I couldn’t believe the twists in this sweet romantic mystery. I mean who saw the crazy coming! This is my first Eve Sawyer adventure.
Eve Sawyer is a journalism major at a local college. She wants to be an investigative journalist. It seems like she is starting early by helping the police solve crimes in her spare time. In this story, Eve is contacted by her friend’s mother, stating that her friend never came home and is missing. Eve soon discovers that the friend’s boyfriend is missing too. Are the two disappearances linked?
As Eve starts looking for her friend, she discovers so much going on. A bad break-up, a deceased father, an overprotective mother, a mystery ancestry hit, and an unexpected ransom situation. What seems connected may not be but could be. The crazy series of events that led to the big truth reveal was out of this world. Not to mention the budding romance between Eve and her investigation buddy.
Overall a good listen for the afternoon!

This is one of the best hockey romances I have read in several years. The authors’ knowledge and understanding of hockey, the game, the players feels real. This one is different. There seems to be a real love of the game here, not to mention the name dropping. This helps make the book more enjoyable.
Gabby and Colby have both been hurt. Each resigns themselves to a life of one and done’s. Except every time they are in a room together, they are pulled together like magnets. Neither of them want to admit that it is more. Neither want it to be more. The first night they are together, he sneaks out. The second time, she does.
Now, Gabby’s best friend is marrying his friend and teammate. This means they will be in each other’s orbit more and more. Gabby is the Maid of Honor and Colby is the Best Man adding a level of togetherness neither wants to experience. Fireworks and mayhem ensue. When the wedding is done, so is Gabby. She won’t keep flying close to the flame that is Colby hoping not to get burned.
So, not going to add spoilers here. The team are fantastic characters. I want things to work out for Gilly. I need Rocky to find a shy, introverted librarian. Can’t wait for the next in the series. Looking forward to adding a Steelhawks jersey to my collection!! Love it!

When Grandma moved across town, she left four mysterious boxes in the hall closet: Feathers, Wandas, Fascinator, and Dowse. Dowse can mean soaking wet or find something valuable. In this book, Carrie does both. She hunts for gold and finds her dad’s wedding ring. She hunts for water and finds a leaky sewer pipe. Then she asks the rods to find her something valuable. She finds Grandma!
Lois Wickstrom lives in a world where imaginary playmates are real. She doesn’t remember being born, so she finds unbirthdays are more exciting than the official once-a-year date on the calendar. She’s taken so many science classes that she believes science is the solution to almost every problem, including the dilemmas in fairy tales.

I love this author and I love the previous Manhattan Titans series. To find out there’s a new series and it’s going to be about the Chicago Titans how can I say no!?! I look forward to the development and reading books in this series as they come out, until then. Deceptively Yours was a nice start to a new Titans series. A small warning that this book contains some dark themes so don’t take it lightly. Harper and Gabriel were torn apart. Growing up together as sweethearts they expected to be together forever. Planned for it even, until one fateful that Harper’s parents were in an accident. It would change and upend their lives forever. Harper was taken from Chicago by her uncle. And suffered through abuse in the household let alone outside. But she wanted to protect Gabriel, never realizing at the time it would last forever. Because years later she realized he might be in trouble and that sadly she would be the cause and she needed to protect him. Harper came barreling back into Gabriel’s life and he hated and loved it. He hated her and she destroyed him, but did he really? It was a struggle because she was the one who got away. Didn’t matter how young they were, he knew then she would be it for him. But now how could he even look at her. Through hateful passion he hoped to have hurt her as she hurt him. But what happens when she’s in danger? Does he answer the call? Will these two get a true second chance to fix what was broken? Does Harper succeed in her quest to protect Gabriel? Those questions and so many will come as you navigate this Chicago Titan adventure. I personally am trying to figure out which Chicago Titan will be next. Happy reading!

Fun, flirty rom-com, Vacation Flirtation..or More is Book 1 in the Winter Getaway Romance series and I loved this story. The connection between Landon and Giuliana is truly undeniable and it had me rooting for both of them the entire story. I love when a story gives me all the feels with a tropical themed romance, a few secrets and cocktails and just overall fun flirty banter…..
Giuliana and her best friend, Morgan, are off to their annual vacation never expecting to find what could be “the one” on the airplane. When Morgan is delayed, Giuliana finds her eyes are on Landon to fill her time….and Landon never forgot the beauty on the plane…that ends up being Giuliana. The instant connection and spark…off the charts…While Landon is going over business plans he also finds time to get to know Giuliana on so many levels.
Is this whirwind of a week just only for fun or is true love there that Giuliana and Landon will fight for…Definitively read and find out…I highly recommend this book. I am looking forward to more in this series!!
I first read this book about 2 years ago. I enjoyed reading the story at the time and have enjoyed listening to it this time around. The narrator did a good job and I enjoyed the voice she brought to Eve Sawyer. Since it had been a while, listening to the story was like discovering it all over again. I highly recommend the series as a whole.

This is a quick but enjoyable read. I read this book in about half an hour and thoroughly enjoyed every page. It’s the beginning and lets you know where it all started. This book makes you very excited to read the series. Xenobia and Urd are treated badly. Xenobia steps in to help Urd and there may be consequences for her actions. This author always does a good job pulling me into any story I have read by her. I look forward to reading more by this author because I know it will be a good read. I recommend this short story.
Amazing, full of angst and lust. Very strong-willed characters and a well told story. This book will keep you turn the pages to find out what is next. I love when an author can write with some much depth that you feel you are in right of the middle of the story. I recommend this book to all readers who like a page turner. This book was a fun short read about a girl who despite her upturned life catches a break and lands a lavish job at a resort. The resort is on a private island and is certainly interesting. There were some quirky funny moments and is definitely an acquired taste. This little short story will certainly wish there was more. 3.5 stars

This book took me a few chapters to really sink into. I loved the characters right away but the storyline seemed forced and I’m not sure if I’m explaining that clearly but it made it hard for me to really fall into the story. But please if you find yourself in the same place give it time please because trust me this author will soon have you completely captured. I absolutely loved the relationship between Petra, Callum and Weston they might actually be some of my very favorite characters this year. There’s plenty of spice in this book but it’s not overly done in my opinion it’s a sprinkle of spice which was nicely done. There’s bits of suspense thrown into the mix. It may have taken me a couple chapters to really dig in but once I did I was really excited for each new page. Five stars and highly recommended.
I wasn’t exactly sure how I would feel going into this story. I know the blurb was intriguing enough to give it a go though. I’ll be honest it took me a couple chapters to really sink into it but once I found my groove it went by way too fast at no fault of the author or speed of the book. Just my need to read as fast as possible and know what happens next. Cole is my new favorite jerk I love to hate but can’t help but feel for also and I think it takes true talent to get readers to feel this way. Riley is probably in my top three favorite female characters for this year, instantly felt an easy connection to her character. This isn’t a super long book, honestly it’s the perfect length, nice steady speed and easy to follow. Great story and I’m excited for the next. Four stars and highly recommended.

This is the 2nd book in the Cray series and if possible I think I loved it even more than the first! The prose was beautiful and the rhyming kept a steady pace without being cheesy just to achieve a match! This beautiful children’s book helps people of all ages to understand the vast impact of rubbish on the environment and how it can affect sea creatures for example. Great to read on its own, as part of the series or as part of an environmental unit in an educational setting!

Such a good read. this is the second book of Victoria’s I have read and she does her research well, which is refreshing when reading about MC’s and BDSM/kinks. There are some trigger warnings and tropes involved that some may not be comfortable with. I think for me, Emily’s character development was the main thing that made the book! I would highly recommend this book! Fantastic read.
Enemies to lovers for sure! You can feel the tension between the two main characters. This is the first book in the series, but I recommend reading the prequel first. I found it very hard to put this book down to do anything! It kept me hooked until the end. Now I must read book 2!

Savage Lies is the second (well first actual) book in this duet that I have read, the first was the prequel to this series called Savage Start. After reading the prequel I wanted to read more of Riley and Cole’s story but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to read the prequel first but the author published it for a reason so it would make sense to start there. Savage Lies started out pretty much at the beginning (again) when they are moving into a new house but not looking for a new mark, yet? Or maybe never according to Riley’s mom. Her mom thinks she should stop worrying, take a break, and enjoy her senior year, but how can she when Cole Savage exists. This series is the ultimate bully to lovers romance. The characters are young, in high school, and I really like the dual point of view. There is a lot of suspense, and tension between the characters that keeps you turning pages wanting to find out what happens next and you are left with a cliffhanger at the end that makes you want to grab the next book right away.

Kingdom of the Hunters (Relic Hunters Book 6) by Martin Ferguson. This is the 6th and final installment in the Relic Hunter series and I have to say I’m a little sad its ending. In this book Matt and Adam Hunter find the lost city of Atlantis. In this book they find out what actually happened to their father and when the rest of their enemies attack the lost city they fight to save it. Duncan finally finds out who his mother is and even though the fate of the British Museum is left undecided I’m hopeful! This series is so fun and exciting full of mythology, treasure hunting, finding out fates and mystery. I have loved every word. Its geared toward young adults but I truly enjoyed it. I do recommend reading these in order to get a better understanding of the characters and their stories. Just a warning when you start this book you won’t want to put it down until you are done!

This is my first audio book by this author which I enjoyed listening to. It will take you on an adventure that you won’t soon forget. I enjoyed how the narrator used different tones to make the characters come to life. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start. The growth of the characters is great and I enjoyed how supportive they are of each other. A story that took me on an adventure that is full of action. It is a journey of an emotional connection that made the story hard to stop listening to. I look forward to picking up another audio by this author. I highly recommend this audiobook.

I was so excited to get back into this story and these characters. This series has been brilliant so far and this book is a fantastic addition. It was hard going into this story knowing it was the conclusion of the book and yet I couldn’t stop myself from reading it so quickly. This book was exciting and fast paced and I loved watching the characters develop even further. After six books, you expect to have seen everything from them and yet they all seemed to give so much more. I have enjoyed every single moment of this series and I am sad that this is the conclusion. But the best way to get over this is to read them all again. I would highly recommend not only this book but this whole series to any YA fan.

This book is an original story that offers a unique perspective on life. Every part of it is focused on the characters – their journey, what they go through, the narrative surrounding them. You can’t help but become invested in them. This is a new author to me and I really enjoyed how different this book felt most others I have read recently. It is a book that really makes you think and draws you in bit by bit. It has certainly piqued my interest about his writing style and has made me want to explore it more. This is my first read by this author. I’m looking forward to reading the previous 2 books in this series, followed by the fourth. This can be read as a standalone but I’m very interested in a deeper background on some of the characters in here.
Janey hands $300 to her brother and finds herself in a new location once the effect of the drugs she was given wear off. She wakes up in an unfamiliar place but not to completely unfamiliar voices and faces. Her captors want her brother and she has no idea where he is.
This book is super suspenseful, has some romance, lots of action and adventure, and a story that will keep you engaged throughout!

This is the 6th and final book in the Relic Hunters series. I won’t lie I am a little devastated that this is the last book as I have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The author has written an amazing series that has truly captivated me. Their attention to detail in the historical and mythology elements as well as the action and adventure in the present day really meant I couldn’t put them down.
We are back with Matt and Adam as they search for their father uncovering myths that they never imagined existed. This is really a moving and heart wretching story as we finally learn what happened to their dad all those years ago. The brothers have a lot to deal with. As well as the dangerous and heartbreaking journey they are on to discover the truth they are also fighting a danger closer to home as their enemies chase them down. Will Adam and Matt be able to save everything that their father and they have worked to protect at the British Museum? What other secrets will be uncovered?
I don’t want to give to much of the story away but I do recommend reading them from the beginning of the series. If you love history and mythology then you will love this series.

Another cute story with great meaning. I enjoy reading and discussing these with my grandkids. We meet a few new friends in this one. The illustration is well done and makes looking at the book very enjoyable for the younger kids. I look forward to more of Cray and his adventures.

Another smashing action packed romantic suspense story in this series! This one falls under the best friend little sister category, which I love. The characters are well done, believable and made me fall for them. We get to see a lot of the team which makes them more “known” quantities instead of just a flat one dimensional until their story pops up. This is very well done and I look forward to seeing more in this series.
