Uriel’s story is captivating that keeps you hooked until the end. I love Uriel’s cowboy spirit, he is my favorite so far. I love Bekka’s love for music, her personality made the story so much better. Her draw to the supernatural is so relateable.

Seph lives in a world where virtual reality is the new reality. No one goes outside, preferring to stay plugged in. Why do things the hard way when it’s so easy to do it virtually? But Seph does not believe in this. He yearns for a time way before his lifetime where AI did not rule. One day, he is out doing things his way when everything goes horribly wrong. He is arrested, sentenced and imprisoned for much longer than he thinks he should be. The only way he can earn enough to pay his fine and to make the three years go faster is to plug into a game — something he has refused to do before. But the more he plays, the more he realizes there is so much more than what he ever expected. Will he be able to learn and become good enough? Will this possibly change the way he looks at life?
This is the second LitRPG book I have read and I quite enjoyed it. I liked how the author gave us a choice of starting the beginning to learn the back story, or jump ahead right into things in a further chapter. Seph is a great main character, refusing to just go along with what everyone else does. There are many who can relate to this. But he is also humble enough to quickly realize that he may not know everything when it comes to gaming. The story is fun and feels exactly like what it should be — a video game in book format.
If you are a fan of LitRPG, you will quite enjoy this book. If this genre is new to you but you enjoy video games, I recommend you read this and see what you think.

Imprisoned Online: Gaming the System (A LitRPG Adventure Book 1) by P.A. Wikoff was an out of this world read. I enjoyed the world and the ode to the digital hit me deep. I would give this book a four out of five. As a gamer I enjoyed the details and felt the story resonated. I would never want to be sent to this prison. Seph’s nostalgia was relatable and I loved reading his point of view. It was a completely new read for me.

I do love novels about dragons, but when I first started this book, I was a little lost. But, as I persevered, I found my way. The story of Leiel and Cleod was epic and I am glad I persevered. I love a good adventure with heroes and heroines, which Draigon Weather had. As you read you enjoy the duel, but separate path Leiel and Cleod take. These paths place them exactly where they need to be. The story was intriguing and fun to read. I look forward to the next installment to follow Leiel’s and Cleod’s journey and how it plays out.

This is the third book in the Four Horseman series and it did not disappoint. The story of Uriel and Veronica had some really interesting twists and turns as they found their way to each other. I really enjoyed following them on the journey. As for this series, each new story adds more pieces to the puzzle of what Dante is looking for. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series so that I can, hopefully, find the answer. I am never disappointed with a C.A. King novel and I do not think you will be either. I do recommend this book.

Draigon Weather by Paige L. Christie is the first of The Legacies of Arnon book series. I was sucked into the story very quickly and did not want to put it down. There are great characters and story developments that left me wanting more. I really enjoyed the development of Cleod and Leiel. The friendship they share and how their lives are changed beyond their control is well done. I became invested in knowing what would happen to them next. I do not want to go into any plot points in the fear of giving something away. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Hitting The High Note (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 3) by C. A. King was an excellent addition to the series. It can be read as a standalone and provides enough detail for readers who have not read the first two books to prevent confusion. As seen with the other two novels, the author begins the book with a brief history of what led to the current issue with the keys from past events. This book focuses on Uriel, Veronica, and Bekka and their role in the main story searching for the keys. Uriel is portrayed as a hunky red headed cowboy while Veronica and Bekka look very similar to each other. Only one of them is the key though. This story was fascinating and very different from the first to books. I loved the change and enjoyed that the story still easily flowed from page one to the end. The characters were also easy to relate to and at times frustrating. This story carried me away and I read it in one sitting. I highly recommend this book and the series and can’t wait to see what the next book has in store.

Wikoff certainly does transport the reader into a very interesting tale, as usual. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found the premise to be fascinating. I knew from reading this author previously that there would be a great story and great detail provided. Thankfully I was not disappointed. Definitely recommended.

This is the third book in the series and I have been eager to read it. The fight continues and the search for the key aka their mates continues. I really like how the author writes her take on the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The take that they are good is very unique.
This book is Uriel’s story and I really like how the author does not make it obvious and throws in little twists. I really like how the romance is underlying in this story and that there is just enough drama and a bit of mystery thrown in. I like how this story was not so straight forward and had a bit of twist. I really look forward to reading the next and finale book in this series and more from this author.

Hitting the High Note is the third book in the Four Horsemen series. Read the previous books in order to get a good grasp on the story thus far.
I enjoyed this story so much. I can totally relate to the part of Bekka that, in her words, “shouldn’t be allowed in public.” I’ve said that about myself so many times. Up until now, we haven’t heard much from Uriel, so it was good to see what he’s really like. Who doesn’t like a man who can use a lasso???
Be prepared for some interesting twists. Everything may not be what it seems.
As with the previous books, the story held my attention and I read it all in one night. I appreciate the thought that went into creating the unique aspects of the powers and the creation myth.
I highly recommend this series. I’m looking forward to the next book so I can find out how it all ends!

Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan Book 1) by Paige L. Christie is a refreshing fantasy story that is both unique and original and very well thought out. The story is told from a dual POVs which I love because it gives us greater insight into the characters and what was happening with the story. It flows easily and her narrative is well written. The experiences of the main characters are told back and forth through time allowing us to experience each and every loss, their friendships and their painful journeys. They learn truths and lies and dreams that can never be. Paige has woven a complex tale that encompasses a world of righteous men and special women who are so much more than they seem.
Leiel and Cleod as thick as thieves and when Leiels world is torn apart, Cleod makes a promise to her that neither of them ever dreamed would affect them as it does. It is a sacrifice so great that it leaves them on opposite sides of their reality. Consequences that neither of them as children would ever have seen. There is so much pain and suffering that it is palpable with each turning page.
I am really looking forward to reading the other books in this series. This is a great debut to the series.

Remember when 2020 was so far away that we had fantasies about getting info subliminally, clothes that could be changed instantly, and everything is run by AI (who prefer non-binary identies)? Well this story is what our fantasies of the future look like. (Except credit card magnetic stripes are still blown in and rubbed when they don’t work.)
This book is all of that and so much more. The first qtr of the story is the protagonist talking to himself which is how we “see” everything he is doing. The rest of the book is an enjoyable adventure.
This is a LITrpg story. LitRPG is a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy which describes the hero’s adventures within an online computer game. Imprisoned Online – Gaming the System by P.A. Wikoff is the first book in the LitPRG Adventure Book series. This book was well written and creative and that I loved reading. I loved this authors take on a futuristic society based in online gaming. It was unique and believable and made for an interesting read. I enjoyed the story progression. It felt like the book moved at the perfect pace. I did struggle at times with the main character however I found that after a while Seph did grow on me and I wanted to know what was going to happen. Overall this was a great book and one I would recommend reading.

Just off the top of my head I have to say this has been the best book I have read in quite a while. If I could give it ten stars I would. In Draigon Weather, Paige L. Christie has given us a marvelous cast of characters. The main characters, Leiel Sower and Cleod Woodcutter, were so carefully crafted that you know them. You know what motivates them and what they aspire to. They quickly grab your imagination. All the supporting characters in this excellent story are just as well crafted. The world that Christie has created for her characters is so well suited for them and has been so well described you feel like you are almost there. You can feel the heat drifting across the land. This is a book that will quickly grab your imagination and keep you reading long after the moon has crossed the sky. A new direction in Dragonlore. This is a book you will not regret reading.

Imprisoned Online is the first book in the Gaming the System series by P.A. Wikoff. It is a sci-fi, futuristic fantasy story- with adventure, video gaming, role-playing, action, drama, virtual reality, twists, group play- that also has a bit of a dystopian feel to it too. I have read and enjoyed some of Mr. Wikoff’s other books and enjoyed them- and this one seemed quite intriguing-with the whole online gaming and prison synopsis, so I really wanted to find out where the story would lead. It has a bit of a TRON vibe to it, but is definitely an original story with it’s own identity and unique flare. There is plenty of action, danger, and drama as the story unfolds. Seph’s world is interesting and certainly felt very ‘real’. He isn’t like other members of his society; he hasn’t lost himself in the gaming world- but then finds himself in an online jail- where he will need to learn and adapt very quickly- if he is to have any chance to survive. Player vs player to earn the experience points to ‘progress through the game’. So, will this non-gamer learn the ropes quickly enough? Does he have any chance of progressing through, and surviving this cyber experience? This intriguing story is well worth the read to find out. The story is wonderfully detailed and descriptive- bringing the story and characters to ‘life’. The characters were well developed, interesting, and somewhat quirky. Making this a really fun and engaging read.

I loved the character development put into the main characters and supporting characters. They were easy to visualize and picture in the story. I also enjoyed how easily the story flowed and captured my attention. I was hooked from the beginning until the very end. This novel was very creative and entertaining. This is the first book I have read from this Author and I cant wait to read more in this series. I highly recommend it!

This book blew me away! Jamie A. Waters is an amazing storyteller. Her writing style reminds me of Sarah J. Maas in the way she pulls you into her world with captivating characters and a complex storyline. I fell in love with not only the main characters but the secondary ones as well. I’ve always loved strong female leads and Sabine is one kick ass lethal heroine.
She’s been on the run for the last ten years, hiding amongst humans. With two demons and a witch by her side to protect her she should be okay but the Wild Hunt never gives up. Sabine can’t help but be intrigued when a smuggler shows up with his own secrets to hide. She extremely attracted and his power is pulling her in but can Sabine trust him?
This is a riveting paranormal romance filled with action and intrigue that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I know this is a series that I’ll love and can’t wait to read the next part.

The more I read from King the more enthralled and entranced I become. This second addition to this series is just as good as the first book and continues to follow Tails and Brodie. I found the story to be extremely quick and easy to read, but that should not be interpreted to mean the story is simple or detail is lacking. King is a master storyteller and this book is pure brilliance. It moves quick. I recommend this be read in series order to best understand the characters and storyline. Just absolutely fantastic. Loved every page.

This is a first for me with this author and I have to say I have found a new favourite. Jamie has done a great job with this tale that is exciting and intriguing, dynamic and vibrant. The characters are unique and an unruly bunch, but Jamie has done a wonderful job of making them come to life and pop off the page. With possessive demons, witches and pixies along with one kick a*se Fae, plus a stranger who is the captain of a ship that deals in smuggling and you have the recipe for one explosive nonstop action tale. I was so engrossed and entranced with this story that I had to stay up late to read each and every word. Who cares if you are tired the next day for work? Certainly not me, not when you have a gem like this one in your hands.
Sabine has been in hiding for many years from those who want her dead, but she has made some powerful friends who will not let anything happen to her but how will they stop her from hurting herself? Just how far will her enemies go to get what they want? Once the Wild Hunt begins there is no stopping it. Will she lose everything and everyone she loves?

King is one of my favorite authors and she does not disappoint with Hitting the High Note. I would highly recommend reading the first two books. That would give you insight to the series. The characters are fully developed and could see them in the real world, to a point. In this book, Uriel is tasked with not letting the gates of hell open. I have loved the first 2 books of this series and this one follows right along, this could possibly be read as a standalone but I would absolutely not recommend it, there’s too much you would be missing and there is a continuing story happening and building in the background.
This might be my favorite so far and that’s hard to say because the first two were outstanding. I fell head over heels for Uriel, he made me smile often and Bekka had my emotions all over the place..I really liked her best friend and the twists in this book had me on the edge of my seat.
This book has me crazy thinking about what might happen in book four and I can not wait! Not going into any of the storylines as I don’t want to ruin any of the books for someone else but just know one clicking this series is something you will not regret. I love this author, she has made me read books and look forward to books I don’t normally read.
Loved it and can not wait for When The Paint Dries… I am seriously considering reading all of the first 3 over again so I can move right into 4 when the time comes..They are that good!!

I highly suggest reading the first book before this one to help your enjoyment of this series. Once again, I was pulled in to Tails and Brodie’s story. Their story is full of page turning twists and turns. They are great characters that kept me engaged until the end. In this installment they are trying to forget their past. Is it even possible to do that or believe that the war is over? Could it be that simple? I highly recommend reading their story to find out what happens next to them.

Finally C.A. King is giving us Uriel’s story in her Hitting the High Note that is the third book in her Four Horsemen series! For the ones who are just now stumbling on the series, you need to read the stories in the order! Also, as a short reference to get your juices flowing, it is an interesting twist on the four horsemen legend – the writer gives us an urban fantasy with drama, adventure, demigods, jealousy, good versus evil, brotherhood, romance … I can keep going for ever! Hitting the High Note is Uriel’s story! He is one of the four horsemen and he is one of the four guarding the gates to hell: “The guardians of the four gates remained faithful to their cause through the ages – seeking out and destroying demons trying to free their forefather from the confines of the hell he had been sentenced to live in. Thousands of years later, a new threat appeared on the horizon…” His ‘person’ is Bekka and she was not so nice to him when they first met (and you need to read the story to find out why). She loves music and she does not like socializing and Uri comes and turns her life upside down … I promise you one heck of a ride where you do not know what might happen next! AND there is one more guardian left!

Draigon Weather (The Legacies of Arnan Book 1) by Paige L. Christie was exciting and adventurous. Cleod and Leiel were excellent main characters in this story. I loved every bit of it. Both characters were developed well and the author provided excellent detail spanning their younger years to the current day. Leiel was smarter than most girls of her time and more brave.
The storyline had an easy flow and each chapter was labeled to aid in the books organization. It is told from two different points of view but not once was I confused. The author made it very easy to keep track of time in accordance to what was occurring in the story. This book was well written and I highly recommend it.

To Kill A Fae by Jamie A. Waters is the first book in the Dragon Portal series. This book is exciting and fast paced and will leave you desperate to read the next book in the series. This is a new author to me and yet when I read the description of this book I just knew that I had to give them a go. It was intriguing enough to draw me in before I had even opened to the first page. The story lived up to this expectation as well. I was enthralled immediately. Sabine is fantastic. I loved reading all about her – her journey, her powers, running for her life. There isn’t a single bit that I didn’t want to know. The way the author builds up the plot is amazing. She knew the exact right moment to give you that bit of information and when to leave you trying to figure things out. The book was exciting and so well written. I definitely cannot wait for the next in the series.
