Book 2 in the Fall River series and I honestly had no idea it was the 2nd book in the series. I really enjoyed watching Charlie and Joy overcome their differences and work together on this project that was Joy’s moms home/business. This book was one that I couldn’t put down.

Joy has returned the the small town she never really had any intention to return to. With her mother now gone she must settle her estate. The sooner she gets that done the sooner she can return to her life in the city. The home and shop her mother owned is old and starting to crumble in some places. She would love to just tear it down but it protected by historical structure laws. She can sell it however she would need to put time and money into it which gives her a headache. Charlie, a local and a contractor, gives her an idea of what she is looking at at tries to persuade her to put in the effort to restore the place. They butt heads constantly but as they are both strong willed neither is really willing to back down. These two also share a mutual attraction that they refuse to acknowledge but the more time the spend together the harder it is to ignore. Who will win this war of wills?

This is the first book in the series about the Hunniutt brothers. Noah has a tavern that he is trying to keep afloat as well as impress his father. Along with that he is trying to keep his gold digging ex at bay and get rid of a hookup that keeps hanging on hoping for more. Hailey is a health inspector that wishes to be a well known name in the surfing circuit but also wishes to open her own business one day. These two get thrown together when they have an accident that is unintentionally cause by Hailey when she swerved to miss a dog. Things start to heat up between the two but there are forces outside of their control trying to keep them apart before they even truly get started. This was an enjoyable enemies to lovers romance.

There’s a reason that I’ve read numerous books by this author and keep coming back! They know exactly how to hook you and hold your attention from the very beginning to the last page. This is the second installment in the Fall River series, but you can read it as a standalone if you prefer. This story expertly weaves themes of love, loss, and the struggle between past and present. Joy and Charlie seem to be pretty opposite. I actually loved that the grumpy character was female for once while the sunshine was our male lead. The author skillfully develops both characters, allowing readers to empathize with their struggles. The dialogue crackles with wit an authenticity, letting you feel the chemistry that simmers beneath their conflicts. This is a heartfelt romance with high emotional stakes and plenty of sincerity. I highly recommend picking this up and getting lost for the weekend!

I’ve read multiple books by this author and for good reason. They have a brilliant way of crafting a story that pulls you in and refuses to let go. This is the first book in The Fall River series that is full of romance, drama, and adventure. I found myself rooting for both Hailey and Noah as soon as they were introduced. The chemistry between them sizzles and leaps off the pages. The story flows seamlessly, and it is more than your typical contemporary romance. Don’t let the page count put you off either because it sucks you in making it feel like a much shorter book. Pick this up if you’re looking to start a series with some spicy romance that will keep you on your toes!

I loved this second book of the series just as much as the first if not more! This wonderful author always creates such heartfelt relatable characters and fun storylines that I just can’t resist them. Charlie and Joy with their enemies to lovers storyline had me laughing as much as it did excitingly turning page after page to see what would happening next. I can’t wait for more fun in Fall River.

The Fixer (Fall River Series) by G. K. Brady. I’m loving this series and ready to move to Fall River. In this story we get to know Joy who left Fall River a long time ago and moved to the city to become something and she has succeeded. When her mom leaves her a historical run down building she has no choice but to go back. She is back in town for one reason only, demolish this old building and go back to the city. She asks around for the best person for the job and everyone recommends Charlie. Charlie is amazing at his craft but he restores old buildings and brings them back to life, he doesn’t destroy them. He’s mad at the fact someone wants to do that. Charlie & Joy begin by butting heads and it doesn’t get better anytime soon. Charlie informs Joy that she can’t destroy it because it is a historical property and to sell it she will have to restore it. Joy finally allows Charlie to restore it but that leaves her in town a lot longer than she planned. While there she spends more and more time with Charlie and while they do butt heads there is a attraction bubbling up as well. Such a fun small town romance!

What a fantastic start to what I know will be a great series! This very talented author has created a fantastic storyline and setting so that the readers are fully emersed and invested right from the very start. I know fell completely in love with all the wonderful characters not just the lead characters and I can’t wait to read more about them all. Noah and Hailey were so relatable and heart felt I was hoping for a happy ending right from the very first chapter. I’m off to read book 2 right now…I need more of Fall River.

After reading the first book in this series, I couldn’t wait to get straight into this book. This is a great addition to the series, and the right book to carry on from book 1. I loved getting to know Charlie and Joy’s characters. They had such opposing views on the building and yet they were clearly both drawn to each other. As with the first book, this one is well written and interesting to read. I was pulled into the story and enjoyed it from start to finish. I always enjoy this authors writing style and I am looking forward to what else this series has to offer.

Having read other books by this author, I was excited to see a new series. This is the start of a great romantic series, focused on two people who really shouldn’t have a connection with each other and yet it is there and undeniable either way. Their chemistry, and the push and pull between them was interesting to read about I thought the overall story was thoroughly enjoyable. I liked how it set the scene for what felt like not just the book for the series to come. I was invested in the story the author was telling and wanted to know more about the characters. For me, this is a strong start to a new series.

This is the second book in the Fall Rivers series. This is a very entertaining enemies to lovers romance set in a small town. There is drama, angst, family, and plenty of tension and chemistry, as two people who are complete opposites find themselves placed together. Joy Holliday is a city girl, who returns to the little town to sort out a property that has been left to her. All Joy wants is to tear it down and move back on with her life. However things aren’t straight forward. Joy needs to bring the building up to standards if she wants the sell it (tearing it down isn’t an option) and this is how she meets Charlie.
Charlie has fallen in love with the building and wants nothing more than to restore it to its former glory, however one thing he doesn’t want is to deal with the attitude of the now owner. Can they work together at least until this project is complete? And is all the attitude and animosity between them hiding a spark that threats to burn them both? This was an enjoyable read and I really enjoyed the tension and connection between Joy and Charlie. Even when they seemed like the worst match ever somehow it just works.

Joy does not want to be in River Falls, years of putting distance between her and her home town has been erased in one day. With her mom’s passing she has been called to deal with her mother’s estate but there is one glitch, her mother’s shop, to be able to sell it she has to bring it up to code and that’s were the bane of her life comes into play, Charlie Hunnicutt.
Charlie is an expert in restoration and loves his home town of River Falls, but when Helene daughter arrive she becomes the thorn in his side, not really caring about the town she is constantly pushing him and when the initial meeting did not go exactly as planned he starts doubting how he will win over this hard hitting woman.
As they start working together and get to see inside each other, sparks start to fly but can Joy invest in the relationship Charlie wants and needs.
This story is a enemies to lovers and is beautiful to read, although part of a series the book can be read as a stand alone story. The story weaves beautifully through the thoughts of Joy reliving some of the horrors of her past but then developing the feelings toward Charlie which she is conflicted with and not sure about.
I loved the character of Charlie and his laid back attitude was a great to counter balance to Joy’s straight forward ADHD mannerisms. The secondary characters also added an extra layer to the story. I can’t wait to read more of this series going forward.

Slow burn Small town romance Novella Quick read Enemies to lovers
It’s filled with tension, passion and heart! This is a well written story that is easy to read, emotional roller coaster with humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, heartwarming read.
Charlie and Joy have so many layers to them that are slowly revealed as their story continues. There’s definitely some twists I didn’t see coming. Overall I think this book is fantastic and I definitely recommend!

Charlie Hunnicutt is proud of Fall River, Colorado and the town he has put into bringing the town back to life one building at a time. He now has his sights set on Crystal Harmony Haven. Only thing is the stuffy women that stands in his way. Joy Holiday is only in Fall River to tie up the estate of her late mother Helene Holiday. But once she arrives and meets with Charlie, she realizes this is going to take way longer than she thought. Cause just tearing down the building is a huge no go in this small town. Who knew that a small town would have so many regulations on buildings that are as old as can be. Joy and Charlie must work together to bring the building up to code in order for joy to sell it. The only thing is they both start being a distraction for each other. And Joy is starting to think that Chicago may not be the right place for her now.

The title of this book is very suitable for this book, not only does Charlie preserve the old historical building but the characters also work on each other and to finally heal from the past experiences. The descriptions of the historical house as Charlie sees it, is definitely unique in how he sees what the potential can be. As for Joy, she just wants to get back to her fast-paced life in the city, however, her staying does bring her guard down. Overall, it’s a very good read.

So I really wanted to like this one. For me it was too slow moving along. There is a lot of day by day and second by second stuff that I felt was unnecessary. I did skim at times and felt I did not miss anything important to the storyline. There is quite a bit that happens in here so the excess seemed unnecessary to me. I liked the storyline (minus excess) and the connection between these two is wonderful. I like his friends and family. His oldest brother looks to have a good story especially since I already love Neve.
This is an okay story for me but I do love these characters. It has small town charm and some suspense mixed with romance. I was kept turning pages trying to figure everything out.

5 Stars The Fixer (Fall River Series) by G. K. Brady
The Fixer is the second book in the Fall River series and is a Enemies to Lover’s Contemporary Romance that is packed with drama, family, finding love unexpectedly, angst and so much more. I’ve read several books by this author and this is my favorite yet. This is Joy and Charlie’s story. She’s a fast paced city girl who upgraded from being a small town gal. Life is great until she finds herself back in the small town when she inherits her mom’s old building. She was to demolish it but Charlie has other ideas. He’s spent years restoring old Historical buildings. These two don’t see eye to eye and butt heads over every detail. Does Fate have a different idea? Can these two put aside their differences and get what they deserve? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

The Fixer is book 2 in the series and was a good read. I loved the characters. I loved how there was a real life story there and not just heat and steam ( that’s not so bad either but sometimes I good story is needed ) Joy had to leave Chicago and fly to Colorado after her mom passed to settle the estate. She planned to sell it or knock it down and be done with that small, dusty town. After meeting with Charlie, a local contractor, he advised her she can’t sell it or knock it down because it’s a historical building and needs to be brought up to code before she can sell it. Joys life changes for the better while she stays at Crystal Harmony Haven. Her skin looks healthier, she doesn’t need her meds, she’s gaining healthy weight and most importantly, she making friends….real friends that care for her. Charlie and Joy don’t exactly get along until, they realize maybe they dislike eachother so much because they are attracted to eachother. Everything goes well for them. Joy extends her trip until Charlie finds some disturbing letters hidden in the walls and she runs back to Chicago. While she’s in Chicago, things start happening at the work site known as her mom’s store. There’s a lot of suspense in this book and a sweet, clean, happy story of two people who think they finally found the missing link in their lives. Cannot wait to see what happens in book 3 with Reece and possible Neve?

The Keeper is the first book in The Fall River series by G.K. Brady. This book features an enemies to lovers romance that is on par with a Hallmark movie though with a little more spice. It follows Noah, small town bar tender and big time heartthrob, and Hailey, large city dreamer and county inspector. The love/hate relationship between kitchen inspectors and restaurant owners is well known. What happens when they start to see eye-to-eye? Find out in the small town of Fall River and meet the people you’ll be waiting to see again in the next book.

This is the 1st book in a series about Fall River,a small town in Colorado and 3 brothers who live and work there. This book is about the middle brother Noah, who is a bit of a player and bad boy. This story brings us Noah, and his latest venture, the town’s newest bar and restaurant. We also meet Hailey a kitchen inspector who has dreams or being a bookstore owner. This book has a little bit for everyone who enjoys a fun HEA – mistakenID, hidden Id, a big city girl and a small town guy. Theres plenty of steamy between these also. The opening book in this series definitely makes me want to read the rest.

This is the 2nd book in a series about Fall River a small town in Colorado and 3 brothers who live and work there. The youngest brother, Charlie is the male star and love interest in this one. There is snappy banter, funny lines and characters seen in the 1st book. Charlie falls for a his partner, in a renovation/ restoration project. She’s a sharp, smart power broker from Chicago named Joy. This is a very flirty, very we-don’t-like-each-other to we-can’t-stay-away-from-each-other. There’s flirtybantefr, wardrobe changes and lots of hot and steamy. Bonus: There’s a bright, sarcastic, fun loving wise cracking ever helpful assistant named Estelle. As a bright, sarcastic, fun loving wise cracking ever helpful woman named Estelle I wished she’d had a larger part 🙂

An opposites attract small town romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Health inspector Hailey attempts to save a lost dog during a blizzard, but causes a pickup truck to crash. Struggling tavern owner Noah did not expect to be rescuing the woman who caused him to wreck his truck. Hailey can’t believe Noah protected her from the storm and with her stranded in town she offers to wait tables for him. Noah is struggling to keep his tavern afloat whilst trying to impress his judgemental father and deal with a cheating ex-girlfriend and an obsessed hookup. Hailey can see herself having a life in the small town of Fall River, along with Noah. However, outside obstacles try to prevent their developing relationship. Noah and Hailey’s chemistry came across in the narrative, and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. Both the characters and the setting came to life making me feel immersed in the storyline. This lighthearted and heartwarming romance, with just enough steam had me hooked from page one.

Another enjoyable and engaging romance set in the small town of Fall River, this time with an enemies to lovers storyline. When Joy left the small dusty mining town for a city career she didn’t plan on returning. However, when she inherits her estranged mother’s dilapidated and crumbling building she returns with plans of demolishing it. For hometown boy and passionate preservationist Charlie he sees great potential in the historic building Joy now owns. Whilst Joy and Charlie clash over the fate of the building a battle of wills leads to a growing attraction. The chemistry between the likeable Joy and relatable Charlie really came across in the narrative. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the story and it kept me happily turning the pages. Once again the setting and small town feel was brought to life.

The Keeper is the first book in the Fall River Series and revolves around the three Hunnicutt brothers, and it’s an excellent start to what appears to be a promising series.
Noah has just opened his very own business, a tavern. He has made some bad decisions in the past. He wants to prove himself by being responsible and putting those mistakes behind him. Hailey is a restaurant inspector who dreams of opening her own bookstore one day. One snowy night will put these two on a course that will change their lives.
After the two spend a night together in a snowstorm, sparks fly. Each of them has personal demons to deal with, and outside forces threaten to derail their budding relationship before it gets off the ground.
Both characters are relatable and likable. I enjoyed their mutual respect for one another, and I also liked that there was a friendship between them as well. They were both incredibly supportive of each others’ dreams and did whatever was possible to help the other fulfill those dreams.
I loved the quirky characters; the author did a great job of creating this special little town. I could clearly envision each shop and business. There was a dash of suspense thrown in as well. When you add in a loveable dog or two, it’s almost perfection for me. Give the little town of Fall River a visit. I hope you like it as much as I did.

I was a massive fan of The Keeper, the first book of the Fall River Series, and this second book did not disappoint!
It’s now Charlie Hunnicutt’s turn to tell readers his story. He is a passionate preservationist who sees every structure as a living thing with a story to tell. He takes great pride in his projects. Joy Holiday has come to Fall River to settle her late mother’s estate, and she intends to return to her life in the city as quickly as possible. She wants to sell quickly. However, she has to bring the building up to code, and this is when Charlie enters the picture. The two repeatedly butt heads over the fate of the building. As the two are thrown together to see this project finished, they begin connecting on a much deeper level. But, how can two polar opposites find their way to lasting happiness?
I loved Charlie when I met him in the first book. He’s definitely easy on the eyes, but as I read more of the book, that falls away. The only thing I saw was his sweet soul. I admit it took a little longer for me to like Joy, but as I got to know her better, I saw that under her tough exterior was a little girl with a broken heart. She has to face her childhood issues if she is ever going to find happiness as an adult. She longs to have a family who loves her, and if she would let Charlie past the iron-clad walls surrounding her heart, he could give her that.
I was so happy to return to Fall River to see the characters I have come to love. I can’t wait to return with the third upcoming book!

K. Brady – Review by Christie Mitchum
The Fixer, a book title that could be taken literally and figuratively where this book is concerned. The author brings us a story with love, hate, animosity, admiration, and so much more. With two very strongly independent main characters that constantly butt heads. An intriguing story that sucks the reader in from the get go. Making it a great story to navigate especially with the growth and self discovery displayed throughout. One I would definitely read again! Joy needs to deal with her mother’s estate. The quicker the better. Only one problem: the building her mother’s home and shop is in is protected by historical structure laws. So she can’t tear it down, but she can’t sell it without putting work into it as well. In comes the annoying contractor(not so much annoying but to Joy he is.) Charlie gives her the rundown, while trying to push for a full restoration. In the end, as much as she infuriates him, it’s her decision in the long run. As they get to know one another and peel back each other’s layers they realize maybe they were both too quick to judge. Charlie is loved in his small town and Joy is a nobody. A nobody who’s discovering who she truly is along the way. But what about the feelings that start to creep in? Neither wants to truly acknowledge the attraction to the other. Will that become a problem? Also what will Joy decide about the building? She was given options. She’s also had creeps trying to undermine her contractor in favor of them. Will they become a problem? If you like novels that are filled with self discovery as well as romance. This book is definitely for you!

K. Brady – Review by Beverly Finnie
I know I’ve said it before but dang it these Hunnicut brothers are delectable 🥰🤣😉
So Charlie owns the renovation/construction company in town and he’s heart is in preserving the i story of the town so when Joy wants to “demolish” her aunts shop he’s quick to try and save it but Joy is a tough but to crack and she sure has her own ideas 🤣🙈
Joy Holiday a city girl just wants to get her business done in Fall River , she inherited her moms run down store “ Crystal Harmony Haven” and let’s just say she has attitude with a capital A and at first her and Charlie are at loggerheads and I’ll be honest I didn’t like her at first but then my heart thaws a little hee I see how she reacts to Charlie’s dogs I believe you can tell slit by the way a person treats animals do be patient with our little diva 🥰😉she’s very different to her quirky mom but every household has its cross to bear and tough times …..
Their road to HEA wasn’t easy and they’ve got a lot to deal with and work through but again they’ve got a brilliant support system in friends and family . I enjoyed their tension , steam and banter almost as much as I enjoyed Noah and Hailey but each couple owns my heart in a different way now it’s up to Reece to see if he can take their place 🤩😉 ( I’m excited for his story)

I’d the cover is anything to go by these Hunnicut boys are blessed with good looking genes 🥰😋😉and they’re “royalty” in their home town Fall River
Noah is about to open “ Miners Tavern “ and his nerves are frayed and his not so friendly neighbour Bruno , his neighbour down the toad and his investor from Aspen are trying their best to thwart its existence but they forget Noah has a brilliant support system in daily and friends but I still feel his tension …..
Hailey , our surfer girl turned health inspector is on her way to visit her sister but has an inspection to do on her way swerves for a dog in a storm and almost causes another accident when Noah swerved out for her , her car is in for repairs and she now finds herself and heart at the mercy of the folks of a Fall River and not only does she fall in love with the Yuen and it’s people but Noah owns her heart ❤️
Dixie , the Tavern manager if you like is a real hoot but she’s got a heart of gold she made me snort laugh on more than one occasion🤣and although I didn’t have much time for the wicked Ursula she does redeem herself so be open minded with her and of course there’s Bruno , what a chop 🙈and let’s not forget the sleazy Cliff 🤮 keep your eye on him and your fists bunched up he’s a real snake .
Rover aka Alex Luthor aka Chance is a real sweetheart 🥰🦮🐾 and could melt any ice capped heart especially with his history but fear not he’s landed with his furry butt in the gutter and is adored by all 🥰
I loved every page of this read and the people of Rivet Fall just climb into your heart and it’s a place where friends become family ❣️
Yes there was a bit of tension and yes I shed a tear it 2 but I laughed more than anything else because the people are just so real !
I can’t wait to see what happens with Charlie Joy 🤩

I have read a few books from this author and she always blows my mind with her characters. This is the second book in the amazing Fall River series. I love good enemies but this story exceeded my expectations. This book could be read as a standalone but there are previous characters in this book as well. I was so excited to read this book that I started it right away and couldn’t stop until the end. You can’t help but to fall in love with these two characters. I absolutely loved their banter with each other. I can’t wait to see who she will write about next.
Joy loves her city life in Chicago and she never wants to go back to the small towns again. She is shocked when she finds out that she now has inherited her moms old shop called Crystal Harmony Haven in Fall River. Joy has had some good memories in that building but she wants to tear it down so she can get back to her city life. When she meets the very handsome Charlie she knows he will get the job done. Joy is upset when she finds herself fighting with Charlie about this building. He wants to restore it because of the history so she is stuck in this small town once again. Will Joy get the job done and leave or will she find herself in love with the small town once again? Review by @heatherbass
