Landing the Lawman (Hills of Texas #5) by Kadie Scott. I LOVED this book. Its the 5th book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Carter Hill who chose to walk away from a good relationship because she wanted a career outside of the home. If she had married and stayed home she would be working on the ranch and being a wife and mom, she wanted that but she also wanted more. She wanted to be a Water Rights Consultant for a long time and she had worked hard to become one. Now she was working with some amazing attorneys and she felt as if she was making a difference and working with Logan Cartez one of those amazing attorney was an added bonus. She was attracted to Logan but she was afraid to cross the friendship line because she knew Logan didn’t do relationships. After an amazing night together can Carter just go back to being friends? She knew all along Logan didn’t want more but she doesn’t want to go back to just friends. Logan is so thrown by his feeling for Carter he doesn’t know what to do. Read Landing the Layman to find out if Logan can try his luck at a real relationship!

The Sister Pact: Home Is Where The Heart is, is the first book that I have read by Jacquie Bigger. If this book is anything to go by, then it won’t be the last of her book that I will read. I loved this book so much.
Holly Tremaine has returned home as she is suffering from a life threatening disease and has had to take a break from her job as a violinist. Holly had left home to chase her dream and escape her family. Holly was devastated when her sister Susan got pregnant by Holly’s boyfriend Steven and then married him. So you guess that coming home would not be easy for Holly. Added to that Holly has then slept with Steven’s twin Levi at Susan and Steven’s wedding. A recipe for fun and games!
The sexual tension is evident immediately between Levi and Holly but she does everything possible to fight the pull that he has on her.
I really loved this story. The interactions between Holly and Levi are fantastic to read but in addition, I loved the interactions between the 2 sisters as they tried to mend their broken relationship. This story pulled me in straight away and I was hooked to the very end. I was unable to put this book down and had a late night as I read and read to get it finished. It really was that good.
100% recommend this book.

I love Rowan Shaw’s books. They are all always so different from anything I’ve read. They are a complete breath of fresh air and I can’t get enough of it! Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading them all!

Noah’s life is perfect until it wasn’t. After his boyfriend leaving his life just started crumbling into pieces until he so he reaches out to his ex-lover and best friend Adrien but is surprised to the love and support in Adrien’s circle. Can Noah finally find happiness.

I loved all aspects of this story. It was so beautifully written and it’s probably my favorite one yet!

The Wicked Wolves of Windsor: and other fairytales by Byrd Nash was a wonderful collection of various stories. I loved how each one was creative and entertaining. I could not stop reading them. In loved the characters and scenery of each story. They were fun. My favorite stories were, “The Queens’s Favorite” and “Granny Starseed.” Both were magnificent and interesting. I loved the horse Malika in The Queen’s Favorite. It had a somewhat sad ending but was very enjoyable. Granny Starseed was funny and romantic. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

I absolutely adore this series! Its one of those series that completely fills your heart up throughout the whole book!

Carter is a water writes consultant and her biggest client to date is Logan who helps farms with their water supply. They started as a purely professional relationship turned into a beautiful friendship. Carter is a workaholic. She lives to work and doesn’t take time to do much of anything else. Logan shows her there is more to life than working. It took a series of events for Logan and Carter to finally cross that line they’ve been toeing and finally find the love they were destined for.

I love this series and this book! Kadie writes such beautiful stories and I cannot wait to read more from her!

REBOUND (REWIND BOOK 4) By Rowan Shaw was another amazing read. I love how the author brings the story to life with detail, humor, and creativity. This story has good flow and is easy to follow. It is organized and easy to visualize. The cover work is also attractive and eye catching. I have been following this series for some time and I like how the author makes the books easy to be read as a standalone. Definitely worth the read.

When it comes to the Wicked Wolves of Windsor by Byrd Nash. I am a huge fan, every story was better than the last. They weren’t sweet and innocent like a certain mouse controlled company tried to turn fairy tales into. They’re reminiscent of the original Grimm’s Fairy Tales which brought a huge smile on my face. It was hard to pick a favorite of the stories, and some of the twists at the end had me grinning on a few of them. Byrd has a way of taking fantasy and making it her own and still being incredibly empowering, especially for the females. I will say in the last story it was nice to see a flash back to Logan (from Byrd’s other book, ‘Never Date a Siren’) and some aspects of his family life. I look forward to many more stories from Byrd and Recommend this, and her other books to everyone I know!!

Taming Zane (Almost Perfect Series Book 2) by Lisa Lanay. I love this series. This is the story of Shannon McGregor who is traveling to San Francisco for an interview for a Grant for work. While on the plan she meets Zane Taylor a plastic surgeon and he’s hot and nice! He travels all over helping people that need plastic surgery so he’s a really really good guy but he doesn’t do relationships. Shannon thinks she may really like this guy but she doesn’t want to get hurt. Would they be willing to sacrifice their careers and dreams for each other. Will Zane be able to be in a real relationship? This is a super sweet love story that you will really get attached to the characters. Read Taming Zane you will be so glad you did!

Landing the Lawman is the fifth and pretty sure the final book in The Hills of Texas series by Kadie Scott.

Carter finally got her story and I love it. I don’t know if Logan is the type I would have put her with but it so worked. They started as coworkers, then worked their way up to friends and after several years they stop fighting the tension.

Logan is more than you expect and see at the beginning. A lot of what he does and decisions he makes all come from trying to escape a painful past.

I’m not sure which I loved more, the Hill family or the fact the live here in Texas and even have some time in Austin which is a city near and dear to my heart even with all of the construction we have.

Hope the Hills make an appearance in the future, but even if they don’t I know their stories ended perfectly.

The Wicked Wolves of Windsor: and other fairytales by Byrd Nash is a collection of 6 fairytales which are interesting and original- they have all the traditional flavour of the classics, but with a modern twist. It is a very quick and easy read. My favourite was Granny Starseed.

-A Society of Heartless Women
-Granny Starseed

A great little fantasy read- full of adventure, action, drama, quirky characters, and more.

Sky to Sea was an incredible, heartfelt novel! There was so much involved in the novel (I won’t go into details because spoilers) that ring so true with society today. From forbidden love, to different nationalities, and mental illness, this novel touches on so many topics that are relevant today in real life. I didn’t read the first novel, but this one grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go. I couldn’t stop reading it! I can’t wait to read the first one and the last one! I highly recommend this novel, it is also fitting for any each, young adult to adult.

Broken by Love (The Full Circle Series) by MJ Masucci is a highly emotionally charged romance story where you are so mad and frustrated and you just want to smack some sense into the characters. Never doubt the power of a woman’s intuition but I found it hard that a woman would put up with what she did as well. It has all the makings to make a good story, but it fell short with me as I just could not connect with the characters because I was so disappointed with all of their behaviour.
I am sure there are many of you that will really enjoy this story so give it a go.

The writer gives us two people who teach each other about what is important in life while throwing them into some heated moments … you will be cheering with Carter when she is trying to show Logan that they are the two halves of a whole and you will be crossing your toes and fingers for one satisfying ending!

Sky to Sea: Crimson Sash- Book 2 by Amanda Marin
4 Stars!!!!

It is one of my favourite things discovering a new author. This is the second book in the series but my own habit first book I have read by this author and this series. I didn’t find it hard to follow the story and was totally engrossed in the book. I find the author’s created world very interesting and unique. I like the romance undertone to the book and the bits of drama that unfold through the whole book.

Neve and Micah’s forbidden love is just such a heart gripping part of the story. The drama that they went through to get where they are and the drama that follows on. I really found that the world the author created could in someways mirror reality now a days. I found myself really drawn to Micah’s character and the traumas he endured all because he dared to love. I just could not put this
book down and I will definitely read more from this author and this series in the future.

For a better understanding and connection with the characters I highly suggest you read them all in order, the last thing you want is to be lacking anything. As each read that Rowan Shaw creates she takes you on an emotional journey that flows effortlessly from chapter to chapter, she has an amazing way with words that connects you to not only the story but the characters. These characters are easy to connect to, relatable and real, just following their journey it makes you not want to put this read down! This is a brilliant read that shouldn’t be missed, I can’t wait to see where else we are taken with this author, and what other reads she brings us.

I really loved this, I think I even liked it more than the first one which is saying a lot because I loved the first. Micah and Neve are such strong and wonderful characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. In this book there are some mental issues dealt with that was written so well. There are other great supporting characters as well in this dystopian fantasy book. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this story except to say that this series is a must read and I cannot wait to read the next book!!! This author did an exceptional job writing an amazing story, I highly recommend this book.

Covert Threat is the fifth book in the Gray Ghost series. It mentions characters from previous books, but you can follow the story line without having to read them.

I think this is probably one of my favorites in this series. I loved the suspense build up. I enjoyed the equality of the mystery and romance. The romance part didn’t overtake the main story like in so many novels. Jules’ character was well written and I enjoyed following her story throughout the book.

I can’t write too much more without giving away the mystery. But, this book made a great rainy day read!

I give The Wicked Wolves of Windsor: and other fairytales by Byrd Nash, 5 stars.

This is a wonderful collection of fairytales for adults. Mind you, it isn’t x-rated or horribly violent, these stories are just written for the adults. They are really well written too. Each story is different but so enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed each and every one of the stories in this collection. This author really knows how to write short stories. Amusing, intriguing, and hard to put down, these stories pull you in and you can’t wait until you read the next one. Each one is a quick read, but you won’t be able to put it down. While I love them all, I think my favorite one is The Queen’s Favorite. I have never read anything like it before. This story, along with quite a few others in the book, I would love to see a full novel or series about. I want more.

If you enjoy supernatural fairytales, I highly recommend this book.

In Other Words (Boothbay Harbor Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes. This story really captured a piece of me. The characters are so connectable and well written. I had times of being on an emotional roller coaster with each character but I loved it. Each of our main characters have stories to share and you won’t want to miss them. From start to finish I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. The storyline is well thought out and well written. It’s got a nice pace of events never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Great read. Four stars and highly recommended!

Landing the Lawman was a great 5 star read and book five in the Hills of Texas series.

Carter is a water rights consultant that works with Logan on cases. She has known him for years. Now that they are both single she is starting to see him in a different light, he is very attractive. While out celebrating after a day in court she gets a phone call from home that changes things for her. She gets a round of shots from the bar and gets flirty with the bartender, Logan sees this and something about it makes him jealous. He can tell that Carter has been different since her call and questions her on it, the alcohol makes her brave and she tells him what she needs at that moment.

Logan immediately excuses them from the celebration and takes her to his home. On the way to his house he tells Carter his intentions and she is shocked. He’s going to give her what she needs. Lets just say they have a heck of a steamy evening. Things are slightly awkward the next morning until Carter gets a call from her Dad, she has to go home to take care of her mother. Logan shocks her when he offers to go with her.

Can they keep they keep things professional or will they fall for each other?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. Logan and Carter were great. All of the secondary characters were great, Carter has a large family. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing and I can’t wait to read more from this series. 1-click and get started today.

I really love this author as a whole and I have loved everything I have ever read of hers and this one is no different. This has all the great feels I look for in a good romance. There are definitely room temperature rising moments and plenty of them. There are also wonderful characters. I love how confident Sarah is in her sexuality, she is also an intelligent woman and a good mother. She thinks she is just looking for a new friends with benefits type relationship but then she finds herself having feelings that are unexpected. I love how realistic the feelings and actions in this story are, I found myself saying I understand what she’s feeling I have felt that way too. I don’t want to give anything away so I’m just going to say that this was an awesome read and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book you won’t be sorry.

If you love short, sweet stories, The Sister Pact is the book for you. This was a very quick read, and it had me hooked from the beginning. I loved watching (reading) the reconnections, the drama and the blossoming love. This is a story that will make you feel good, with a fulfilling ending. I loved Trish and her stunning ability to play the piano. That is something I myself have always enjoyed but I am no where near as good as she. I also loved the struggles she overcame and how her character changed and developed over time. It was amazing. This truly was a wonderful read and I highly recommend it.

Will this be the help Noah is asking for, or will it be a mistake?

Rowan Shaw has opened my eyes with this bisexuals romance. The book was detailed in M/M as well as M/F relationships. I can tell you this book was a page turner for me. I love to learn all I can. I found this book informative and interesting. I hope to read more from this author. Who better then Rowan Shaw?

The Runaround might be the sixth book in the Carolina Connections series. But you can read it as your first book by Sylvie Stewart like I did and want more. Ari and Jax are perfect for each other between the bickering and the flirty text you will swoon. No matter what was going on in their lives and let me tell you there was a lot going on. They seem to be each other’s calm in a storm.

Jax and Lola’s (his daughter)relationship was rocky at first but sweet and emotional that my heart broke for Lola at one point.

This book had its slow moments in the beginning but when things started to move faster I found myself unable to start reading. I loved the secondary characters, that I have to go back and find out what happened in their books because I can see more drunk girl night with lots of laughs.
