Super Sorry by C.A King is a wonderfully written story that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till I finished. I absolutely loved this book and reading about Sarah and her special abilities. Her world is about to be turned upside especially when she learns of her special abilities. Follow along as she learns to control her abilities and tries not to make a bunch of mistakes. I highly recommend reading this book and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Book Review: Wendigo Forest Author: C.A. King Four Stars Wendigo Forest is a YA Paranormal story by C.A. King and is everything you would want in a short story. It is full of fantasy and myths that are well written and fast paced. You will be brought along on the adventures that Clara experiences and discovers. Thank you Ms. King for well developed characters who become realistic the deeper you get in the book. My only complaint is that it would have been amazing if it had been longer so that we could have gotten even more in depth and close to the Fawns. KLH
The Lies Between Us: A Psychic Romantic Suspense by Cynthia Cooke is action packed, has dangerous moments, and includes romance! Once you get started, you’ll have a hard time putting it down. Even though this book is part of a series, I had no trouble figuring out the characters and how they related to each other. I especially liked learning about Cat and Tom’s relationship. The book starts out with Cat finding out that her husband Tom is in danger, is not a pharmaceutical rep like she believed, but is actually an undercover FBI agent. Tom found out not long ago that Cat is not only an intelligent woman but also has psychic abilities. What will all these secrets mean for their marriage?

This is a young-adult series that I have enjoyed from the beginning. This is a well developed story that brings excavation of relics to life. The characters are so well developed that they made the story feel realistic and also fun to read about the adventure. The characters in this book are relic hunters that go in search of stolen relics. The problem becomes when their past comes to the present and is causing problems. In this story Adam and his friends use their experiences and skills as survival. They now find themselves in a war which they have to fight the past, will they survive? The characters made the story easy to read. This is a really great story which I highly recommend.

The Magic of Christmas by Christi Barth is an enchanting enemy to lover’s romance tale. It is a slow burn, sweet and fun read with witty banter. I enjoyed Christi’s writing style and the setting of the story. Two people after the same promotion, one a workaholic and the other the son of the owner. It is a vivid world Christi has outlined for us and it makes you feel that you are right there with the magic of Christmas. It is a simplistic and easy story for a quiet afternoon read.

Thunder On The Moor by Andrea Matthews is a historical romance story that has been born from historical events from the 16th century and it is easy to see that Andrea is passionate about it. It makes for an interesting read with time travel and being set in Scotland (as I love Scotland, it is my favourite place from my world travels), but I found the story long, a little tedious at times and slow going. I also found it hard to connect at all times with the main character, Maggie and found myself skimming through the pages. There is plenty of action and danger and interesting facts, as we learn about the life of a Border Reiver, clan wars and the events of that time.

Sarah Sorry is a teenager who believes appearances mean everything. She has abilities that emerge in the most unusual ways. Her life does a complete 360 but is it for the better? She is a super hero in the making but there will be mistakes along the way. It’s time she realizes what is really important. This is a definite must read.

This is a lovely story. I didn’t expect Rowan and Jeremy to act like this. I like how quick paced the book is without making it feel rushed. I like how the story progressed. This is a series I have enjoyed from the first book. I was happy to find a third book out and Christmas to boot. This author has continued to impress me with her attention to details and her writing skills. I was pulled into right from the beginning and kept engaged to the end. This is a shorter romance story that will pull at your heartstrings as well as your soul. The characters bring the story life and make it feel realistic. I had no issues connecting with them. This is a story about Trey and Maggie. Trey is looking forward to a quiet life as he opens his new bookstore. He is excited to decorate for the holidays but he never expected to compete with Maggie who has been nicknamed as Miss Christmas. What will happen as they compete against each other, will they find more than Christmas spirit? Who will win? This is such a great Christmas story that I really enjoyed. I enjoyed watching the growth between Trey and Maggie. They have great chemistry whether they see it or not. I found myself hoping that they would find their HEA. What happens with them you will need to read this book which I highly recommend. It will put the Christmas spirit in your heart for sure.

Bishops Gambit by McKenna Dean is the second book in the Redclaw Origins series. This is a brilliant example of a great detective novel and I liked the fact that it was set in current times. It meant the book had a unique feel to it and the story feel new and refreshing. The characters were great as well. They had such a strong connection and just seemed to work really well together – both professionally and beyond. It felt like you could really get to know them! The author has a great writing style as well. She kept the story moving at all times and really gave the characters the room to tell their story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to what comes next.

The Fire God Tour is a fantastic paranormal romance by Michele Sims. It is the 3rd book in the Moore Family Series. This was the first time I had read any of Michele Sims work so was unsure what to expect from this book. What I got was fantastic characters and a storyline that I was gripped to from the very beginning. What I also got was a huge shock as I didn’t realise that this was a paranormal book and the first time that there was paranormal activity in the book, I had to read it a few times to make sure of what I was reading – oops! Although this is the third book in a series this book can be read as a stand-alone. I hadn’t read any of the previous books in this series and could follow and understand the storyline without feeling that anything major was missing. I do, however, now want to go back and read the books that come before The Fire God Tour. Ari (Miles) is a fantastic character to read. He has so many different facets to him. I could read about him all day long. I also adored Bella and loved the interactions between the two of them, reading Bella’s angst at her growing feelings for Hip-Hop sensation Miles. This book is a fantastic paranormal romance and if that is your kind of thing then I’d definitely recommend this book.

When I first read the blurb for this book it sounded like something I would enjoy and it absolutely was! It was a fast paced thrilling read and I really enjoyed it. I’ve read a few books by this author previously when they have been included in anthologies and always enjoyed what I read. I loved the main characters, married but so many secrets between them. There was quite a lot of action in the story and I loved trying to guess what was going to happen. I was interested to find out if Tom and Cat’s marriage could survive so many secrets!! The story is on the shorter side but it definitely was not missing anything at all!! I am definitely looking forward to more to come from this author in the future! A highly recommend read!!

I really like this author; her stories are always a pleasure to read. I find it so easy to get wrapped up in what I’m reading because of her fantastic descriptive language and world building. Super Sorry was a wonderful read full of everything I’ve come to expect from this author. I really liked the main character Sarah; I did feel sorry for her at ties with everything she was trying to navigate in her teenage life. She made me laugh a few times and she was definitely a connectable and likeable character. I can see this story definitely appealing to YA and I think they would enjoy it. Overall Super Sorry is a well written story that I really enjoyed. As always I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Bishop’s Gambit is the second book in the Redclaw Origins series by McKenna Dean. This book has so much going on in it, in a good way- from espionage, an undercover investigation, history, romance, paranormal elements, suspense, action, danger, and some unexpected developments-which all made for quite an intriguing read. As expected, the story is really fascinating, and Ms. Dean definitely didn’t disappoint- proving once again that she has a real gift for storytelling! I am loving everything Redclaw, from the Origins series, to the Redclaw Security- I can’t wait to see what comes next!

The Queen’s Dog is the third book in the Empire at Twilight series by N.L Holmes. This is a very detailed and descriptive historical crime story- a bit of a mystery- with enough drama and interesting developments to keep things interesting. I have read most of Ms. Holmes’ books now and am always quite taken with the rich historical details she infuses into her stories. As with the other book of Ms. Holmes that I have read, the authors passion for history is very evident in her writing and this passion definitely added to my enjoyment of the story. As with her other books, this story is a fascinating blend of fiction and historical fact, which is woven into quite an intriguing story. This time, the story is set in a Bronze Age Syrian kingdom called Ugarit- and the age, characters, and storyline come to life with Ms. Holmes vivid detailing. I found this book to be a little slow to get going, which made it hard for me to ‘get into’- but when the pace picked up and the story developed, things got more interesting. This book is told from Naheshi’s point of view- he happens to be the Queen’s slave, and a eunuch- which also added an extra element of interest to the story. So, if you love ancient history and original stories with interesting settings and characters- as well as historical crime fiction, then you will probably want to add this to you TBR. Happy Reading!

Another fantastic read from this author! Although I haven’t read book 1 in this series I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The characters were so much fun to read about – I loved them! The author dragged me into the story from the get go and my interest was held throughout. Her descriptive detail and creative writing style make for an excellent read – it’s a story where characters and their story come to life. Whilst I’m not a huge shapeshifter fan I’ve really enjoyed the stories by this author and I am definitely looking forward to reading more in the future. Overall a fantastic read and one that I wholeheartedly recommend.

I really recommend reading the previous two books before starting on this one to help you fully appreciate the characters and really understand the story. He leads an enviable lifestyle- with anything he desires at his fingertips. But what of the downside of superstardom? Breaking Tessa: A College Sports Romance by T. Christensenis the first book in a new duet, and as the title would suggest, a college sports romance. This is a YA/new adult romance- with a snapshot of college life, basketball, drama, angst, emotion, opposites attract, and a bit of a cliffhanger ending. It took me a little bit to warm up to Jordan and Tessa- I really can’t pinpoint exactly why, but I was interested in the outcome of the story all the same. I am hoping that they will win me over in book two. The characters were well developed, fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws which helped to make the story come to ‘life’. Waiting on book #2 to see how things will play out.

Tom Phillips is an FBI agent on an undercover assignment investigating a well known drug lord and his cartel- building a case against them when his confidential informant goes missing. Things take an intense turn when Tom is captured trying to rescue her. With her husband missing, Cat’s world is about to become quite eventful. Secrets will be revealed, and the danger will mount. Cafe Confidential by Linda Filler is a beautiful Memoir of hardships, self love, and loving life. Linda Filler will definitely make you self reflect as you read, dragging you deeper into the connection you will develop with Linda throughout the book. I loved reading about this authors life, and definitely want to read more of Linda’s work! I feel like I’ve known her for years, and I think you will too once you finish this Memoir! I really enjoyed this book, it pulled me in from the start and it kept me reading throughout I didn’t find myself getting bored or anything. I really liked the characters and thought they were well developed rather than be supporting 1 sided characters they were really well rounded. I loved the little short novella and I’d be interested to read more of C.A. King’s writing. But yes really thoroughly enjoyed the story!
The Moore Family Saga is a series that keeps getting better with every book that comes out. The plot line is engaging. Within this in mind, the characters are fully developed but they grow throughout the story. I love watching Belle grow within this story. She is cold as ice but Miles, the fire god wants to make her ice turn into water. Miles is used to having everything he wants to have. He is used to his superstar lifestyle. Will he be able to slow down the fire for the ice queen Belle? Will Belle show attention to Miles or will she remain cold as ice? I highly recommend this story to find out if Fire and thaw out Ice?

This is the 3rd book in the Moore Family Saga. I really enjoyed this book. The characters are well written and the story is full of twists, turns and romance.
Miles is now a grown up and a famous star. He is set to start his tour with the help of his team. Miles never believes in relationships or love. He’s too busy being a famous star for that. That is until he meets Bella.
Bella works for Miles doing his marketing, what neither if them expect is for Miles to fall for her. Miles calls her the Ice Queen and with his obsession with fire I guess opposites attract.
Bella wants to do her job. She doesn’t want to fall for a star who can have any woman he wants but the attraction is too strong. Will they remain professional or will lines gets blurred and someone burnt.

Eagle of the Empire is an action-packed tale of family, friendship, and fantastic historical secrets. Everyone adores a hopeful team of heroes, as well as a worthy cause, and this book provides both in spades.
Two of my favorite aspects of this book are the importance put on family and the life brought to the tale of a famed hidden legion of Roman fighters. While both the sibling bond and the exploration of a lost piece of history are both used in many stories, Eagle of the Empire gives the concepts a fresh coat of paint. This story is the retelling of a great classic story, Being a YA book would stop most from reading it. On the other hand, I grabbed this book and devoured it in one sitting. This book has a familiar plot line. It is filled with fantasy and SciFi all rolled up into it. The amazement of the scenery in the book paints a beautiful picture with some added descriptions on the side. The characters are fully developed. We find the story is about Margaretha and Keltson. Keltson has a looking glass that he uses to be a hero to some. Margaretha has bitten into a poisonous apple, Kelson comes to change everything around. Is the story starting to sound familiar? I highly recommend this story to see the fairy tale told in Rachel Huffmire’s story.

Cafe Confidential: An unfiltered and intimate memoir was written by Author Lynda Filler about herself. This is a new genre for me. I don’t usually read memoirs. This book covers Lynda’s many travels around the world, as well as touches on her relationships with her friends, family, and several men over her lifetime. Lynda was a good girl from Canada who followed the rules in her younger years. Lynda only took time off from being a working woman to bring her children into the world and she finds herself missing something in life. She finds out she has a heart condition that may take her life, and she decides she needs to live her life. She packs the only belongings she wants to own into a suitcase, sells and liquidates everything she owns, and sets off on an adventure. I found this book to be a slow-paced read. I enjoyed it chapter by chapter over the course of a week. I found I learned a lot about people of different countries, as well as a great amount about those countries themselves. Unfortunately, I felt like there was a lot of missed opportunities to use more colorful writing to describe many of the places she had visited. I also felt like I didn’t connect with Lynda on a personal level. The story felt more matter of fact than I would have liked. However, overall, I give this story 4 stars!

When you are attracted to a person you would never think you would be, can you be brave and follow your gut.
Miles Moore is now 26 years old and now has a successful career as Hip Hop sensation “Ari”, living up the popstar lifestyle he can have any woman he wants but why it always the way when you are attracted to someone you never would have looked at twice normally but ther is just something about his Chief of Marketing he can not get out of his mind.
Bella is good at her job, she prides herself in making a good impression but why is working with Ari so hard for her. The attraction to this enigmatic person does not help the situation and she feels utterly smitten. There is only one problem, Ari enjoys pushing himself to the limits and when he has a healthy fascination to fire which Bella can’t stand will there be a time she needs to walk away or too the smouldering chemistry.
I really enjoyed this second installment in this series, it is great to see these characters interaction and the twists in the story enhanced it along the way. The story was full of intrigue and chemistry and not disappointing.
I loved the way the characters grew together and offered a trust to each to let there secrets unravel but will the love they feel for each be enough to carry on the relationship, you will have to read the book.
I hope there are more stories in this series and look forward to reading more.

I enjoyed this sweet Halloween romance story. This is a well written story that has characters that are full of heart and bring the story to life. I had no problems connecting with them as they made the story feel realistic. This is a story about Belladonna who is a high school teacher who has put her job on the line for one musical. If she doesn’t impress the board she will lose her job. Cade can’t seem to outrun his past as he returns to the small town that holds his secrets. Will this musical be the one thing to bring these two back together? Putting both of their careers on the line will they lose it all? These two are such great characters and the life they bring to the story. I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story and finding what they lost. This is a great story that I highly recommend.
