The Curse of a Faeblood is a well written Paranormal Fantasy that once you start reading its hard to put down. This is a new author to me but I’m a fan already. Their style of writing and attention to detail is wonderful. Her characters are well developed and fun. It felt like I was apart of the story at times. This is a story that is fast paced and will keep you guessing. Get ready to be taken on quite the with Gavyn and Ember as they seek family members amongst other things. I highly recommend reading this book and im looking forward to reading more from this Author

Desperate for money, Ten decides to try to win some quick cash in an underground fighting circuit, much to the dismay of his best friend and roommate, Juliet. But, when Ten realizes he’s out of his depth against a ruthless opponent, Jonathan Gage steps in to give him some advice that wins him the fight, but brings on a new set of problems. The win ends up coming too little, too late, anyway, as the roommates arrive home to find they’ve already been evicted from their apartment.
Gage, who now feels responsible for his advice bringing the pair into danger, offers up his home as a place to stay until they can get the whole mess sorted out. Sexual tension mounts among the three, with Ten and Juliet obviously interested in one another, but too timid to ruin their friendship; the pair seem to also have an interest in Gage, which is also reciprocated. Lots of steamy scenes happen between Gage and Juliet, Gage and Ten, and finally Ten and Juliet, culminating with all three having a shared experience.
In the meantime, Gage is coaching Ten for a fight that may be a set-up, and Juliet is struggling with her internal feelings for both men and trying to decide what she actually wants. With all of their safety being in jeopardy, Gage reaches out to his old friends to help keep his new friends safe while he works out a plan to hopefully keep them all out of trouble for good.
This is the first book of the series I’ve read, and it works perfectly fine as a standalone, but you can tell there’s more of a backstory to Gage and his old friends that would be revealed by reading the earlier books. Overall, I found the book to be a great mix of tension, build-up, and sizzle, with a sprinkling of danger and mystery.

The dangers of ruling over a Kingdom hits Ruanon in the face one night when their parents are kidnapped after a foiled assassination attempt. Now Ruanon is unsure of who to trust as they attempt to rule the kingdom and prevent war from a neighboring Kingdom.
Lihn finds herself in an unknown location while on a school trip to Australia. How did she get there? And more importantly, how does she get back home?
I really enjoyed this novel. It was fast paced and unpredictable. I couldn’t wait for both storylines to come together and how it would.
The main character being non binary is what cause my attention the most. It is not something I’ve seen before in the fantasy genre.
I saw that this is supposed to be a trilogy so I can’t wait for the next book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and connecting with the characters. I thought they had such a great chemistry and I bought into their story with easily. The Book itself I found to be well written and pretty exciting. They was a lot going on that I could get myself lost in. Although it is the second book in the series it was still enjoyable on its own. Overall this is definitely a book worth reading.

This is not my normal type of book, but I really enjoyed it. There are plenty of twists and turns, as well as character development.
Nadia is a trained government assassin of a mostly female squad, Hera Force, with a major Traumatic Brain Injury that causes her to lose track of time and has caused her to forget six whole years of her life, causing her to lose the man she loves and who loves her too. Mitch is a former MI6 agent in British intelligence, who has been in hiding after being framed for treason. When Nadia walks into his bar in Mexico, kills several drug cartel members, at first he can’t understand why she can’t remember him, but he knows he has to help her escape the police and cartel members that are now on her tail. This belief is only bolstered when she wakes up the next morning with no memory of what had happened the previous night, no memory of the six years since she last saw Mitch, and believing it is 6 years before. As Mitch works hard to get Nadia back to her teammates, Nadia struggles to make sense of her life and what is going on around her. Working together with Hera Force, Mitch and Nadia work to figure out who framed Mitch, who sent the cartel after Nadia, who is working to create a biological weapon, and who the Chessmaster, the man who is pulling all the strings, really is and try to bring him down.

Manipulator’s War ( Ruarnon Trilogy Book 1) by Elise Carlson is confusing and yet entertaining at the same time. I feel dragged into two different worlds but yet feel like I belong in both. It’s the first book that I have ever come across with a main character that is nonbinary. Not sure how or why the character became nonbinary but it does play a role in my opinion. You start off in one world and wind up another, you really feel like you are in the story as well at times.

Manipulator’s War is incredibly detailed and I took some breaks here and there just to really wrap my head around what was happening. It was a bit difficult to get into the groove at first but once I did, I was completely enthralled!
Ruarnon is our non-binary main character and they must prove that they are up to many challenges, including finding their abducted parents and trying to end a terrifying war in their home of Tarlah. They need to decide who to trust and rely on internal instincts in the face of opposition. The four students from Australia are in for a life-altering experience as they attempt to navigate through this unbelievable world they stumbled upon. Will they ever find their way back to Australia or will Tarlah become their new home?
There are many emotions woven into this book and I enjoyed the multiple vantage points from different characters. I’m excited for the release of the second book in this trilogy, highly recommend for any reader interested in YA, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or LGBTQ+ Fiction!

After traveling through a portal Linh and her friends happen upon a strange world they do not recognize. No longer in Australia they are in the world of Ruarnon and the people of Tarlah. Trapped in a time of civil unrest and a growing plague of monsters Linh will do anything to find her way back to her own time and place. Even pretend to be someone she isn’t and travel to see the heir Ruarnon herself and risk a plan for home. Will Linh be exactly what Ruarnon needs to end this war and secure everlasting peace or will their plan fail and with it the fate of them and their people? I loved this book and will definitely be reading the rest of this series!!!! I really enjoyed the inclusion of a nonbinary protagonist it made me focus on other aspects of the story that were so engaging and emotionally gripping! This book took me on an emotional roller coaster with every twist and turn. I felt like I was there with Linh and Ruarnon through every struggle! Elise Carlson did a wonderful job of creating a complex and detailed plot that is constantly surprising you as well as fast paced. This is definitely a great YA series that anyone can enjoy and highly recommend you give it a try!

Ruarnon is the heir of Tarlah, the first non-binary heir as well. They have to work a lot harder because of this. Others believe they will not do well as the next heir as they have only ever been ruled by Kings. The current king, Ruarnon’s father, believes they can be the next ruler as long as they try their best. Another king had a peace treaty with the kingdom of Tarlah but as the king of that kingdom died and his son took over, there were people against keeping the treaty alive. Resulting in going behind the current king’s back to take out the royals of Tarlah. One day, Ruarnon’s parents are abducted in the middle of the night.
Ruarnon has to take the throne of their kingdom with the help of their uncle. They have to make a lot of decisions and trust no one as people don’t like that a non-binary has taken the throne.
Meanwhile 4 teenagers are on a school trip. As they are walking along the beach, they see a trail in the woods that would make walking back so much faster. Once they enter the forest they are literally teleported to another place and time. The teens try to backtrack, only realizing the beach is completely gone. With no way back, they venture further into this new place.
Can Ruarnon find their parents and prove to everyone that they can be ruler with no problem?
Can the teenagers make it back home?
The book itself had all the elements to be something extremely interesting to me but it was kind of hard to keep track of who, what, where and when. Because of this I had trouble completely immersing myself in the words.

Youll have to read to find out! The added bonus is recipes that you can try yourself! This series was great YA angst type children’s chapter book that was wholesome, engaging and quirky and I really enjoyed it. For parents this is definitely a safe book to choose for your kids and tweens/teens for a fanstasy/magic escape

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I was looking forward to Bake Off and I wasn’t disappointed. I enjoyed reading about Cat again – the author has a wonderful writing style and makes her writing so engaging and fun to read. I loved the recipes sprinkled in again – I think I really felt the family vibe and the fun banter between each other in this book. This was another fun and light hearted read that both young adult readers and older ones will like. There is something for everyone and with the fun way in which it is written you will be flipping the pages to find out what will happen next. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and what an introduction it was! Wow I was hooked from the very start. This book definitely satisfied my enjoyment of paranormal, dark and romance genres! I loved the historical parts to the story too. There really was so much going on in this book that I was completely captivated by what I was reading. I loved the characters Greer and Theron. Greer was a strong heroine and great to read about, she was definitely strong and fierce and I absolutely loved her. Theron is kind of like the bad boy you shouldn’t but can’t help but love. I am really excited to read book 2 in this series!

A Veil of Gods and Kings book 1 by Nicole Bailey is a wonderfully written enemies to lovers’ book about a mortal Prince (Hyacinth or Cyn for short) and a Demigod (Apollo). Apollo has not ascended and took his rightful place of God of the Sun. His Father, Zeus, is not happy and give Apollo an ultimatum, ascend now or go live with Prince Cyn for a year to shadow and learn how to become a ruler. Of course, Cyn and Apollo didn’t get along at first but then slowly things begin to change, and these enemies start to develop other feelings than anger and frustration. This book is full of emotion, drama and love and you will not be able to put it down. I love all the characters that Nicole wrote into the book. This is a great alternative prospective on the Gods.

What a cute story! The story was very interesting and would keep any child invested. As a dog lover myself, I found that even as an adult I enjoyed reading along. I think there could also be several teaching points or lessons learned throughout this story. It will provide children with not only an entertaining read, but a learning experience! Definitely recommend!

My daughter and I read this together and we loved it. Such an adorable story. The point of view is from the dog. I so wish Toby had been able to talk to his HuDad and let him know what was going on. Your children will love Toby and his adventures

Toby: The (Mostly) True Story of a Former Bad Dog is a cute children’s book that my four year old son and I loved reading. This is a short chapter story that we read in an evening. This is a story about a dog named Toby. Toby can be a bit mischievous at times. He also likes to blame others for things that he has done. . Join Toby and the pesky cat as they go on a adventure. I highly recommend reading this book and we can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Gage, Juliet, and Ten meet when Gage helps Ten with an underground fight. Unfortunately, Ten’s opponent turns out to be someone you don’t want to cross, and all 3 are at risk. In the midst of this, the three are exploring attraction to each other.
There are a lot of hot scenes in this book! The three have some serious chemistry, each with the other, as well as the three together. I really liked how Gage and Juliet met. Their relationship builds quickly, but it doesn’t feel rushed. The story surrounding the romance – the fighting, Mirkle, Bart, etc. is interesting and adds lots of action too. A good, sexy read.
This is the third book in the series, but you don’t have to read the other books to enjoy this one. The characters from the first books make appearances, so if you have read them it is nice to see them again.

First and foremost I love anything to do with magic. I just knew I was going to love this story. It has a little bit of every topic I enjoy reading. Romance, thrills, magic, a dash of action and a sprinkle of mystery. The author does a phenomenal job painting a picture of the world they live in. The characters are beautifully written. I just wish Ember was less of a Damsel in distress and had come into her own a bit more. With that being said I still enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the next installment.

This was such a sweet romance. I couldn’t set this book down once I picked it up. I really enjoyed watching how Kendall’s childhood crush is all grown up and definitely not looking at her as a kid sister of his best friend anymore. She thought that things would have changed now that they’re all grown up but if anything she’s even more attracted to him. While she’s staying with him she decides to go for it and see if she can get him out of her system once and for all. But is a casual relationship going to be enough for either of them? They’re going to have to work around more than a few obstacles if they want to make a serious relationship work. There are so many sweet, steamy moments and more than a few that made me swoon! This is one book that you’re definitely not going to want to miss.

This is a super fun book that dog lovers of all ages can enjoy. Toby is a really good dog but this pesky neighborhood cat is set on making sure to make Toby look bad. She paws her way into his life and he just can’t resist chasing her through the neighborhood. Then he gets picked up and ends of in a vet’s office were some destruction takes place. He meets his new hu-mom and she loves him but Toby really doesn’t like it when hu-dad goes to work. Toby really is a good dog, it just takes some time for his hu-people to see it!
I recommend this super cute read, especially if you have budding readers!

Another fantastic read by the author. Bake Off is the second book in the Bake Believe Series and it’s an amazing book. Again with the little recipes which makes it better.
Cat is baking now and loves it. She is finally getting to visit her family’s bakery. Her mom is once again acting strange and she doesn’t know why. The quote I chose for Cat is: “There are a lot of them, whatever they are. What are they?”
Robyn is once again joining her cousin on her journey. Her family gets to go on vacation and now she’s learning things she didn’t know. The quote I chose for Robyn is: “Stop that! It’s Thanksgiving; there’s going to be a lot of things made out of pumpkin. It’s practically a rule!”

I really did enjoy this book however I think we could have been given more! Kendall is amazing. Its refreshing to have a strong female character that knows what she wants and goes after it versus being the damsel in distress. Kendall knows where she stands and doesn’t need anyones approval! Pete is everything Kendall can ask for but there’s one problem. She’s the best friends little sister, how does that work?!? Is it worth the risk? Can it really work? Pete doesn’t catch on as fast as we would like him to but if he caught on right away we wouldn’t have a story! I do wish the scenes were a little steamier!

This is a very good YA fantasy that was enjoyable to read and my first book with a character that was non-binary. There were parts that I had to really piece together and pay attention for sure. There is mystery, adventure and twists along the way as we meet Ruarnon….. assassination attempts are happening and Ruarnon has to take over the kingdom. Mix in some combining of worlds and you really have a good fantasy story with some great character development. Looking forward to book 2!
