This was such a lovely Christmassy read and one that I really enjoyed. It was really well written and engaging. I loved the characters Sienna and Connor, they both had their own issues to overcome but also something in common that brought them together. They really did have a genuine connection. I really did feel this genuine connection with the characters and I really came to care about them – I genuinely was rooting for them the whole way through. I felt for Sienna at times with her overpowering Mother. Overall this was a lovely story and one that I would highly recommend. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

4.8/5 Stars This was such a fun read! I was instantly capitulated by the different character dynamics. I love when it’s the man who’s the major romantic. This movie reminded me of a steamy version of a hallmark movie. It was such a light, airy read. Very well written and entertaining.

If you are looking for a fun and hilarious romantic comedy that would be perfect to transport you out of the cold and in the mood for the holidays, then this one is for you!
Kamana Wanalaya for the Holidays by Susan Renee follows Teagan, the love Guru and Tenley the love Cynic as they both try to prove each other wrong on their view of love. It all goes down when Teagan invites Tenley during an interview to a couples retreat at a beautiful Hawaiian resort. If she doesn’t fall in love with love, then he will donate to her podcast. So how will this go? Which will prevail…love or cynicism?
This book was so enjoyable. I laughed out loud a few times at the banter between the main characters while being jealous I wasn’t the one celebrating the holidays in Hawaii. Grab a drink, throw on some shades, and enjoy this quick and spicy read.
Happy Reading!

Fun holiday Rom-Com What an enjoyable read. Teagan and Tenley are a hoot. What starts as rivalry ends up as fireworks. This rom-com had me laughing, shaking my head and cheering at the shenanigans of these two. I loved the island setting. The author has balanced the romance, wit and steam just right and has a delivered a strong dual POV story that will appeal to a wide audience. Recommend.

Do not be put of by the strange name of this book as it is a really great story. Described as a grinchy/sunshine holiday romance, the author got this spot on. As my first time reading this author’s work, I was pleasantly surprised by a great story that flowed well and characters that I really engaged with. Don’t be scared of trying out authors who are new to you as there are really some gems out there and this belongs to that category. Tenley, who doesn’t believe in love is invited to beautiful Hawaiian paradise of Kamana Wanalaya by Teagan, the self-confessed Love Guru to prove to her that love really is something to believe in and to hope for. I loved Teagan and Tenley’s story. There is so much banter between the two of them that makes for some fun, enjoyable reading. Their chemistry is off the charts hot and makes for some steamy scenes in the book. So can Teagan convince Tenley that love is something to wish for? Will she fall in love with the beautiful resort of Kamana Wanalaya? And will she fall in love with the beautiful, amazing, sweet man that is Teagan? I’d recommend you read this great book and find out the answers.

This sounded like an interesting story and I have read one other book by this author so I grabbed it. I was not as pleased with it as the previous one I read. It has a few funny moments but not a lot of laugh out loud (other than the sneeze comment). It seemed slowish and I found myself in the beginning skipping a bit. Once the story got going it was cute. Their interactions with each other are ideal.
In here there are a lot of secondary characters at the resort. I “felt” they must be previous characters as some of them get their own chapters (which is something I did not understand through most of the book). I see at the end they are from other books she has written. I like that idea but honestly I did not care when I was reading since I did not know them.
Overall this is cute and I liked it for the most part. The story was different and the two main characters both have strong beliefs for their cause. The grinch was the female which is a different angle and he is Mr Sunshine.

First things first, this is the first time I’ve read anything by Susan Renee, but it will not be the last. And this isn’t even my go-to genre. FUN- There is so much fun in this book, starting with the title. Don’t believe me? Just sound it out for yourself. There’s a fun bet between The Grinch and The Love Guru, and so much more spicy fun. FUNNY – Read the first line of the book, and then tell me that it isn’t funny. I mean, we’ve heard the line many times before, but it actually made me laugh out loud this time. There are all kinds of funny quips and bits. MORE FUN – As I said before, this was my first time to read anything by Susan Renee, but apparently, she has lots of books, and in those books, she has lots of lovable characters. She has interlaced the different characters of the different books into this spicy, holiday, rom com! How cool is that?!? Now, pardon me while I go get to know the other characters in their own stories.

This book is a quirky, fun read. It will be great to take along on vacation. It is equally as good to help as you recover from the flu this winter! It is romantic versus cynic in a wowzer of a showdown. Readers are treated to an amazing setting with romance juxtaposed amongst a comedy of errors.

This book was an amazing read. Although the timeline is centered around Christmas time it’s not an overly Christmasy book. A seven-day vacation at a beautiful family-owned resort in Hawaii. Who wouldn’t want to go on that trip? The same thought goes through the mind of Tenley when the offer presents itself.
Tenley runs her own podcast talking about relationships. The way she views them is very different from the man that invites her on this trip. This trip is not just for fun it has a little challenge thrown into the mix as well. Teagan is a happy go with flow type of man. His mouth does get him in trouble quite often in this book. Having two determined people with differences in opinions will make for a smooth trip, right?
What happens when you have two people stuck at a resort together for seven days? Can seven days be enough time to change someone and their beliefs? Will this vacation in complete and utter disaster? Read this amazing book to find out the answers.

This book was just so much fun. Tenley and Teagan are just perfect. I love how they banter back and forth, both not entirely wrong in their thinking. Yet they both need to be open to the other. All the characters were just so engaging. The title totally gave me a laugh. I will definitely be adding this author to my list to read.

A perfect short story for Christmas time. I love Conner and Sienna together! And I love that this book is centered around the Paralympics. This book has the perfect amount of drama, romance and sweet and funny moments. Sienna’s mom is super annoying and really got to me, I was glad to see Sienna stand up for what she wanted. Both Sienna and Conner didn’t let their missing limbs stop them from going after what they wanted and living their lives to the fullest. Conner had to work at accepting his new life as an amputee, Sienna was born that way, and I think the way she embraced it helped Conner to not be as self conscious about his.

A fantastic beachy holiday read. I have never spent a holiday anywhere warm, unless New England happens to be unusually warm, but reading this I was instantly transported there. At first when I read the Title, I was having trouble figuring out the pronunciation, then I said it out loud and instantly started laughing out loud. I couldn’t wait to dive in and it literally started delivering first sentence! I don’t even know where to begun on how much I enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, they were relatable and enjoyable to spend my time with. I wasn’t able to read this in one sitting but if things like taking care of children and going to work didn’t get in the way I could have easily sat and devoured this book. If you are lucky enough to go somewhere warm and tropical this holiday season and need a poolside/beach read this is it! If you’re like me and just need to mentally escape to somewhere warm, this is it!

The perfect quick read to get you in the holiday spirit. Snow in Love by Libby Kay is a short and sweet (and a little bit spicy) Christmas Read! I was hooked just after a few pages and read it in one sitting. I was engaged from beginning to end. I really enjoyed the characters. The story was cute. This is honestly the perfect read to curl up by the fire with a mug of Hot Cocoa and snuggle under a cozy blanket. The story was short, but it was honestly perfect, nothing felt rushed or dragged out. So if you are looking for a holiday themed read, this is a great one.

This is a super fun fast paced book staring Tenley and Teagan. With opposing perspectives on love, this week-long couple’s retreat in Hawaii was the perfect setting for theses two and their challenge. This is a well-written story about people with very different views, coming together through fate! I highly recommend for a good fun read!

There’s nothing I like better at this time of year than reading a good, holiday romance, and Susan Renee hit this one out of the park!
Tenley and Teagan are not quite enemies, but they find themselves worlds apart on their ideas of finding lasting love. Tenley is a cynic when it comes to romance. She has her own podcast, Practical Adult Relationships, where she trashes the idea of love and has no intention of ever falling in love herself! On the other hand, Teagan has his own blog, and he is known as the Love Guru. He is a believer in finding and keeping love yet he hasn’t found that special someone yet. By chance, he invites her to Hawaii for an all-expense paid trip for a week at a couple’s retreat. It’s more of a challenge…if she doesn’t fall in love, he will donate a hefty sum to her podcast. And, Tenley, being Tenley, cannot resist this challenge, not only for the money but to prove to the Love Guru once and for all that love doesn’t exist. Let the games begin!!!!
The attraction between these two is electric despite their dislike of one another. Therefore, the banter between them is fantastic!!! I also liked the fact that Susan Renee kind of turned the story on its head for me. She made the female character the cynic, and the male character the one who believes in the magic of love. I was on his side from the beginning, and I kept hoping he would get her to fall for him!
She also did something different with her characters’ voices. Tenley and Teagan both have their own chapters. We are given their conversations, but we are also given their inner thoughts, so we know exactly how they feel about one another, even though they don’t! I loved that!!!!!
One of my favorite parts of the book was at the end when Renee went into detail about the other couples who are there. They have appeared in her other books, and she actually included the titles of those books so I can easily find them to read. I’m really glad I took a chance on Susan Renee. She has found a new fan in me!

Tenley has a podcast giving advice to people on how to have “practical adult relationships”. She does not believe that love conquers all and has no interest in being swayed in her opinion. Teagan is a self-proclaimed “love guru” and believes that love truly is the most wonderful thing in the world. During an interview, Teagan, AKA TJ Mack, throws down a challenge for Tenley, AKA TJ on Par, to join him for a week-long vacation to Hawaii at the resort Kamana Wanalaya to see if he can change her mind. And if he cannot, he will donate 10K to her podcast. Thinking she’s in for a free tropical vacation and can skate through the week on her own, she accepts! Only once she is there does she find out that it is a couple’s retreat week, they are rooming together, assigned to a table with other couples, AND they are going to be pretending to be a couple! Can she make it through the week pretending to be in love without succumbing to love?
I literally laughed out loud at several points in this book! The situation and story line are very believable, as are all the characters. Throughout the book you get to read Tenley and Teagan’s perspectives but there is also a chapter for each of the other couples sprinkled in there. After the epilogue the author explains that they all have their own books, too! That was fun to find out and I will now be looking into those books. 🙂 I really liked how social media played a role in this plot and not always in a good way.
Also, this is my first time reading this author and I have to say that I genuinely appreciated the author’s note: “This book is a steam-filled romcom! Definitely not a family friendly holiday read for the kids! Please don’t do it lest they be scarred for life!” The humor is right up my alley and I feel like we’d be friends should we ever meet!

If ever a book were all about the characters it is this one. Right from the start their connection, their chemistry, is evident on each page. The whole book is centred around it and for me it is what made me really engage with the story. I thought the premise of the story was great as well. It was easy to get myself lost in as the writing was great and the book was fun. I think the author has done a brilliant job with this book.and I would highly recommend it.

While I did enjoy the overall romance of the two main characters, Teagan and Tenley, I just felt completely underwhelmed by entire story. It was good, but I couldn’t engage in the story as I normally do. I read this because Hawaii during Christmas sounds amazing, but where was the Christmas at in this book? They may state it a few times but we don’t get a strong holiday feel if this is what you are looking for. Also the random chapters of the supporting characters threw me off and further lost my interest in the main romance blooming between Teagan and Tenley. I like the differing chapter perspectives normally, but we were given only a chapter per sub character and these chapters didn’t add much to the story. The best part of this book was the character of Teagan. He is simply a lovely person and I admire anyone who has that level of kindness.

This is an entertaining book! I was hooked right away by the humor and the witty playful banter between the two characters. Tenley and Teagen have very opposite opinions when it comes to love. They both have podcasts on the subject. When Teagen inadvertently invites Tenley on a romantic retreat in Hawaii, things don’t go as planned for either one of them. Their story is fun and entertaining, and the author tells a wonderful story. While the story is centered around the Christmas holiday, I recommend it for anytime of the year!

I really enjoyed this book. Connor our motocross champion and Sienna the downhill skiing Golden Girl. The paralympics are coming soon and both are training their hearts out at the same closed resort. Kurt the coach has kept it on the down low that Connor is there training as well. Sienna’s mom would lose her cool if she knew.
Sienna has had every move she makes planned and monitored during her entire skiing career, she is now starting to wonder what else is out there for her to enjoy and explore.
Connor lost his leg just below the knee in a motocross accident. He is missing the speed and is looking at downhill skiing to fill that void.
Will these two put animosities aside or will it come between their dreams.

What a fun contemporary romance read that I so enjoyed and I already highly recommend this book!
Tenley and Teagan….Teagan and Tenley…..can I saw these too were truly a match and the banter back and forth….oh my goodness. Tenley is a sharpshooter, pod cast for giving advise on “practical” relationships and really does not believe in love. Teagan is classified as the “love guru” and truly believe is love so whole hardheartedly….challenges Tenley to spend just one week at a beautiful Hawaiian resort of Kamana Wanalaya….the catch..its couples week..and Tenley only finds out upon arrival….and then getting with other couples at a dinner table…oh my gosh!! The fun, angst, banter…and that is just getting started.
I loved this story so much. It has fantastic characters and their development over the storyline, the hot sizzle between Teagan and Tenley and just overall fun. This author is new to me and I so excited to see what I can read next from this talented author!!

I absolutely adored this story and finished it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down! I loved that our female protagonist Tenley is the practical one in regards to love and Teagan our male protagonist is the Love Guru, who advocates for love. My favorite part of this story is that while also being hilarious, it is such a sweet tale. I loved the characters growth and development. I also enjoyed that we got to see view points from not only our main characters, but from the other characters in the story. I haven’t read the author’s other works, but I definitely am going to have to, so I can get to know the secondary characters better! This is definitely a fantastic book for lovers of romantic comedies.

Perfect! I hate this book, as in why am I not falling in love at a Hawaiian resort right now? Based on the synopsis I could figure that Teagan and Tinley are going to end up together, but watching them figure out their love and having fun on the island is sweet. It was nice to see Tinley come into her own, and make realizations she didn’t think she would ever see. I knew there was going to be some sort of drama, and even when I expected it, and it did come, my heart was still broken for this sweet couple. I love that they both made friends with the other couples staying at the resort and that carried over into their everyday lives after the week long vacation was over. I would be really interested to read about their love connections, especially Jacoby and Jenna, that one seems like a fun ride.

This was a fast-paced, romantic, holiday novel. Connor and Sienna are Paralympians training for an upcoming race. Each are dealing with their own complexities in life, but are determined to train. They each only know each other from stories they’ve read in the press. When they take the time to talk, Connor and Sienna realize there is more to each other than meets the eye. Their relationship blossoms in the short time they are together bonding over Christmas cookies, hot cocoa and holiday movies. This was a very entertaining read, and I was hooked from beginning to the end!

This was such a cute holiday romance! It’s a quick read too!
I was surprised by how much emotion you could feel between Connor and Sienna. The two paralympians have very different pasts but still have a connection that spoke volumes.

Kamana Wanalaya is very easy and fun to read. The characters in the story compliment each other which makes the story a lot more interesting and makes you want to keep reading nonstop. I love how the author incorporates the other couples in the book into the story, it’s not just about the main characters. Also, there are a few hilarious scenes that you can picture in your mind happening that the reader can’t help but laugh out loud.
