I have enjoyed listening to this series from the start. This is a series that I highly suggest listening from the beginning as they build on one another. It will help you enjoy this series,and the characters The narrator brings the story to life with are different tones they use. They made the characters feel real and had me coming back for more. This is not my first audio but it is one of my favorites. Dahlia finds herself in a race against time and dealing with the dragon inside that is itching to get out. This is a fast paced story that is entertaining and easy to listen to. I highly recommend this audiobook.

3.5 stars Whispers in the Waters is a Gaslamp fantasy novella and is the prequel to her new series the Blood of the Fae. It is an interesting premise and introduction to new worlds set in Victorian times and Otherworldly creatures. It is a short story and a slow story but I found it even slower going at times due to the formality of the writing and felt it was overly detailed. This could be because it is the setting up for what’s to come. Whispers in the Waters introduces us to Jessa who has abilities she has hidden away for fear of what would happen if they were revealed. What is the price you would be willing to pay? The ending was a little predictable but left questions which I’m sure will be revealed in future books. I am interested in seeing how things develop in the series and particular the first book Tattoo of Crimson

This book was a medium pace book. There were lovable characters and the scenes were beautifully described. My favorite character was Jade. I can’t wait to see what is ahead for Jessa. I hope great things come for the family in this series.

I enjoyed reading this fantasy story. This is a new author for me which I enjoyed. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. This is a well written story that brings fae, magic and mystery into a combined engaging story to read. The characters are relatable and truly brought the story to life. They pulled me into their world with ease and had me coming back for more just to see what would happen next. I found them to be creative and unique and just added to the story’s plot. Jessa made such a great, strong, supportive character that she is my favorite of the story. Will she be able to expose truths and protect those that she holds dear? You don’t want to miss what happens with her. This is a great story to read that has great growth throughout which makes it easy to read. I highly recommend this book.

Minotaur’s Lair seems to be the epic conclusion of this series, and it did not disappoint. The author keeps you ingrained in an intriguing tale involving descendants of the Gods and Goddesses of old, and well as the Titans that came before them. I give this author a lot of credit you feel the discord between Kronos and his beloved children.. lol Jk We find Evan and his companions held captive by the Amazons. Not against their will per say but drugged to forget what they are doing. Once the High Priestess is visited by Mother Goddess, she not only gets her companions free but also back on course for their date with The Minotaur so they can retrieve the final relic. Of course anyone who has read the previous books knows this is no easy task, also as Kronos is waiting in the wings. With no intentions of letting his children succeed and taking the relics for himself, leads to an epic showdown. Who comes out on top? What obstacles do they run into along the way? Does Evan get his wish to return home? I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys Greek Mythology. The author is very knowledgeable and makes it entertaining for all!

I always love finding new authors. See what their imagination can come up with. This is the first time I am reading work from Luciana Cavallaro and I am hooked. It’s a real page turner, kept me reading non stop and loved all the twists and turns.I also love reading about Greek mythology, so I really enjoyed the author’s take on it. I didn’t realize this was the second book of the series though so I’m definitely going to go back to read the first one. I recommend reading.
In this delicious book 2 of Elinor’s story; We find Elinor trying to enjoy delicious food in the southern town of Vouvant. Not is all it seems in this town. A young society and a widower have come to Elinor for help. On top of all that someone has tried to poison the king! We follow this wonderful story as Elinor tries to help and solve a mystery all at the same time. Will she do it just in time to save the king? Or will she be bested by the oh-so-frustrating Tristan Fontaine, duke de Archambeau? Just like in book one you are taken for a ride in a wonderful story that does not disappoint!

I’ve been a huge fan of Greek mythology since I was a kid, and I’ve read a lot of fantasy books based around the myths. Finding mythos/fantasy books as an adult can be pretty hard.
I liked this book. I read it as a stand alone, but it is part of a series. I thought it was interesting how they took a modern day man back to the time of the ancients. It’s an interesting story, and I find the plot almost a little strange, but not bad.
One thing I did have a slight issue with though as someone who has studied history and religion, is how some of the Argonauts used the phrases Baal and Molech as curse terms, which by the time ancient Greek society would have come around, wouldn’t have been the mainstream gods worshipped, especially because those gods were worshipped in another region of the world. (Ancient Babylon, specifically)
It was nice to take a break from romance novels and jump into an action novel. I did like the book, and if you’re into mythology and action, this is the book for you!

Minotaur’s Lair is the third and final book of the Servant of the Gods book series. Evan and his companions must continue on their quest but they are entrapped by the Amazon Queen, Antioche. They must try to get free and retrieve the relic from the Minotaur’s Lair to defeat the Dark Master. This story continues to be phenomenal. There is plenty of adventure and action. The characters are as wonderful as in the previous book and the writing is wonderful. I really enjoyed the ending to this series.

This is a new fictional take on how Christianity overtook Mythology and how Zeus wants to stop this from happening. In this series, Zeus tries to stop this by bringing Even (his son) from the future to collect three sacred relics that will save the Gods and stop the new Messiah. Though this can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the whole series to fully understand everything. This second installment is cram packed with adventure as Even tries to locate the relics to save the Gods and himself. We also get to see more of who his fellow companions are as their personalities come out throughout their travels.
Luciana Cavallaro has such a wonderful way of sharing historical, architectural, and mythological information while keeping you engaged in the story. I find it fascinating to see what time was like back in the sixth century BCE. I’m off to read book three and see what happens with Even and the crew.

Luciana Cavallaro has come up with a very intriguing take on Mythology and the Gods that is well researched and knowledgeable while also leading you on an epic adventure. Her descriptive landscapes and strong characters allow you to feel as if you’re immersed in the story itself. As a Christian I sometimes have trouble when Christianity elements are put in stories (even fiction ones) but this was well written and added to the fiction story. If you like mythology and descriptive, obviously researched details mixed with adventure and time travel, then this series is for you.

The Labyrinthine Journey is book 2 of the Servant of Gods series by Luciana Cavallaro. I did not read the first book but I was still able to follow along. The author provides ample background for the reader to catch up. This story has amazing world-building with wonderfully written characters. The descriptions are incredible. The story takes place in Ancient Greece, where we have Evan continuing to try to save the Olympian Gods from the God of Christianity. Evan receives a lot of help along the way and gains tons of respect along the way. I really enjoyed this story. It gives a lot of help in understanding the background of religion and the role we play to the gods.

Evan is a man out of time, or at least, out of his time, his father, the god Zeus has taken him from his home in the twenty first century and everything he knows and thrown him back in time into ancient Greece where he learns who he is and why he has to go on the mission which Zeus has commanded him to undertake. Now he has begun to acclimate to his new surroundings, he and his travelling companions set out to see an Oracle, who has the answer to where the relics he has been tasked to find are located, but as he has found out on the journey so far, nothing is plain sailing and everything takes much longer than planned.
As they leave for the next stage of their journey, the obstacles between them and their destination become apparent and they are not all of a natural nature, some are mythical and some are human, but they all litter the path with peril and they appear out of nowhere just when the group start to feel safe again. However, as Evan learns more about this time and their mission, as well as the Gods they are trying to save, he realises that not all of the threats are strange, some of them come from his blood relations themselves, but as they progress through the dangers and obstacles in their path, will they be able to overcome them?
Will Evan and his companions be able to find the Oracle and learn their next destination before the danger becomes life threatening? This is a historical fiction where the Gods demand help from their children, so that they can carry on their existence and with plenty of twists and turns throughout, this epic fantasy will keep you guessing all the way to the end.

Mythological fantasy This is the third and final book of the Servant of the Gods series. Evan is at the final stage of his journey and is up against some fantastical creatures. This story has everything to keep the reader’s interest – paranormal, mythology, action, gods, magic and great world building. There is a vast range of characters throughout the series so it is best to read from book 1. Recommend.

Supernatural delight Delicious Death is the second volume in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series. It was just as good as the first. A Gaslamp fantasy tale that has murder, mystery, ghosts and romance. Elinor is a medium and finds herself needing to solve an attempted royal murder. I love the layers of humour and the slow burn romance. Looking forward to book 3.

This story was very imaginative and kept me intrigued. Secrets and schemes between the different gods kept the story exciting. I love stories about mythology and Atlantis, etc. This was an entertaining book, and I will definitely be reading the other books in the series.

I love all things Greek mythology so as I stumbled upon this book I knew I had to give it a shot. What a great decision that turned out to be because this series is nothing short of amazing. The characters are well thought out and the writing makes you feel as though you are a part of the story, almost as though you are with Evan through every obstacle he faces.
This third and final book in this series is a bit of a bittersweet read because honestly I didn’t want the adventure to end. In this book Evan loses his memories and therefore forgets about the God’s quest. This leads to not only memories to be tested but loyalties and where they lie. Will Evan complete this quest and finally earn what has been promised by Zeus? Or are the other gifts that have been offered too great to pass up on?
While this can be read as a stand alone book, as the author does a fantastic job of recapping the previous books. The journey is far different and much more interesting if you start at the beginning with Evan in book one. Overall, I am so glad I ran across this series and am equally sad that this journey has ended. I can’t wait to see what else this author might have on the table because the writing was fantastic and I bet whatever is produced next will be just as amazing!

This is book two in the “Servant of the Gods” series and once again follows Evan, a 21st century architect, who finds himself transported back to Ancient Greece and thrust upon a quest to save the Gods. Evan, who has already found one relic, must continue his quest to locate the second relic to prevent the extinction of the Greek Gods. During this quest he must face inconceivable dangers including mythical creatures, warriors, and sorcery. While trying to face the fact that Zues is his father and trying to uncover just what role he must play in the success of this mortal battle. Can Evan find the second relic and move one step closer to returning to his 21st century life?
I absolutely have fallen in love with this author’s writing style and the fact that she brings you up to speed with what happened in the first book in case you haven’t read it yet or it’s been a while and need a refresher. This can be read as a standalone book but after reading this review I hope you’ll go pick up the first book first and follow Evan on his journey from the very beginning. It is well worth it in my opinion as this series has quickly become a favorite of mine.

I absolutely LOVE Greek Mythology so always look forward to reading any books based in it. This story did not disappoint and I look forward to reading others. You can read this as a stand alone book, but I do suggest reading the others too. However, I don’t think you’ll miss much! This story was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed going on adventures with the MC.

This box set contains the first three books in the series. You can enjoy the box set because you can binge read all three at once. It is an interesting way the author used different POV on t story to progress the multiverse plot. The author includes a character list to help you keep track of who-is-who. There is also considerable research done by the author in the mystical and metaphysical components of the stories. This helps add depth and dimension! These books are thought provoking and will make you think while reading the novels.

This is book two in the Journeys Through series. I like how the reptilian human hybrids are continued in this story and reminds me of Ancient Aliens with an agenda! This novel is easier to read now that I read the first one and could follow the storyline and the characters better. We pick up right where book one left off and this book also reads well as a stand alone. The continued adventure into the multiverse will have you turning the page to see what happens in the battle. The plot is multi-layered and adds complexity to the plot. I found myself turning the pages to see what would happen next. Book three will be even better!

The first book, Journey Through Spacetime, the reader is introduced to different empires throughout the multiverse. You have a mix of cultures and alien species having a similar experience that leads them to the call to adventure. The author includes a list of characters at the beginning of the novel. This helps the reader when navigating between worlds in the story. It was confusing at first when reading the novel. It felt like as I was getting into the story, we switched worlds and narrative. As I continued to read Journey Through SpaceTime, it was easier to follow the storyline. I did enjoy the several references to the mystical and metaphysical. It helped bring the plot together. The characters were fleshed out and I felt like I could cheer them on their journey to save the multiverse.

This book is the second in a series. It works quite well on its own and is easily followed. But it does pick up from the first book and would be enjoyed following it. After the initial set up, the story is fast paced and holds your attention well. Elinor Chalamet is bored and looking for another adventure. She definitely finds one at the Winter Revels. This was a captivating read and enjoyable!

This book delves into racism but with a touch of magic. Shawn, the owner of DNAgen Biolabs, hates people of color. So much so that he made a drug to prevent future colored babies from being born. Being half black himself he is full of self hatred. That tied with ambition, selfishness and power, he quickly goes off the deep end.
Madeline ends up pregnant with Shawn’s baby and it puts a wedge in everything. Shawn tries to convince Madeline to take the drug while also still helping him to kill the circle.
The circle is a group of shops led by a magical group of people. Each shop has their own particular power. Soraya is in charge of managing the people. After the death of previous shop owners orchestrated by Shawn, Soraya is on clean up duty. She has to find apprentices for the empty shops while trying to protect the living.
Can they band together and stop Shawn before more die? What about the drug? Read to find out! You will not be disappointed.
Although the book is technically the 3rd book in the series, it was fine to read without reading the previous books. The book went into enough details to explain what is going on and who is who.

Brenda Hardwick’s Freedom Rings is the third book to The Circle fantasy series. I cannot say that I have read the two previous books beforehand. However, I am definitely intrigued to do so after reading this book to get the full scope. I was still able to follow along well enough and was completely enamored by the storyline and most of the main characters, even if there were a few gaps for me. I especially adored Soraya, with whom we get to share her journey of growth in power and leadership and fight against this hatred of people of color.
I absolutely recommend checking out this series if you are at all intrigued by witches and magic, good and evil. The writing was fantastic, with a strong and descriptive narrative. So, if you’re a fantasy fan, don’t deprive yourself! Check out The Circle series by Brenda Hardwick!

This story was incredibly fast paced with enough items to keep your flipping the pages to the end. Full of amazing characters, a great plot, and of course good vs. evil, this book was the perfect way to end a trilogy. One of my favorite things about this story is that it is told from multiple povs, having multiple povs really gives you the book as a whole. But this book was such a perfect ending to a trilogy that if you haven’t read the whole trilogy I not only recommend book three but I definitely recommend books one and two as well.

This is book three in the fantasy series by this author. I have fallen in love with this series and could not wait to get my hands on this book. While these can be read as stand-alone stories, I feel to get the most of it you need to read the books in order. I think this will give you a better understanding of the story and the characters. Now, just as with the previous two books the author did a wonderful job pulling me into the story with her amazing characters. I feel like she personally connects with these characters just as I did. She does a wonderful job of making these characters so relatable and understanding. And the way that she uses them to tell this story is wonderful. Another remarkable story that I could not put down.
