Finding Bryce (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 1) by Debra Parmley – Review by Torey Foster

Finding Bryce (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 1)Finding Bryce by Debra Parmley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Finding Bryce is a happily ever after sort of story. Pippa has left her ex husband in jail, changed her name and started a new life. She doesn’t go out a lot but one night finds herself out at a masked party, with a friend, and unexplainably drawn to a handsome stranger. She uncharacteristically has a one night stand, and to keep the excitement alive, they do not exchange information or even remove their masks. 9 months later, baby Bryce is born and Pippa has no way to tell the masked stranger that is his father. When Pippa and little Bryce are suddenly in danger, Diesel is the only one who might be able to save them.
I have to start by saying that I think that this could be an amazing story. It has a great storyline, now it just needs someone to fill in the details. I enjoyed reading it but was left wanting a lot more. I am someone who likes to get lost in the book. I like them to come alive so I can imagine the story happening as it unfolds. This book did not feel like you were there watching it happen. Instead it felt more like someone was telling you a crazy story that happened to their friend a long time ago. There was not time to develop the characters or their relationships.
I think that the author had a great idea for a story and it is a solid foundation. Now it just needs to start building on that foundation. That being said, if you are someone who enjoys their books short and sweet, you will probably really enjoy this novel.

Real Movie Hero (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 2) by Debra Parmley – Review by Torey Foster

Real Movie HeroReal Movie Hero by Debra Parmley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Real Movie Hero is a story of a man named Reed, who is excited to sit and watch a good movie that he won tickets for, and even more excited when a beautiful girl sits next to him. But his luck took a turn for the worse when an man started shooting up the theater. He jumps into the role of protector and is intrigued as the girl steps up to help too, even though it is clearly out of her comfort zone.
Like the first book in this series, this book has a great foundation and some great ideas behind it, but for me, lacks authenticity, due to it’s lack of details and story building. It is like someone is telling you a story that happened to someone else and they are summing it up, without going too far into detail. If you enjoy short stories that you can read quickly, you will definitely enjoy these books. If you are someone who likes to imagine it happening as you read, you will probably be left wanting more.
I still recommend it, as the story is entertaining, as long as you know you are getting the quick version.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. The characters in this book were great. They had a strong chemistry and really hit it off from the moment they met. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop as the book went on.
The story was pretty fast paced and I found that I could get through the book quickly. I think it would have benefitted from being a longer story with more detail but overall it was enjoyable. For me this is the right kind of book to lose yourself in for a few hours. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.

Real Movie Hero (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 2) by Debra Parmley – Review by M Policicchio

Real Movie HeroReal Movie Hero by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this addition to the series, Reed is in the process of getting ready for Diesel’s wedding when he wins two passes to a local movie premier. Not finding anyone available to go with him, Reed goes by himself. A beautiful woman happens to sit next to Reed. When things start popping off at the premier, Reed uses his training to bring a quick end to a potentially devastating event. Not even knowing her name, Reed enlists the beautiful woman sitting next to him to assist him in providing first aid to those in need.

Christy, the beautiful woman, is happy to help. Christy finds herself attracted to this “real life hero”. Reed decides to help Christy become more secure in her environment by teaching her to shoot. When Reed gets sent on a mission and can’t reach out to let Christy know he had to go, Christy doesn’t understand. The minute Reed comes back, his thoughts are about her and he speeds to her place. Reed explains that he doesn’t always get to say goodbye when they get called for a mission. But that is the life of a Navy SEAL partner, if she wants to undertake it.

Christy is a little too naive for me. I get that she was out of it after the premier and probably wasn’t paying attention to where she stopped for gas. But that kind of thing seemed to keep happening. I was happy when she got the puppy. That was a step towards her independence. I am also glad they were taking the relationship slow. Still a solid entry in the series. Looking forward to the next ones!

Real Movie Hero (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 2) by Debra Parmley – Review by Beverly Finnie

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the 3rd book I’ve read in The Green Brotherhood series and I feel like it’s the best one and most put together. For a book on the shorter end Real Movie Hero I enjoyed it. Fair warning it could very well be a trigger warning for some. I do enjoy this author, I just wish the books were a little longer. I always want more whenever I finish one. The one thing I know I can count on, is all these storylines overlap, so though 1 book might be done but the next one overlaps at a point. Which makes me enjoy the author more.
Both Reed and Christie won tickets on the radio to the next great action movie’s premiere. What they didn’t know was how that night would change their lives. Initially drawn to one another after experiencing a traumatic event they are thrust into each other’s paths. Bringing them even closer together.
Will Reed be the next Seal to fall?
Will Christie get past her fears?
The author hooks you and by the time you’re into it, it’s over and you’re wanting more. This book as well as the series are worth checking out. Especially when you don’t have a lot of time. If you enjoy reading but have little time these shorter books are perfect for you!

The author shares enough personality in character development to feel a connection to the main characters. There is a balance within the romance that made this an easy to read book. While some of the storyline wasn’t relatable, which I typically prefer, it was still enjoyable to read. Definitely a quick read worth your time.

Real Movie Hero (Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII Book 2)

The way Christie and Reed meet is anything but ideal but at the same time trauma can help bring two people together.

What starts out as one of the worst nights of her life ends up turning into a completely different story for the two of them.

I think Reed is my favorite so far, could be the Texas thing but I think it is more than that. Another short but interesting story about this SEAL team and can’t wait to see who falls next.

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up by her. Her books are engaging, hard to put down and this one is no different. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into their world from the start. They are connectable and bring romance and action to another level. They have great growth as well as bring a lot to the story. This is a well written story that is fast paced and one you don’t want to miss. A story about what happens when you get a last minute movie ticket and the unexpected things that happen. You need to read this book to find out what happens next for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This book is the second in a series. It reads just fine as a stand alone. I enjoyed the story, but I definitely wished there was more! Christie Anderson attends a movie premiere and meets Reed Tindal. Reed’s protective nature takes over when someone shoots during the movie. I felt like the characters were relatable, and I could see myself in Christie. The language in it was mild which I personally liked. It was a sweet, relatable short story that was fun and fast to read.

Real Movie Hero by Debra Parmley is the second book of the Green Brotherhood: Seal Team XII series. Although I had not read the first book of the series, I found it very easy to read. This book definitely works as a stand-alone. Reed and Christine are 2 strangers that meet at the movie premiere of Turn and Deliver. They find themselves facing an active shooter and Reed takes charge and protects Christine and the others. I found this story very enjoyable. Reed and Christine have great chemistry. I loved how at ease he made Christine feel. The plot was fun and action-packed. The story draws in and the writing is great. Time flew as I read this story. It is a definite page-turner.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another action packed military romantic suspense which had me happily turning the pages. A fairly quick read but a great storyline and I was hooked throughout. Christie is excited to be attending the movie premiere of Turn and Deliver, a new action, adventure movie on the anniversary of D-Day. Having been looking forward to a fun girls night out all dressed up she is upset when her friend cancels, leaving Christie to go to the theatre alone. Meanwhile, Marine Reed was lucky and won a ticker via his local ration station, and he can’t believe his luck when a very attractive young lady sits in the seat next to him. Christie can’t ignore how handsome the Marine next to her is, but she’s even more thankful for sitting next to him when a live shooter fires into the crowd. Reed must act quickly and use all his skills to get himself, Christie and the others out alive, and take down the shooter. This is a fast paced story full of action, drama, suspense and romance, in which the characters and the setting come alive through the descriptive narrative. I’m enjoying this series and look forward to book 3.

Real Movie Hero
By: Debra Parmley

I have read every single one of the Green Brotherhood so far and each one is amazing in their own way. I do want to mention that this book most definitely would work as a standalone if you have not read the others. However, I will say that this book exceeded my expectations and is by far and away my favorite thus far. Reed and Christie are amazing characters and their love story is almost fated. I loved their chemistry and how Reed is take charge and took care of Christie from the beginning, even before he knew her. I also loved how he wanted to take Christies fears and nurture her so that she would become less afraid. This was evidenced in their first date – and I have to say I absolutely loved that date. Debra left nothing to the imagination, it was so easy to imagine how both of them reacted as their date went on and how Reed worked to ease Christie’s fears. I really was rooting for them from the start. I also loved how Christie was a flawed character who was nervous to date again. I read this book in less than a day and I definitely recommend it for a feel good love story.

This the second book in the Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII series. I have loved these stories and thus was was no different. It is a military romance so it is full of danger and action as well as having a romance that is passionate and captivating.
I love how the protectiveness of Reed spills over not only in his professional life but also around the woman he cares about. Their meeting was dangerous and unexpected but you could feel the attraction straight away between them.
Reed is definately a movie action hero in real life.
I can’t wait to see if other members of the Green Brotherhood find their HEAs.

Real Movie Hero is the second book in the Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII series by Debra Parmley. It is a military romantic suspense with SEALs, danger, tension, chemistry, sizzle, intrigue, emotion, action, a protective Alpha-type hero, and dramatic developments.
This is another short story in this series, and my favourite so far. It’s a very quick, and easy read. I read it in the time it took me to have my lunch.
As I have mentioned previously with some of Ms. Parmley’s other books, that though this story is complete, and an interesting read, I would have preferred it to be much longer, more detailed, and a ‘meatier’ story… because then I would have had more time to fully immerse myself in the story, really get to know the characters, and for them to have more time to fully develop. Plus, who doesn’t want to spend a longer time between the covers with a hot and hunky SEAL?
I did like the story, and as I said, it is definitely my favourite of Ms. Parmley’s books, so far….
Happy Reading!

Thank you, Debra Parmley!

Real Movie Hero is a SEAL Team romance read! The only issue I have with these books are that the stories are over before they get really, really good and are far too short. That doesn’t mean I don’t like them because I do.
With suspense and action, intrigue and danger, tension angst, chemistry and fierce passion and determination there is enough to keep the pages turning. A fierce protector SEAL man who wants what he wants.
Who doesn’t like a real life movie hero? You will have to read it to find out. No spoilers here.
I have said it before but I will say it again, if you enjoy sexy, strong, heroic men then grab copies of the Green Brotherhood: SEAL Team XII series as they have it all.

Another enjoyable but done too soon read about the hot and alpha SEALS.

Cutter is a good guy who wants to avoid getting burned again. He being a SEAL means he is willing to go further than the average man to protect his loved ones. He learned how far he would need to go.

Zarifah loves to dance, it has brought her so much happiness over the years, but it has also caused her pain but not the way you think.

A fast standalone that references the earlier books, but it doesn’t take long to figure out who is who. Looking forward to the next one.

I LOVE books by Debra Parmley! She always knows how to grab my attention from the get-go, and Saving the Bellydancer is no exception. I enjoyed getting to know Cutter even though I would love to learn more about him. His drug of choice is strippers…and while it seems shallow, he truly admires their grace and athletic capabilities. He wonders if he will ever find anyone that will make him feel something more. Zarifah is an ex-gymnast who turned to belly dancing. When she meets Cutter, you can feel the chemistry jump off the page. There are plenty of steamy scenes as well as drama and suspense with Zarifah’s ex barging into one of her performances. Will Cutter be able to protect her, or will their journey end before it truly begins? I highly recommend picking up this book AND this series!

This is a very quick read so if you are looking for a quick, but solid romance this is the story for you. I will preface this with saying there are some TWs such as domestic violence and abuse so please know that going in. I really loved how well the author handled this topic. Parmley did it with grace and kindness while still underscoring the harshness of it. One of my favorite aspects of the book was Cutter’s relationship with his grandmother. It’s very cute and realistic. Cutter and Zarifah’s relationship is dramatic from the get go, but they each learn that being in a relationship is not only about loving the other person, but also about loving yourself. I loved the quickness of this read but without loosing any complexity. Parmley was able to develop characters and plot lines in a very short amount of time. Great read!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Pippa wanted nothing more than to protect her child and herself. Pippa feared her ex-husband, knowing how volatile he could be. So she did the only thing she could do, she ran. She ran and escaped Stan, but the fear of him catching up to her is something she thought would never leave her.
One day, Pippa receives a call, saying that Stan is in jail. Pippa feels such glee that she gives into her desires and has a night of passion with a handsome gladiator she met at a Halloween masquerade party.
No names, no contact, no information on the other person; just a night filled with passion. And unbeknownst to both of them, from that night of passion was born a child, a boy named Bryce, their son.
After Bryce turns 2, Stan is out of prison, and he finds Pippa and Bryce, and kidnaps both of them.
Thankfully Diesel, (our handsome gladiator) is a Navy Seal, and was already on his way to find Pippa after finding out she has a son, and the child is his.
I highly recommend reading this book with all its twists and turns and suspense and thrills! I promise you’ll love it!!
