Minotaur's Lair (Servant of the Gods, #3)Minotaur’s Lair by Luciana Cavallaro
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Evan and his companions return, but this time, something has gone wrong and they cannot remember their mission or what they are supposed to do and this is because they have been drugged by the Amazon Queen Antioche and her warrior women after they crash landed onto their island home. They believe that they are there as the guests of the Amazons and have no idea of their delay, they have even forgotten the High Priestess they have been travelling with, but as her health deteriorates, she feels trapped by her condition and desperately searches for a way to rescue the rest of their companions while the drug challenges their allegiances and memories.

Meanwhile, the Dark Master is forging ahead with his plans for domination over the Gods and is almost finished with his preparations which he has been carrying out surreptitiously away from the Gods gazes and as he continues his machinations, he is hoping that Evan does not overcome his latest obstacle. Unaware of any of this, only the High Priestess remembers that the group of Atlanteans needs to travel to Krete to retrieve the final relic from the lair of the Minotaur, in order to complete their mission, but will Queen Antioche let them leave with the gifts she has presented to them, or will they remain drugged and oblivious to the danger their world is in?

Will Evan and his companions be able to escape the clutches of the Amazons and find a way to complete their mission, so that he can head back to his time and his home, or will the Dark Master prevail with his destructive agenda? This is another exciting instalment in this epic heroic fantasy adventure across a familiar, yet strange world, in a race against time to save everything they know and love.
