m going to be looking forward to know even more as the series progresses.
Amazing book, and its very easy to get lost into the story and lose track of the time in your every day life. No regrets here. Just sheer enjoyment!
Pick up this book and read it, I’m pretty sure you will love it as much as I did 🙂

The first book in the Journeys Through series, James Talisman’s debut novel is very well written! Never before have I seen a debut author so expertly weave through multiple storylines, give such in depth descriptions of many characters, or catch my attention as quickly as he did in Journeys Through SpaceTime.
Whether you are reading about a sword masters’ son or ‘ordinary’ college student from Earth, James writes a novel that makes you feel as if you are right there along with the main characters as they travel through the MultiVerse on an epic adventure. James does a great job of explaining the MultiVerse to the reader, which is what drew me to the novel in the first place. I definitely recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed the recent Marvel productions, which has also played on the idea of there being a MultiVerse.

The Dream Catchers by J.U. Menon is the first book in the PRESTORIA Series. But this older children’s tale is an adventure, filled with thrills and spills, mystery and fun and filled with stuff that nightmares are made of. JU has crafted a narrative that is imaginative and delightful and easily imagined. JU has written a story enmeshed with Indian myths and folklore along with messages of family values and friendship.
Grab a copy and follow along with Radhika and the Dream Catchers to uncover the mystery before the dawn.

Wow, I was hooked from the first page. Something about this author’s writing style just grips me. I loved the world she built. It’s very different, but still has a fantastical feel that reminds you of other stories in the fantasy genre. Elfern, an Ellysian royal, has been in the background and invisible really to everyone including her family. You will love getting to know her, and trust me, you will be rooting for her too. I also loved the Cadians – the other race of people. They reminded me of hobbits with their love of family and theatrics. I will definitely be watching for more from this author.

The synopsis gives a brief tale of adventure in a fantasy world that has multiple twists of fate. Inter-racial tensions, politics, assassination, drama, discrimination, oh my! This book is full of action and suspense; with a fantastic plotline that twists and turns like the rollercoaster you feel you’re on.
It took me a few tries to get into the book, but I am glad I ended up reading it! Colbourn delivers a new world full of unique characters; you can’t help but get lost in reading wanting to know more.
This is my first read by this author, and it won’t be my last!

The Myder Bird Tattoo takes the reader to the realm of Arcadia, where things are unraveling fast after the assassination of the queen. When her daughters take over the throne of the female-led tribe, the youngest, Elfren, has no desire to rule. Instead, she tries to find a way to bridge the gap between her people and the other clans on Arcadia.
The Myder Bird Tattoo is the first fantasy novel I have read in a long time, and I am glad it was this one! The worlds created in this novel are incredible, and the characters seem to come to life. Filled with a little bit of everything–drama, political unrest, action, adventure, mystery, and more, The Myder Bird Tattoo has something for everyone. I am excited to continue reading the series! 4/5 stars!
A dark fantasy isn’t what I typically read but I’m SO glad I downloaded this! It’s hard to put into words how this book made me feel. The author has a way of creating a world so real I feel as if I am immersed. The depictions and descriptions made this a read I couldn’t get away from, even when I wasn’t actively reading I was imagining this world. I loved it and I’m glad I decided to read this new (to me) author! I will happily read more from them. <3
I absolutely loved this book. Different realms really catch my interest. I can’t wait to read next book. The different races are fascinating. Definitely recommend 5 stars.
I enjoyed this story. This is a new author for me and I look forward to reading more from her in the future. This is a well written story that is full of magic, myths and an adventure that you won’t soon forget. The characters are connectable and give the story life on each page. I found this story to be fast paced and I had a hard time putting it down. This is an urban fantasy story that has a twist of romance added. Saoirse and Smithy have one thing in common and that is music. Both of their lives collide and set on a path that was meant to be. This turns into an adventure of awakening the gods and defending the land but it also could mean life or death. This is really a great adventure story that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning and what an adventure it was. I really enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it.

The Forsaken: Wraith is the first book in the Hidden Realms of Centuros series by Martin Ferguson. I was excited to see that not only had Mr. Ferguson released a new book, but it was also the start of a new series. I loved his previous series, so I was keen to see where this would take us. And I wasn’t disappointed! This is a young adult fantasy with action, adventure, trained assassins, a guild of thieves, fantastic world building, and much more. Alena has been through a lot- losing her family and everything she ever knew, her life becomes one of secrets and intensive training under the Guild of Thieves and Assassins. She emerges much later as a fully trained slayer. And so her adventure begins. With hidden agendas, danger, secrets to hold, and monsters to face- she will have to embrace all her training and keep her wits about her in order to face the odds. With this first book things are definitely shaping up to be a superb series! I absolutely love the cover on this book, and I am looking forward to seeing what book two has in store for us.

Awakening the Gods is the first book in the Rise of the Celtic Gods series by Kristin Gleeson. This is a wonderful mix of urban fantasy, adventure, Celtic folklore, magic, music, adventure, and romance- all wrapped up in a high stakes quest against a powerful adversary, and where our characters find themselves taking a path forged by fate, risking it all and laying everything on the line in order to save the day. I enjoyed this first book in the series and I will definitely keep an eye out for the next book.

Saoirse is a young woman who finds out the life she knew is anything but. After getting canned at her barista job she learns that her father has died and that she was adopted. MINDBLOWN. Well, as she is adapting here comes her real grandmother. She goes to visit her for a bit and ends up loving Cord with its quirky people and fantastic music. She also meets Smithy, who has a mysterious air about him. These two have an adventure of a lifetime, or maybe two, trying to figure out why. Though she learns that her grandmother is Mother Earth and there are so many secrets and mythteries to be uncovered. This book is absolutely FANTASTIC. Even though I didn’t understand what some words meant, i loved the community amongst the characters. The whole mythtery around the plot kept me never wanting to see this book end. (P.S. Is it November yet? I’ll be eagerly awaiting Book 2). There are 2 plots that intertwine so smooth. The description in the book just fuels my desire to visit Ireland. Big recommend! 5/5

The Forsaken: Wraith by Martin Ferguson is an intriguing YA fantasy paranormal story. I really enjoyed Martin’s debut series, Relic Hunters and was excited to see what The Forsaken was all about. Martin never fails to deliver an action-packed tale with plenty of danger and thrills, and mystery. This is an adventure that is addictive and has all the ingredients that make for a good read and the pages turning. This is an exciting new world and characters.
Alena was hidden away to save her. She is the very thing that she is employed to hunt. She is the very thing she can never reveal. She is the very thing she must keep hidden.
I look forward to seeing what Martin gives us next.

If you like fantasy, adventure, and coming of age novels with a dystopian feel then The Myder Bird Tattoo is for you. Julia Colbourn creates an immersive world of Arcadia that you can lose yourself in.
Elfern, an Ellisian, is the youngest daughter of the current queen of Arcadia. She has never wanted to rule and has always had a soft spot for the Cadians, a physically stronger race that the Ellisians keep in check using their special powers, Negaforce. Unfortunately, her mother and sister does not feel the same. They see the Cadians for what they have always used them for: physical laborer’s and nursemaids. Everyone feels the tension beginning to bubble up between the two races.
Arcadia is ruled by woman, all Ellisian males born are sent off to be trained to become the Brethern. They also have the Negaforce ability, though theirs is not as strong as the woman. The Brethern are divided amongst themselves into four sects, each tattooing themselves to define to which they belong.
We follow Elfern as she tries to unravel mysteries of her race and coexistence with the Cadians. After escaping an assassination attempt on herself and finding out that her mother did not escape hers, Elfren starts to think of how things could change. How everyone can live together more harmoniously. Unfortunately she will have to go head to head with her cruel sister to implement her plans.
I sometimes have problems reading Fantasy novels because I get lost in trying to picture the world around them. Thankfully that was not the case thank to Colbourn’s world building. I also like the fact that she ended the book in a way that everything mostly wrapped up. I like that she didn’t leave you in suspense and awaiting a second book that will not come out for months. That being said, I will not say no to reading the next book if this is turned into a series.

A failed barista, a reclusive blacksmith. Can they avoid the call of the Irish Gods?
Saoirse knows playing traditional music once a week in a local Dublin pub won’t get her a career, but it’s all she’s got, especially after she’s fired from her barista job. But then her father dies and her life is set into a spin, especially when an unknown grandmother comes calling.
Music is Smithy’s one joy that is left to him that has a residue of the magic he lost long ago. Creating things in his forge, tucked away in rural Cork, increasingly reminds him of what he’s lost and why he must resist the requests of the Tuatha De Danann. They want him to join their efforts to battle their biggest nemesis, a powerful and dangerous god who is threatening the destruction of Eire, the land they hold so dear.
But events and gods conspire to bring Saoirse and Smithy to the path that was meant to be. It’s time for the gods to awake and answer the call to defend the land. But doing so could mean risking death.

This story was exceptional. It was extremely well-written in such a way as to capture the reader’s attention. The complexity of the characters and the world he built was astonishing. The way he interwove the worlds and characters and tied everything together kept me invested in wanting to know what was coming next. There were also so many intense ideas that just made me think and I kept wanting to save them so that I didn’t forget them. My favorite is probably the simplicity of “We are all one.” It makes me think of the world today and the way I believe we should interact with each other because we are all one species. We are all human, and part of one world. That may not have been the case in the book, but in this world, it is and that’s so important and just really resonated with me.

This was a first for me. I haven’t ever listened to an Audio book, but I am so glad that I did!! This book was awesome!! If you like shapeshifting fantasies, suspenseful adventures, and thrilling crime dramas this one is for you!! Dahlia Nite is a shapeshifter who runs from her own execution into the human world. Trying to keep her world a secret, she helps protect the human world from what lurks in the dark shadows. A string of gruesome murders puts everything at risk and she must find who’s to blame before her world and herself are exposed. This book had me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what would happen next. I would defiantly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read/listen to the rest of the set!!

Schneider – Review by Jaimie Salmon-Colburn
In Chain Reaction, we’re taken even deeper into the world of the supernatural, and the singular mystery from before blooms into something even more intriguing. Tensions are high after the events of the Flash Point, loyalties are tested, plots are uncovered, the question of romance is in the air, and, best of all, Dahlia Nite is on the case with her trusty and hilarious sidekick. I’ve read many sequels that are never as good as the first book, either the characters begin to fall flat or the plot does – this one was not one of them. This was one of those books you just can’t put down. Well-written, full of winding twists and turns you’ll never see coming, and lots and lots of wit, if you liked Flash Point you’ll love Chain Reaction!

Schneider – Review by Amanda Gonzalez
Give me more!! Wow. This author is new to me and I simply couldn’t put this book down. From start to finish I devoured these pages. This dark fantasy held me in its grips and wouldn’t let go. I loved the different characters I was introduced to and the journey I found myself on. I am speechless and cannot wait to read this again. What an amazing world built by a truly gifted writer.
“Flash Point” is a story about Dahlia Nite, a shape-shifting woman from another world, who just wants to find a place she belongs. After being exiled from her home, she has come to Earth to help protect the humans from evil that comes from her old home. After gruesome murders begin to occur, she tries to hide the truth from the humans, while working alongside them to get redemption for the lost souls.
Personally, this book was hard for me to listen to in certain areas because of the descriptiveness of the demented crime scenes. However, other than that, this book was amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat at all times. The character building is strong and always has you switching which romance to root for. The world building present in this book is phenomenal! I recommend it to anyone who can stomach some crazy crime scenes, likes suspense and piecing scenarios together, and really enjoys fantasy worlds mixing with ours.

L. Schneider – Review by Kayla Octaviano
The Myder Bird Tattoo by Julia Colbourn is a great dark fantasy.
Everyone knows something about the stairs, the tattoos, and the kidnappings, but I have no idea what to ask. When the queen of the small country of Arcadia is killed, inter-racial tensions reach a boiling point. For decades, the delicate Ellisians have subjugated the stronger and more numerous Cadians, subduing and torturing them with the powerful Negaforce, but the Cadians have now discovered a leader who can organize them into rebelling. The queen’s two daughters were meant to die as well, but both efforts failed, and the kingdom is now in the hands of the older sister, whose brutality has been fine-tuned by her anxiety. Males with their inferior Negaforce have no significance in the Ellisians’ matriarchal culture. They are abandoned at birth and taken to be trained as mindless warriors to watch over the Cadians. When the queen’s younger sister discovers that many of these Brethren warriors are her brothers, a chain reaction of disaster begins.
I loved this story and the concept of it as well.I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is the first book in the series and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
