So many wonderful things in this book. Seriously cannot put to words how I appreciate and love the author’s ability to provide the reader with levity, humor, romance, and realism in this book. She had me engaged, enthralled, and laughing while reading of social injustice and possible romance. It is a delicate balance that caused this reader to be unable to put the book down before finishing. Nix has a distinct voice and writing style and contributes to a beautifully written book that is relevant and still fun. Highly recommend.

This study on human emotion and character development was gripping and haunting. Not my typical pick in the suspense category; however, I felt the author wrote a compelling tale and one that is quite a study of human character. Interesting story.
