Well I’m not sure where to start with this wonderful book but after reading the first sentence I knew I would be hooked. Having only read a couple of novels by this author before I knew just by looking at the amazing cover that I was in for a great read and I definitely wasn’t wrong. Not only did this author provide us with an amazing story as a whole, but she brings together two completely opposite characters to tie this story all together like a perfect Christmas bow. There is definitely a lot of emotion in this book, and it definitely takes us on an emotional ride, but trust me when I say it’s definitely worth the read.

Susan Renee knocked this right out of the park. A romantic and a romance cynic meet and it’s all about changing minds! I enjoyed this book so much! It was lighthearted, steamy and funny! A new author for me and truly glad I stumbled on this one! Author drew us into the story making us feel like we are sitting front and centre with a bowl of popcorn hoping and waiting to see the outcome! I was so engrossed in this book I even burnt a batch of cookies! Really a great read!

There’s nothing I like better at this time of year than reading a good, holiday romance, and Susan Renee hit this one out of the park!

Tenley and Teagan are not quite enemies, but they find themselves worlds apart on their ideas of finding lasting love. Tenley is a cynic when it comes to romance. She has her own podcast, Practical Adult Relationships, where she trashes the idea of love and has no intention of ever falling in love herself! On the other hand, Teagan has his own blog, and he is known as the Love Guru. He is a believer in finding and keeping love yet he hasn’t found that special someone yet. By chance, he invites her to Hawaii for an all-expense paid trip for a week at a couple’s retreat. It’s more of a challenge…if she doesn’t fall in love, he will donate a hefty sum to her podcast. And, Tenley, being Tenley, cannot resist this challenge, not only for the money but to prove to the Love Guru once and for all that love doesn’t exist. Let the games begin!!!!

The attraction between these two is electric despite their dislike of one another. Therefore, the banter between them is fantastic!!! I also liked the fact that Susan Renee kind of turned the story on its head for me. She made the female character the cynic, and the male character the one who believes in the magic of love. I was on his side from the beginning, and I kept hoping he would get her to fall for him!

She also did something different with her characters’ voices. Tenley and Teagan both have their own chapters. We are given their conversations, but we are also given their inner thoughts, so we know exactly how they feel about one another, even though they don’t! I loved that!!!!!

One of my favorite parts of the book was at the end when Renee went into detail about the other couples who are there. They have appeared in her other books, and she actually included the titles of those books so I can easily find them to read. I’m really glad I took a chance on Susan Renee. She has found a new fan in me!

This book was awesome! The banter back an forth between this couple is hilarious! Its like the elementary school phrase “the more they tease it means they like you”. Their spark is unbelievable, not to mention they get to enjoy Hawaii together for a week! The name alone tells you what kind of Rom Com this is an a must read!

Kamana Wanalaya by Susan Renee. I loved this fun holiday read. Its the story of Tenley who has a podcast about relationships. Tenley gives practical advise and she’s often grumpy and cynical. Teagan is the “love guru” and thinks everyone deserves love. He goes on another podcast and calls Tenley out and tells her he will take her on a all expense paid vacation if she will have an open mind and fall in love. If she doesn’t fall in love he will donate $10,000 to her podcast. Win/Win situation right so of course she takes him up on it. While on the vacation they spend a lot of time together and there are laughs, tears and fun all around. I loved the chemistry between the two. They are like fire/ice in their personalities but they do well together too. Read this fun, laugh out loud romance with a little spice to start your holiday’s off on the right foot!

Snow in Love by Libby Kay is a short and entertaining contemporary sports romance set during the holidays. It is my first read by Libby Kay, so I was curious to see what I would find between the covers. It turned out to be a sweet and spicy story featuring a bad boy and a golden girl, Paralympians focused on their winning gold, never expecting to win something far more valuable. Well worth the read to find out how these two opposites attract and find love unexpectedly.
Christmas. Spice. Emotion. Sports. & plenty of Fun!

I loved everything about this book! I didn’t catch onto the title and its funniness until I said it out loud. The main characters are total opposites and you know that opposites attract. Teagan the Love Guru and Tenley the practical adult relationship podcaster TJ on Par. The Love Guru invites TJ on Par to a week at a Hawaiian resort to try and turn her onto the idea of love after she talks about him on her podcast. Of course she takes him up on a week in Hawaii and a check for $10,000 if she doesn’t fall in love. He loves to push her buttons from the very beginning and she is a strong and opinionated woman. They show up to the hotel during a couples week and get matched up with some great characters that we learn more about through Teagan and Tenley’s stories and also a chapter for each couple. This book had the Hawaiian islands, sun, sand, and fun adventures. It also had a lot of funny and real life moments and some steamy scenes. I liked that the author talked in the end about the characters and that most of them are from her other books that I now need to read! I hope that she comes out with more because I read this one in a day and truly enjoyed every page!

Snow In Love was cute. I enjoyed the Roma ace between the Golden Girl and the Hot Rod ladies man. I really enjoyed reading about Connor. He was more than what met the eye. Although his accident was awful and it felt like he lost apart of himself, it also helped him find out who he really wanted to be. Although I liked Sienna the childish outburst and tantrums she had kind of annoyed me. I understand that she was sheltered and her profession took over her life but she was around 25 (I think). She could’ve tried to sit her mother down and had a conversation. Anyways, that didn’t take away from the book though. The stark contrast between Karl and Vlad was interesting. Each coach wanted to bring out the best but Karl nurtured it while Vlad tried to bring it out through fear. I do recommend this book for romance lovers.

Kamana Wanalaya for the Holidays by Susan Renee is a fun contemporary romance, with plenty of humour, fun, and banter. An opposites attract, enemies to lovers story about finding love unexpectedly, where our grinch ‘n’ sunshine MC’s are thrown together for the holidays in Hawaii.
Tenley doesn’t believe in all the romantic trappings, love at first sight, white-picket-fences, or even HEA’s- her dedicated podcast extols staying single, offering practical advice on adult relationships and how to avoid the mess of romantic entanglements.
Teagan is the quintessential love guru- his optimistic outlook on romance encourages all things romance and finding love. When his latest article about a couple’s retreat in Hawaii receives quite negative critique from Tenley, Teagan throws out a challenge for her to join him on an all- expense-paid holiday there. If Teagan can’t manage to get her to fall in love, then he will put his hand in his pocket and her podcast will receive a substantial payout. With these two having such drastically different views on love, being stuck together in a romantic Hawaiian setting is sure to shake things up…. and it does in ways neither of them expects… what ensues made for quite an entertaining read.
A sweet, fun, slow-burn, and witty romantic comedy.
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Susan Renee!

I love this book so much! I knew I was going to love it after just reading a few pages! I love a good Christmas romance and now I’m getting even more into the holiday spirit! Connor and Sienna are perfect for each other! Connor was in a terrible accident and his life changed forever. Sienna was born the way she is and that doesn’t stop her from achieving everything she has wanted! But when her mother makes her feel more like an object than her daughter/human being…it makes sienna realize she wants something else in life. A life of happiness and freedom. Connor and sienna meet at a ski lodge around the holidays and at first they teased one another but it turned into something more than they ever thought. Short read and I loved every page! Highly recommend!!!!!

I really liked the dynamic between Connor and Sienna. This book was a very quick read but had a well thought plot. I really appreciated the detail to their mental and physical growth overcoming the obstacles they both had. Sienna’s mom frustrated me but I appreciated Sienna persevering and taking one for herself. I really liked the match up of Connor and Sienna. Both had something to offer the other in a relationship no one saw coming. Sienna was hoping for a break but her mother cancels her vacation and demands more training for the Paralympics. Reluctant, she attends a semi private training session at a vacant hotel and meets former Motocross bad boy, Connor, who lost his own leg in a crash. The two shouldn’t have commonalities, but the more time they get alone, the more the attraction develops. The Paralympic angle is nice and shines an eye on a sport we don’t often talk about. Nice and quick read that gives you a feel good ending.

Connor and Sierra are two skiers at a local lodge meeting up to train. Poor Sierra feels like a brand and all she wants is to feel like a woman. Connor is coming to terms after losing his leg in a motocross accident. This is a beautiful romance written in such a way that you feel their pain and the emotions felt as they come to terms with trying to make this relationship work. Even the antagonist, Beverlly, Sienna’s mom, is a bit of a troublemaker but you still feel for her. I enjoyed the story. It was a fairly quick read with a simple plot. Quite entertaining with a little fun in there. You root for Conner and Sierra. A quick Christmas read that would make a great read for those snowy nights by the fire with hot cocoa.

Snow in Love is my first foray into Libby’s romance tales. This is a sports enemies to lover’s romance set in an Aspen winter wonderland that should be read cuddled up in front of the fire with a nice hot drink or in my case stretched out in the sun for a few hours of escape.

Snow in Love follows 2 Paralympians who are good at what they do with plenty of passion but not so good when it comes to their personal lives. There is laughter, a little bit of steam but there is also lots of emotions due to their pasts and coming to grips with it. The question is can they move on and open their hearts to what could be? To find out you will have to read it to find out.

There is a lot of push and pull to make the journey interesting to say the least.

If you are a fan of sports romances, you will enjoy this enemies to lovers Christmas tale by Libby Kay.

This was such a good read, kept me interested, great characters, and a sweet story! Perfect for this time of year I must say! I very much enjoyed it, I was very much invested in the hopes and dreams of the characters!

Christmas, Romance, and Achieving a future…how could I not love it. I loved Connor and Sienna. Both have that instant chemistry, but she wants to take the Gold medal. Connor has fear holding him back. I loved how things were not instant, they had to find common ground, not just with their future goals, but a chance at igniting this spark into a flame. The book was a quick read, but full of impact. You are never too late in life to achieve your goals. Loved this holiday read, and honestly you will too! It will melt your heart!

Wonderful romance and powerful read. It is impossible not to love the author or how they use their writing skill! Easy to dive in and follow! Fun read and get you into the holiday spirit! Highly recommend!

This is a great holiday read. It is a fast paced story that keeps you turning the pages. This is exactly what everyone needs during the holiday season. This book is just the right length to feel like you can actually read the whole thing during the holiday season. With always being on the go and places to be, this book would be a great companion on road trips to visit families or to just snuggle on the couch for a few hours. The characters have substantial growth through this quick read. There are obstacles that they have to overcome. It has the classic bad boy that everyone loves and gets our blood pumping right away. The holiday traditions helps melt him enough to be able to fall for the girl of his dreams. I can’t stress enough how amazing this short book is. It is a must read for the holiday season.

Real and humorous. A mixture of story and texts, this is the funniest I have ever read. It’s the first I’ve read of this author. I’m going to go back and read about the other couples from the week. What could be more fun than spending a week in Hawaii right before the holidays?

I’ll tell you.

Inviting the grumpiest stranger I’ve never met to join me.

She is Tenley Shay, the voice behind TJ ON PAR, a podcast for Practical Adult Relationships, who spends her days touting her disapproval of love and the practicality of remaining a single-bell for life.

When I, as my Love Guru persona, publish an article about spending a week at a couple’s retreat at my favorite Hawaiian resort, she’s quick to pass on her cynicism. So, I’m calling her bluff and inviting her on an all-expense paid trip to the Kamana Wanalaya Resort for a little R&R before the holidays.

If I can’t get her to fall in love, I’ll donate to her podcast.

But once we finally meet and are coupled together for the week, I find myself attracted to her feisty antics and her twisted sense of humor. Now I think I might be in way over my head.

Can I really ask the world’s biggest relationship cynic to risk everything, forget about her thoughts on love and take a real chance, with me?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I fell absolutely in love with her writing. This was an amazing book that I could read over and over again. It had my full attention from the very beginning to the end.
The pandemic knocked Carina flat. Now that she is home from a months-long hospital stay, she hopes to have a big family Christmas. But no one seems to care. Her husband is working out of town and her grown children are scattered all around the country. The only one who seems to understand is a young man in her grief group. He offers her his family cabin in the mountains of Colorado. There, she is guaranteed to have a white Christmas, something she hasn’t had in a long time. She writes about it in her journal, trying to convince herself she can do it alone. But it still doesn’t seem possible. She isn’t adventurous, she’s always been everyone else’s caregiver.
I look forward to reading more of her books in the near future.
